"Late-Night Pintxo Stop Casa Senra is a staple of the pintxo scene in the San Sebastián neighborhood of Gros. They have an ample menu, with an interesting selection of croquetas (one that is clams in salsa verde) and some great raciones (fried txopitos, or baby squid). But the useful takeaway from here is that they are the bar that is always open, a great last stop when most bars are closing their kitchens."

Excellent pintxo! My favorite was the baby squid dish - was on a food tour and it was the best I had.

We loved it! One of the few places we went back to twice! We just really like the low key atmosphere and friendly service, and mix of customers who were mostly local, from young people to elderly. Just a nice vibe with amazing food! The sweet pork rib was insanely good, and definitely worth trying - it just melts in your mouth with that incredible pork flavour. The vermouth was also really tasty - a bit too tasty, quite easy to drink too many 😋

Very delicious food, very warm service. We came here twice and loved everything we had. The rice with foie, mushrooms with foie, beef cheeks and pintxos were amazing. They open all day which is a plus if you’re looking for food/drinks when most others are taking siestas.

Best meal we had in San Sebastián. We were lucky to get a table for two, the staff were brilliant. Sangria was the best I’ve had Had the calamari, tomato’s, croquettes and beef cheek all so delicious

The staff here are friendly and efficient. The food is tasty, and you should not skip a croquette here; they are not too salty and have a beautiful creamy filling. The steak we ordered had great layers of fat without being a fatty steak. The bravas were served with a punchy spicy sauce, but you could still taste potato. The scallops came loose from the shell, unlike other places. They sat in a lovely sauce, great for mopping up with the bread that comes with every order. I'll be visiting this place again.

Popped in for a couple of Pintxos and a glass of wine and was very impressed. The place seemed very popular with locals and there was a really nice atmosphere. Txakoli was good and the croquetas we had were fantastic, we especially enjoyed the mussel one. Will definitely visit again to try more of the menu.

We visited Casa Sentra Donostria in June 2024. I recently tried to replicate the candied pork dish but failed. The food was so amazing that even my teenage daughter talks about it nearly six months later. By complete happen stance, we will be moving to San Sebastian in July 2025 for an amazing job opportunity. We are setting our house hunt radius based on this restaurant. That is how good it was!

My experience at this restaurant, unfortunately, was far from positive. I waited outside for 10 minutes before anyone even bothered to approach me and offer a menu or any service. When the waitress finally arrived, she actually attended to another table that had arrived five minutes after me. When my drink arrived, I was served beer in a wine glass, which was odd and inappropriate. I ordered several dishes, and in one of them, which included mushrooms with duck breast and sauce, the dish arrived with my fork literally drowning in the sauce, and to make things worse, the plate itself was broken! When I pointed this out and requested a new fork, the waitress didn’t understand why I wouldn’t just take the fork out of the sauce myself. Shockingly, she took the fork out of my plate, sticking her finger into the sauce – it was absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. When I received my calamari dish, it was practically thrown onto the table in an aggressive manner. To make matters worse, the waitress decided to ignore my personal space and even had the audacity to touch my shoulder with her finger, which I found rude and intrusive. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing, both in terms of service and the professionalism of the staff. I do not plan to return, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to others.
