The 16 Best Restaurants In Palermo - Palermo - The Infatuation

"Take your coffee break on the cusp of the scenic Piazza Bellini square at Casa Stagnitta, the outpost of the oldest family-owned coffee roaster in the city. Their torrefazione roasting facility has been toasting up beans in Palermo since the ‘20s, so it’s safe to say the owners know a thing or two about great coffee. Stand at the small bar or sit down for outside table service. You can grab a coffee or tea and a little snack at any time of day—they have gelato, granita, and a few sweet and savory bites." - linda sarris

My favorite place for breakfast pastry or a quick slice of cake in the afternoon–plus excellent coffee any time of day–is Casa Stagnitta near San Cataldo.

This is a lovely cafe located right next to the church of La Martorana. There are several outdoor tables surrounded by shrubs with each table having a real plant which is nice. We popped in for a light breakfast of a croissant and Danish style pastry. It has an extremely varied menu of coffees of which I chose Pistachio which was fantastic. 😋 There is also some choices of teas too. There is, of course, a large selection of food to accompany the coffees, though not all were available on our visit. Service is fine.

Lovely little spot in the heart of Palermo! I ordered a green coffee and sat on the terrace—everything was tasty and the atmosphere was great. I also asked for a glass of water and they gave it to me for free, which was a nice touch. Highly recommended!

Considering this is 200m away from one of the busiest streets in Palermo, this spot it SO quiet. We stayed in a small apartment around the corner and this became our regular coffee/croissant spot. I can HIGHLY recommend the coffee and pistachio croissants - and if you’re lucky you may bag a table in the street under the lemon trees 🍋

This little café is an absolute gem! Casa Stagnitta was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. We sat outside in the charming outdoor seating area and savored every bite. The lentil soup was hearty and flavorful, the penne pomodoro was perfectly cooked with a rich, comforting sauce, and the grilled squid with vegetables was fresh, tender, and beautifully prepared. We ended on a high note with the Coppa Gelato—truly fabulous and the perfect sweet finish. Every dish was amazing and full of flavor. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, delicious food in a cozy, welcoming setting!

A nice little corner to get an affagato or gelato in a brioche bun, on a quiet side street near the hustle and bustle of the old city; great for a quick break on a hot summer day. Everything we had was great, highly recommended!

The perfect place if you want to have a breakfast with an Italian coffee as a Sicilian. Fast service and welcoming waiters.

There are two parts to this place - the shop which has a great range of freshly roasted coffees, and the cafe/restaurant. The shop was spot on. They were very knowledgeable and helped me decide which beans to buy. Well priced and excellent quality. We were encouraged to enjoy the coffee in their restaurant, which we obliged. Things went a bit downhill sadly. We were not offered a warm welcome, we had to ask for a menu then we had to ask how to order. We were told it was table service but the minutes went past and no one came. The staff (all three) were not approachable or warm in any way. I felt an inconvenience to them despite it being relatively quiet. That being said, the coffee itself and the fresh orange juice were great. It just lacked the service to accompany.

I went in to try their „green coffee” after seeing it on TikTok. It was good but but very small considering I paid 5 euros. Service not the best, it seemed chaotic and not that friendly
