Be prepared for long queues at immigration—typical of many airports around the world. It seems the number of travelers has increased, but the infrastructure hasn’t quite caught up, especially with the limited number of air bridges. On the plus side, the airport has a large and organized parking area. There are no fixers, hustlers, or unlicensed drivers hanging around, which is a big relief. Overall, a decent experience.
Mohammed V International Airport is Morocco’s busiest aviation hub and a key gateway to Africa. Built by the U.S. in 1943, converted to civilian use post-independence.
95% renewable energy-powered.
Recognized for service quality (e.g., 2023 ASQ-ACI award). Modern yet infused with Moroccan culture (duty-free, local cuisine, artisan shops) design.
In short, Mohammed V Airport combines historical significance, modern efficiency, and strategic global connectivity, embodying Morocco’s growth and cultural identity.
