"Casamar boasts an elevated location with fine views of the bay from its welcoming terrace. Modern cuisine with plenty of personality, a nod to Catalonia’s culinary traditions, and as much prominence as possible to native ingredients." - Michelin Inspector

Did not stay here, so can’t comment on the accommodation, but dining was very good. Four of us had a mid week dinner, looking at the menu earlier in the day we were confused by the tasting menu options, unusually there are two as well as an à la carte option, as the restaurant is quite small we did not understand how they could offer such a wide choice. Popping in as we walked by, the staff clarified how it worked and made it easy to choose. The food is very good and the service is outstanding, we went for the smaller tasting menu, portion sizes were well measured and balanced. Wine list is extensive, still managed to choose one out of stock though, but the suggested alternative was very good too. Overall, highly recommend.

Came for dinner on a weekday, there are 2 set menus to choose from aswell as an a la carte menu, we opted for the shorter set menu which was plenty of food so don’t worry about quantity! The small menu they gave us to keep throughout the meal was great and had lovely designs, the staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable, the description given with each course was brilliant and explained to us how produce was seasonal and planned this way. The food was delicious, it was not the best we had in Llafranc but definitely top 3 and was absolutely delicious but the standout was definitely the amazing location and the incredible staff!

Basic rooms. Beautiful view from the restaurant. Just a 2 minute walk to the beach. Great location overall. Excellent breakfast offering. We tried the tasting menu for dinner one night...it was a bit underwhelming for a Michelin star restaurant. Service was very good.

Super nice hotel - the view from the breakfast room is stunning. The whole hotel is very stylish but classy and elegant (not too much or pretentious). The food is just as good and my biggest awards goes to the staff: the ladies are super friendly and helpful. Story time: I left my clothes over night on the balcony and they were completely wet. The ladies helped me and offered me to put it in the dryer of the laundry so it can gently get dry - thanks so much ♥️ 🙏

Not sure why, (or maybe I do), we never felt welcome at the hotel. The room was okay, but quite warm and noisy, perhaps because it is over the kitchen! European shower over a slippery tub (seniors beware!) The tub is the perfect size for a ten-year-old child. The TV didn't turn on the first night, but after inspecting it, found it was unplugged and my laptop screen is bigger. No matter, the channel selector is indecipherable. |At breakfast we were shown to the worst table with almost no one there--changed to a table with a view. The view is killer. Dinner on the second night--shown to the same bad table, with almost no one there. Asked to change, but were told that others had booked before us. (Or is it that tourists, who may not return, don't get the best tables and service, preferring to have locals with repeat business?) |The sommelier placed a sideways touch-screen computer on a stand on our table. Told to use the buttons--wine-region-year-price, etc.--and up comes views of available bottles. Two Ribera del Dueros came up--directed to the more expensive one, of course, 139 euros. Asked if there was a chardonnay-type offering by the glass for the amuse bouche. Poured a "Macon" which was ice cold, bitter. Did they save the corked wine for tourists? The Ribera was full of tannins--opposite of our desired style choice. So, why have a sommelier at all? ||The tasting menu had several issues--they brought over a round of sourdough and a guy in a toque made a big deal about pouring a teaspoon of olive oil in a small bowl. Then they brought over a warm, dry rosemary muffin. Huh? Amuse bouche were so-so. One course was two small cold shrimp in a bowl, then the toque guy poured warm, brown sauce over them--was the sauce cooked from shrimp shells? Yuck. My fish, sea bass or dorada was underdone, my wife's was done well. Other courses were not memorable. We travel to Europe three months a year, and know good food and wine and speak Spanish. Whether Omikase or Haute Cuisine--we've had them all--this place just doesn't measure up. ||One more thing--no one ever "engaged us" in English or Spanish the entire time we were there...goog morning, how was your day, happy to have you stay with us. Nada.

We were a group of 8 ladies on a 50th birthday tour of Spain and our lunch at the Michelin star Cassamar restaurant was an absolute highlight.|We had the 8 course tasting menu and had the sommelier and our lovely waiter Joe recommend wines. The food arrangement was exquisite and the portion perfect for such a big meal|we arrived at 1.30 and left at 5.30pm.|Despite its obvious good reputation this place was not stuck up, the chef visited all the tables and his sister was excellent in front of house.|We were 950E all up for 8 and had a good go at the wine so no complaints from us.

Yelp
Casamar exceeded every expectation I had - absolutely to die for delicious. Started with small tastes from the chef - delicate cod Bon bons, toasted ravioli with pine nut, kale with sweet potato purée. We ordered a la carte, and they were unbelievably understanding regarding my Mom's celiac disease - even brought her extra gluten free bread and dipping sauce. Started with the scallops and then had the langostine with rice and the duckling. One of the chefs even comes out to prepare the rice at your table. Chocolate dessert with cardamom. Can't even describe how effortless the service was and what purely smooth and delicious experience it was. Calm and understated interior put the focus on the food.
