"The soundtrack is pumping and the open kitchen bustling, at the Sanchez-Iglesias family’s reinvention of what was previously Casamia restaurant. The modern Italian small plates burst with flavour: the fried semolina with parmesan is a great way to start, the pasta dishes are exceptional, and the tiramisu uses a secret family recipe. Service is nicely paced and attentive." - Michelin Inspector

Spotlight on Bristol, England

"Set in the old Bristol General Hospital building on the harborside and run by Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, Casamia has held a Michelin star since 2009. It’s welcoming and homely, with a serving team who are charming and professional in equal measure; proof if ever it were needed that a star doesn’t equal stuffy! The chefs bring the plates to your table themselves, and the skillfully prepared dishes are boldly flavored and highly creative." - The MICHELIN Guide Nordic Editorial Team

10/10! Definitely the best restaurant in Bristol. We had an amazing time for our anniversary dinner and enjoyed every minute. The location is great and very romantic atmosphere with minimalistic interior design. The staff extremely friendly and helpful! The food was mind blowing- especially the pasta!! The best pasta we’ve had and we are crazy fans of Italian food. The portions are great considering it’s a set menu. Can’t wait to visit Bristol again and visit Casa! Don’t miss out

Wow, what a beautiful restaurant & experience for a birthday meal. We had the 5 course £65 menu and every dish was incredible. We loved that they were all explained as they came out. The atmosphere / vibe is stunning. The attention to detail with the lighting really took it to the next level. The service was a bit odd / lacking in places. At one point, one of the staff members came up to our table and simply said "your wine is finished" and walked off.... No one asked if we wanted any more drinks at any point. It did make us all laugh.

I honestly don’t have a bad word to say about this place. The service is great, super friendly but not intrusive. The quality of the food is unreal, we were perplexed that there wasn’t a queue out the door and we didn’t need to book. They have a great pricing structure so it can suit all budgets, we went for the mid ranged and it is some of the best food we have ever eaten. We were at a Michelin starred restaurant a couple of weeks before and this blew it out the water. This is a MUST VISIT in Bristol ❤️

Easy to miss from the outside, and not much to see on the inside, the whole focus of Casa is on food and service. And both are fantastic, I must say. We went for the 65GBP menu, and by then end of it where neither hungry nor disappointed. Expect plenty of food, and the dish quality was fantastic all through the meal. My favourite was probably the lion mane mushroom in panko and the sirloin, but honestly, there weren't any weak dishes.

Really great restaurant! We had the chefs special which was absolutely the right decision. The food was traditional Italian but elevated and the flavours were great! The cocktails were perfect! The service was fantastic and staff were very attentive. Only thing that was slightly off putting was the music. Early 2000s pop didn’t feel the right vibe for this place. But overall loved the rest of our visit!

Meal was amazing! Went with my boyfriend for our anniversary. This restaurant is perfect for couples or friends wanting to enjoy an evening out with good food. The food was amazing and staff talked through every dish. The focaccia bread was unbelievable as well as the pasta dishes! And the sorbet was also amazing. Couldn’t fault it. Would highly recommend a visit!

Amazing food in a great location. We came here as we had a voucher gifted to us, and were very grateful when the bill came as its pricey! The menu is in Italian so we had to ask to be talked through it but the staff were really helpful and only too happy to oblige. They recommended 5 dishes each from across the menu (starters, cured meats, pasta, meat, vegetables) which was fine for us. For two ppl with a bottle of wine this came out at c.£150, so fine if you feel like splashing out. High points on the menu for us were the chicken-stuffed olives, and the asparagus with egg and Parmesan- so good!

Stunning food, well-matched wines and an incredibly friendly and knowledgable team both front-of-house and at the pass. We were treated as first-timers to a tour of the kitchen, welcomed by the entire team despite them being busy preparing the menu. We enjoyed the tasting menu. 14 courses along with wine flight. Every dish was enthusiastically presented by the chef that prepared it. A selection of interesting and well-matched wines were expertly introduced by the two brilliant sommeliers. An incredible journey of visuals, aromas, flavours and textures. Every morsel was a treat! The whole team, led by Joe made us feel welcome without being overbearing. The ambience was perfectly matched to the menu. Not an everyday outing as it is expensive, but as a rare treat it was worth every penny.
