SF Restaurants With The Best Tableware - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Casaro Osteria is a Marina destination for puffy-crusted pizzas, pastas, and technicolor cocktails—but we also love coming here for the chicken plates. Not edible chicken. Plates with chickens painted on them. Each has adorable illustrations of fowl that match the roost of chicken-shaped salt and pepper shakers, flower vases, and cocktail glasses shaped like heads." - julia chen 1

Casaro Osteria - Review - Cow Hollow - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"At this Italian spot in Cow Hollow by the Il Casaro people, you’ll eat off plates decorated with roosters, drink out of head-shaped goblets that look straight out of White Lotus, and generally have a pleasant time over great Neapolitan pizzas. Aside from the wood-fired pies with chewy crusts and globs of sweet mozzarella, pay attention to their section of housemade pastas—they’re served in generous portions and flawlessly al dente. We especially like the bigoli arrabbiata, a saucy dish that’s punched up with calabrian chilis. Stick to the pastas and pizzas (the appetizers, like saffron arancini and grilled asparagus, are just fine)—and resist the urge to redecorate your entire kitchen with rooster plates—and you’ll be on the path to success." - Julia Chen

Google
Absolutely loved it. The hostess (I didn't catch her name) was friendly and got us a nice table in the back. Justice was our server and he was very helpful with recommendations. Food was delicious. Cocktails were delicious. Atmosphere was great. I'll come back again to try their pizzas.

Google
Good place with lovely atmosphere and authentically Italian a bit slow service. Big menu variety and pretty tasty food. Freshly made with intriguing accompaniments. Not the best in the area but worth the visit.

Google
I was very impressed by our pizza and pasta. And the Mule at Capri cocktail is so good. Erick at the bar is also top notch. I will come back just to visit him and enjoy his cocktails !

Google
Excellent food! Everything we ordered exceed expectations. Soup was a stand out as was Ravoli della Nonna and the prosciutto pizza. Outdoor patio was fine on a chilly night thanks to heaters and beat the volume and chaos of the inside environment for this Middle Aged diner. Shout out to Justice for excellent service.

Google
The service was amazing!! Pizzas as the appetizer for large party is the way to go! The lobster ravioli holy cow

Google
Casaro Osteria is spectacular. Phenomenal pasta and pizza, perfect portions, delicious desserts, beautiful atmosphere, great staff. Tutto é buono, I promise no one is going home disappointed, it’s a great spot for any occasion. Grazie per tutti i consigli, Giacomo!

Google
Casado Osteria is such a great spot in San Francisco. There was a bit of a wait, but honestly, it was totally worth it. The cocktails are excellent and come in super original glasses — such a cool touch! The truffle pasta was absolutely delicious, and the arancini were just as amazing. Everything we tried was full of flavor and really well made. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but for the quality, it’s more than fair. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great Italian meal in SF. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
Amazing food, terrible service. We dined on May 28 around 4:30 pm, seated in the main dining room right in front of the bar. The table wobbled significantly, and this was never addressed—first strike. The restaurant door was open; it was windy and chilly outside, so we and other patrons had to keep our jackets on. Second strike. Our server was very friendly but quite absent; when he was in the dining area, he was often facing away or inattentive. We ordered a chopped salad and arancini as starters—very delicious and served promptly. I also had a glass of Pecorino. When we finished our starters, the plates remained on the table for almost 20 minutes. The main courses sat on the counter for almost 10 minutes, and the server seemed too busy to deliver them (there was only one new table outside). Water glasses were empty, and my wine glass was empty as well. The food was finally served, not warm enough at that point (after sitting on the counter plus the open door), and it took them until we finished eating to refill our water glasses and ask if I wanted another glass of wine. Too late for that. We were never asked about the food, the experience, or anything, giving me no opportunity to provide feedback. I don't know how many strikes at this point… I haven't had an experience like this in so long. It's a shame for such good food to be presented with such bad service. I don't recommend it. Mind you $125 for 2.

Yelp
My go-to spot lately when I'm in the marina! Lovely ambiance, service, cocktails-- and the food? Divine!

Yelp
I've had my eye on this place for awhile and finally tried it for a weekday lunch. The food was a mixed bag for me. The arancini were delightful - crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside and oh so flavorful. I'm also happy they were offered at happy hour pricing. My only wish is that they were served hotter. My main dish - the arugula and strawberry salad - was a big disappointment though. The arugula flavor canceled out any strawberry flavor (and the strawberries were not flavorful to begin with) and there is no dressing other than olive oil. So just be prepared for a salad that tastes like arugula and Parmesan for $19. I came hungry, and usually everything tastes great when you're hungry. Not this time. And I'm still leaving with room for a snack. The service didn't make up for the food either; it was passable, and there is so much more to hospitality than logistics. I was also the only one there at the time. Meanwhile, Wildseed just a few doors down was packed. Glad I checked this off my list, but I won't be returning.

Yelp
Came here a few months ago and the food was really good and the plating is super cute. I recommended this spot to my friends to try for our girls night, however, the service was extremely inconsistent and unhelpful. We made a reservation for 10pm but the restaurant called us to inform us the kitchen closes at 10:30. The restaurant agreed to seat us for our reservation made. We called our Waymo to head to the restaurant around 9:30 but the restaurant called us again to let us know their kitchen actually closes at 10pm. After some back and forth, we let them know to cancel our reservation due to difficulties. Really disappointing experience with the service, especially since I hyped up this restaurant for their food. We ended up heading to Roma Antica instead which is hands down best pasta spot in SF.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this spot for so long ever since the gorgeous plates caught my eye. The dishes were even more beautiful in person. Overall the food was pretty good but not the best Italian i've had in the city, but service was outstanding! We wanted to get a bottle of wine to share for the table and they let us try multiple options before deciding on one. We came as a big group and they accommodated us easily. I tried the four cheese gnocchi, the ziti, and the diavola pizza. The ziti was a bit under seasoned but I liked the tender meat and al dente pasta. The diavola crust was great but a little too salty for me. The gnocchi had good texture but it's quite heavy so definitely a dish to share! Inside vibes are very cute and I appreciated the free bread as well.

Holly Anne A.

Yelp
We got charged an additional 5% on top of our bill. We asked for the reason and they said it was because it's expense to run a business in the marina. As a business owner in the marina that runs a small business, I thought this was pretty ridiculous since prices on the menu were higher than other Italian restaurants. The brussel sprouts were burnt- I know this because I ordered it before. Pretty disappointed.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our first visit to this Marina restaurant! We stopped to have Saturday lunch after passing by their pretty outdoor patio (offered by shaded and full sun options) with the prettiest, brightly dinnerware that brought us back to the Mediterranean. We ordered based on recommendations by the server - Pear Gorgonzola salad, meatballs and cacio e pepe pasta. We loved the salad, all the ingredients worked really well together. Meatballs were also good and sizable. We didn't love the pasta - it was a bit dry so we will try a different item in the future. We also ordered a beer that never arrived and the server didn't notice so it was still on the bill but they corrected it upon informing them. Overall a good experience and we would return to try other items. The restaurant is decorated very nice and the large, dog friendly outdoor patio is a big plus for us!

Yelp
We visited Casaro Osteria at an off time between lunch and dinner, which I think is the way to go! We got seated right away, but by the time we were wrapping up our meal around 5PM, the restaurant was packed. They had some outdoor seating in the front, but that was full, so we were seated indoors. The interior was nicely decorated with a wall of vintage Italian posters, a good-looking bar, and lots of plants. I also loved their colorful, floral tableware! For N/A drinks, they had both mocktails (which were really pricy) and wine, so I got a glass of N/A Sauvignon Blanc. This exceeded my expectations - so crisp and similar to the real thing! For food, my friend and I ordered the Parmigiana Pizza and Gnocchi Quattro Formaggi to share. Both items were good, but the Parmigiana Pizza was our favorite! The tomato sauce, eggplant, and shaved parmesan went so well together, and the burrata on top was so decadent. The only downside was the floppiness of the slices, which is always the case with Neapolitan-style Pizza. The Gnocchi Quattro Formaggi was super rich and filling. This dish was basically Mac & Cheese, but with Gnocchi. I'm glad we ordered it to share! My friends also enjoyed their food, including the Grilled Cauliflower and Mafaldine Ragu Napoletano. Service was fast and friendly, and our server even brought over little complimentary cups of lemon Sorbetto after our meal. Overall, pretty good!

Yelp
Absolutely horrendous experience. The waiter seemed already annoyed by us and was not listening to what we were saying. I asked for the check they said yes absolutely and then immediately went to their coworker to chat. I asked again and it wasn't until my white male friend asked that we got the bill. If you're not a white person I would not recommend this place. Also it looks like they delete bad reviews I saw one earlier and now it's gone
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
The food never misses the mark in flavor 10/10! The mushroom pasta was my favorite and so is the cacio e Pepe also super flavorful and large portion. The pizza was very light even with all meats you see. The drinks here the espressos are key! Definitely top 3 of pasta place on my list to go to

Yelp
This is such a wonderful date-night location; the service was great, the aesthetic homey yet elegant, and the meal yummy. The Caesar Salad, although it sounded promising with the anchovies and hard boiled eggs, was not my favorite though... it just fell flat in terms of flavor. And although the menu said it was comprised of little-gem lettuce, the lettuce in the salad did not match the compact crunchy-yet-tender leaves that I picture in my mind when I think of little-gem. The Ziti Genovese Pasta took the cake. So delicious. The 6 hour slow cooked white onions and short ribs, along with a generous dusting of pecorino, were incredible. I was also a fan of the very firm (aldente) texture of the pasta, it really added to the dish. The Prosciutto Pizza was so good, and somehow the more I ate, the better it got. The simple yet complex flavors of the tomato sauce, mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto crudo, shaved parmesan, and extra-virgin olive oil shone through and made it a joy to eat.

Yelp
We were seated at the front near the window that faces towards the street. That table does not have actual seats but more like futons. It was hard to be comfortable in that seating. I ordered the gnocchi but I didn't like it. It was very dense. The drinks and the desserts were great. We also ordered a pizza which was good too. The server was alright but did not have good eye contact when speaking to us. Not much diversity among the customers inside the restaurant. The restaurant itself is very nice on the inside and the plates are very cute.

Yelp
Fabulous! I went here on a Monday with a friend and we sat in the little table in the window and watched the city walk by. It was so lovely and felt like we were truly in the heart of the city and the restaurant. Our server was LOVELY! She was so sweet and on top of things, I almost wanted to ask her to pull up a chair and join us. I got a Chianti to drink and was very impressed with their wine list. So many amazing options. For my meal, I got the gluten free penne alla vodka and it was amazing. The cheese on top, the texture, the flavor of the sauce, all wonderful. I also loved how they served things on cute Italian style plates. It was all just a magical experience and felt so elevated and special, even for a quick bite to eat on a Monday night.

Esaul D.

Yelp
Charged $17 for mini sorbet which we did not ask for. I assumed it was free as mentioned in some of the reviews here but I guess not
google avatar

Sandra R.

Yelp
Came on a Monday afternoon. Had their happy hour menu! (We had to ask for it they didn't just give it to us which was weird) but we got their pesto pasta which was perfectly cooked a dente. We also got their Margherita pizza which was simply delicious! Arancini was also unique and delicious. Got their guava rose drink and recommend that as well. Everything was clearly very tasty!! Really cute decor and outdoor patio that made you transport to Europe. Would love to come again!!

Yelp
I came here on a Thursday night around 6:45pm for dinner. We didn't have a reservation and were seated immediately! Our server was so nice! He informed us he was new but was great about double checking information for us. Their ziti was amazing! The noodles were different than I originally expected but it was definitely a pleasant surprise. The only thing that threw me off was that I felt like half of my Manhattan was missing lol! It made me not want to spend more money on another half drink. That being said, my friend's drinks looked delicious and normal so could've been a one time thing. This is def a great spot for dates! I saw so many couples out here
google avatar

Erika U.

Yelp
Food was fresh, made well. No issues with that. Flavor was ok, pasta al dente for sure. The service was ok- they forgot drinks, items were made wrong. Not fun to deal with that. But servers were friendly and keeping water cups full. Made a reservation for a weeknight because it was a good meeting location for our group coming from different areas. Unfortunately we were sat in the back near a large party with about 5-6 kids and 5 adults who were allowing the kids to run in and out of the restaurant the whole time. It was not a peaceful dinner whatsoever. Not sure I'd go back just yet.
google avatar

Anissa B.

Yelp
Had an absolutely lovely dinner where we got to sit at a nook beside the window which let the sunlight in. The restaurant is also beautifully decorated and has a cute outdoor patio for sunny days. Service was quick and the servers were wonderful- and they even gave us complimentary mini flavored ice at the end of the meal! Ordered the calamari, mushroom pizza, and vodka pasta which were all delicious. Definitely recommend for a date night or even a fun weekday dinner

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch and I'm glad we did. The food was great and the Service was excellent. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Pasta was delicious and the complimentary dessert was a nice treat.

Yelp
Luckily got to eat here on a beautiful day in SF. Got the margherita pizza and a pasta dish and it was delicious. The restaurant has outdoor seating and the service is fabulous. Our server recommended the pasta dish and he was right. Fresh ingredients with the perfect flavor. A must eat establishment.
google avatar

Carol S.

Yelp
The food was amazing, but the service left much to be desired. If the service had been better, I would have given five stars. We arrived around 4 pm and found the host area empty. A man at the bar noticed us but didn't offer any help--I had to ask if we were supposed to choose our own table. He informed us that we needed to wait. Eventually, an Italian gentleman escorted us to our table; he was friendly, but it took over 15 minutes after seated before a server came to take our order. After ordering, no one checked on us or refilled our water, and the food took a long time to arrive. While the food was excellent, the overall service felt lacking, almost as if we were inconveniencing them by dining there. It's especially disappointing considering the beautiful ambiance and delicious cuisine. I hope future customers have a better experience with the service. We ordered: Brussel sprouts for appetizer (fantastic!) Main course, gnocchi was my favorite
google avatar

Christiane F.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for a while and happy I did! The inside is gorgeous and the service was amazing, the servers were great! The diavola pizza was delicious 10/10, the Chitarra was also great but wish it was more flavorful. Overall great experience and would 100% return!
google avatar

Thuy Dan T.

Yelp
Went here with a large group and we had the best time. Right off the bat the platware and drinkware were so beautiful, elevating the presentation of each dish and I am definitely an eat with my eyes person when I'm looking up for photos so of course I over-ordered for the group. Here's what I would order again: + Chitarra Cacio e Pepe al Tartufo - so delicious, we ended up ordering a second. Creamy, perfect saltiness, and the parmesan crisp was so good + Mafaldine Ragu Napoletano - also so good, we ordered a second + Tagliata di Manzo - a perf medium rare and I loved the creaminess of the parmesan + Frittura Mista - nice breading on the calamari and the sauce was tasty! + Cannoli - that ricotta cream with crushed pistachios!!! Honorable mentions: + Kumamoto Oyster + Grilled Cauliflower The cocktails were tasty, not super strong and the lemon drops were tart and sweet, just what you'd expect. Overall would recommend for a group dinner with generous portions and just overall delicious Italian food.

Yelp
In a city filled with lots of amazing Italian options, Casaro Osteria is my favorite. The salads are vibrant and the pizza is just so crispy and pillowy. Food is really nicely seasoned. Vibe is warm and inviting and service always friendly and fast. And you can window shop as you digest on Union.
google avatar

Dana L.

Yelp
Came here with a work colleague for dinner on a Monday night. The service was great, the waitress recommended 2 apps; the Brussels sprouts (yum, they were fried w a nice balsamic glaze) and the Aracini balls (which are my fav, my I thought were only ok, they could have been warmer). For dinner we had the chop salad, which was great and she recommended 2 pizzas, the Diavola and the Burrata and Copa, we went with the Burrata and Copa, which was really tasty! Although I do like my pizza crust slightly crispier, it was still really good.I had a mock tail mojito and my friend had a couple of good cocktails-which he said were both great! We didn't have any room for desserts, but they do give you a shot of lemon cello sorbet, which was a nice palate cleanser.
google avatar

Zoe C.

Yelp
My Italian grandmother approves! The place had great upscale vibes, attentive service, and every pasta we ordered was so well done. We loved the meatballs and the risotto balls as appetizers. Will come back soon!
google avatar

Ada B.

Yelp
The food was so good and our waiter was lovely! The cups the drinks come in were a definite highlight for us! We were able to sit in the back room which we enjoyed!!!

Yelp
Had this spot bookmarked because of their White Lotus inspired cocktails, so when it was suggested as a team lunch spot I was super excited to go! It wasn't as good as I was expecting/hoping it would be, but it wasn't bad either. It had a cool vibe and the food and drinks were all super instagramable, the dishes could've just used a bit more flavor. Four of us were dinning and we decided to go family style so that we could try out more of the menu. We started with the Arancini, then ordered two pizzas and two pastas for the mains. For pizza we went with the Broccoli & salsiccia and the Bufalina. Both pizzas were a little soggier than expected, I know this style of pizza tends to be on the softer side, but I expected it to hold up a little better than it did. The Bufalina was the winner for me, especially once topped with some of the chili oil and parm they offered on the side. For pastas we ordered the Pappardelle and Tagliatelle Bolognese. The noodles in both dishes were cooked just to my liking, slightly al dente, but not too al dente. Once salt was added to each dish, they were quite good, but without the added salt they were a little bland. Cocktails were on the expensive side, with some of them going for $18-$19, but I was expecting that due to the neighborhood and the hype around them and White Lotus. I wasn't too impressed with my cocktail as it was a bit sweeter than I tend to like, would definitely stick to a glass of wine next time, which all seemed reasonably priced for the Bay.
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Perfection. From the cocktails, food and impeccable service. Loved it and can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
Made reservations prior to coming in. Ordered a bunch of cocktails (mostly delicious) Food was amazing Ambiance could be loud and casual Service was great

Yelp
I walked into Casaro Osteria on a weekday night and was promptly seated at the bar. I was starving and luckily the service was pretty fast. I ordered the Margherita pizza and the Cacio E Pepe. Both were delicious and we ate every single bite.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
Visited here at my daughter's recommendation. Very fun and hip restaurant in Cow Hallow district. We tried the Burrata appetizer, Tagliata di Manzo Ribeye and Mafaldine ragu Napoletano. All were excellent and I highly recommend them. The Napoletano was delicious and we will definitely return to try other pasta dishes.
google avatar

Andres N.

Yelp
Had a solid dinner here in their parklet. Stopped by with no reservations and seemed like we got lucky cause it gets pretty busy. We started with the arancini wich was a bit dry and underwhelming. It didn't come with a sauce which would have helped. However, the pasta is where this spot really shines. The mushroom pasta was creamy and pretty exceptional. The ragu with calabrian was also really well prepared and saucy. Could have been spicier. It is a bit pricey but it's a nice spot. I love their dishware it made the experience memorable.
google avatar

Kelly R.

Yelp
Great date night spot! Portions are pretty big so recommend ordering a couple things for the table and splitting/family style. We ordered the tagliatelle, ziti and ragu. All the pasta was extremely fresh and delicate and the sauce was flavorful. Great service and a fun happy hour from 12-4 during the week!
google avatar

Wendy D.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant, the decor was colorful and vibrant. Stopped by for lunch with friends. Service was good. I ordered the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese The pasta was cooked perfectly although the sauce was slightly bland, nothing a little parm can't fix! The octopus was cooked perfectly & flavorful.
google avatar

Marcus R.

Yelp
We had a lovely evening at Casaro Osteria. The vibe was vibrant yet cozy, perfect for a relaxed night out. Our meal started with the Frittura and Burrata & Coppa which were both beautifully presented and flavorful. The burrata was creamy and fresh, pairing well with the salty coppa. Our drinks were guava rush. For mains, we shared the Tagliatelle Bolognese and Chitarra Cacio & Pepe. The pasta was clearly fresh and cooked al dente. The Bolognese was hearty and rich, though the Cacio & Pepe could have used a touch more peppery kick. The Tagliata di Manzo Ribeye was a standout because it was tender, juicy, and cooked to a perfect medium-rare. Cocktails and wine were well balanced, the Andiamo and Mamma Mia had a refreshing twist, and the Pinot Grigio Torresella paired nicely with our starters. We ended on a sweet note with Mini Sorbetti, which were refreshing and a great palate cleanser. Overall, the food was delicious, service was attentive, and the atmosphere inviting. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is a couple of minor flavor imbalances, but we'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Audrey L.

Yelp
Delicious pizza! If you like spice, get the Diavola pizza. Fun vibe and prompt service. 10/10!
google avatar

Sang Yoon K.

Yelp
Drunkedly stumbled upon this place. Drinks and food were A1. Oysters were fresh and pizza was good. Definitely get their cocktails as well.
google avatar

Tash B.

Yelp
Heard great things and was not disappointed! Unfortunately the lighting wasn't great so pictures are not on par with my usual, but flavor wise everything was fantastic. We started with the asparagus - not too oily or salty great balance of flavor. Diavola pizza with burrata hit the spot- and the mushroom parpadelle perfectly balanced all the meat on the pizza. My only complaint is that both mains were served cold despite facing the expeditor window :( I was surprised to see this was a family friendly hot spot for its location. Decor is very cute - thing Tuscan ceramicware, and staff was very accommodating. Will return!
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Definitely a restaurant worth revisiting!I started with a Burrata, exquisite, smooth, and fresh! What I liked most is that they serve it with a very unique and delicious antipasto, not your typical burrata with arugula and tomatoes... (lol) I also ordered the cauliflower, and the big portion impressed me, with its texture and flavor. An excellent combination. For the main course, I had the octopus, also an exquisite truffle pasta. The octopus is impressive; the portion is much larger than in other restaurants. Here, it's served with mashed potatoes and broccolini ¡amazing! 10/10 The service is really good; the servers are attentive, kind , and very helpful. 10/10 The ambiance is beautiful! The place is very fresh and colorful; I definitely had a pleasant and enjoyable time. Thank you Casaro Osteria Team!

Yelp
This is a solid Italian spot on Union Street! They do not do reservations, so we got on the waitlist via Yelp. Once we checked in with the host we waited by the bar and had a drink. The Marina Girl is deliciously fruity and not overly sweet! My favorite dishes: Caesar Salad -- well dressed and heavy on the anchovies (we had the egg on the side) Chitarra Cacio e Pepe al Tartufo -- creamy and rich. I could smell the truffle once it was set on the table. Pappardelle -- also quite rich. Heavy on the mushroom which I loved. Some of the meats like the Polpette and in the Bolognese were a bit dense and not as moist as I'd have liked. I would also pass on the Arancini as it was a bit too small and few. An aside: while the salt and pepper shakers are adorable, they are barely functional and don't sprinkle the spices well. All of the staff, including our waiter, were friendly, observant, and attentive. Great service! Casaro Oosteria was a wonderful choice for our group of five to try an array of dishes and enjoy a filling meal together.

Yelp
Charming Italian bistro on Union Street with an inviting indoor and outdoor space to eat!
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
You can almost imagine yourself in Italy while sitting outside at this nice atmospheric restaurant on Union Street. I really enjoyed the pasta which I think was beef short rib bucatini. I couldn't find it on the menu while writing this review for Yelp, so maybe it was a special offering. Hopefully it is on the normal menu though because I would definitely go back for just this dish alone. They gave us a nice little palette cleanser of possibly lemon sherbet with our check which was a very nice touch!
google avatar

Meg G.

Yelp
everything we ate was incredible - the ingredients were clearly high quality and the dishes were so beautifully plated! we were lucky to go on a sunny afternoon and sitting in the front patio was gorgeous! the service was definitely a bit scattered though, maybe because it was the weekend
google avatar

Heidi L.

Yelp
This place is such a great Italian spot in the marina. The pasta is delicious and so flavorful. I got the short rib pasta and the meat was very tender and juicy!
google avatar

Andy P.

Yelp
The food was delicious, the portion size is ideal for when you're hungry but don't want to feel stuffed. One thing that I pay attention to when visiting a new place is the service. I really was thankful for the service and how quick and attentive they were. It makes a difference. The ambiance was groovy lol my friend and I are fans of 80's music and they were playing some good hits so we were loving it and didn't want to leave. Overall recommend this place if in the marina and craving some GOOD Italian cuisine.
google avatar

Braeden H.

Yelp
Came here with some friends and got to try the steak as well as the cacio e pepe. The steak was unfortunately a bit disappointing. It ends up being salad adjacent given the mashed potatoes stick everything to the steak slices. However, the cacio e pepe is easily one of the best pastas I have ever had. Definitely worth coming just to try it. The servers are great and both the inside and outside areas are very nice. I will certainly be back.

Yelp
Good food, cute spot, service has room for improvement Came here with a group of 5 for Saturday lunch. There were quite a few tables open but still a decent amount of people dining. They initially tried to seat us at a table meant for 4. After watching all 5 of us try to pile in, they realized we wouldn't fit and moved us to a different table. Our food came piping hot and in huge portions. Everything was tasty and we really had no complaints about the food. I would come back for some of the pastas alone. However, when we asked for the bill, it came, we put a card down, and spent the next 20 minutes trying to flag someone down to take it from us. Some folks would come by to clear our dishes and we let them know we were ready to pay and they said they would send our server over, but we were waiting for quite a while. I don't blame the staff at all, it seems like there was only one server who had to handle all the bills. With the food this good, I hope they're able to bring at least one more server on. This place would easily be 5 stars in my book with a few service improvements!

Yelp
I'm absolutely still dreaming about Casaro Osteria's Cacio e Pepe!!!!!!! My mouth is watering as I type this because it was THAT magical....the atmosphere and vibes were 10/10. We didn't have the chance to make reservations but still got seated promptly for a Saturday night which hello, love! Drinks were also freaking fresh and amazing! Me and my date also had the grilled cauliflower which was a delicious starter. I am counting the days, minutes, seconds, until I can go back and enjoy a meal here again. If you love authentic Italian, you must try!!

Yelp
Not quite sure the hype and 4.5 stars. We came here on a rainy Saturday night and sat in the back part of the restaurant. I guess I would have preferred the front of the restaurant to watch the pizza oven and the open kitchen. Someone on Yelp recommended the fried artichoke, but it was a big show of a presentation (also not freshly fried), mostly cold and 60% of it was inedible-- way to stringy and un-chewable. We also got the chopped salad - which we really did like -- and MAN, that salad could feed 2 as an entree. Perfectly dressed and lots of cheese and salami. For our entree, we got the special of the day, lasagna, it was good, but nothing special. lots and lots of sauce on the plate. Service was fine, but nothing extra.
