Yelp
Long overdue review for a fantastic bar and lounge. With its recent improvements, I think Sahara has gone from "Tropicana/past its prime" status to a hidden gem, and Casbar is no exception.
Environment in and around the lounge is exactly what you want from a hotel bar, somewhere sleek to socialize in the middle of the action.
The big draw for us has been Casbar's specialty drinks of the month. Three new cocktails are introduced each month at a very reasonable for Vegas $13, or half-price during their daily happy hours (3-5pm and 8-9pm). These drinks can be a bit more experimental and don't always land, but they are always fun to try. The latter happy hour has been especially kind to us as we've often managed to find ourselves in the area post-dinner or pre-night out.
And of course, you can't have great drinks without amazing bartenders, and the crew here has been the best. Peter is a great mixologist, friendly and easygoing to talk to as we went from tourists to "those guys, again." We were coming so often before we moved that when we told him we were moving to Vegas, he said, "I thought you already lived here!" Well, it's 8 o'clock somewhere...
On my last visit, I connected with a new friend and we sat at the bar for hours after ordering our last couple drinks. We should have opened the seats but they never eased us out, just kept the water coming and let us stay talking and bonding. Really appreciate the consideration that is not easy to find along the Strip.
Thanks Peter, thanks team, go enjoy Casbar while it's still got this vibe!
