New 24-hour Casbar Lounge at SLS features fireplaces | Eater Vegas

"The newest lounge on the Strip at SLS Las Vegas offers 24-hour service just off the casino floor, pairing sexy art with a desert-sunset palette of golds, oranges, and purples. Two dual-sided fireplaces act as focal points amid smaller nooks designed for intimate gatherings, and the cocktail program features distinctive signatures such as The Vespear (Bombay Sapphire gin, Grey Goose La Poire vodka, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, and Angostura bitters), the tropical Bombshell Botanga (Herradura Reposada tequila, real pineapple purée, lime juice, and Pepsi), and the Deer Bobby (Glenfiddich 14-year Scotch, Giffard Banane Du Bresil, Lustau Oloroso sherry, and Angostura bitters)." - Susan Stapleton

Google
Not a bad space. I was looking for a comfortable spot to smoke a cigar and enjoy something simple to sip on. CASBAR just about fit the bill. Music is a little loud, but it's comfortable and allowed smoking. They had enough of a selection to find something good to sip on. They even had a stack of cigar ash trays, which was nice.

A relaxed atmosphere to vibe. The drinks are made to perfection. Comfortable chairs and couches. Full bar and live music on some days. Highly recommend for a lounge on the strip.

Daily Happy Hour 3pm-5pm + 8pm-9pm with 50% wells, BOGO beers, $5 shots. We visited Casbar right before Balla Italian Soul for happy hour hoping in the Sahara Hotel. Beautiful lounge design!! Ask for Bartender Han!! He'll elevate your happy hour! He's not there all the time. Plan B: Ask for Ryan who's been there for 10+ years!! Staff made our happy hour fun. We were able to get a well's drink with a twist (tip EXTRA!). We'd love to be back only if Han or Ryan are working this bar. CASBAR Lounge Free Live Music – Saturdays 7pm – 11pm. Open 247. Daily 3pm – 5pm + 8pm – 9pm with 50% Off Wells, Buy-One-Get-One Free Beers, $5 Select Shots. Beer specials $8 for Corona Extra, Modelo Especial. $5 Popcorn. Ask for Han or Randy. They're amazing bartenders!! Balla's Daily Happy Hour 5pm – 6pm + 9pm – 10pm. Drinks and food at the bar. Walk-in only. Free parking. They close at 10pm too though. $10 wine, spritz, dearly choice drink. $5 crackers, $8 meatballs, $10 stuffed mushrooms, $15 pizza, spaghetti, prosciutto figs. Ask for Pedro there!

Google
There was a female bartender that denied me and my lady drinks after showing valid ID. I am disgusted , hurt emotionally and I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. And I will tell everyone else not to come either. Extremely embarrassing. I spent hard earned money at the hotel to be treated that way.

Yelp
The Casbar inside of the historic Sahara hotel & casino is newly renovated and super slept on! It does get busy nights and weekends but I don't think this place gets enough recognition! The spirit selection, craft cocktails and the overall atmosphere is elite. It gives off classy, fun and modern. They also have some really nice fireplace lounges which don't require reservations, and they make for great photos. The bartenders and apprentices here are all amazing. I highly recommend checking the Casbar out if you are looking for a new place to drink, that has the perfect mix of luxury and casual.

Yelp
I went to this bar after someone gave me 2 for 1 coupons. That is why you see two Guinea's bottles in the photo. The atmosphere was relaxing, the piano players were excellent, and the bartenders were cordial and professional. I did not eat any food there but the cocktails were properly made and served.

Yelp
Amazing cocktail experience. Stopped by on our way through the casino at the end of the night. Service was great, the cocktails were great, and the ambiance is super cool!

Yelp
They have a Dj majority of the time. Our bartender Dustin did an amazing job on our drinks and today was his birthday! Happy hour 3-5 and 8-9

Yelp
I can't believe I am sharing this, because the deal is just too great while it may last. Went for happy hour cocktails that were half price..that made the choices 7 dollars for a craft cocktail and a buy one get on e beer special that is 7 or 8 dollars depending on if you pick domestic beer or import beer...this is a steal on the strip..... THEN.....add the ambiance with fire features, comfortable and beautiful furniture with music that is not too loud to enjoy such cocktail! Hub got Lemonade mule and I got Tropical Mai Tai....these are not weak drinks. We came back at 8 pm, needless to say.....great place!

Yelp
I love this lounge!! It's so chill and perfect for locals since the parking is free at the Sahara. I've never been to the Sahara but I'll be going a lot more from now on. The drinks were strong and moderately priced for being on the strip. Actually really cheap for cocktails on the strip lol The cocktail servers working are super sweet too :)

Yelp
Overall: 3.3/5 (dine in) We were really excited to try CASBAR Lounge since it looked like an upscale bar and had a DJ for entertainment when we went Thursday night. We got a table further away from the bar but our waitress was attentive. I got a Butterfly Gimlet ($16) which wasn't tasty or sweet at all. It came with Hendrick's gin instead of Empress Gin so maybe that made a difference. My husband wanted to try the Montecristo cigar Las Vegas edition but they didn't have it. He asked for the Romeo Y Julieta but they didn't have that as well. They only had a Sahara brand one, and he just went with it. When he got the cigar, he used the scissors to cut it because they didn't have a cutter. It took him 5 tries to light the cigar, only to have it taste stale. The waitress was nice enough to just cancel the order on our receipt.

Yelp
Great service and drinks tasted good! There weren't a lot of people during the day which was nice.

Yelp
We came on Thanksgiving night and we had a great time. The Dj was playing 2000s music so he had was singing along with each song that played. The service was a little to begin with but once we were helped they came around often to make sure we were okay. I ordered an espresso martini which I would give 7.5/10 and my husband had a blueberry mai tai which he said was 8/10. Prices were pretty decent for a lounge and being in Vegas. If we're ever in the area we'd come back.

Yelp
CASBAR Lounge is located in a casino called Sahara. This was my first time going to Sahara but our friends were able to get seats for the large party during Super Bowl. The prices for drinks by bottle seemed pretty pricey it was $800.00 for a Macallan. Which we ordered and also a ton of beers. The thing was that the servers had no help they were very understaffed for how many people were here. It was packed and we had to wait for a long time for many things which was a little bit sad. They teamed up with a restaurant for that day but it took us almost an hour and a half to get our food. That was just overall too long. This was not the server's fault but mainly the restaurant's fault. If you do get the bottle you should ask them for the square ice cubes because they will just serve it with regular ice. Makes no sense if you are going to charge so much!

Yelp
Casbar is my kind of bar... Lounge Roaring modern meets vintage decor not to mention fireplaces, wooden paneling in the far left den and seating for days... Couches, Benches and Loungers that would put World Market to shame with the comfort and quality... O.O We strolled over after breakfast... well brunch because it was close to 2:15 by the time we left... Nothing like sleeping in in Vegas on Christmas day. While happy hour isn't required we did want to enjoy all the charm of Casbar and spent a small period of time playing the slots. When the magic hour was upon us... 3pm... We strolled up to half off drinks from 3 to 5 pm and/or 8 to 9 pm (we came back again later... Lol live your best lush life. Open all day and night... Even more deals during game days (often) via buckets and beer specials (buy one get one)... It's easy to see why Casbar will get you far in your Las Vegas and Sahara experience. They offer exceptional service whether at their long rectangular bar or lounging about wherever you'd like... just feel out the aesthetic and let it choose you. You can still hear and enjoy the game even if not in view with their amazing PA system and brilliant reflective services. We caught a lot of the game through the fireplace, which was pretty neat. C. Lounge also has live music at night which was a true treat... very PostModern Jukebox style of some popular covers. The had amazing seasonal drinks me, my sister and mother all enjoyed. The Mistletoe Mule being my absolute favorite with hibiscus ginger beer, lime juice, cranberry puree and handmade vodka by Tito's... not to mention that garnish!!! Santa's Step Stool definitely packs a kick, but I'd also recommend my sister's drink choice the Merry-Time Paloma. The also do $5 shots...as well as a few small bites and eats. You might notice Tangier and other bars or restaurants at the Sahara have similar drinks, but Casbar is definitely topline for all your beverage needs. I can't say enough great things about Casbar! Yes they have table service as well... though I did notice it was fastest at night and after the game(s).

Yelp
This review is complicated so bare with me. Came in on a Sunday morning to watch football. Had a couple of drinks. The bartender was amazing. Great service and a nice vibe. Left after my game was over. No issues whatsoever. Came back the later that Sunday night to ring in the new year. It was busy but at least they had 3 bartenders. The drinks were flowing and the dj was playing good music. At first we were ordering from a waitress but that was taking a long time. I decided to order at the bar. I understood it was new years night and it was busy. I waited patiently for about 20 minutes. Finally one of the male bartender asked what I would like and took my order. After 20 more minutes I received nothing. So I made eye contact with the second male bartender and he completely ignored me. At this point I'm fuming and ready to go. That's when the female bartender walked towards but literally bypassed me to help someone who had just walked up to the bar. Once she served him she had no choice but to help me out. At that point I told her how unprofessional she was by helping someone else who just walked up while I had been there almost an hour. Told her I would try my luck with the other bartenders and with a snarky remark she said good luck. She must have relayed the message to the others because I got no service. They ruined my night. What a horrible experience. Me and my group left soon after. Sorry but all 3 bartenders should be fired immediately. What an insult to real bartenders.Rude and disrespectful. I will never go back. Unless you want to be treated like crap stay away from casbar lounge.

Yelp
Long overdue review for a fantastic bar and lounge. With its recent improvements, I think Sahara has gone from "Tropicana/past its prime" status to a hidden gem, and Casbar is no exception. Environment in and around the lounge is exactly what you want from a hotel bar, somewhere sleek to socialize in the middle of the action. The big draw for us has been Casbar's specialty drinks of the month. Three new cocktails are introduced each month at a very reasonable for Vegas $13, or half-price during their daily happy hours (3-5pm and 8-9pm). These drinks can be a bit more experimental and don't always land, but they are always fun to try. The latter happy hour has been especially kind to us as we've often managed to find ourselves in the area post-dinner or pre-night out. And of course, you can't have great drinks without amazing bartenders, and the crew here has been the best. Peter is a great mixologist, friendly and easygoing to talk to as we went from tourists to "those guys, again." We were coming so often before we moved that when we told him we were moving to Vegas, he said, "I thought you already lived here!" Well, it's 8 o'clock somewhere... On my last visit, I connected with a new friend and we sat at the bar for hours after ordering our last couple drinks. We should have opened the seats but they never eased us out, just kept the water coming and let us stay talking and bonding. Really appreciate the consideration that is not easy to find along the Strip. Thanks Peter, thanks team, go enjoy Casbar while it's still got this vibe!

Yelp
Basic Casino Bar. Had to flag somebody down after 10 minutes in a half empty bar. Took another 10 minutes to get the drink because bartender was chatting with friends. Drink was solid but in a plastic cup and expensive. Music loud and random club music. Left 10 minutes later. First time to the Sahara, might be my last.

Yelp
Very nice place for a drink. Located in the Sahara Casino. Beautiful location with relaxing ambience. Service is excellent. Drinks are very good with a wide selection and they offer 2 great happy hours every day.

Yelp
I'm kind of torn with my rating for Casbar. It's has a lot of pros: -It's lovely -Open 24 hours -Great selection of Happy Hour specials -2 Happy Hours per day, every day -Decent prices -The best drink on the Strip...the Blueberry Lemonade Mai Tai However one thing turned me off: -Uninformed Bartender When visiting the Casbar during my last visit, the lady bartender told be that Happy Hour was not being offered that day (Sunday). I agreed to pay full price for my drink. However on my walk back to my room, I saw the advertisement that read HH is offered every day. I complained to the concierge and I was told that a manager from Hospitality would contact me, but that never happened. Could it be because I ordered by drink 10 minutes prior to the end of HH? I am bummed about the principle of the matter. Staff should be aware of Casino policy. Nevertheless, if you are in LV and want to skip all of the pretentious tourists, Casbar may be your ideal spot.

Yelp
If you ever stay at the Sahara...or just find yourself needing a drink on the North end of the strip, the Casbar Lounge is the spot. They have signature drinks for a stellar happy hour and each drink is specifically crafted with premium liquor. The service is always on point and the big, giant Sahara ice cubes are SO COOL! Hit this spot at happy hour for the best value.

Yelp
Man oh man....I'm conflicted about this whole experience. This conflict is only because i remember the old Casbar at the original Sahara, this is a modern version. Anyway, this bar & lounge is beautiful, classy, warmly lit and i love seeing my drink in their fancy glassware as it sits on the glowing bar top. The service is prompt, the bar is intimate and quiet. I go here specifically to have a relaxing drink in a nice atmosphere. It's a nod to the former vintage Casbar in a cool, present day setting. Salud!

Yelp
Service was immaculate. Bartender Peter is very friendly & attentive. Always positive, with a great conversation. Always checking up on you & never lets you leave unsatisfied. I love it here & definitely 10/10 recommend visiting casbar in Sahara.

Yelp
Fantastic casino bar in the Sahara Casino. The lounge is a great place to see and be seen. It has a modern, elegant, and sexy vibe. The menu offers a variety of cocktails. A server will come to your table or you can sit at the bar and order from the bartender.
google avatar

Sonya E.

Yelp
Located in Sahara. Huge bar front. Opened all hours of the night. Met a friend to have a few drinks. Plenty of seating. Menu is attached. Bottle service offered as I observed from two tables down from us. Limited servers so service is on the slower side.
google avatar

Apple S.

Yelp
Beautiful lounge in the SLS hotel and casino. It's Beautifully set up. The bar is large but there's plenty of seating space around. Drink prices are normal (although we paid little less for same drink at Sayers club). There's a ramp and stairs. It's a typical mid casino located bar but here it's all in the design, pleasure for the eye.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by here for happy hour. The drinks are quite refreshing and the bartenders are great!

Yelp
We stopped for a quick drink before a show. The bartender was very attentive and the drinks were good. The only downside is there were cigar smokers (I just can't like the smell.)

Yelp
Beautiful lounge located on the casino floor in Sahara. Large bar with with a few gaming machines on one side of it. The seating is comfortable and the service is always wonderful. Happy hour is 3pm-5pm & 8pm--9pm
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
Happy hour at this bar inside the Sahara is 1/2 off some excellent select drinks. The Magic Mike Live grand opening menu was super yummy choices. We watched live music last night and had a great espresso martini. Cute group seating areas and an ample bar. I like that they have some gaming seats and non-gaming seats if you do not feel like gambling.
google avatar

Brett B.

Yelp
Great bar off the casino. Look for the drink specials. I was pleasantly surprised. The bartenders know thier job, that's for sure. Had some great cocktails.

Yelp
Was there at happy hour on a not to busy Friday. Hottest day of year! Anyway had to get drinks from bar. No servers. Bartender was okay. Drinks were good. Nice lounge would go again.

Yelp
Great music adequate service OK prices nice ambience great fun all around One of the bartenders that served me had never seen a dollar coin before? He gave me incorrect change after asking me what it was. He thought it was a quarter.

Yelp
Would be 5 but very in consistent, nice bar staff, spent a week haunting this place, while exploring the strip, found ourselves coming back. Needs better beer. Has weird happy hours hours btw

Yelp
So we had a drink before our dinner and I must say that we had an incredible time, a girl named Joy attended us, who was honestly the star of the night, thank you

Yelp
Cocktails and video poker at Casbar! Great live music as well. Stylish quarters in a chic casino lodging with a rooftop pool & a spa, plus dining & nightclubs.

Yelp
Casbar is one of the coolest lounges in Las Vegas. If you are looking for a great place to meet friends for a drink, you have found it! Want a fancy beverage? No problem, they know how to create very nice cocktails! There are areas to have private conversations or sit in the main lounge to be in the middle of everything that is going on at the fabulous new Sahara. Make sure you say hi to Chris, Ryan and Peter these guys are amazing bar tenders, who work hard and know how to take care of their guests! Bravo Sahara!

Lex M.

Yelp
Mike has been so respectful and responsive to my needs while staying at the sahara. Hands down best bartender in vegas.

Jay S.

Yelp
Great happy hour, and several of the bartenders seemed legit. I'm super into crafted cocktails, and these delivered. The staff was also great, but several time they seemed short-staffed. It made the wait times for drinks longer. Overall, though, I highly recommend the happy hour.

Yelp
Live music on select nights. Happy hour 8pm to 9pm. Nice decor. Great atmosphere. Several place to eat at the casino. Recommended
