Google
The food is absolutely amazing The orders are large, which makes surprising reasonable Restaurant as the whole place is very clean Open 24 hours

Google
The food was fantastic. The portions were very generous. Service was super. The tables were clean. The bathrooms were very nice and stocked. I was very pleased and will be a returning customer. The pricing was great. Highly recommend. I had the country fried steak meal, and had leftovers - fabulous.

Google
Stopped in after an appointment to grab breakfast. It's all a huge truck stop, and this restaurant was part of it. The food was great...I had the French Connection and it was lovely! Bacon, eggs, French toast. Husband had Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs (he chose a pancake) He liked it! Service was great.

Google
Cascade Grill is clean friendly tasty has a miniature museum of the creation of the truckstop and some really nice vintage vehicles inside family friendly Because we spent the night in the hotel room they gave us a breakfast voucher for up to eight dollars off of any menu item or a selection of a free breakfast on their list per person that stayed in the room so our breakfast which would have been quite a bit more was only about $10 because we got a couple of side dishes

Google
Service was top-notch, food was impeccable, food portions are very large, surrounding atmosphere was quiet with very little chatter.

Google
had a great breakfast salmon hash, but dinner fish and chips should be avoided at all costs the fish was cooked in bad oil or over cooked breading dark and oily fish was rubber like instead of flaky fresh cod. the host was very gracious and changed the order. for a club sandwich.

Google
Wow! I found myself alone at dinner in the Cascade Grill. Not knowing that I would have my best burger , fries and peach cooler ala'mode of the year! The staff is so nice, you really feel like they know you, and they keep it spotless. Bottom line, great food, great people and great prices. Don't sleep on this hidden gem.

Google
I usually go with the chicken fried steak and eggs, but because I was in around dinner time, I decided to try the Pondo Burger with onion rings. Was pleased with the food, as always

Yelp
First time thru the doors of cascade grill for a long time. Only this time not alone but accompanied by 3 former coworkers now all retired including myself. I see by my last entry it's been 8 years since my last visit. Only this time I'm feeling good and much better since my last visit as my life is now going great? The food and service are still very good. reasonably priced and quality adequate $$

Yelp
Ended up randomly picking this place with friends. It is in a truck stop shopping center, but don't let that stop you from going. We got cauliflower bites with a spicy tangy sauce for an appetizer. The cauliflower bites were very hot temperature wise and fried to perfection. For my meal, I ordered a half order of nachos. I couldn't believe how big it was. The menu does advertise trucker size portions and this is 100% true. The nachos were very good and the toppings to chip ratio was perfect. Service was friendly, but very slow in the beginning. We never got plates to accompany our appetizer and it took a while for me to get an initial refill on water.

Yelp
The customer service is terrible. They are very rude and like to gave me half my portion of mac and cheese. They didn't give me either of my sides. They don't update their menu so I didn't get either if my clam chowders I ordered & was told they don't have it anymore yet I could still order them.... So now I payed almost 90$ for half of the food I ordered. What a shit place to get food

Yelp
Cute little spot with plenty of space! It's connected to a country based bar that are genuinely packed on weekends. The restaurant has some cool attractions. Friendly staff that's also knowledgeable. Food wise everything was great even down to the lemonade I had to drink only thing I would change is(I asked for extra seasoning on my steak and didn't get it as well as the grill they cooked the steak on need to be brushed as it charred the steak just a little too much for "medium well") but other then that everything was great. Definitely get the pancakes!

Yelp
It's a truck stop. Not that that would make it bad, but maybe don't expect much. I found it on mapquest, so it didn't say it was a truck stop. Service was sort of meh. The waitress obviously didn't like me. Either a lot of waitresses don't like older couples or it's my purple hair. Anyway, while I can overlook being sneered at, I don't like it. My husband ordered fish and chips and I ordered grilled fish. His was just about okay, while mine was terrible. I had ordered mashed potatoes as my potato choice and neither my husband or I could eat them, and they sent out a huge pile of potatoes with gravy. And my husband loves mashed potatoes. All I can assume is that they must have been left over. They had several brown spots and such and they tasted terrible. He tried them and agreed with me that they were just nasty tasting. My fish was okay, but nothing to be excited about. I've had some really good meals at truck stops, but this wasn't one of them. I won't be back.

Yelp
Just love this truck stop. Daily specials are great! I love the staff and and of course dog friendly. My fish was hot and tasted really good. Thank you for providing a great place for truckers to get a hot meal at the end of the day.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered fish and chips. $27.00. Cole slaw was spoiled and rancid. Fries were soggy and cold. Waitress could care less. You would think for the price it would be great

Yelp
Fumbled into this place accidentally - very happy I did - it's a must if you are ever in the area - country style atmosphere - great for the family or alone - you need to try the soup of the day - I tried the tomato bisque which was amazing... I I recommend this place thank you for reading. Enjoy your next meal. Be blessed.

Yelp
Best option for RVs in Portland amazing service and surprisingly delicious food. Next time we are traveling through Portland towing our trailer we are definitely stopping here.

Yelp
Had breakfast at the Cascade Grill and was I disappointed. I ordered the French Connection. The description is as follows: $15.50 Texas style French toast with two eggs any style and choice of bacon, sausage links or bone in ham steak. $4.00 coffee The French toast was like I make at home using sliced sandwich bread. The eggs were under cooked. The four sausage links being on the small side weren't bad nor were they anything special. The coffee was good. I felt their entire breakfast menu was expensive and under delivered. I hear their lunch and dinner menu is better but I doubt I'll ever find out. I can eat at Dennys and get equal or better food that is less expensive. The Cascade Grill was clean and had a nice atmosphere but not worth chancing a repeat performance no matter how good the coffee was.

Yelp
This is about their online order option. Unless you want exactly what is written, don't use it. It doesn't have a way to edit/add things. There's additional comments, but if it's something that might cost money, you won't get it. It's better to just call it in.

Yelp
Trucker grill!!! This is a restaurant at a truck stop. Good place to go trucker watching! They have all the southern cooking and a loaded menu. However my first two attempts to order off the menu, they were out of. I settled on Fried Chicken. It was good. The place is clean, well priced and servers are quick. It's an interesting place. Absolutely no excitement here though. Only go if you want to see truckers or have good ole home cooked meat wid sum fixens.

Yelp
My family is staying at the hotel and decided to come down for dinner for the sake of convenience. We found that the seat yourself situation seems uncomfortable as we were walking around trying to figure out if a table was available or not; we wanted a booth and didn't know if it was waiting to be cleaned or if the diner went to the salad bar. We opted for a table. The food took a while to come out but they were busy; the staff (Michael) was attentive and followed up with us to update us on our order. I appreciated Michaels customer Service over our waitresses, Julie made us feel rushed and as if we were a burden by her abruptness. I'm sure it was a result of how busy she was so I don't hold it against her. But I must say ... the food was delicious! Homemade meatloaf with divine mashed potatoes. The kids cheeseburger meal filled up my boys and they enjoyed the side of fresh fruit. They packed up a 5pc Fried Chicken for the hubby who stayed in the room to relax ... it smelled great and the broccoli looks like it's cooked perfectly. Check these folks out for a hearty, stick-to-your-bones meal!

Yelp
Ok the waitress is nice but otherwise-Just absolutely F* this place. See photo. $14.50 pork chop breakfast, the pork chops are literally 3" across. I didn't order micromeat. Waitress couldn't bring me any toast because it didn't fit in her computer, and she can't add anything the computer doesn't like. Ok so she offered me some free toast, which was nice. But my over medium eggs had runny snot whites! It was an extra 2 bucks for biscuits n gravy, so $16.50 - but she said "I'll take $4.50 off your bill." Cool. So...$12. But then the check came and is was $14.50 anyway, so...2 bucks off. The gravy was inedible, like licking a salt shaker. There was just no resurrecting this experience: YUCK.

Yelp
first time here, ordered Tuesday special, very chewy beef, very disappointed, not cheap for a truck stop, will not be back

Yelp
This Cascade Grill is a 24 hour truck stop breakfast diner well known among old time Portlanders and Vancouverites alike. They specialize in breakfast, burgers, and overall classic American dishes. The restaurant is located in the Jantzen Beach area, about 3/4 mile south east from where 99-E intersects with I-5. If you're coming off the freeway, be sure to take a right onto 99 instead of Marine Drive at the fork...... Everything here at this Cascade Grill is spacious- from the parking lot to the dining room. There are two classic trucks displayed on the floor just inside the entrance, including a 1957 Mack semi to commemorate the long standing demographic of truckers who pass through this restaurant. We got the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and veges, along with the chicken quesadilla. The country fried steak was crispy and juicy. It was definitely the highlight of our meal... The quesadilla was nothing spectacular, but the portions were huge!! We had enough leftovers for another meal. A few pointers: - Endless prime rib Friday through Sunday - Kids eat free with purchase of a full sized entree - Daily Specials

Yelp
Pretty quick in and out for a burger and fries. My waitress, Denise, has a sense of humor, and delivered my burger as I ordered it. Had to drop a star, due to my water cup running dry. Didn't have room for dessert, maybe next time.

Yelp
Did you know there's a truck stop in city limits? I sure didn't. As far as the truck stop, I dunno. I'm not a trucker. It's an interesting glimpse into the parallel dimension of small cinemas and pay showers, but I wasn't here for any of that. I was here because one of my good lady's vendors booked her an early morning Monday flight and she needed to be at the airport at 4am. Yeah, I know. Fortunately Cascade Grill exists. I buzzed here from the airport and got myself some bacon and eggs and hashbrowns. Real, proper hashbrowns laid thick on the flattop and served in those magical rectangles that are the exact dimensions of a professional quality spatula. Mmm, mmmmmm. The place was empty, service was quick, food was good. While I fervently hope I never have to be up and about at 4am, if I am I hope I'm in range of Cascade Grill before I drag my sorry ass back to bed.

Yelp
I recently gave a review on Jubitz truck stop or Ponderosa and it was a great review. I've recently had to change my tune. We come here at least two times a month as drivers. There's many parts to this truck stop...boot repair, restaurant, two convenient stores, two places to grab fast food, movie theater, hoteland the best part, live entertainment and line dancing. The food has been horrible lately!!! Way overpriced and just gross!!! If it's going to be gross at least have the price reflect it. Chili had way too much cinnamon, my burger came with a soggy bun and tasted weird and the bacon was floppy. My husband was not happy with the pork chops and I couldn't even enjoy my potato skins. I give two stars for the perks you get here and the staff is so sweet, but I can't eat here. I also stood at the host desk forever while the one waitress decided to help someone else who walked up after me. This happened both times today. There is some major help needed with the staffing and the cooking. **update** Thank you for replying to my comment. I've been in the service industry for many years, I usually don't complain or send back food, to be honest it probably would have come back the same. I just hope some of these recipes or the quality of the food improves, I'm not sure what happened to the food recently, I can say that I've had great food here before: the salmon is amazing but the portion is tiny, the omelettes are great, steak bites are great, prime rib is delish. I will try again the next time I come in.

Yelp
Wonderful place for a meal. Want more quiet, eat at the bar....Food good, with some seafood choices. Wait staff pleasant, easy to talk with. Local information readily available, just ask. Clean, pleasant, makes a little down time worthwhile. They are doing some construction on the bar area. So, part of the dining area is separated with temporary walls for the bar. Split Pea Soup w/ham was really good. Coffee is a little weak, but tastes like coffee. Smoked Salmon Hash with two eggs & toast was a nice change. Tasted good, could of used a bit more Salmon, but pleasant. Surroundings are comfortable. They appear to keep maintenance up on a regular a regular basis & the place e is clean.

Yelp
I really don't know what to say, I came in because I got a coupon for ten dollars off. I was told Junitz truck stop was a grand place to stop. It just another truck stop with a diner in it. This "grill" is staffed with people that don't know hot sauce outside of Tabasco and can't heat up a biscuit. I ordered a chicken fried steak, was asked if I wanted hot sauce with it, I asked if they had anything other than that spicy vinegar, Tabasco, they said had green Tabasco. They asked what else does one use I named several and they "Oh" we have one of those, but it not as hot as Tabasco, I asked please go have it. I ordered the breakfast version of CFS, and was asked which kind of toast I wanted. I asked do you have a biscuit, "Oh,yeah". So asked for a biscuit. When the biscuit came out it was black on the inside. After awhile of thought, I asked it I could get one not burnt. The waitress said they all look like that. While can you put a new one on and not burn it. She went to the back and after ten mins came back to give me an under cooked biscuit. I gave up on the situation. I left the waitress a good tip only because my wife was a waitress and God told me to. But please don't expect much from this place, your hopes will be dashed.

Yelp
We stop here when we are in town delivering or picking up. It's not often but we always get great service and awesome food Now as for our last visit here was lost night I usually always get the fish and chips for dinner and it's usually awesome However last night what I was saved was gross at best But I was tired and my husband ordered loaded nachos which would be plenty for th two of us plus I added salad bar to my fish and chips so I wasn't going to say a word However our server Brandy come over and she could tell I wasn't eating it and wanted to know what was wrong. I told her it as bad but I was ok. I wouldn't jaut eat the salad bar and agar my husbands food She immediately got the manager who come out and comped my meal and apologized over and over. I told her it was ok I understand things happen and I would pay for my salad bar because it was fine. She said no that it was free as well Now let me tell you. That's customer service there !!! My husbands nachos were the bomb !!! Salad bar was a basic one with lots of toppings I am usually one to complain when my food I work hard to pay for isn't right but our server was so awesome ther was no way I could complain I wish I had gotten the mangers name because she was very professional !!! We will for sure be back again when in the area !!!

Yelp
Having grown up @ Jubitz as the son of a owner/operator I have many fond memories of this place. Unfortunately this mornings breakfast was not one of them... The biscuits & gravy seemed to be previously frozen and the gravy was bland and tasteless. Maybe out of a can? My wife ordered hashbrowns and bacon. Parts of the bacon were nearly burnt while the rest was nearly cooked. That must be a challenge to accomplish. The hash browns were cooked on one side nice and brown and the other still cold. Again, that must take an amazing level of apathy to achieve. Perhaps if we had ordered Hash Brown Browns they may have been cooked on both sides. Hard to say. I ordered the French Connection... great movie, poor breakfast choice. My 2 over medium eggs were cooked to seperate and highly differing levels of doneness. They were also completely devoid of seasoning. Ironically the bacon had more salt than Morton's. Almost as if it was salted rather than the eggs. Sad. The French Toast itself was also quite poor. Drab and tasteless. How does one ruin french toast? Its bread dipped in egg and fried! Covered in sugar. It should be amazing. This was mushy bland and... musty? Almost as if it was precooked and then dropped in a toaster to serve. The coffee was thin and burnt tasting. Also, the lipstick on my wife's coffee cup wasnt her shade. She also wasnt wearing any. Gross. On the plus side the waitress was nice. She was polite funny and helped make this mornings adventure not a total loss. I'd do zero stars if we could. Sad.

Yelp
I went tonight and ordered the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes, and a cup of clam chowder. The clam chowder was excellent. Good heavy cream base. Just the right flavor. The main dinner was such a let down. The brown gravy was so salty. It tasted like the cook poured a whole container of salt in the batch. The gravy was also greasy and slid around the container. The mashed potatoes looked like someone had cut open a baked potato threw the insides in a bowl and quickly mashed them. They were tasteless and gummy. I am sorry but when I order mash potatoes, you think think they would smooth and lump free. Light and airy like nom use to make. Not even close. Now onto the meatloaf. Greasy and flavorless. They must use the fattiest hamburger they can get. No onions, no celery, no carrot in the meatloaf. Looked and tasted like hamburger patties, no where close to meat loaf.

Yelp
First impressions are important and the Cascade Grill certainly deserves a good look. The outside is a bit unassuming as you walk up, but, once you enter, the quality of the interior construction and decor hit full force. It's quite amazing. Massive ceiling beams and an open floor plan lead you to stop, stare, gaze, then proceed to your seat. How's the food? Well, this is my first visit and I must say that I am well pleased with my order of Smoked Salmon Hash with 2 eggs over easy and wheat toast. My server has been attentive and courteous. The coffee is mild and pleasing. As far as I can tell, this is a gem of a restaurant. Well done!

Yelp
This place has good food, excellent servers, but beware it all comes at a cost. Freakin ridiculous priced food. Worst truck stop priced food anywhere in America. I have been driving truck for the last 18 years and this place takes the cake. Everything at this place is so costly. For example: a full rack of ribs ( I did not get) is $25.99. You get a choice of one side I believe. But if you want to tack on 1 trip to salad bar, it's a additional $5.95 ! You got to be kidding. TA or Petro will charge a lot less than that. Stay away if you money conscious
google avatar

Yelp
I had the beef dip, it's called something else but that's what it is. It was pretty good but not worth $15 -no meals under $10. cheapest thing to get is soup and salad for $10. Anything else is $15-$20. $1.50 to add some onions. Service is super slow waited about 25 mins for my sandwich to come out cold. Just basic and over priced.

Diane O.

Yelp
Ridiculously overpriced. A cup of coffee is $3. Food is terrible. Sad that they take advantage of the lack of options for truck drivers. Went here for lunch. Got the roast beef melt. Beef was decent, but the sandwich was so soggy that it fell apart when I picked it up. The bread had disintegrated. My husbands fried chicken was almost burned. $40 for 2 meals, sandwich and fried chicken and 2 sweet teas. Holy cow. We were stuck for the night, so in the morning we decided to give them a second try. Breakfast is an easy meal and hard to screw up. I was daring, even though I shouldn't have been and tried the salmon hash. YUCK The potatoes were not cooked all the way and still somewhat crunchy, the salmon was so over cooked it was hard to swallow. The hash was disgusting, dry and WAY overly fishy tasting. I have to wonder how long the salmon was lying around. I ordered over medium eggs. I like some runny yolk but hate runny whites... they were barely cooked. In fact calling them over easy would have been a stretch. My husbands pancakes were rubbery. Same story with his eggs. The bacon and sausage were only half cooked. The sausage was raw in the middle and bacon super soft. $40 again FOR BREAKFAST... So $80 + tips later, I can tell you to stop at Walmart and get stuff to make yourself or have a pizza delivered. Two chances were enough to convince us that the owners are greedy and the cooks could care less. Sad that hard working truck drivers get these kinds of ridiculous options while on the road... and you wonder why we are so cranky.

Juan P.

Yelp
Follow up, yes mark did have someone bring us gift certificates. no they were NOT used. they were thrown away as i did not want ANYONE else feeling the way i felt when i was treated this way.

Yelp
Watch out for the salad bar after lunch rush ends. Not replenished very well. Spinach empty. Onions empty except for spoiled pieces. Beets empty also. Had to dig for others.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of watching a young Yelpersnapper indulge in the $15.99 Sunday Brunch Buffet. I used to be able to eat like that. We had gone on a long morning walk out to the Maya Lin site at the confluence of the Sandy and Columbia and had taken Marine Drive back to Portland instead of the Freeway. Lunch? How about Jubitz??? When we arrived. the host informed us that, instead of the usual roast beef, they were offering Prime Rib in the Buffet, "outstanding!!", he said. As we tried to decide if a more reasonable burger and fries (unlimited fries, perfect fries!!!) was to be our choice, we watched a bus-load of elderly visitors move through the buffet. Finally S. U. and I went for the burger and the yelpersnapper began his assault. Three big plates were filled and emptied. it was a beautiful thing to watch. Oh to be young again! The entire Jubitz Travel Center is such a perfect expression of the American Truck stop. It makes me so proud of Portland!

Yelp
I cannot believe I have forgotten to review this place! Bad Yelper! I get grief from so many people when I suggest a truck stop as a great place to eat. I even ended one of my Friday Nighter Rally events here in April 2008. It's just that good people! On Sunday's the Cascade Inn has a brunch buffet that is simply on of the finest in the city of Portland. I suggest you try the eggs benedict, but pretty much everything here is good, but the dessert table borders in obscene! Cakes, pies, sweets... it's almost criminal to have that much good stuff in one place at one time. Normal meal service is always quick and friendly; they are good on refills of whatever you are drinking. Portions are pretty good sized, any truck stop worth its salt does that. I've done it all here, breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, late night... it's all good. I especially suggest the chicken fried steak. Jubitz, you may be interested to know, is one of the most popular truck stops in the United States. Truckers look forward to coming here for the services, movie theater, hotel, restaurant, post office... all kinds of services are available here. As a Portlander you should take pride in Jubitz, it makes Portland a jewel in the trucking world and has grown to be than almost any truck stop in the United States (two other major stops are Truckers World in Ohio and the Iowa 80 Truck Stop in, you guessed it, Iowa.)

Yelp
Sometimes I will work for Postmates and I got an order for something at the Cascade Grill. I was amazed when I got there like "This is a place I want to revisit on my time of and bring my family!" Then as I went to place my customer's order the waitress or host (unfortunately I don't know) she came up to me with an AWFUL attitude saying "Postmates orders items that they do not have." And accusing me of lying and saying it was my order and I was repeatedly trying to order something they didn't have! It's not my problem YOU have a problem with post mates you do not have to take their orders. She went off on me in front of customers with huge attitude and faces. Now I will NOT be coming back for lunch OR my family and I will tell all my friends not to as well. I didn't get the ladies name, but for management's reference she was working the morning of 6/10/2019 and is a heavier set brunette. -Ex potential customer.

Yelp
The service was good. The food was edible. Denny's or Shari's would have been better. The new menu prices are way too expensive for what you get.

Yelp
My friend kept calling it jubitz so I was confused when we ended up at cascade grill. When I heard truck stop, I expected the stereotypical greasy spoon w fluorescent lights and cracked vinyl booths. This was really clean and kind of looked like a mountain lodge. My first time eating at a truck stop and it won't be my last. Menu was full of all-American diner type food, meaning fried and/or smothered in gravy. Got the pan fried pork chops, chicken fried steak and it was Monday so the days special was a prime rib sandwich made from Sunday's prime rib special. There's nothing wrong with leftovers. Entrees came with 2 sides and kids eat for free so we also got 2 kids chicken baskets w fries. Prime rib sandwich was everybodys fav - 2 thick slabs of prime rib well done, assuming it was reheated on the flat top. Totally worth $10. Chicken fried steak is classic with seemingly homemade gravy and mashed potatoes. Pan fried pork chops weren't bad, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Baked beans were like canned pork and beans, but everything else was great. The place was pretty empty except for a handful of truckers so we didn't have the service issues other reviews mentioned. We had super friendly and attentive service the whole time

Yelp
Terrible! I asked for medium. She asked if I meant medium-rare. No, medium. I got bloody, cold in the middle raw. I don't care what she eats, cook what's ordered. Halfway through she asked if I wanted them to cook what was left while the rest of my food got cold. Here's an idea: cook it the way you're told in the first place. Who's cooking, Dexter?
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
They used to have much better food. Very disappointed. I ordered the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and veggies. The mashed potatoes were horrible. They looking like the were left over from a few days earlier. And the part that bothered me was the waitress still served them. They did replace them. But they shouldn't have ever left the kitchen in the first place.
google avatar

Nick W.

Yelp
Typical truck stop ambiance, with a menu to match. Salad bar was scary, very scary. Have been craving some real good fried chicken so we went with that. The chicken was okay, it was fresh cooked but not crispy as I expected based on the servers description. Would go back only because I was there for an overnight stop but wouldn't pull off I-5 for just the restaurant.
google avatar

Jeff J.

Yelp
Food was ok. Just pricey. That's normal for truck stops since they have a captive audience

Yelp
This place is great. Sometimes little busy and server is overwhelming but the pay off is the food is great for the price

Love love love love this truck stop diner. They have breakfast all day. The have sooooo many different menu items. They do a good special every day of the week and it constantly is changing with other delicious food items. The eggs Benedict , yes please ! The hot wings, can I get a hell yeah! The artichoke spinach dip, pretty decent. I've tried so many things here and am never disappointed ! Service is alright. The ladies that work here or nice . Try this place

Yelp
I found this place to quite pleasant. I had myself a shower. Got cleaned up and went to the bar. Now I have to drive so I watched the football game with a nice soda. I ordered the nachos and they came to the table nachos for four. The bar tender was running solo and was fairly busy. She was all over it I wanted nothing she had me covered as well as everyone else. Quite pleasant and gorgeous. I also washed my trailer out and repaired a flat today. Full service truck stop as well a mighty nice travel center.

Yelp
Just had today's special, beef stroganoff.., it was delicious. Staff was friendly and place was clean and inviting. The only downsides for me was I had to wait to get noticed, but it wasn't too long, and the price was a little higher than I normally spend. But then again the food was better than I normally get. All in all, I would definitely come back and recommend to anyone

Yelp
I am forever boycotting Jubitz truck stop and their Cascade Grill. 3-weeks ago I went to this restaurant and was blown away by the most recent price hikes but being 1 am my options were limited. I ordered a $15.50 Caesar Salad and was told it would be just a few minutes. 30 minutes later I inquired about my order and was told it hadn't even been started (along with 3 other orders) because the waitress couldn't find the cook. I cancelled my order and left. Without outlining every incident this is just the last in a very long time of disappointments with Jubitz and it's company businesses. Shame on you Jubitz and anyone planning to patronize this establishment, expect to be disappointed.

Yelp
Back staying here for the boat show and let's just say food is a no go, badly cooked poor quality and overpriced. We decided to try the fish and chips big mistake fish was cheap frozen fish you can get at Walmart and the coleslaw tasted sweet or maybe off even the salads had brown bits of lettuce but it was late so we ate what we could but I think this is our last dinner here. Plus you could tell the fry oil was old management needs to step up. Think I would have learned from last year. So Elmer's here we come !!!

Yelp
Well... I loved the Cascade Grill (a.k.a. Jubitz) But I have to slightly disagree with Chelley. I did have that gross feeling... but it was because I had: A slab of prime rib Rice pilaf Steamed vegetables A pile of shrimp Another slab of prime rib Scrambled eggs Three strips of bacon Two sausage links Home fries A biscuit and gravy Fruit Salad A Slice of Lemon meringue pie and Coffee Hey reader. Before you judge, ponder this: If Michael Phelps can eat 12,000 calories *every day* and win eight gold medals, can one man not eat a fraction of that and win a nap? A Non-sequitur maybe, but the defense rests... Rests on the couch. Anyway, everything I had was perfectly done and delicious. Fresh fruit, spot on pie, outstanding prime rib (as promised by Mr. Jubitz), just-crispy bacon, etc.. it has everything you could want in a buffet, and the whole complex is a paean to that institution of the american road: the truck stop. This is as good as it gets. Speaking of paeans, the all-wise internets tell me that a paean is "An ancient Greek hymn of thanksgiving or invocation, especially to Apollo." So I'll leave you with this poem: If you think the holy spirit just might reside somewhere out there on the road on a plate of chicken-fried steak with biscuits and gravy eaten with coffee at 7am in a booth overlooking a gift shop full of Elvis and John Wayne photos, model trucks, and sweatshirts with gauzy paintings of wolves and teepees in the moonlight, then you believe in Jubitz. The ancient Greek god of Truck Stops. See you there next Sunday. I'll be wearing my teepee sweatshirt.

Yelp
Travel Channel rated this truck stop one of the top 10 truck stops in the world, therefore i had to find out for myself. I'm giving the restaurant 4 stars because suprisingly enough the restaurant is really clean. the menu offers typical american food, steak, burgers, breakfast, salads, etc. but one nice thing is that the food didn't taste overly greasy and i didn't have that gross greasy feeling after eating here. they are open 24-hours a day, another plus since i eat at odd hours (we were here at 1am). besides the restaurant, there's a little arcade, movie theatre, gift shop, mini mart, laundry mat, i bet i could live here!

Yelp
My husband and I are truck drivers and the Jubitz truck stop is one of our favorites. Primarily we like the clean facility, big laundry facility, nice showers, movie theater, pet-friendly hotel and overall *nice*ness of the place. The Portlander restaurant is good, but a bit pricey for what you get. Except on Sundays....the all-you-can eat brunch buffet is WELL worth the $16 ($13 for CDL holders....yummy!) On any other day besides Sunday, the food is pretty decent, the service is below average, and the prices are higher than I'd expect for what basically accounts for normal truckstop fare. Even the salad bar- reasonably well stocked though it is, is something like $8 bucks; and to add a single trip to the salad bar with your meal costs nearly $5. Most places charge under $3 to add a single trip to the salad bar with your entree. I like to order a sandwich, sans fries, and have a salad instead...but not at Jubitz. $5 for a one-trip salad bar is a little much, especially when a grilled chicken sandwich comes in at around $8. For a sandwich and salad I pay MORE than I would for the Sunday brunch!! I've been here probably 20 times on days beside Sunday and it's rare I don't have to fight to get my drink re-filled; I've sat and watched our order sitting under heat lamps while servers chit-chatted in a corner, and I've gotten pretty frosty treatment from a couple of gals in there. If it's not Sunday and you're there at a reasonable hour, I highly reccomend checking out the little deli/ sandwich shop next to the movie theater. MUCH better tasting food and for a much more reasonable price!
