Cascade Restaurant & Pub

Located near Lutsen on the North Shore is one of the region's top restaurants. In the past, we would frequently drive by and think about stopping during our North Shore excursions. This time, we decided to stop for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned for breakfast the following two mornings. The breakfasts we had during our three visits were consistently excellent, with generous portions and a wide variety of options. The ordering process is efficient: collect a menu by the door, place your order and pay at the register, and receive your food quickly. We were impressed with the quality of the egg dishes, cinnamon bun, apple fritter French toast, and pancakes. The prices are very reasonable.

Delicious combo of Steak Bites and Wings and Wine! Steak Bites were plentiful, tender and accompanied by perfect horseradish sauce and tender Naan Wedges. We had the Chicken Wings naked and tried both BBQ and Sweet Thai Chili sauces on the side. These were probably the juiciest wings we've ever had! We sat at the bar and chatted with the friendly staff. Between the food, service, weather on a glorious late June evening, and great Toad's Hallow Pinot Noir, this was a welcomed gift and highly recommended!!!

Just had the Walleye dinner. It was amazing. Fish was perfect broccoli and rice pilaf was great also. Wife had Fish and chips, wasn't what were used to in Wisconsin but really good all the same. Will definitely eat here next time we stay on the north shore. Highly recommend.

Quick service, friendly staff, great tasting food, and fantastic scenery define this place. Nothing is more fun than eating some food looking out at the lake and enjoying the rustic vibes in the interior. I highly recommend pulling in to enjoy a meal.

Spent about three hours while waiting for some skiers to finish the North Shore race. Service was very friendly, coffee was good, chorizo and egg sandwich was great though a bit overpriced even for today ($14) and the large portion of fish and chips looked great but were just okay. The fish batter seemed over-salted, and the fries were either overcooked or fried in dirty oil as they were kinda hard and darker than expected. The tartar sauce was very good, however. Overall a decent experience with the coziness and hospitality, but the food was just okay for the cost.

Don’t let the “order at the counter” message fool you; this place is top shelf. The flat iron steak with sweet potato fries & garlic aioli was superb! The burgers rate with the best in the northland! Flatbread pizzas; mmm… Banana malt was fantastic and big enough to share. The menu is large and eclectic with variety to please even the pickiest diner. Also - a few hummingbirds hanging around just to round out the fun evening.

Stopped for breakfast on our way to gm. I had veggie omelet with biscuits, potatoes and coffee. My husband had the meat omelet and sourdough toast and potatoes. Great place to sit by a window and enjoy the big lake and talk.

We had such a nice breakfast at Cascade restaurant! Delicious pancakes and home fries, unreal triangle hash browns, unlimited coffee. All around a great breakfast! And the view was to die for, looking right out on the lake. Highly recommend!
