Casero Opens a Shop for Its Beautiful Cheese and Charcuterie Boards - Eater Austin

"Casero makes charcuterie, cheese, and crudite boards, as well as pates, pickles, and mustards to go on them. The boards make use of local products like jams from South Lamar shop Confituras and honey from Two Hives, and come in three sizes which can feed four to 16 people. Customers can order one of several types of boards (like the Louise with five cheeses, honeycomb, dried and fresh fruits, nuts, and jam) or create a custom board. While the cheese boards are currently only available by advance order, there are plans to expand Casero’s services at the storefront. Casero was founded in 2019 by Jackie Letelier as a way to recreate the beautiful spreads from her family’s farm in Chile (casero means “home” in Spanish). Casero has been operating out of Confituras, and the boards are currently available at various places around Austin, including the Texas AVA tasting room shared by Texas winemakers C.L. Butaud and Wine for the People. Casero will be open at the new location for curbside service and delivery Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and orders must be placed by 5 p.m. the previous day." - Erin Russell

Never loved everything on a board so much, the fruits were sweet, crackers, meats and cheese were all amazing! Loved that they were so accommodating to our vegan and GF people in the office. Ordered Casero for a small home celebration and we could not be more pleased with the experience! The website made it super easy to place the order and pickup at the South Lamar location was seamless. Opening the box was such a fun experience! The board was beautifully crafted and the quality of the cheese and charcuterie is what drew me to order with Casero in the first place. I love a company that values quality and seeks to work with food purveyors that value quality over quantity. All in all i am so glad we found Casero and definitely plan to order from them again in the near future!

I live in Houston but my middle daughter works as an ER nurse (night shift) in Austin and I wanted to do something special for her and her coworkers for Valentines day. She loves charcuterie boards so I googled charcuterie delivery Austin and found Casero Austin. Their boards looked amazing but they only deliver during the day. I reached out to see if they could refer me to someone else and got an immediate response that they wanted to make an exception to their policy for my daughter and her coworkers for all they have done for the community. Not only did they deliver the most beautiful, delicious board AFTER hours and on their personal time but they added to the board at their cost to make it extra special! They are so generous and so easy to communicate with and deliver such high quality product. What a great asset they are to the Austin food scene. The ER staff were blown away with the how beautiful and delicious the board was and so grateful for the support. I send food gifts often and only wish I could impress my friends in Houston with their boards!! Great staff, delicious food, artful and cares about their community!

I bought a cheese and crudité board for a boat day and the presentation was incredible. Everything was so delicious and fresh! The team was also so helpful they delivered the boards to us and they came boxed and ready to travel. Extremely impressed, highly recommend!

Cute, but wildly underwhelming for the cost. We purchased a small Stella platter as a gift for our loved ones. I understand that the Stella platter’s photo is an example of the large platter, but that gives the impression that there will be fewer of each item, and not that some of the things wouldn’t be present altogether. For example, there was only salami included, no prosciutto. There were no olives on our platter which were the main reason we chose this option. Instead of peanuts or another kind of real nut, they used "corn nuts." For $108, the recipients of this gift received what you see in our photo. One jar each of nice honey and mustard. / $9 extra for the honey Two hunks/slices each of 3 kinds of cheese. Two bags of sourdough crackers. / $8 extra One small cluster of grapes Marcona almonds 6 Pistachios Six dried apricot slices One cherry tomato Corn nuts.

The team at Casero provided individual Lucy boxes for my 50th birthday party. With the current omicron surge, I wanted to keep everything as individual as possible. The boxes could not have been more perfect! Everyone raves about them. I even had a couple of vegan and veggie options. The team at Casero was amazing- excellent customer service has won repeat business and word of mouth kudos to all of my friends and colleagues. They really worked with me when my numbers decreased dramatically and to make everything easy and special. Highly recommend!

It is always a pleasure to receive anything from Casero! Beautiful packaging, thoughtfully arranged, and most important, tastes incredible! Their liver pate is eaten by the spoonful at our house. I love that all their products are locally sourced. Our last order of cheese, pate, and jam was gone in a matter of hours- we just couldn't help ourselves! If you are looking for an instant way to make any occasion feel special, Casero is it!

Great party and catering service company, serving up a variety of charcuterie and cheese platters for all kinds of occasions! They're a locally owned small business making tasty treats for hungry groups wanting something delicious to snack on, including "fresh cheeses, meats, home grown vegetables, fruits from the orchard and delicious, homemade preserves." We were doing a gin tasting event with a group of people and thought we'd give this a try for some afternoon buzzed-feeding. We had 5 people and got the medium sized Stella with some crackers that came out to $145 and was certainly large enough for all of us, with leftovers. It had at least 6 different cheeses on it, pickled cucumbers, meats, a bunch of marcona almonds, fruits (blueberry, fig, cherry, apricot), some honey comb, jam, and crackers. Everything was super fresh, perfectly ripe, nicely organized, and darn tasty. Certainly a great idea for a group of people - probably want to have some other "real" food if you're doing drinks too, but a great accompaniment for a party.
