Casey’s Pizza Review - Mission Bay - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Mission Bay is home to high-end condos, medical buildings, and a big fancy arena, but walking around here can sometimes feel like you’re trapped in a hall of mirrors. All the buildings look monotonous and uninviting (we still can’t fully distinguish between the glass one with the green trim or the glass one with the blue trim). That’s why we’re glad there are places like Casey’s Pizza. This neighborhood spot for craft beer and great thin-crust pizza is a fun hangout that will make you forget you’re in copy-paste wonderland. Casey’s started as a food truck, but they’ve had this counter-service place on Fourth St. since 2017. When you walk by the big front window, you can see pies getting spun and served to tables of families with kids and old-timers in Giant’s gear drinking beer at the bar. Casey’s is so inviting that it could even draw in the White Witch of Narnia. Once inside, she’d quickly realize the food here is better than anything she could make out of snow. You should definitely start a meal here by getting the burrata with a lemony arugula salad, or the light caesar, which are both great, but the real reason to stop by Casey’s is the Neapolitan pizza. It’s exactly what we’d want after a long Tuesday at the office, or a Sunday when we need to leave our apartment for the first time. The crust of the red and white pies is perfectly charred, has a good snap when you fold it, and we can bet you and your friends will be fighting over the last slices of Zoe with mini pepperoni, or the sausage pizza that’s heavy on the fennel. If you want something less tomato-y, we like the funghi with a bunch of fresh thyme and grated grana padano. It’s tangy enough that you won’t even miss sauce. Every once in a while, we hit a neighborhood restaurant that makes us consider moving closer to it. And while we’re happy where we live at the moment, whenever we drop into Casey’s Pizza, we momentarily have a change of heart. Suddenly, renting an apartment in one of the cookie-cutter buildings in Mission Bay doesn’t sound that bad. Food Rundown Burrata This simple burrata comes with cheese, crostini, and a very lemony arugula salad, and everything tastes high quality. Still, though, you’ve seen this burrata everywhere since 2009. Lil’ Gem Caesar The leaves are about the size of elephant ears, and one bite involves a lot of folding and cutting. It’s good and light, and even better to split with a few people. Margherita Pizza This is a great, classic margherita pizza. Nothing more, nothing less. Zoe Pizza The pepperoni is mild and as refined as you felt when you finally learned to color inside the lines. Fennel Sausage Pizza The fennel flavor really dominates this pizza, so if that isn’t something you’re into, you can skip this pie. If it is, order this one with confidence since it goes really well with the sauce. Funghi Pizza This pizza is loaded with mushrooms and fresh thyme in the best way, and the extra cheese grated over the top rounds it out well." - Will Kamensky

Casey’s used to be our go to for pizza but overtime they have gone down hill tremendously. Last night’s order was probably one of the worst. It was cut as though my 3 year old did it. The crust was awfully rolled. Toppings were uneven. Wont be ordering again anytime soon.

Bud was super slow and rude. His card machine went down and he said I broke it. Then he had us there for like 10 minutes while he tried to fix his machine when he could have just put us on the other register.

Fantastic service station for all your needs, all I recommend to Casey’s corporate is to get a zippo lighter Selection (Zippo fluids and flints) stuff like that. Thanks for the years of service and reliability!

This store has seriously problems. Pizzas used to be very good, the best in town. I just ordered online for pickup and instead of original crust like I ordered, it was a thin crust, burnt on one half, undercooked on the other half. How that's possible, I don't know. Doritos Cool Ranch Dip for an additional dollar was advertised and I included it my order but the store clerk said that they are out of it. My son said that it appeared that the employees on duty were baked out of their minds. Basically just milling around outside the store, in a geosynchronous orbit, buzzed to the gills.

2nd time now ordering from this store well in advance and i go to pickup at the given time only to find they haven't even started on my order. Not sure what is difficult about delivering a product by the time you said it would be ready. Really unfortunate because caseys is a family favorite, but fool me twice shame on me. Yall need to get a handle on this.

I ordered on line . Pizza was suppose to be ready at 5 22. It's 5 45 and they just put it in the oven. Cashier was playing on his phone when I walked in. Had to wait for hom to pause his show to assist me. Store is dirty . They should close this location.

Yelp
Casey's is definitely not what I expected it to be. the first time I went there for gas I didn't know that they served hot food. so on a whim one day picking up some gas and necessities, I decided to try a slice of pizza. being a gas station I was literally expecting the worse, most likely a cold piece of rubbery style gas station pizza. What I wasn't expecting was a tasty slice of pizza. I have had several people tell me the pizza is delicious and worth ordering, and wasn't let down. since ordering that single slice I have become a Casey's pizza fan. I have used them for delivery once or twice, and had delightful results with that service, and being so close to the location, it was as hot as it would have been had I gone and picked it up. Casey's also offers other hot items to eat, but the pizza is definitely worth trying, at least once to see what it tastes like. I took someone's advice and tried it myself and now I'm a fan. as I always say, do yourself a flavor and give them a try today. who knows you just might have a new pizza delivery service..

Yelp
For this being Gas Station pizza it's the best I've ever had. You either like it or you don't and I love it!

Yelp
There's a lady working the register who's rude. Every white person who comes in gets conversation and a smile. Every person who walks in of color, she has an attitude and monotone. I asked her if she's having a good day and she looked at me stupid. What type of customer service is that.
