Google
This snowball stand is the best around. They have the softest ice, with the best flavors to go along with it! They have some unique flavors that no other stands have. Like their creamy flavor Tres Leches, that taste like a mixture of orchata mixed with condensed milk. It’s def my go-to favor! & you get a lot for your money at this snow ball stand!

Ethan Poret

Google
Was short 50 cents for two 1.50 snowballs. It should of been 3.50 to 4 at most but it was 4.50. The guy was sweet until i told him i only had 4 dollars. He sighed and took change from the tip jar then got upset and said i was fine. I felt bad and apologized but he was still upset. I get that workers are rotated out quick and tips help but… it’s 50 cents. Its the smallest size. Its hot. I truly feel terrible over this measly two quarters.

Alex Lewis

Google
Great snowball stand, very nice people, they were very quick, and the snowballs were great. It was cash only sp luckily I had cash.

Michael Knoll

Google
One of the top spots for Snow Balls in the area. Chocolate with condensed milk!!!

Sherree S

Google
So yummy, lots of flavors to chose from. We were visiting from Illinois andxI wanted my husband to try his very first snowball. He loved it too. Can't be the prices for these, and it's always a plus to have the sweetened condensed milk added to it. The line moves really fast.

Rochelle Garcia

Google
Flavor and service was good but my snowball wasn’t juicy enough, also I love the ice.

Rio Wibowo

Google
Local favorite and friendly price. Large selection and generous syrup for the snowballs

Erica Mullins

Google
Tasty. Cheap. Quick. Friendly. We’ve been going since I was a toddler. Been ordering bubble gum + cotton candy + whipped cream for 20+ years! Still the best!!

Yelp
Hit or miss for me!! I frequent Casey's just because it's close to where I live and whether I get a good snowball is honestly determined on which worker I have making it. Sometimes they're really good and sometimes they're alright. The ice is mostly finely shaved but sometimes it's crunchy.

Yelp
My husband's family has been coming here for years and we always stop by when we're in town. The chocolate sno ball is quite good. The ice consistency is perfect. I tried the strawberry shortcake and it was pretty tasty. Hubs likes half chocolate half coconut.
google avatar

Yelp
Yum! Cheap, fast and delicious. Cash only. I got cafe au lait with ice cream. I am glad I do not live close. I'd get diabetes.

Howard M.

Yelp
Best place for snowballs and ice cream in Metairie. Great value and friendly people. The quality of their ice cream and chocolate snow balls with cream are best in class.
google avatar

Yelp
Locations for Casey's is great with a decent amount of parking. Pricing is just right for the sizes. I would like a smaller size for kids. The menu offers a variety of flavors. The piña colada is one of their best cream flavors. The only downside is the ice. It can be a so hit or miss with having a soft/smooth texture. That is what makes the snowball so appealing is melt in your mouth ice. I tried nearly all the snowballs stands in Metairie this Summer multiple times. I can say without a doubt when Casey's ice is good it makes a difference.

Brandi B.

Yelp
The service was okay. But we had ANTS in our sno-balls!! Likely they were in the syrups please check the bottles for sugar ants Caseys!!

Gayle R.

Yelp
Service and snoballs were both awesome as always. Not overpriced, quality is great, and no skimpy spoons or straws like a certain other popular but very overpriced stand

Yelp
Outside of New Orleans city proper, Casey's has always been the best of Jefferson Parish (Kenner and Metairie). For the longest, they have been the go-to. Granted, they are still the go-to when I come in town; however, I've been disappointed by the quality lately. Snowballs consistently have major chunks of ice and are soaked in so much syrup that there's just a pool of it throughout. On top of that, these aren't the friendly characters I once knew who staffed and ran the place; I wouldn't quite call this new crew rude, but they certainly aren't pleasant. I guess as the old adage says, it ain't like it used to be. But it's still solid, and if I'm not in the city, I'll keep going back. So I suppose that says something, right?

Sarai H.

Yelp
I came here with 15 of my friends from Texas. I wanted clarity on the menu because I wasn't sure if it was the same as a raspa (shaved ice in English). When I asked a question one of the ladies laughed and I responded "I'm not from here so I just wanted to know." I was pretty disappointed by this response. Some of my friends also had sassy responses from some of the workers. We were really excited and felt disappointed by our experience. Needless to say, I wouldn't come back here.

Yelp
We stopped by as it was super hot and wanted to cool off and this was a great stop! My husband got the tres leches and I got a strawberry kiwi with strawberry topping. We added some of my strawberry topping to the tres leches and it was sooo good. The small was plenty but we are also can't eat a lot of super sweet stuff. Guys working we're very nice and it was super quick and cheap for both of us to get the smallest one it was less than $5. Definitely suggest as there are a ton of different combinations you can make and it is a great way to cool off!

Yelp
Just got a snowball and a monsoon here with my boyfriend. Was delicious! Will be back for sure!
google avatar

Maia B.

Yelp
been here at least twice a week the whole summer, definitely the best snowballs around!!
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
My favorite Metairie spot since I was 10, good flavor selection, decent sugar free options too.

Mary O.

Yelp
Fast service and tasty treats! Their soft vanilla ice cream is the best. Easy in and out parking.

William P.

Yelp
Ice cream and snowballs were fantastic! Me and my sister went to the door to ask if we could have a few more sprinkles in our ice cream The men told us no get out you cannot knock on the door you can have to go to the front window and I said well line was long and he shut the door on us. Yesterday we knocked on the door and the guy that answered had no problem and gave us our sprinkles. Overall I will write a three star because good snowballs and ice cream just the customer service could use a little work.

Yelp
The escapades of a snowball-a-holic's spouse continues. Last night, i was coerced into finding yet another new snowball stand to visit. It's a good thing that New Orleans is "chock full" of snowball stands, so this wasn't a difficult task. Having already been in Metairie, I decided to give Casey's Snowballs a chance. They have been located on West Esplanade Ave near Clearview for several years now and have a pretty good reputation. You don't need a lot of real estate to have a great snowball stand and Casey's looks like your run of the mill stand from the outside. However, don't let their everyday appearance fool you. The old fashioned nectar cream tasted like the sweetest...................I'll just stop there and say it was super sweet. LOL However, it didn't leave you thirsty like some heavy syrup snowballs do. I can not even imagine what a treat thhis would have been if we opted to add condensed milk on top. (Maybe next time, maybe tonight!) And the ice. Let me tell you, this is one of the smoother ices I've had in a long time. Not velvet smooth, but pretty darn close. Not sure when I'll be back as there are so many stands left to try. However, this place is "legit". If you like snowballs and live in Metairie, add this to your list of places to try.

Yelp
MY FAVORITE SNOWBALL STAND! My family has been coming here as long as I can remember. I think that my grandparents moved to Metairie before this place existed. Not only does Casey's have an impressive list of regular snowball flavors, they also have quite a few sugar-free options. One of the things I like most about this snowball HEAVEN is that they have other options. Do you like soft serve waffle cones? Because I DO! They also have monsoons (soft serve mixed with chocolate and other things), sundaes...I'm not even sure what else. They are locally owned and operated. My general physician even told me she worked there in high school. I had one of those "new orleans is a big city but a small town" moments. I love my home and my favorite snowball stand... This is the kind of place where you would ask "what high school did you go to?" As all we locals do. :)
google avatar

Keith C.

Yelp
The best. There will be no arguments. I've loved Casey's from the first visit I can remember and will never waver. I understand people are territorial about snowball spots in NOLA, but if you're looking for the best quality, cost and wait times, Casey's is the absolute tops. Nectar Cream FTW.
google avatar

Nola M.

Yelp
We have been coming here since I was a teenager, always the perfect snowball. Well it's either ice cream flavor with condensed milk or orchid creme vanilla what a treat!!

Ted L.

Yelp
Good snowballs with many Flavors and ice cream options. Easy parking. Friendly service.

Meghan M.

Yelp
Casey's is great! Just moved to the area but my husband has been coming here since he was a child - we both love it! I personally like the "monsoons" as much as the snowballs - it's hard to choose which is best! My husband prefers the snowballs. It would be even better (and I would need 6 stars!) if they had picnic tables or somewhere to sit and enjoy your treat! Go there. Enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
BEST ICE I EVER. I got a stuffed snowball, and let's just say I have been back almost every day since. My fiancé and I love going here!
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
Great place for snowballs and ice cream treats. We hit up Casey's a lot during the summer months for an afternoon or evening snack. The snowballs are always flavorful and the ice is very soft. It is cash only so be prepared. Also, lines can get long but it moves quick, as there are usually 3 people working during busy hours. Parking can be a challenge during busy hours too but be patient and you'll find a spot.

Michelle G.

Yelp
Just ordered a pineapple, chocolate, and strawberry snowball. The ice had large hunks and the syrups tasted watered down. Wasn't the same good quality they have been known for.
google avatar

Yelp
There is something special about a New Orleans snowball. By the way if you are in Naw'lins and you call it a snow cone (or anything else) you will be corrected. It is a snowball. What makes the New Orleans snowball unique is the chopped ice and the syrupy. The ice is finely chopped but not light and fluffy; it is more heavy and smooth. The syrupy is sugary and flavorful. This past trip to the Big Easy we sampled flavors such as bubble gum, sour apple, cream soda, wedding cake, tutti fruity, and red cherry. Casey's is a nice snowball stand located in Metairie. It is a standalone building, and has it's own parking lot. The stand has a good selection of options and is very popular with the locals.

Yelp
Seems like Casey's has been there for generations. The environment, snow/ice, flavors and prices are great. One of the best snowballs I've had and I've been in NOLA since the 50s. One of their newest flavors, tres leeches, is my new favorite. It tastes like light condensed milk or an awesome flan / custard over perfect snow.

Yelp
This sno-ball stand already gets a solid four stars from me based on the fact that they're open till 10 PM most nights. After all, where else can you get a sno-ball from on a Monday night after 8 PM? They're also open year round!! Perfect for people like me who still enjoy sno-balls in 50 degree weather! Lol. We go here because it's around the corner from my bf's house and there's never a line. There's tons of flavors and toppings to choose from. The staff at the window are a great help with suggesting flavors if you're unsure of what to get. My favorite is their chocolate sno-ball stuffed with swirl ice cream with plenty of condensed milk on top. Messy and sticky but SO GOOD!!!
google avatar

Joseph M.

Yelp
This is the best place to go for snoballs. We have been going here for years. They have the best flavors. Also you need to always get it stuffed. In my opinion there is no better place to get a snoball!! Once you try a snoball here you will not want to ever go anywhere else.
google avatar

Jenn J.

Yelp
Stopped by for the first time today. Grabbed a small cream soda snoball. I kept it quick and simple. There was just enough syrup and I loved the texture of the ice, smooth with a slight crunch. There were some clumps but, not enough to disappoint. Did I mention it was only a buck, yep $1! Maybe it was just me but, the guy at the window wasn't exactly the friendliest I've met but, overall it was a good experience . I would go back.
google avatar

Steve I.

Yelp
It's snowball season again so it's time to get your fill of these yummy creations. Casey's to me is one of the best snowballs around! They have really great shaved ice and the flavors are so good. The nectar is my personal fave but they also have flavors such as banana fudgecicle, cheesecake, orchid cream vanilla, and sour apple.
google avatar

Jonathoan E.

Yelp
Nice place for a snowball! Open late, they have a great variety and open late. we tried a few different items and they offer sugar free choices.
google avatar

sophia g.

Yelp
Great place to go to cool down on a hot day, or for a quick cheap dessert. I love to get one of their strawberry sundaes. There usually so big that I usually share it with someone. As for the sno-balls, there a gazzillion of flavors to choose from. Haven't found one I didn't like yet. Only downside is that there tends to be a long line with only one window open. Need to get a better system down to get people moving faster. If I see a long line, I normally just pass them right on by.
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
The coconut cream flavor I got was good but the ice is more gritty and chunky than Hansen's but less so than Sal's. There aren't many other options in this particular area of Metairie to get an icy treat and the prices are significantly cheaper than what you will find in the city. The line was one person in front of me and about three people arrived behind me with service time taking only a matter of seconds. They also are heavy on the syrup pour if you like that. They have a selection of other treats and quite a substantial parking lot. They have cream flavors here and the ice and flavor selection here seems better than Sal's. Like most snowball stands this one is cash only.
google avatar

Matthew K.

Yelp
One of my favorite snowball stands. The ice is soft and light not thick shards of razor ice like some places I won't name. They always hook up the condensed milk and sause. Get the Clear strawberry stuffed with vanilla soft served. Always greeted and served with a smile.
google avatar

Lacey D.

Yelp
I like the snowballs here, although i find them to be very sweet. The best thing is that they are open late! I prefer the sugar free or the ice cream to the regular snow balls, but there is always a line which says good things!
google avatar

Terry V.

Yelp
Casey's has been my preferred snowball stand for many years. Great flavors, good service. My favorite is the chocolate-vanilla swirl ice cream cone, but I've been known to sample the snowballs as well.
google avatar

Mallory E.

Yelp
I've been going to this snowball stand since I was a kid. Cream flavors are always delish! Cash only (like most snowbal stands) so don't forget to bring it!
google avatar

Heather F.

Yelp
This is the best snowballs in town! They have a large selection of snowball flavors and sundae options. Generally service is quick, except when there is a line a mile long out front, but, to me, it is still well worth the wait. Some of my favorite flavors is the nectar with cream, stuffed dreamsicle with vanilla ice cream and half and half raspberry and black cherry. Their sundaes aren't to bad either. They are more than willing to customize your order to your liking. Stuffed, plain, with or with out cream or condensed milk. They will even mix flavors if you ask. My mom really like the chocolate snowball with almond and coconut. Tastes just line an Almond Joy. So go give them a try and find your favorite flavor combination.
google avatar

Megan C.

Yelp
I must have gone on a busy night, but this was one of the worst snowballs ever. The ice was super chunky and the syrup was so sweet it made my mouth sting. As a snowball fanatic, trust me... Unless you want a snowball that is as crunchy as the ice from your fridge ice maker, go somewhere else!
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
This has been my go-to snowball stand for many years, and it continues to be. They stay open for the season thru the end of November now, which is a plus. They know I get the $3.50 jumbo size every time, so sometimes when they see me pull up, they have my cup filed with ice by the time I walk up to the window ready to put whatever flavor I want on it. That's service right there! They love seeing my little girl who turned 1 a few months ago. I feed her some by the spare window as the girls watch. It's cute! I rotate between a handful of flavors: Tutti Frutti, Wild Cherry, Raspberry, BlackBerry, and Black Cherry. Sometimes I get Blueberry but only when I'm on vacation from work as I work in customer service and a blue tongue is not professional. That's why I stick with red flavors. Oh, and they stay open later than most other stands.
google avatar

Quynh D.

Yelp
I want to give 4 1/2 stars but I can't, so 4 it is! I live in Metairie, and I am so sick and tired of having to drive far into town for a delightful treat. I always assumed Metairie snow balls were crap. Boy was I wrong. I stumbled upon Casey's snowballs when I googled other options besides Hansen's. Sadly I've only had Hansen's in this Nola area. I'm originally from Lafayette where we called them Snow Cones. LOL. Anyways, I digress. Casey's is right on the corner of clear view and west esplanade. Perfect location to get a snowball and head out to sit on the lake to enjoy the weather. Their snowballs are cheap and delicious. I only paid $3 for two. Straight to the point and refreshing! I didn't order any cream flavors but I'm definitely going to try one next time. I got the dreamsicle and it was delicious. However, it was a tad bit too sweet. Hence, not 5 stars. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Hansen's. However, it's too far, the line is always too long, and I somehow end up paying like $4 for a snow ball. The parking lot was very packed with many people enjoying their snow balls in their car. I took it with me to the lake instead!

Danielle W.

Yelp
My family and I visited this snowball stand the employee that servered us must not be use to black people patronizing the establishment she was very rude with us and I took notice of this because she didnt treat the white patrons this way, maybe the employees need training in public relations ijs
google avatar

Ann K.

Yelp
I'm not a big sweets person, but this has been my favorite place to bring my kids for a quick treat since they were little. Their menu has a variety of options, and you are sure to find something you like. Condensed milk on your snowball? They can do that Some candy bars or hit chocolate on your ice cream? No worries. They've got you covered.
google avatar

James D.

Yelp
Good snowballs, cheap prices, with many different size and flavor options. My fiancé got a sour green apple snowball and I got a chocolate monsoon with Heath bar pieces mixed in. They were both good, we will be back!
google avatar

C C.

Yelp
Customers seem unimportant to workers. I witnessed a guy named Eric screaming at a lady who wanted a snowball at 10:00. I heard them say they closed early. It seems to me that it is bad business to close early.
google avatar

AuraLee P.

Yelp
Quintessential local snoball stand. My native NOLA-born friends swear by this place as one of the best and I am inclined to agree. Large (but not too large) list of flavors and they're happy to customize your order for you.
google avatar

greg c.

Yelp
it's not just nostalgia, I SWEAR. i just went back to my hometown last year, and stopped by to get a snowball. i don't care what anyone says, it's better than taiwanese shaved ice, hawaiian shaved ice, or anything else shaved and icy from any other place in the world. it's a SNOWBALL, and not only does it keep your mind away from the heat and humidity, it tastes great! strawberry with ice cream chocolate with condensed milk wedding cake, just plain you. just. can't. go. wrong. you really, can't.
google avatar

Beth W.

Yelp
Best snowballs in Metairie! Chocolate is awesome, but so are all the other flavors. Perfect cool down place for summer heat!

Michael L.

Yelp
I live uptown, but the dad lives out in Metairie. Casey's is always a good excuse to go for a visit. I honestly don't get the obsession with Plum St. and the like. I can't stand the Chinese to-go pails and their leaky bottoms requiring plastic bags. Not enjoyable for me. Great flavors, good ice. Strawberry with ice cream in the middle, unbeatable. Casey's soft serve is always the perfect consistency. Cold and solid at first and slow to melt.
