"Tex-Mex barbecue truck Valentina’s closed down its burger-dedicated truck Cash Cow Burgers in Buda as of January 16. The Instagram post notes that they’ll 'be back' in the Texas town. Pitmaster and owner Miguel Vidal opened the truck at the Memorial Mini Golf & World War II Museum in September 2021, focusing on his stuffed burgers." - Nadia Chaudhury

Delicious! We had the Mo Money, Platinum fries, the burger special and a mexi dog. The goat cheese in the mo money is dynamite. A little pricey but very very good.

We eat here once a week due to the convenient location near our neighborhood. Cameron and staff are super friendly and the food is top notch. Having the playscape dedicated to a ww2 veteran is a huge bonus for the kids, also they are adding nature trails and such too.

Great smoked burgers and the fry's were fantastic!

Google
Yikes, where to start. We love Valentina’s so we wanted to try their new burger spot. The photos on Instagram looked amazing, but let me tell you it was quite the opposite experience. Fries were cold and the burgers were greasy and lacked flavor. Also the meat was tough. Just overall not worth the $16 they charge for a burger. Don’t waste your time coming here, learn from our experience and waste of $45. There are plenty of good burgers elsewhere.

Google
Similar to Valentinas bbq location, ordering was a very slow process and they weren't busy Food came out for our group over a 45 minute span. $4 side of fries fed one person. Burgers were tasty but very undercooked, less than rare.

We really wanted to love them, but the burgers were way too salty and the buns were a disappointment. For the price, we were expecting to be blown away. I gave an extra star for the Airplane Slide for the kiddos and that the burgers were done pretty quickly.

Google
I was able to eat here once and the food was fantastic. However, the place simply hasn’t been open when we’ve come by for months (last attempt was yesterday evening, August 27th). The hours listed here are totally incorrect and never accurate. They’re not open during lunch or dinner hours on weekdays or weekends, so I have no idea what’s going on. If you’re hungry, just skip this place and move on to another spot that is open.

Tried the Chump Change (plus crispy bacon and cheese), the Gold Rush (queso) french-fries, and then I got a bite of my pal's Mo' Money burger. It was all so good, we have to go back. WE HAVE TO GO BACK!!!!

Yelp
I live pretty far North but I'm a fan of Valentina's BBQ down South. When I saw on Instagram that the Valentina's owner opened this burger truck. It was time to head south and try it out. The truck is parked in the yard of a miniature golf course which looks like fun. I ordered two burgers, the Chump Change and the Jr Broker. I tried these two because they are the most original to a standard burger and I wanted to taste the meat and smoke. The burgers overall are tasty. The chump burger has the standard toppings with cheese and the Jr broker is very basic with cheese onions and ketchup. I was very pleased with my meal and will go back to try the other burgers and the fries. That just means another trek down south. Which I don't mind.

Yelp
Wow man. I must say, they have burgers on lock now. We had gone to their soft opening and still had minor kinks which was expected but now, oh man, super tasty and filling burgers. Yes, they can be pricey and yes there may be a wait, but damn, their smoked burgers are worth every minute and every single cent. After having their burgers, you can probably skip a meal. I had the Gold Rush today (they were out of their Brisket melt) and didn't read the menu correctly. This beast has 2 nicely smoked and lightly peppered patties with fries sandwiched in between. Are you effin kidding mang???? And their gold sauce - it's mustard based but so damn good, either by itself, on the burger or for dipping your fries. Fortunately, I had a small breakfast and was famished . . . So I thought. 1. I coul barely open my mouth wide to bite it 2. At one point, i had to take out the second pattie because this beast had me on the ropes. I finished it but barely. I can safely say I will be skipping dinner and breakfast. With that said, I cant wait to try their Brisket Melt!!

Yelp
Have always heard about the infamous burgers that used to be the Thursday burger at Valentina's. Had to check it out for myself. Ordered queso fries and the chump change burger. The queso fries were really good but was expecting a little more fries for the price. The chump change burger was excellent. Super smoky and seasoned well. It was also quite filling! Definitely ask for some of their sauces on the side to try your burger and fries with. A little far of a drive from central Austin but would do it in a heartbeat all over again!

Yelp
Came here for lunch on the second weekend they've been open. The wait times from their soft opening have gone down considerably. We had no wait to order and our food was prepared fairly quickly. I went for the mo money burger and thought it was pretty good overall. It certainly scores a lot of points for creativity, the patty is stuffed with Goat Cheese and Boursin in a similar manner to a Juicy Lucy, but much less gooey. I enjoyed how much flavor those cheeses brought, but they do kind of dominate the burger so if you don't enjoy the strong flavors those cheeses bring I wouldn't recommend this one. The patty itself was super juicy, mine was cooked to about medium and my friends said theirs came out closer to medium rare (none of us specified how we wanted it cooked). As always from Valentina's, the meat was clearly high quality. The only downsides with their burger Id say are the bun is so hefty and dense that it kind of detracts from the flavor. I also didn't notice the mo money sauce, as the cheeses really overpowered any secondary flavor the sauce would bring. Overall, I think this spot makes for a good afternoon along with the mini golf course. But if you're just looking for a good meal I think you're better served driving over to Valentina's taco truck or sticking to Austin proper for a comparable burger experience

Yelp
In a city with a lot of great burger joints, I think I just found my favorite. The made to order, fresh ground burgers taste absolutely awesome. Take it up a notch by asking for some homemade Valentina's BBQ sauce or Habenero mustard. Service extremely friendly at a price you would expect for such quality.. my tastebuds are still dancing.

Yelp
This Burger Truck is a spin-off of the famous Valentina's Tex-Mex BBQ Truck. Its reputation travels before it. On Opening Day, so many people showed up to try the burgers that the food truck had to shut down after twenty minutes. They had run out of prepped food! The reputation is entirely justified. This is a fine place. * * * They are known for a burger they had served at their old BBQ truck - The Mo $$ Burger. This is a burger stuffed with herbed boursin and goat cheese and then covered with six zillion toppings. This is what nearly everyone in the crowd was having. * * * However, one third of their menu is hot dogs rather than burgers. Samuel C finds it nearly humanly impossible to turn down a hot dog. Make that absolutely impossible to turn down a hot dog if it is a really good Mexican hot dog. These are really good Mexican hot dogs. What is the Valentina trick? Well, yeah, they smoke the hot dogs so the hot dogs are really good. But the real mark of distinction is that they serve the dog in a tortilla and they mega char the tortilla. I couldn't tell if the tortilla was grilled or it was deep fried. Maybe it was both. It wasn't soft. It wasn't crispy. It was in its own special place between soft and crispy. The char gave it a deep deep deep grilled taste that made it darker and smokier than even the hot dog itself. I absolutely positively adored it. I don't live anywhere near Buda ... but I could see driving way all the way to Buda to get another hot dog like that. * * * French fries on the other hand are skippable. The Pure Gold Queso does not do much to wake them up. But who cares if you have hot dogs like that? * * * I usually don't do soft openings. I like to give the kitchen a chance to work the bugs out before it has to go out and prove itself to the world. The most famous soft opening in history is in the movies: the last half hour of Jacques Tati's comedy Playtime. It is one of the greatest scenes in French Cinema. The setup is an incredibly insane soft opening of a new gourmet restaurant. Nothing is ready. The painters are still slapping paint on the wall. The electricians are still trying to wire the electric lights. The plumbers have some of the sinks working. The crowds are pouring in with their tuxedos and their furs. The cooks are working at 90 miles an hour. They have to prepare five course meals for 400 people with more coming in the door every minute. The waiters dashing back and forth. Workers are carrying pipes and rolls of carpeting to where they are needed. The maitre d' is replacing vents that have fallen off the wall and keep falling off the wall. Nothing works. Everyone is having a great time. * * * The Opening of Cash Cow was a lot like this. There were a million customers. The cooks were short of everything. The truck itself was not cooperating with this flap not opening and that flap not closing. Yet, everyone stayed in a good mood. And after a while, a lot of really good hot dogs and hamburgers were served. * * * The staff of Cash Cow will go to bed tonight as nervous wrecks. But this truck is basically a good place. Give them a week or three to get everything where it needs to be. If you just can't wait, You can always go to their barbecue truck, Valentina's Tex Mex. The BBQ truck worked all the bugs out a long time ago.

Yelp
Today is their soft opening. Valentina's BBQ owners opened this burger truck on The WW II musuem and putt golf property today. We got Mo' Money and CHAMP burgers. The burgers were tasty. The Mo money burger was one the money! They sold out within an hour each day this weekend so don't be disappointed if they don't have burgers. I waited an hour for my burgers. I got the last one before they closed to buy more food and prep but they planned to take more orders in 30 minutes. There were about 20-25 people lining up. I hope they got enough food. They had their entire family working today.

Yelp
I have always loved getting the Thursday burger at Valentina's. However, since it's a hike for me, it was always hard to make it. The burger truck that they opened now makes it much easier to grab one of their delicious concoctions. I had the C.R.E.A.M. Burger and the queso fries. They were both excellent. The truck is also located at a mini golf park, so I played a round after lunch. Highly recommend visiting this truck.

Yelp
I had the CREAM Burger and my wife had the Jr Broker and we shared fries. Both burgers were large and flavorful. The fries were a very small order but they were fresh and $4.00. My burger was $15.50 and my wifes $6.00 (small). There was nothing special about the bun. Although the food was tasty, it was a bit overpriced Will probably just pass by next time.

Yelp
Best Burger in Texas!!! We split the Patron Stuffed Bacon Burger and it was so tender and juicy with just the perfect amount of stuffed bacon and cheese. The bun was soft and tasty too. The fries were hot and crisp and plentiful. I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now. It did not disappoint!!!! Great location too with plenty of seating and mini golf; playground; and a snow cone truck for the kids and those young at heart. Can't wait to go back for another beautiful burger.

Yelp
The buns reminded us of McDonald's, that's not a compliment. The burger patty was okay but kind of dry and not especially flavorful. The best brisket burger I have had is served by their cousin at Treaty Oak Distillery.

Yelp
Dropped by here for the first time after hearing about it opening and its Valentina's connection. The cashier was very nice, and helpful to us deciding what we wanted. The burger was good, although a little over seasoned. The bun was nice, and overall I enjoyed it, but it was quite salty. We'll probably be back

Yelp
Seriously one of the best burgers I have ever had! The staff working was super friendly. Queso was fire!

Stacy K.

Yelp
I drove 30 minutes to try your burgers. It's 4:30 pm on a Saturday and you're not open during your posted business hours.

Yelp
This place was amazing! Staff is customer service oriented and the food is out of control awesome! They have a P-51 Mustang playground for crying out loud! After you eat, go on over to the state-of-the-art WWII themed mini golf course. Challenging and educational. Then hit the WWII museum that features many era weapons and many more artifacts. I was very impressed and will continue to return . Mercia!
