"Clocking in at about 540 feet, Hooibergâs volcanic formation is made of an indigenous type of quartz diorite and centers the island. The second highest point in Aruba, Hooiberg is named after the Dutch word for âhaystack,â and is considered an easy half-mile hike for most visitors. Climb the 600 concrete steps that lead to the top where, on a clear day, you can see Venezuela, the California Lighthouse, and Arikok National Park. There are places to rest as you ascend, so donât worry if you get a little winded. If you have the stamina, just north of Hooiberg are the Ayo and Casibari Rock Formations, massive boulders that offer another view from above. Reward yourself with a drink and a bite at the snack bar at the base." - Marie Elena Martinez
Part of a planned excursion. Enjoyed the small stop. Great for some interesting snaps within the rock formations. Over Xmas there's a santa sleigh and some other festive displays to photograph.

Beautiful place. Looks like a small botanical garden. Besides climbing the main rock, you can walk around and explore hidden paths.

So surprised to be impressed by a collection of rocks and stones. It literally resembles a scene from the flintstones. Beautiful natural rock formations and cacti so tall and imposing. You can climb to the top if you're brave although the stairs are rather steep. Stayed for less than an hour. Local amenities nearby and worth adding to a days itinerary. Willllma! I couldn't help that one.đ

Great views. Can become crowded at top. Steep climb so take your time going up and especially coming down. Excellent spot to wander and take pictures. Many different smaller formations.

What a very cool place to visit! I have been in the stone business for over 20 years. I was excited to find these formations on a random drive. Great stop! Its free. They have a restaurant also and looks like a pool there also. We didnt get a chance to try their food.

Very nice area to visit, with lovely rock formations and beautiful vistas of the crashing waves. There's a gift shop and clean bathrooms. Plenty of parking. Very, very touristy.
