I rarely give five stars, but this restaurant has truly earned every single one. From the moment you walk in, the attention to detail is evident – the ambience is elegant yet understated, creating a refined atmosphere that invites you to slow down and savor the experience. The service is polished, attentive, and effortlessly professional – exactly what one hopes for at this level. But the real triumph lies in the food. Each dish was a testament to culinary craftsmanship, with ingredients that were both fresh and thoughtfully sourced, prepared with precision and care. The flavor combinations were simply outstanding – bold in concept, yet perfectly balanced in execution. There was a clear narrative running through the menu, where texture, temperature, and taste came together in sophisticated harmony. What stood out most was the confident restraint: nothing felt overdone, and every element on the plate had purpose. The creativity in pairing flavors and reinterpreting traditional elements into something modern and memorable was remarkable. While the pricing is on the higher end, the experience delivered far more than just a meal – it was a genuine culinary journey. For those who value gastronomy as an art form, this place is a must. I will gladly return, and recommend it to anyone who seeks more than just dinner – but a truly elevated dining experience.

Excelent service, the staff is great. The food is not impressive, the lamb was overcooked. Entrecote was nice but not impressive. Spargels were good, the dessert was really nice. It is very fancy inside and they have fine cutlery. Just do not expect your dish to be awesome. It is pretty average. I would say that the lamb was too dry and that made my experience not so happy. Been here twice.

Over the past five years of visiting regularly, Leo has always greeted me with the warmest smile, making every visit special. His professionalism, respectfulness, and mindfulness shine through in every interaction. He is, without a doubt, the most incredible employee I have ever met. I also want to give a special mention to Carmiella — another wonderful member of the team whose kindness and attentive service always brighten the atmosphere. Together, they help create an environment that is welcoming, uplifting, and filled with warmth. The mood among the clients is always relaxed and joyful, and I feel genuinely cared for every time I walk in. The coffee is exceptional, the cakes and food are consistently top-notch — fresh, high-quality, and beautifully presented. Everything is incredibly hygienic and clean, and the soft classical music in the background adds a touch of elegance to every visit. Casino Bern isn’t just a café or restaurant — it’s the best in Bern, and a place I will cherish forever. Thank you, and for Leo and Carmiella, for making it feel like home every single time.

Service was great, very friendly. The food we had were too salty for my friends and my taste. I had to drink lots of water. The cabbage soup was way too sweet for me and wasn't able to have more than 3-4 bites. LOVE the food presentations though.

Elegant dining in a beautiful building. Particularly the monthly "blunch" (their version of brunch) is highly recommended. Rich and tasty selection of cold and hot dishes, cheeses, breads, and desserts. Beware that drinks are not included. Fast and friendly service.

What a nice spot to stop in for a light lunch or a dessert and coffee. The service was friendly and helpful and we very much enjoyed the food and the ambiance.

A real gem! Pity that I never tried it when I lived in Bern (for four years!), but on a visit back to the de facto capital city of Switzerland, we decided to try out this place and I found to my delight that it is not a “casino” per se, but rather a wonderful restaurant. Cannot rave about it enough! The food was delicious and elegantly presented, and the service was prompt, attentive and professional. Would definitely recommend for a decent dinner out. Will be back on my next visit to Bern in summer of 2023!
