Nice décor. The weekends it's lively often with shows and such. Free drinks bar self serve (soft drinks, coffee). Booze is at the bar $ The arcade is meh, more expensive than elsewhere with a card and pt system. You can redeem pts for some cheapie toys or snacks. Not enough cheaper table or digital ones for stuff like blackjack where there is still a little bit of a social aspect of playing with other real people. Can get a little lost and confusing in there. There is also a place to buy food and a canteen.

Very similar to Lac Leamy casino in Hull. QC, I attended with a friend. I'm not a gambler but just went for the night to look around but I am a musician and singer. The bands from Montreal are always top Notch!!!! No exceptions here.. If you want to hear great music! The saxophonist was phenomenal!!!

The Casino de Montreal has a unique and impressive location, set on an island surrounded by water and separated from the heart of the city, which makes the arrival experience memorable. Inside, the gaming machines are clean, well-organized, and visually appealing. However, despite the polished look, I expected the overall atmosphere to feel more exciting and energetic.

Beautiful casino with super helpful employees. I asked an employee if they had a specific video poker machine and right off the top of their head, they gave me directions right to the machine. We had a great time!

My friend from Vancouver was joking with a joker — lol! Anyway, this place is amazing and relaxing, especially with their refreshing drinks and tasty treats. People should definitely come here often!

Gorgeous casino. Truly a marvel to see. Tons of games. Tons of slots. My only gripes are that the only crabs table isn't a conventional crabs table. It's digitized. The other gripe is you don't get free drinks while gambling. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Montreal though. Very cool!

I had a great group experience visiting the largest casino in Canada. The games are plentiful and exciting, the atmosphere is incredible, and the free soda-coffee-juice bar is fantastic. The casino is relatively clean and the music there is fantastic unlike clubs and other casinos.

Great music and vibes. The drinks are good and priced kind of high but that’s to be expected. The program where you get 15 dollars to gamble for free if you’re a new member is nice. Overall, it’s worth visiting for the experience and for the building itself.

recently went with a group of friends to the Sunday brunch buffet at the Montreal casino, and overall, it was a fun experience. The atmosphere is modern and spacious, with a lively vibe from the casino floor but still a relaxed enough setting to enjoy a leisurely meal. Video Review will be posted on Tik Tok and Instagram soon @Foxyappetite The variety of food was impressive, covering all the brunch essentials--scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sausages, fresh pastries, and even made-to-order omelets. We especially loved the pastries (the croissants were perfectly flaky) and the dessert section, which included decadent cakes and tarts. The Asian station was a nice touch, though not as extensive as the other options. Everything was pretty fresh, though some of the hot items like scrambled eggs could have been a bit more moist. Service was friendly, and our drinks were refilled quickly. It's a little pricier than your average buffet, but considering the quality and variety, it felt worth it. If you're looking for a fun Sunday brunch with a mix of classic and more adventurous dishes, I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you're planning to hit the casino afterward.

This place was...interesting...I have been to casino's before and this has to be one of the least entertaining casinos. On a weekend night, they only had one bar open, only selling canned drinks. Every machine and table were taken. The food area seemed to be "cafeteria" food and it didn't seem appetizing at all. There was a buffet area of some sort if you had the specific players card, but I didn't have that at the time. The DJ area was really cool, and the music being played was awesome!! Overall, it was an interesting experience, but probably wouldn't go back.

Very underwhelming casino. It was difficult entering the casino grounds and parking garage as there weren't enough signs or not clearly labeled. There were a pathetic amount of restaurants. I only saw a buffet and a grab and go type area. Even a tiny casino where I live in Lincoln, RI that's half the size has so many options from a food court to find dining. However, the inside is pretty clean and the design of escalators in the center is pretty cool.

Stopped here while in the area for the Canadian GP. Last year, it was not really open to F1 attendees, but this year - was accessible and really came up huge on Saturday when the torrential downpours started and people were looking to get out of the rain. My main issue was the roulette wheel being scrambled from the numbers I usually play - coincidentally I didn't notice until I had money out and got absolutely smoked. Multiple floors, cool bars on each level, and a variety of tables and slot machines. Got my chip(s) and headed out. Recommended on a weekend not when 345,000 people are on the island.

My mom wanted to come here on a Friday night. I already know it would be full and that I was going to lose my money. Once we got there we had to park at P6. The customer service a good 30 minutes which makes sense so I cannot complain about that. There's quite a few free drink sections with an attendant who makes sure the place is clean and tidy. Warning: they do not serve anymore coffee lids! Talk about a danger hazard! We went to a smaller section. I lost my money and called it a night. The do have a band that is next to the bar. The crowd are always having a great time dancing and singing to the lyrics. the band on the other hand could have been better. I have seen many bands perform there. There are no clocks. One you walk around for a bit, hear the machine ringing and watching people invested in gambling -2 hours have already passed.

I am no Casino enthusiast, so this review may not be what you seek. This review is about other things apart from the betting. I would say it uses a basic formula for playing slot machines but some floors have cool betting tables for craps and roulette. They do have an ok Arcade section for those unwilling to bet. The dancing place looks very fun and they have free trials. Bars are ok equipped. Beers are not their strength, but you may get a decent cocktail. The ambiance is pretty weak, so come with a fun attitude. Service could improve.

December 2022 - COVID Review: What a beautiful casino! I loved that it was a circle so that you could walk the whole floor and not have to turn around to go back. There's a lot of live table options and electronic game versions as well. It's nice that there's so many free drink stations throughout the different floors. One of the downsides was that since it's located on the (man made) island, the traffic to get to and from the casino can get really backed up. We spent most of the time in our Uber just sitting in traffic.

We checked out the casino to kill time for a few hours while on a bachelor's weekend in Montreal. Not the nicest casino by any means, but seems like it's got all the basic games. Multi-level, which is nice, but also a little confusing. Also maybe i'm used to American casinos, but I was looking for more bars and dining areas. Maybe I just missed the main food court area.

The Montreal casino is no longer an exciting place . The staff were are not friendly nor interested to speak English !!! It seemed they like you were bothering them if you did not converse in French. They have taken away a lot of the tables . There was only 4 Black jack (21) tables - min $25 bet . No more crap tables . We had fun playing the slots and the electronic dice games. It was the company that made the night fun.

What a fun place to be especially in the winter. This casino has total of five levels with four levels are accessible to customers. Customer services at the bars, call check-in and service counter were very friendly. The only downside is that they don't have too many restaurant choices . On the top floor, there are two restaurants. One is buffet the other one is casual dining.

Such a fun time!! Hubby & I went because our MTL passport gave us free $25 gaming credit each. First slot machine I played I won $170!! (LOL). My husband used his $25 at a Blackjack table and won over $200+. Lucky night for both of us. What's great about this hotel is that it's non-smoking! I loved that. There's also a self-serve bar for non-alcoholic drinks on each level. Super convenient as opposed to waiting for a waiter to come and give you water, then having to tip them. This casino is BIG. There's 2 separate sides, as well as 7 floors. All restaurants are on the 5th floor. There's also a drawing at 8pm & 10pm, Free to enter. Location is kind of tucked away. We took the 777 bus from the Biosphère off of St. Helens Island, then took an Uber going back home. Overall fun place, we'd come back again to win more money lol.

This was our third new year's at the casino and probably our last. First we weren't able to get in because our tickets wouldn't scan at the entrance. Hence we spent some time at the customer service counter. Then they didn't give us our bracelets for a free drink. Thus, we spent more time and effort trying to get the bracelets for the three of us. They insisted on placing the bracelets on our wrists themselves so we had to search the casino for my mother in law,,with a casino employee in tow, in order to place the bracelet on her wrist. Incidentally, the free drink offer had been reduced to wine/beer or a simple alcohol and juice. If you want something a little fancier then you got to pay! On the plus side, the buffet dinner didn't disappoint. However, overall the casino was over crowded, there were long lineups for drinks and the usual ugliness that comes with too many people. For the price, I think we'll go back to a restaurant experience next year.

Covid and the lockdown seem to have damaged the Casino permanently, especially in terms of customer service. Forget about any loyalty with the Prestige Plus points systems. Despite cutting their hours and staff and eliminating customer service for about 5 months, they showed zero flexibility with their points thresholds and deadlines to accumulate points. If you were a senior citizen, you saw reduced daytime hours, closed-off pavilions, and a non-existent Customer Service department. Now that the strike is over, are things much better? Not from what I can see. Limited food service, absolutely horrible service from disgruntled employees, the same dreadful parking nightmares, and more slot machines offline that I can remember. Do yourself a favour and go to a Mohawk casino instead.

Sept 02, 2018 - the casino isn't far from where we are staying, so we decided to pop in. It was easy to find. It really is no different from any other casino I've been too. But it wasn't as busy as Woodbine Casino or Ajax Downs Slots. I liked this casino cause there was a lot of walking room and very good space between machines. At the other casinos it's hard to walk through the aisle.

Very lively Casino infrastructurally designed upwards so that the fiesta and music from the ground floor travels all the way up throughout the entire Casino! I loved the overall atmosphere here, from the giant statues of the Queen/King/Joker to the dancing employees and the live band. There's a good variety of slot machines as well as other table games and the Casino is generally well-kept and clean. Would recommend you check this one out if you're into gambling or even just for the experience of walking through it!

Hum ... The Casino de Montréal is a magnificent building, a real architectural jewel which, in my opinion, is badly located, but that's another debate. I went there on a Thursday afternoon to attend the Bulles & Whiskey Festival which was taking place at the Cabaret. To get there, I had to cross the Casino on several floors, and let's say that this walk kinda cut my motivation in half. From the entrance what struck me was hum ... Why are there zombies, sorry people on slot machines at this time of the day? I found it really sad, you could clearly see that they were there by addiction, it surely did not make me want to party on the above floors. I probably will not be going back soon, as I did not like the contrast between the magnificence of the building and the people stuck in their addiction, but it's something to visit at least once in a lifetime.

before you take all of the time and effort to get all the way out here: this casino does not have a craps table. how could that be?! it's like the one thing that makes a casino ambiance fun and exciting and social. they had a few ridiculous little mechanical/video "craps" machines but they were offline and out of service. i walked right out the door and went home with the $2000 i had just withdrawn from the atm still in my pocket. total waste of time. oh and get this: no free drinks. no drinking anything at all at the tables. and no liquor at the bar? ask for a gin and tonic and they'll offer you some sick concoction in an aluminum can. what a joke.

I am a total sucker for flashy lights and games and so I love slot machines. I don't understand them, I don't know what I'm supposed to be watching out for, but I love watching the images turn and seeing if I won anything. I lowkey might have a gambling problem because I love slot machines so much. However, I never bet more than 5$ and I only visit once a year. I find it amusing that most of them are racist/sexist (anime girls with big boobs, panda's, a crude drawing of a cartoon mexican man holding a taco, etc). It really bums me out that it's all cash/cash card now. There are no more slot machines that accept coins. I've only ever been to this Casino so I can't really compare it to anything else (I could compare it to movie Casino's but those are unrealistic standards) but I like it! It's not the fanciest place ever but there are free drinks, it's huge! (Idk how many floors), and you get 5$ on your first visit if you sign up for their VIP card (Which is gold and has your name printed on it). Now I just need to make a friend who loves going here as much as I do.

Came to the casino with a friend on my second time in Montreal. I don't even know that this casino exist until my friend told me. So we came in we walked around and try to be familiar with the place. The place was huge and the lights were so cool! They got free drinks on the counter like soda water coffee whatever you choose. Which is pretty good and most of the casinos have it too. The interior of the place was really nice they have purple and blue LED lights to decorate the place and the bar which is in the middle of a think it was the second floor of the building was really nice and the bartenders right nice too and they have live music playing somewhere in the first floor for like maybe until midnight or earlier than midnight people in there really friendly and accommodating as well. I didn't stay that long since I had to be back to BostonEarly in the morning the next day. Had a great time in that place and would love to come back next time when I have a lot of money to spend

Montreal's biggest Casino! Located on the island that has the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve! That where they host the Montreal Formula One Grand Prix! As casinos go, this one is older than your typical Vegas casino but I don't think Canadians care a whole lot about gambling. My luck here wasn't great but since I don't wager heavily on slots it wasn't a problem. Roulette seems to be king here with the most presence on a large floor. Black Jack table minimum is 25 although there were also tables with $50 minimums. I liked it overall. Good options ranging from$15 and up to $$$ or $$$$. One thing they have here that I have never ever seen in 1000 trips to casinos are the FREE drink kiosks! Wait what? Free cups, ice, soft drinks and juice. Or coffee, water, or tea! That's nut's! That was great! The slots are like anywhere else. You're probably not going to win. In fact, if you do, you're extremely lucky! After the race, we stopped in, ate and played a couple of games. They had a decent breakfast also. Just the right play before heading to the track!

Always fun ringing in the new year at the à casino de Montreal! I've been going for 3 years straight and it's always a crazy party for all ages (18+ of course). If you're out of ideas on what to do for the new year, I suggest giving this a gander. There's party hats, light up glasses, light up headbands, DJs, dancers and everything you could want to light up the party! There are restaurants you can come eat, there is always a line up unless you have a reservation. Pros:Free water/juice/soda/coffee Free shuttles to take you to and from the parking to the casino. Great music/DJ One downfall I've seen every year is how crowded it gets! It gets so packed on the main floor level that sometimes you can't even move! People will step on your feet or vice versa. And most of the time you'll have nice people who apologies, but other times you encounter such rude people who think their entitled to just push and run right through everyone, causing people to push each other and almost fall. One thing I would suggest is finding another way to manoeuvre the beverage line. The line of where to enter and where to exit needs to be controlled. Also having lids for the drinks would be great. While people are making their way through the crowd, there's a huge chance they'll spill their drink on someone with no lids. Squishing through multiple crowds with hot coffee cup in your hands is a law suit waiting to happen lol! Despite those people it's a ball during the countdown to a new year.

Very nice place. We used to go for their shows and dance floor. We went many times when there was the drag queen show. Also I tried their restaurant it is amazing. Food is very good and reasonably priced. We don't gamble but the atmosphere and ambiance of the dance floor was amazing we had soooo much fun

Things have changed. For the worst. This has become the McCasino. They'll let anybody in, sandales, flip flops, swim trunks, etc... I know I'm coming across as a snob but shouldn't there be a dress code. It looks like your neighbourhood public pool. There are few overcrowded restaurants on top. Long slow lineups with limited choices. There's always the premium restaurants which I haven't had a chance to try. Visiting them might change my mind on the food options but not on my view of this Casino.

Girls night , my friends invited me for dinner as my bd celebration . Environment not bad but food soso. Maybe we wasn't ordered the right food . Called two bottle wine , the first one wasn't taste good , intention to change another bottle but server seems very unhappy and explained it's our own choice stuff like that . after a while . Finally decided to change us another one , even the second bottle intend us to pick the same bottle maybe he scares if we will exchange again ? it's not the attitude i kind like which usually famous resto all does exchange it if the wine taste wasn't hit your flavor . Food is just typically how french style it is but not with it own character. All thought I d rather go to 67 pavillon as a cheap price many choice food as my personal opinion.

The casino was fantastic. Unfortunately I lost some money but the bar service was terrible. Took me 45 minutes to get three shots. This is bullshit.

One of Montreal's only casinos won't get style points for wow'ing the crowd, it is still a good option for the gambling minded Canadians (and their visitors) in one of the finest nightlife cities in North America. A few years ago it underwent a mini makeover, one that cost close to 300 million in updating the joint so that it would stop looking so antiquated. There are no hotel rooms here, just a shuttle that can take you to any of the nearby ones they partner with. Like a small casino, it's considered more boutique than mega resort. With only a couple thousand slot machines and a decent showing for table games, the gaming scene is decent. Quebec folks love their blackjack, as there are more blackjack tables than anything else, including poker. One of the things North American casino go'ers will notice is the fact that gaming areas won't serve complimentary alcoholic drinks but will do it for all others. This means a coke is fine, but with rum it's not. Something to note for you players out there. The food scene is a bit bleak, as there is only a couple of delis / cafes, buffets (La Bonne, "The Buffet"), a French spot in Nuances, and an Italian joint called Via Fortuna. The food is just okay; I imagine these establishments aren't a big draw for outsiders as it is for casino patrons who just want to eat. My vote is on La Bonne (http://www.yelp.com/biz/buffet-la-bonne-carte-montr%C3%A9al-2) but that's not really saying much. If the itch is there to play, Casino de Montreal is there for the taking. I imagine for us night owls running about in the city, it is a decent entertainment option that never closes. I love 24 hour spots.

This casino in Montreal is quite popular. It is housed in a tall structure, and I believe it has 5 floors. The 5th floor is all restaurants. The restaurants were all closed by the time we arrived at the casino. The casino has all the games one would expect. Plenty of slot machines and table games. I left with more money than I came in with which is always a good thing. There are no beautiful women to offer you drinks while you play. This is not Las Vegas. What they do have is a complimentary beverage bar. You can help yourself to their fountain drink machine, coffee machine, water machine, and some juices as well. Very cool indeed!! The evening we were there, a band was playing and singing. It was nice to watch and listen to the entertainment while gambling. If you are a tourist, then I would not call this Casino a "Must Visit" destination in Montreal. I only go here cause my relatives love coming here.

Lovee how this place is filled up with an insane amount of Oxygen to keep you awake and how there's no clocks anywhere so you completely lose track of time and it can get very dangerous but for me it's just a fun way to come with friends get a drink. I have to mention they make the best piña colada's by FAR!!! It's a beautiful place very spacious and wild. With lots going on i mean LOTS! I love playing Blackjackkkk and testing my luck! The buffet is very fancy and inviting. The fact that the place is never closed is also a huge bonus. However, it would have been great if their restaurants were open 24/7 as well.. What a shame. Overall, if you're feeling lucky and want to test your luck I definitely recommend this place by far to have a great time. Be vigilant and don't gamble all your money away ahahaha!!

This is a great way to kill off a few hours if you are tired from all of the walking in the downtown area, but if you are looking to be a big winner, this is not the place. The free shuttle was very convenient once we were sure the spot we were waiting was the right place (we called). The casino itself is very attractive and has a three part design that links together in different spots. They are no clear signs (in French nor English) directing you to the area for obtaining a card. I asked an employee, and was given instructions.The promotions desk employees were pretty friendly, but thats were that ended. As for the rest of the employees, not the most helpful, more aloof than anything else. I tried to oder a drink from the machine on three separate occasions to no avail. I played with the promotional credits (5$ cad) and they were gone in 3 spins on a penny machine, with the minimum bet. Magically, when I put in actual dollars the machines were fine, paying out a few dimes at a time. My bf had better luck when he took out his card and played without it. He ended up breaking even after a few hours of play. The nicest part of the place was the free drink stations and the friendly patrons that were obviously regulars. The restrooms were spacious and mostly clean. If I return, maybe it will be in the expo space in other areas.

I'm a local and this is apparently Canada's biggest Casino. Been to Vegas... doesn't hold a candle. Anywho... haven't been here in a few years and it is always changing. Biggest change I enjoyed was the music and atmosphere. Before it was CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING CHING until you got used to it or LOST YOUR MIND... now.... it's atmospheric music or actual songs to listen to. I truly appreciated that. Parking is free. Heated too. That's huge and honestly, quite convenient. Love the fact you can come here for shows as well, always something going on! They have a lot of restos and many of them from well-known chefs! Multiple floors, easy to get lost here but there's always a discovery to be had. Many game types are available! Staff is polite and cordial. Game dealers, same thing but more reserved under the watchful eyes of the MAN. Free drinks. Chill environment. It's not exactly placed at a convenient location if you're a tourist without a car and as a local.... I'm never a fan to drive out this far. But it's pretty and a great thing to do once in a awhile...with moderation.

Couple of suggestions from someone who has been at casinos all over the world. Exiting is a nightmare for a tourist, no signs, no directions, and mystery stairway path to where ubers are allowed to park. Think beyond your local guests and those that have never been before and make it easy for them. Coat check, same line to drop off as to pick up your coat? It is 2019 figure out that makes no sense and does not add to the customer's experience.

In a past life of adult times I came here with my former love as we arrived early into the city of Montréal, Canada without getting into traffic to visit my friend along with her husband. Casino de Montréal was a good hang-out spot killing time while we await for the close of the business day for my friend to finish her work day. This casino is operates 24-7-365 to patrons aged 18 and older. It is a non-smoking casino which as a non-smoker myself I am very glad. I rate it four stars as it does not appear hustling busy.

It's a hike from downtown. From Chinatown to the casino is about an $18 cab ride because you have to go around islands to reach it. Big casino, with multiple floors of slots, plus craps, roulette and other table games. It's like a European casino in that you aren't allowed in with coats or large bags. For some reason the coat attendant asked us whether there was food in the bag that we checked. No idea why that would matter. Great staff. I asked a slot attendant whether they had a specific machine. She told me which floor it was on and where it was. Every kind and design of slot that you could hope for, including all-electric and manual. The roulette dealer was fantastic. He heard me explaining the rules to my friend, so he jumped in with the history of roulette, and why there are differences between the Euro and North America wheels. They only have one NA wheel; the rest are Euro. There is a bar with live music on the lowest level, but the sound travels to all levels because of the atrium design. Swanky bars with comfortable seating. Discount cocktails on Sunday and Monday! Martinis (including cosmos, appletinis, etc.) are less than $10 on those two days. Weirdly, alcohol can't be ordered while gambling. Not sure if you are even allowed to drink while gambling, although spectators are fine. There is a self-serve beverage station with pop, juice and water, but you have to use their cups, not personal refillable bottles. Never been to a casino where they *didn't* want the patrons to consume alcohol. Probably some odd bureaucratic regulation that is the hallmark of Québecois governmental administration.

I stopped by the Casino de Montreal - the largest casino in Canada. I had mixed feelings about the place: - Location: bit of a pain to get to via mass transit - it's on a small island to the east of the main island of Montreal. I didn't see any easy bus or metro options, so I had to uber it each way ($19CAD each way from downtown). - Setup: my uber driver explained to me that this wasn't originally built as a casino (it was originally a convention center for the Worlds' fair back in the 60s)...and it definitely showed. In Vegas and Atlantic City, the casinos are sprawling structures that stretch out horizontally - in contrast, this casino was vertical - a large lobby and 4 circular floors overlooking the lobby. Each floor was relatively small (since the slot machines and table games were limited to the outer edge of the floor), and if you wanted to go up you had to take the stairs/escalator each time. - Games: granted I went right in the prime of a holiday weekend, but it was a little annoying that the cheapest blackjack games were $25CAD per hand. I typically play $15-$25 hands in Atlantic City, but that day in Montreal I only had $100CAD on me, and didn't want to sit and play at a table where each hand was 25% of my wallet. - Food: the buffet on the 5th floor was good, and there were a couple of other restaurants on-site (also on the 5th floor) It's worth visiting if you tie it in with a trip to the buffet or one of the other restaurants. Otherwise, you'll already be ~$40CAD in the hole from the uber trips alone.

Wow I feel bad for you Canadians. You guys really don't know about casinos. I have been to Las Vegas and to compare them isn't possible. It is like comparing a child's drawing to a Van Gogh. I just wanted to check it out because it was super popular for visitors so I can make my own opinion of it. Inside reminded me of a Dave and Busters for some reason. This place is not classy and they do not serve free drinks. Even the bartender makes weak drinks, and COMPUTERS CONTROL EXACTLY HOW MUCH ALCOHOL IS DISPENSED After the fact, I would recommend people that have been to Las Vegas NOT to go here. Seriously, the WORST casino in Las Vegas is better than this place. There are other nicer tourist things to see/do. Go check out the Botanical Gardens instead.

We actually went to the island for the circuit, but thought since we were there already, might as well check out the casino. To get there, you take a short walk from metro station and take the STM bus no 777. You'll know where to wait for the bus , just follow the senior citizens. This is not a 4 or 5-stars casino, it was just a decent size gambling place with so so interior in a lonely island.

Came here about a year ago. Wanted to make a quick stop before leaving Montréal. Couldn't really find the holdem tables so my friend and I decided to hit the black jack table instead. The exchange rate at the time killed us. The casino didn't necessarily give us the best exchange rate on the table either. So we needed to give 110 dollars roughly to get 100 Canadian dollars on the table. Played for about 20 minutes and was up 200 dollars. Asked for it back in US dollars, and they would not exchange it. They tried to get me to travel to a bank outside of the Casino but since it was late Sunday afternoon.. There was nothing opened. Ended up using most of it at the Duty Free shop. The casino was nothing grand or special from any other casino I've been to. The prices for the table games were also very expensive and not much lower stakes for us poorer people.

I was so excited to go to the Casino de Montreal because all the beautiful pictures. I was imagining having to dress up fancy so I kept trying to look up the dress code online with no luck. I later on talked to a local who said "you dress just how you like. Doesn't really matter." I decided to wear a dress. Walking in, I felt as though I was over-dressed. The only other casino that I've been at was the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, which is OK. The place looked like it was going through a lot of construction, because some escalators were turned off, hall ways had temporary walls up as well. Walking through the tables area, there are your typical gambling stereotypes in the movies. Just don't expect anyone that looks like James Bond all suit and tie or tux. Went to a bar there. It looked nice, but of course, expensive. Base and vodka (similar to Red Bull and Vodka) was $9. Free stale chips to go along though. Old people everywhere who are missing teeth, walkers, visors, and a coil card holder. Everywherrrrre around the slot machines. Not really impressed. What a shame.

I'm in a holding pattern. I'm keeping them at 5 stars. With the remodel of the restaurants and parts of the casino, the buffet is no longer open for lunch, except for the Sunday brunch. It is now mostly a dinner buffet and is called "Pavillon 67 - Buffet Gourmand." Ooh-la-la. It is priced accordingly. That is, $26.95 CDN today translates to $25.25 in U.S. coin, pre-tax and tip. The lady on the phone reassured me that the quality was top-notch and it's sort of hard not to believe a lady from Montreal with a cool accent. Let's see.

The floors are rather confusing and the slots are very tight. And that is my only real complaint about the place but it is a big one. We came in with half a dozen guys trying different slots and no one won a dime on them. Don't bother with them. The roulette or black jack tables are a much better choice. As for the place itself, it is very easy to get there, they have a bus and sometimes even a subway (when it works) that will take you right to the front door. (I am sure no kickbacks are involved with that.) The location is friendly and clean and everything looks nice. They have tvs everywhere, even in the slots themselves showing off the local entertainment which is a nice touch. Free drinks everywhere which is a nice perk but I could not get over the feeling like I just paid $30 in slot losses for those drinks.

My first visit to Canada and therefore to Montreal! SO this is a brand new casino with a tonne of perks to begin with. It is located about 15 minuted drive from downtown Montreal. Its a fun space to be in and with crazy amount of options and not super crowded. We literally found place at every table we went to. Humongous slot machines, if you are into it. I saw a woman win $2000 in slot!! Not great many food options but there are free self serve drink vending machines which have a tonne of options. Also, remember to open a card when you enter the space as you get free canadian dollars to spend on your first couple of visits to the casino.

I signed up for a players card, which came preloaded with $5. Played the wheel of fortune and won $500. Don't cost me anything.

I'm not the biggest gambler, but since some of my friends are we usually make a stop out to the Casino for an afternoon whenever we're up in Montréal. When in a casino, I'll usually play a few hands of Blackjack to get a complimentary drink or two while my buddy is doing "serious gambling." So needless to say I was a bit surprised by some of the practices here. I'm not a smoker, so the fact that they don't allow smoking on the gaming floor isn't a issue with me, but I do drink and besides that it's always seemed better for business to allow it. But they don't. You can only have drinks in designated bar areas. There are also windows and clocks... so for those of you that are use to Vegas style casinos, this might seem a bit strange. Aside from that, it's a decent casino. The layout is nice and not too confusing, which always helps.

I was expecting a beautiful casino with Montreal advertising it so much. I was kind of disappointed. First of all it's shockingly small. It reminded me of a 5 story business circular building with the middle open. There was not much to do but play slot machines, Keno, and some table games. The decor seemed to me kind of old fashioned, the buffet was less than tasteful, and really not many choices of restaurants to speak of. I believe the only choice open when we went was the buffet but we did go on a Monday afternoon so maybe that's why other restaurants were closed. I did love that their indoor parking garage was heated. Helps when it's freezing outside! Perhaps after going to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods and Las Vegas I just was expecting too much.

Not your average casino, or at least what I'm used to. Its located across the bridge, tough to reach when the traffic is heavy. Once inside it's your typical Indian type casino we have in California. Definitely not Vegas style. All said and done they still took me down, guess I'm just a lousy gambler. At the time I was their they where remodeling the entire fourth floor.

Since my last review the casino renovated and opened their cabaret. I went to see the Burlesque show and I had and amazing time. Had tickets for the dinner as well and like always the service and the food was impressive. All you can drinks red and white quality wine. Cannot wait for my next show there l

This has become our 'home base' for F1 weekend. We love coming here for the buffet at Pavillon 67 for lunch. All bags have to be checked, so that sometimes slows things down. The bus sevice can also be a little slow so we always choose to hang back at the race to let the crowds die down.

Absolutely beautiful from the outside to the inside. Outside it looks like a Diamond when you are pulling up. We didn't valet as we utilized Uber to get there. There is a coat/bag check area and then you enter the casino. There are 5 levels of games and tables. If you can't find the machine of your dreams here I don't know where you would be able to. The buffet was great as well! Honestly it was like you were dining in a 5 star restaurant --the waiters just appear out of nowhere to take away empty plates and refill your drinks. If we were in the area again, we would definitely visit.

For someone who goes to Las Vegas on a somewhat annual basis and spends some money gambling there, I don't often visit the Casino de Montreal. I went when the place first opened over 20 years ago but haven't returned until recently. Back then because it was a novelty, I remember the table games being very crowded and it was next to impossible to get a seat to play blackjack. During my recent visit, there was hardly anyone in the casino at the day/time that I went (it was a Friday afternoon) so I managed to find a seat at the blackjack table to give it a try. I played a few hands but it didn't appear to be going well so I stepped away from the table and decided to walk around. I noticed that like the Akwesasne casino, the Montreal casino also has free self serve soft drink machines. I went to some of their video terminal card games and noticed blackjack there as well. However, unlike at the other casinos that I've visited in Las Vegas and at the Akwesasne casino, the video blackjack machines pay 3-2 for blackjack (and not the crappy 1-1 like every other casino that I've visited). I decided to sit down and play a few hands at the video blackjack machine. The minimum bet was $5. After playing a few hands and breaking even, I decided to call it quits and I felt that I should get back home. The casino is serviced by a direct bus that goes to and from the casino & metro station so it is very easy/convenient to visit even when you don't feel like driving (parking is free)
