If you get the chance to visit and see Caravaggio’s only ceiling painting it is well worth it—you get some bonus Guerchino frescoes as well, and the house as well as the history behind it is fascinating like so many things in Roma! I was able to see the house thanks to the Caravaggio 2025 show, who knows when it will be open again so take the opportunity if it arises!

There are three rooms open to tourists, only accessible if tickets are booked in advance with a guided tour. These rooms are Very authentic and have beautiful ceiling paintings by Guercino . However , the visit is overpriced as Euro 25.00 is a lot to see only 3 rooms. The famous frescoe by Caravaggio cannot be seen, neither the first floor or the famous staircase. The rooms are still worth a visit if you are interested in the style of residences of renaissance and papal history.

Amazing. For those who wish to see those parts of Rome that are off of the beaten track. In any other place it would be unique, it is remarkable for Rome too and the only fresco linked to Caravaggio is here! not to mention statues that you would see in museum that here are 'scattered' in the garden like flowers. The ensemble' and presentation, that also covers for the family's history, is indeed very interesting. Book in advance and enjoy the experience.

The princepessa was a gracious and charming host. We visited specifically to view the Caravaggio but she showed us many works of art, including multiple masterpieces by Guercino. A must-see for Caravaggio fans.

I viewed the Caravaggio works at this private Villa while staying at the Boston Hotel across the Street in 1990. Beautiful Villa with many masterpieces of Art!
