As a wedding photographer/videographer husband-and-wife team, we had such a great experience shooting here! The walkway to the entrance is surrounded by flowers, and against the Spanish style architecture, immediately feels so welcoming. Inside, there is a large area for both reception and ceremonies, connected to multiple private outdoor areas with intimate fireplaces and charming greenery, as well as glowing string lights and decor. We were able to utilize this space to its fullest throughout the day, and we were overall so pleased with all of our interactions with the staff, who were so accommodating and communicative throughout! We'd highly recommend if you're considering it as your venue!

Google
One of my favorite wedding venues in Orange County. I've captured several weddings here throughout the years and it never disappoints. The building itself is beautiful and the location is perfect with it being just a short walk to the beach. If you're searching for a place to say "I do", I highly recommend The Casino.

Google
Absolutely love how you can transform this space for any wedding or event! It's also walking distance to the beach, so you get that cool breeze, can hear the beautiful waves and walk down during sunset for some epic photos. As a wedding photographer, it's easy to appreciate this venue for how dynamic it can be and the natural beauty it has for weddings. An amazing option for all couples on the hunt! Google
What a wonderful place to get married! We photographed a wedding here and the place did not disappoint. You have the whole venue to yourself so it feels like your own private oasis. The beach is right near, literally walking distance, which made for perfect photos during sunset. The ceremony area in the back looked so charming. Inside is plenty of room for a big party and there's a stage for a live band which our couple opted to use. Beautiful place to get married at.

Google
This is a beautiful place that feels bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. But don't let that fool you... It's still a very cozy and inviting venue to host your event. The location is great and not really busy. The staff looked friendly and moved efficiently to keep the wedding going. We all had fun. Even the security started to boogy down at their post. If you're here at sundown, the sunset can make a nice backdrop. You'd have to try hard to find a part of this place that isn't photogenic background. Just be prepared to pay for parking. Meters surround the venue, and the nearby lots have pay boxes.

Google
We photographed a wedding here and immediately fell in love with it. The location is great, the beach is walking distance to change up the scenery and the Casino itself has many different areas where we could take the couple. Very pretty venue!

Google
Absolutely perfect SoCal wedding venue. Everybody at the venue is so easy to work with, the space is beautiful, location is perfect, and they helped us make our wedding day better than we could have dreamed of. 10/10.

Yelp
Overall an outstanding experience in a lovely location. Know in advance basically all parking is metered but there is plenty of it. $10-$12 for an entire event per vehicle. The outdoor areas inside and outside the property are very well cared for. I would say borderline immaculate. Baseboards and doors etc could use a little touch up painting and some carpet stretching but overall very good shape. I'm being picky. Didn't really use their tables but they had new chairs which was nice. The bar was well serviced and everyone had plenty of drinks (open bar) and the wine that came with it was very drinkable. We tried all the wines in advance and better than expected. Josh Cab & Pinot and Coppola Sav Blanc and prosecco. All were good. Had a berry mojito as the signature cocktail and it was also excellent. The staff that came with the Casino were all great. We planned a year in advance. I would say getting ahold of anyone on the phone or getting called back was a miss. Use email and the responses were usually better but this part of the experience was below average. In the end it all worked out. The venue had a cool stage that allowed for a surprise live performance from the bride and groom which was unique to this venue. Zero regrets for the decision to use the Casino. Very unique and cool. Lots of places on property for great pics.

Yelp
The Casino offers a really beautiful laid-back beach-side venue for couples. We loved the Mexican palms that roar California-vibes. It's like a cute little Mission (very San Clemente) for a chill, but sophisticated venue.

Yelp

When you have an event here they go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great time the food is always so delicious in the atmosphere is amazing. You can book any event for a wedding or a large party. Very close to the San Clemente Beach. And you actually can see the ocean from this property.

Yelp
Just a day ago Diane and I were guests here at a wedding ceremony, and the cocktail hour and dinner reception that immediately followed. I was very impressed with the venue. The outdoor wedding ceremony area easily held seats for 200 people in a green and wooded garden setting. And in a courtyard featuring an outdoor fireplace, circular high tables held drink glasses and served as good meeting places for informal conversations during the cocktail hour, while a full-service bar nearby featured skilled and friendly bartenders. Inside the capacious Grand Ballroom fortunate guests were served an 8-course Chinese feast at large 10-seat tables while being entertained by 2 Chinese dragons on the large dance floor below a small stage. If one counts the cup of Hot & Sour Soup I scored as an extra vegetarian offering, and a slice of Wedding Cake, I actually had a 10-course meal, in addition to the Pan-Fried Potstickers and other hot treats that were served earlier as pass-arounds by friendly servers. There was ample room for a DJ to lay down the beats, with outstanding acoustics; and the wooden dance floor had a smooth and appealing surface on which to show off one's best dance moves. Also factoring in the glamorous movie star history of this place, Casino San Clemente seems to be a great location to hold a wedding ceremony and reception, or other special event.

Yelp
We recently celebrated our wedding at The Casino this past September. This is an understatement but the venue itself is stunning - so much charm, history and beautiful Spanish architecture. Our guests loved it as much as we did. Property is very well maintained. Whether you're looking to have an intimate or large event, there's a variety of indoor or outdoor spaces and many available amenities to choose from. A big bonus is the location, which was an easy walk to/from the beach for sunset portraits. Cindy, the venue manager, was very easy to work with and extremely helpful with our many questions throughout the entire planning process. All the staff on our wedding day were kind and professional. This was by far the best decision we made to get married here and be part of history at the Casino. We're forever grateful. If you're looking for a one of a kind place for your special day, look no further!

Yelp
We had our wedding here on 10/8/2022 and it was absolutely perfect! We had our ceremony in the Rock Garden, cocktail hour in the Patio of the Stars and dinner in the West Wing. We had approximately 75 people and the setup was very comfortable space wise. Casino staff was very responsive and accommodating. The Casino has their own bar staff and handles the bar packages. We were very impressed with the bar staff, they were friendly and the cocktails were fantastic! Guests really enjoyed our signature cocktails (we went with the Old Fashioned and the Paloma). The Casino has a list of preferred caterers that you must choose from. We did tastings with all three, and they were all fantastic but ultimately we went with California Fresh and were very pleased. The Casino provided suggestions for other vendors as well, but the only vendor we were required to choose from their list was the caterer. The venue itself is a beautiful historic location with a ton of character and gorgeous views of the ocean across the street. Everyone had a great time, and our photos were fantastic. Finally, the pricing both for the venue and the bar packages were very reasonable, especially compared to other options in the area. I am so happy we chose the Casino for our big day!

Yelp
A super venue. We keep going for the music and and food venues. The jazz nights are super fun. The setting is historic and fun. While the pictures are of days past and our parents/grandparents era a super fun location to eat and have entertainment!

Yelp
Beautiful wedding venue! It is such a gem. I love that there are so many different options for rooms and spaces to use. Cindy was so helpful with organizing all the details for our wedding. And the bar staff with so friendly!

Yelp
Beautiful setting for a wedding or party celebration! Cool ocean breezes and a lot of history in this beautiful land mark.

Yelp
What a beautiful venue! My cousin got married here last weekend and we had an amazing time. The indoor and outdoor spaces were beautiful and it was great to have the ceremony and reception in the same location. The event ran like clockwork and the team made sure everything ran on schedule, especially with closing the bar promptly at 11 pm. :) The bride and groom seemed relaxed and were able to enjoy their special day, without worrying about logistics. I would recommend this venue to others, especially if they are wanting a professionally planned experience with hands-on event staff.

Yelp
2/16/2020 Wedding Let's start from the top. My wife and I were pretty close on selecting a wedding venue and had our top picks laid out. Well we took a closer look at Orange County region and came across this small cute beach town known as San Clemente. Upon browsing wedding venue options The Casino San Clemente was a standout. Once we browsed the grounds, heard the history and checked out the surrounding area we were sold. Who doesn't want to get married a minute walk from the beach?! We were fans of the overall Spanish vintage theme of the venue and the history of live music and theatre like productions occurring here (my wife and I met at a concert). The premises has three distinct areas for wedding type events (Rock Garden, Patio of Stars/West Wing, and Grand Ballroom) that are spacious and full of character. Thanks to all the associates we worked with as they were all helpful, easy to communicate with, and timely. From providing preferred vendors, assisting with parking permit set-up, bar clarifications, included furniture/table set-ups etc. On our wedding day everything came together perfectly with great weather and we couldn't of been any happier. All our guests enjoyed themselves and praised how beautiful The Casino and town of San Clemente was. They also really dug the great customer service provided by the bar. My wife and I took the time to quick chat and thank them for killing it on our night. Once again thanks Casino San Clemente and all associates for making our wedding truly special!

Yelp
As a wedding photographer, I love this venue! It is gorgeous, the outdoor ceremony area is beautiful! The variety of rooms, and scenery gives you so many options for stunning photos. https://www.jennymarkham.com/

Yelp
Very nice venue for my nieces wedding. Outdoors, near the beach. Reception area had plenty of room to mingle with other guests.

Yelp
Great experience from start to finish for our wedding on 6/18/21. We booked this place a year and a half ahead of time (before COVID was even a thing), and we're certain we made the right choice. Picturesque setting and just the right amount of space to not feel crammed, but not feel like it was empty. We worked with Cindy Boone, who was a pleasure at every turn. I would definitely recommend this venue for an event.
google avatar

Stephanie N.

Yelp
Beautiful location for events! The spaces are very open, not to mention how dreamy the outdoor spaces are.

Definitely great place for capturing pictures and having good time.

Yelp
My now husband and I got married here last weekend! When we first found the venue online, we both fell in love. I wasn't able to visit the location due to work, so my husband brought some of his groomsmen to check out the place. They all loved it, and my husband told me Jill was so helpful. I didn't see the venue or meet Jill until the final walkthrough a month before the wedding, but she was so great at responding to our many questions through e-mail. She was very patient with us and really clarified everything for us. We were able to do a wedding rehearsal the weekend before. Since we were only able to do it on a weekend, the venue was preparing for another wedding. But I'm so glad we were still able to be there and do the rehearsal with most of the wedding party. The day of the wedding, our coordinator and decorators were able to go in at 9 am to start getting things ready. I love that they had so much time to prepare! (The ceremony started at 3 pm). They were also given an extra hour after the end of the event to break things down. What I love the most was that the venue didn't need much decoration! The ballroom is beautiful in itself and was big enough for our almost 200 guests. I love that chiavari chairs are included. :D The dance floor was also a great size and fit everyone! The bridal room was GORGEOUS and a great place to get ready with my bridesmaids. The Rock Garden was also beautiful and I loved how the chairs were set up. I didn't get a chance to really see the West Wing or Patio of the Stars during cocktail hour, but the areas were beautiful and spacious when I saw them during the final walkthrough. One of our favorite things as well was that the beach is literally less than a 2-minute walk away! We were able to go out to the beach to take our couple photos during cocktail hour. Overall, everything was so wonderful and went so smoothly! Thank you, Jill and everyone at the Casino!

Yelp
Wow! What a hidden gem. My wife and I and some friends went to a jazz concert at the Casino last night. WONDERFUL. From the great greeting from Robyn up front to the personalized seating to the good grub. More than expected for sure. The music was tremendous and very professional. If I had more thumbs I'd give it more thumbs up. Linda was a most gracious host. Parking was easy and close as well. See you all at Casino San Clemente soon.

Yelp
What a unique and comfortable venue for a celebration! The Casino San Clemente had everything we needed and more. The location is spectacular, the venue is charming, the staff is friendly and professional and the recommended vendors were all amazing. Thank you to Linda, Cindy and the Casino San Clemente Team! You made the planning easy and your team made our company party run seamlessly. You made my job as the event coordinator simple and easy! This is a gem of an event venue - highly recommend!

Yelp
This venue was absolutely incredible. The proximity to the ocean without the restrictions was key for us. Our wedding (10/7/18) would not have been the same if it had been held anywhere else and it was a memorable experience for everyone involved. The only negative was that I got my wedding coordinator K.Sage (Kelsey Sage) from a list provided by the venue and she was an absolute nightmare to work with. When I reported this to the venue manager, however, she was willing to work with me and even offered to stand in as a coordinator the day of the rehearsal when it looked as though Kelsey was not coming. Between the staff who was kind and responsive, the incredible location, and the vast space it provides -- I absolutely recommend that you choose this venue for your wedding.

Tammy J.

Yelp
Beautiful venue, terrific live jazz, tasty food and great cocktails for an affordable price.

Yelp
We were guests at wedding. Fortunately, there wasn't a problem finding parking. I'm not sure if they have a parking lot. Everything was clean & well organized. We enjoyed the evening. I have no idea about rates or dealing with staff to organize.

Yelp
The hubs and I were invited to a gorgeous wedding at the Casino San Clemente. The setting for the wedding was just absolutely romantic! The ceremony was held outdoors in the romantically lit courtyard with chairs facing the fireplace and heated lamps surrounding the guests on a somewhat cold November night. Appetizers were located in the front of the building in an enclosed garden type setting with a fireplace and more heating lamps. The reception was held indoors and the lighting, chandeliers, flowers, etc. all combined to make the ambiance of the room feel intimate, warm, and welcoming. Such a beautiful ceremony/reception for two beautiful friends.

Leonora F.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous venue. The Casino was an extremely beautiful venue and Cindy and staff were incredible to work with. Very professional and helpful in every way possible to make our wedding vision come true. They calmed the nerves of a stressed out bride and created a beautiful event for us. Highly recommended! Yelp
My husband and I just had our wedding here and we are so pleased we did! This was the first and only venue we looked at because we knew right away it was "the one". Jill is currently the venue manager and she is SO helpful and accomodating, one of the many reasons we wanted the Casino was because of her! The staff, other than Jill, are also very friendly and helpful..made the weeks leading up to our wedding day and the day of a smooth sail. Every single one of our guests commented on how much they loved the venue and how perfect everything was! We recommend the Casino to anyone and everyone. It is such a beautiful venue and we couldnt have asked for a more perfect wedding day.

Susie Q.

Yelp
If you want a perfect venue for your wedding start here. From beginning to end, it was a seamless experience. Our family immediately fell in love with the unusual spaces and the history behind the Casino. The day of the wedding we were welcomed with organization, cleanliness, and everything we were promised to find. The fireplace was lit and everyone was working to provide a beautiful setting for the nuptials! We had lots of room for 215 guests to mingle and feel comfortable in the many spaces. I can't begin to say how pleased we were with the staff, security guards, bartenders and the director that created a relaxed day for our family. Thank you to everyone at the Casino!

Yelp
I was on vacation and found an online offer for a Jazz concert with dinner for $28! Ok, sure. Sounds like a blast. Since I come to this area at least once a year for vacation I was shocked to see the new outlet area and in my mind I rationalized that maybe they had built a new casino in the area. lol I am blonde- so I was thinking gambling casino! Just being honest. I decided to show up early to gamble some. HAHA oh well. Hubby said in text message- "It's like the casino in Catalina" which didn't help because I always thought that was a gambling casino too! lol unfortunately, getting there early was a mistake because parking is free after 6 PM (I was the only person that paid their meter anyway) but there was a nice farmers market across the street (on a Tuesday) and I enjoyed checking out there offerings. (Wish I had a ice chest for the fish!!) I met another patron and we chatted for a while in line with some others waiting to get it. The locals are sweet here! There was some shade, but it was super annoying that they opened late with all these senior citizens standing out in the sun in line! (not acceptable, large building and no one cares about sound check excuses- open on time) My other complaint was that it was one trip for food. I was early so I didn't know that you could load an entire plate with salad and then they would fill the second with the other stuff. Yes, the food was good! I am a plus size woman and I loved the salad. I would have enjoyed a larger serving of it and no dessert. lol Plus the way you have it set up, dessert is free for everyone. No ticket required for it and setting out leftovers in back of concert area. I LOVED the concert. I didn't plan on staying for the entire event but time flew by and I did. The singer noted out loud that it was a little warm. I would have opened up more windows or moved curtains so air could come in? While the artists were smart enough to have an email list to join- the establishment is not. Because of a man that we were sitting with we met the owner. She seems self occupied, maybe too busy? You are the most important face of the establishment, I feel you should be shaking hands and thanking people for being there. Pay someone to handle the other tasks and smile more! You are blessed with an awesome job- look like you are enjoying it. Some of us slave in crappy accommodations at work and do not make a fraction of what you probably do. Just my take on it. I could absolute imagine having a huge celebration here- it is lovely! I especially love the patio and fireplace. I would come back again and wish I lived closer. It was a great night overall!! You could have so many different and wonderful activities in this building daily for the community!! just blessed- and I am not sure you know it

Yelp
As wedding photographers, we get to work at many, many venues. The Casino is one that always gets us excited because of it's diverse use of space. From the gardens to the patio to that incredible ceiling in the Grand Ballroom, it's a unique and fun space to work. The staff has always been great to us & we always love our return visits to shoot.

Yelp
We photographed a wedding here and it was a classy event with an intimate garden are for the ceremony and beautiful ballroom for the reception. The cocktail hour was held on the patio, great details in the background of the historic casino. Unique place for a wedding close to the beach.

Yelp
We love this venue!!! If you are looking for a beautiful space with both a beach and vintage vibe this is your spot. The staff is incredibly professional and the service is excellent. There are so many gorgeous backdrops for beautiful pictures. The ceremony space is a dream and our guests loved all of the spaces. The casino was the perfect location to make our wedding dreams come true!

Yelp
My husband and I got married here in December and we could not have been more pleased with the venue and management. The venue is historic and unique, and very cozy. We loved that we didn't have to worry about transporting our guests from the ceremony to reception. The venue is already beautiful on its own so any additional decorations from your vendors only enhances the space and makes it more unique to you as a couple. Liz was so great to work with and very quick to respond. The pricing was so reasonable for the number of guests and location. Overall so pleased, we hope we get to go back as wedding guests someday!

Yelp
We looked at every venue in Southern California and nothing beat The Casino San Clemente. Micki is the absolute sweetest and was extremely knowledgable and helpful in setting up our special day. What is most fantastic about this venue is that you can have the ceremony outside, reception inside, cocktail hour on the patio all while remaining at the same location. It was by far the most convenient venue I had visited. When having an outdoor wedding, many places request that you put a deposit on a tent for rain or even the possibility of rain. It really is a lot of money to tie up in a "what-if" scenario. The Casino has a great indoor area as backup! No need to stress about anything. The venue is beautiful, the service A+, and the location is to die for.

Yelp
Wow! This place was so perfect! We were looking for a venue that screamed San Clemente...Spanish Village by the Sea. This place hit everything we needed. We had a Sunday wedding in the eve. We rented the Rock Garden for our ceremony, the patio of the stars for Cocktail hour, and the ballroom for the reception. It was soooo nice to not have to leave the entire time. The venue is large and beautiful. We didn't have to do much in way of decor because it already had the old charm and sophistication. We had the ballroom columns lit up blue and the dome of the ballroom lit up lavender. It was truly unbelievable. Aside from how perfect the venue is, the general manager Kelly was incredible. She was on top of everything. She handle so much for us with out us expecting it or asking. She knew exactly what was on my mind before I said it, came up with ideas before I thought it...she was great! She was such a superstar that day, that so many people complimented how great she was. She isn't a wedding coordinator folks, she is the general manager who I felt was so invested in making the day beautiful, smooth, and memorable. I can't even tell you how impressed I was with her. With the Casino of San Clemente you get two major things, the amazing venue and awesome staff. It was a hit with all of guests. They were impressed with every step of the evening. Thank goodness! It was a stressless night for me knowing we were in a solid location with a staff that was professional, courteous, and friendly.

Yelp
Perfect place for a "Vintage Chic" or "Southern California Beach" Wedding! Ocean and sunset views from the wood burning fireplace Patio. There's really nothing like it left in Orange County. (And No, it's not a casino, no bingo either! Just a name, sorry gamblers!) It's not for everyone though... If you're looking for glossy opulence, marble statues and gold leafing-- then cross this off your list! The Casino San Clemente is for the "edgy, non-conformative, subdued elegance" type Bride! Complete privacy too. No sharing your space with golfers or tourists (like at my wedding, Uggh!)
google avatar

Yelp
Went to a gorgeous wedding here last January. This place has it all. I believe Jay's Catering provides the good which made it a perfect night.
google avatar

Yelp
I wish I could give negative stars. I never had the opportunity to host my wedding at this venue as I chose not to because of the u professionalism of the staff. Micki is the venue manager... I called her and emailed her over and over and received no calls back or emails. Instead I received a text one day from her a few weeks later... A text? I hadn't even ever spoken to her! In addition.... My fiancé made an appointment to meet with one of the other ladies and we drove all the way down to San Clemente from Orange County, and she wasn't even there! So the girl who was there couldn't give us an pricing or talk about dates or anything. I wasn't able to get information via phone or email, and then not even when I went to visit the property! Such a frustrating experience I gave up and would not recommend this venue to anyone.
google avatar

Marlene T.

Yelp
Thank you Linda and Mickey for providing the absolute best backdrop for an intimate boutique wedding. From the time we got there until the time we left, it was spectacular!! Our guests were so amazed and most had never been there or heard of having an event there. The secret is out and I wish you many many more great occasions in the future. We will never forget it!

Yelp
Came here for friends' wedding and what a pleasant surprise. Nestled in San Clemente, about a 5-minute walk from the beach, Casino San Clemente is a very adorable wedding venue that exhibits all things California: photos of old Hollywood actors on the walls, Spanish-influenced architecture with red-tiled roof resembling California missions, and an outside patio with a beautiful view of the ocean. The ceremony took place in the back garden and comfortably seated about 80 people, with room for more. Cocktail hour was on the front patio, which was perfect for watching the sunset. The reception was in the Grand Ballroom, which has a dance floor and is very spacious. Sound system in the Ballroom was decent. The only downside to this venue is that it doesn't have its own parking lot. There is only street parking, which is metered daily. Overall, a very quaint wedding venue that made my friends' wedding even more memorable.

Chris W.

Yelp
Avoid this place at all costs! Terrible, rude staff, unorganized and sloppy service and set up. All around horrible experience for our event. Need to know where something is? Don't expect anyone that works here to walk you or to SMILE. These people are lazy, rude and don't know how to smile or be hospitable. Need to throw trash out after your event? Not gonna happen here. They made us HAUL OUR OWN TRASH AWAY! Miserable group of people that should all find new jobs. Thanks for ruining our special day and wasting our time, money and memories. I would like to be contacted by someone in charge of this venue please, you owe my family an apology.

Yelp
Really nice and elegant venue and very organized. We loved the old wold class feeling here. So much history. Wedding we attended was beautiful and perfect!

Yelp
I attended a wedding there a couple weeks ago. The wedding was fantastic and was the most fun I've had at a wedding in many years. I am complaining about their customer service, or lack there of. I believe I left a personal item there and have tried calling the business several times but nobody ever answers. It doesn't matter if I try during the day or night, during the week or on the weekend, nobody answers and it eventually goes to voice mail. I have left at least 2-3 voice messages, asking them to call me back. I advised them of what I lost and even if they didn't find it, a business with good customer service would have called. How many times does a person have to call this place before a "live" person answers the phone?? How many more messages do I need to leave with my name and number, asking for a simple call in return? This is terrible customer service and I would not recommend this place to anyone else just based on this.

Yelp
Beautiful spot blocks from the ocean! We went to their Christmas Jazz concert and really enjoyed ourselves! The owner was welcoming and very sweet with our kids. The food was delicious and the bar prices were great; $15/bottle of wine. It would have been awesome if they had room for dancing and maybe some sturdier tables, but no real complaints from us! Thanks for the great evening!

Yelp
My husband and I were married here just a few weeks ago. I honestly can't believe we almost passed on this place because I thought it was an actual gambling casino! (I've since learned that the term "casino" just means a place for social entertainment - and the Casino San Clemente has gone through a lot of social venue incarnations over its 80 year lifetime!) We had a Sunday wedding with a reception in the evening: Rock Garden for the ceremony, Patio of the Stars for cocktail hour and the West Wing for our reception. We went back-and-forth between renting the WW or the ballroom but for 90 people the ballroom was just too...spacey and big, we loved the idea of a more intimate environment - and the WW is just that. It may not be for everyone, but it felt cozy to us and it has these beautiful exposed, rustic beams and white washed walls (which were uplit with amber lights during the reception - stunning). Our dancefloor was the Patio, and it was perfect for an August evening. Dancing under the stars? Come ON! It did start to rain on us toward the end of the evening, but it was so warm that most everyone stayed out to dance in the drizzle (hey, they say it's good luck!) - and only when it started to come down a little hard did our DJ have to pack up his equipment. But it was a Sunday evening wedding, and by 9/9:30pm people are starting to leave anyway - particularly if they have a commute back to LA. This place is perfect for a couple looking for something with some character and history - it has that California-vintage quality, and the views from the Patio are stunning. The bridal suite here is so charming and great for pictures (we took some pre-ceremony shots here), and it has a private, BIG bathroom, a rolling rack for clothes and a private, back entrance with first-come, first-served parking spots (this was really useful for unloading). It's fairly roomy in the bridal suite too - there were about 12 people in that room milling around at one point! There is also a quaint groom's room (complete with mini-fridge) that's right off the ballroom. Bonus: Ellie's Table is a coffee shop that is attached to the Casino, on it's back side. It was perfect for coffee and gatorade runs throughout the morning. (The pastries there are delicious also.) I also appreciated that the Casino only does one event a day. I had been to other venues where the rooms of a venue were available for rent by multiple couples for the same day. The staff here on-site are great and very professional. The only thing I would bear in mind here is that in the event of inclement weather, the options at the Casino are limited to exactly what it says in the foul-weather clause of the contract - there is no wiggle or negotiating room here at all (unless you want to pay to wiggle ;) ). We had to consider changing venue rooms the night before due to thunderstorms (who could have predicted thunderstorms in California in August?!), and per contract we could move into the ballroom for the ceremony at no-charge, but if we wanted to continue using the ballroom for the cocktail hour (also outdoors) & reception (outdoor dancing), we would have to pay $500 (which we were informed was a discount from $800, I believe). At the time we vaguely understood the logic but it seemed a rather odd, dare I say grabby, response given the circumstance and given the fact that the room was no-charge one moment and then suddenly $500 just an hour later. Eh. Who knows. In the end we just stuck to our original game plan, and as it turned out things worked out great for us. Like most couples we still coo over how wonderful and perfect our wedding was. The inclement-weather "experience" with the Casino owners certainly wasn't the highlight of our experience there, but it definitely didn't sully the day (or evening prior, in fact) and it didn't affect our impression of the Casino at all - it's just something others should keep in mind when reading contracts, or working with vendors. And in spite of that roadbump, I would recommend the Casino for events - it's just so beautiful and the owners have done a beautiful job renovating it.

Yelp
I wish I could say that the customer service was as excellent as others have experienced here. Being a long distance bride, we were relying on clear communication from the Casino's coordinators. In starting to plan to book, there was miscommunication from the start between how the venue worded things to family members and how it was worded to me on the phone. We ended up having to change our wedding date to accommodate their Saturday Buy-Out policy. When we booked in March 2014, I had high hopes after personally visiting the venue and signing the papers. We started working with one coordinator who told us a lot of things about when we could access the venue before the wedding day, how we could adapt our contract, extend hours, etc. Mid-way through our wedding planning, the coordinator stopped responding and it was well over a month before I heard back from a new coordinator responding to my non-urgent question. This change in management led to even more miscommunication as to what was promised by the previous coordinator. Even with the new coordinator, our contract was not carefully reviewed for which rooms we had reserved. I was even told that the room I had chosen was supposed to have a construction project going on. These are not issues that a confirmed bride should even have to deal with. Most items seemed to be blamed on the previous coordinator, but not really rectified. It just felt like a lot of butting heads towards the end. I'm a very DIY person and a DIY bride. Getting the coordinator to understand that sometimes seemed challenging. The week of the wedding, yet another coordinator stood in, and luckily she was SUPER easy to work with. I wish she had been involved since day 1. My advice is get everything you say in writing, ask for a contingency plan, work out as many details as possible and get it confirmed ahead of time. Great venue, but still has some customer service to work on.

Yelp
We had our wedding here recently, and overall it was a really positive experience and I really recommend this lovely site for couples looking for someplace a little unique and off the beaten path. I think that it's likely up and coming in the wedding world, so I bet it'll be hard to book before too long if it isn't already! Anyhow, advantages are that they provide chairs (with seats available in both black and cream) and tables for the event, and they offer a kitchen, buffet area, bar area and a bridal room. You book the spaces (Rock Garden, Ballroom, Patio of the Stars and West Wing) individually, and we had the Rock Garden for the ceremony and the Ballroom for the reception. The Patio of the Stars is a wonderful spot for cocktail hour. They also have basic lighting and sound equipment available for a small fee. You'll still need to hire someone for lighting, unless what you want is very simple or understated, but it's worth checking in house first to see what they have. :) Everything went so smoothly-and I agree that there is little that you need here for decoration because it's a great space all on its own. We liked it for its retro, California feel that lent itself to elegant formality without getting too fussy. The staff are very experienced and they know what they are doing in terms of getting an event off the ground. Public parking is available on the street and also in the lot across the way for a small fee. We didn't need any permits or anything and our event was on a Sunday so we didn't run into problems with a full parking lot. Great spot, we're really happy to have found it.

Yelp
Friend and I were planning on securing this location for his wedding. Staff, including the owner were the greediest, unprofessional staff I've ever encountered. Stay away from these money hungry moguls!!!!!
