Google
We thought this hole in the wall place would be amazing. The small quaint restaurant made you feel like you weren't in the busy Dallas area. We were quickly seated and the food came out fast. We were highly disappointed with the food. The food was the most mediocre text mex food I have ever had. I think Taco Bell has better food. The food was lacking flavor. The most disappointing part was the watery refined beans. The beans literally dripped though the prongs of my fork.

Google
We tried this place for dinner recently and were impressed. There’s not a lot of seating inside, but it was comfortable. They also have a patio outside. The casita dip was a great appetizer. The enchilada dinner was delicious and filling. The Spanish rice was amazing. The rice was unlike the other Tex-Mex places in the area. The service was fast and the staff were attentive. We will definitely be back.

Google
Casita Tex Mex is a good place for those that want traditional Tex Mex. It has a typical menu, nothing really outside of the box. It's solid but the spices are incredibly light making this food pretty bland. If you like Gringo-Mex then this is absolutely your place. The Margaritas are good and the staff is very attentive. I would give the food a 3.5 but if you love very mild Mex you should give it a try. Big servings.

Google
It was my 1st time and the food was really good. The chips and salsa was very good. The service was very good. They never allowed my drink or salsa to go empty. Staff were very nice. I definitely want to go back and try some of the other options. Can't wait.

Google
Very nice inside. Comfortable seating. Our server was Kenya she was super kind, quick and kept a smile on her face. Her service was amazing staff is very attentive. Kenya kept our glasses full, checked in to assure everything was good, which everything tasted delicious especially their chips and salsa! Yum! The beef enchilada was flavorful the taco had a crispy shell fresh ground beef as well as the tostada. All staff was supporting each other and helping where needed. I can assume they have great relationships within. If you want great Tex-mex I recommend this restaurant. My family and I will definitely be back to try more of their menu items.

Google
Visited for the first time with my two sisters. We were seated quickly even though it was very packed. Our waiter was great! Chips and salsa were perfect. Perfect hot corn tortilla and salsa. They refill your chips and salsa as soon as your bowls get low. My sisters enjoyed their enchiladas and chimichanga. However, the brisket had no flavor. I ordered the chile rellenos, and I could not even finish it. I am a huge barbacoa fan, so I usually go for brisket anytime barbacoa isn't available, and I have never been so disappointed. The charro beans were also very bland. We all tasted the beans and brisket and agreed that they were flavorless.

Google
The workers do absolutely nothing while a table loudly screamed the entire meal. It totally ruined my dinner with my father. We have been coming here for many years. We are regulars but I am so disappointed this establishment would let hooligans come and disrupt the entire restaurant for everyone else. I don’t think I’ll come back :(

Yelp
Better than expected, the food was creative, and illustrated what a small business does, to stand out from its competitors. fajitas and margaritas were outstanding

Yelp
I'm obsessed with this place! The food is sooooo delicious. And the service is good. I would come back even if the service was bad, the food is that good! And the prices are awesome! The rice & beans are so good! I love the Acapulco combo. The breakfast was not my fav, the chorizo was not very flavorful. I also love the mango margarita. The ambiance is very welcoming & comfortable. You can tell this place has a lot of regulars

Yelp
Chips were warm and salted well, plus the salsa had a little bit of spice that was flavorful but not overpowering. The staff seated us immediately and were very patient. Our cups never were empty and we were always being checked up on. The flautas had a very nice helping of moist shredded chicken in them that was not dry or bland. The green salsa in the enchiladas was very fresh. Overall the charro beans were fabulous and the jalapeño added a level of spice. The overall ambiance was clean & had very pretty decorations like the tiled tables. The military dedication on the wall was extra special as well. Thank you for such a great experience Casita!!!

Yelp
So disappointing!! I used to come here as a kid and the food was amazing! It's gone soooo downhill. I ordered super basic taco and chalupa and first it came out with no cheese. What!!?? No cheese on a taco?? So I asked for some...and I got this nasty shredded velveeta like cheese. Even the server said it tasted like velveeta. DEFINITELY NOT shredded cheese you get at any other Mexican restaurant. Cheese was really bad. Processed cheese at a Mexican restaurant. Weird. I won't be back, sadly.

Yelp
Casual drive by in the area, we noticed many cars so we parked and decided to try and we were quite surprised how nice and good it was. It was Saturday night so it was full and they had live music and karaoke going on and everyone in the restaurant seemed to either know each other or just "very" happy maybe due to the margaritas ‍. The service was great. We were sure how to sit or wait for hostess but we were sitted right away plus they had a cute small patio that was full too. We ordered Carne Asada and a Willie Davis lunch combo the dinner version. The rice and beans were really good! The meat was a little chewy and had to chew for me personally but still good. We would definitely visit again. Rated higher due to music during our visit
google avatar

Yelp
The quality of the food at Casita is consistently good. The service is usually excellent, though we have had one visit where the waiter sort of forgot about us. Even so, this is one our regular choices for Mexican food in North Dallas!

Maggie O.

Yelp
We drive past Casita all the time and have wondered about it. So glad we finally made it in. Even better- we got hand painted margarita glasses & get $10 margaritas every time we return! So fun and different from other Mexican restaurants! Service was amazing! They had TVs and a nice bar too. Great weekday HH for $6 margaritas until 7 pm. Was surprised at how packed it got! Will definitely be back and will bring our glasses too!

Lynda M.

Yelp
Amazing! Best as always!!! Highlight of Dallas trip! Always so consistent and fresh.

Bryce W.

Yelp
Had driven by it for years and never ate here. Changed that about 6 months ago and now I'm here probably once a week. Some of the best queso I've found in Dallas!!

Blue H.

Yelp
Margaritas, enchiladas, tacos, rice, beans and chips were delicious. The service was great - filled chips baskets without asking for more. Cute restaurant and music was fun without being too loud.
google avatar

Yelp
Spinach Enchiladas are delicious Family Restuarant with live music on some weekends!
google avatar

Yelp
Great hidden gem! They have a great patio to sit on if it's nice. Food was pretty good - we split fajitas for one and it was enough food. Great taste, everything was fresh. Service was a little lacking, but nothing that can't be fixed. We will be back! Recommend the queso for an app!
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
Love this hidden gem from back in the Pete Dominguez days. Menu is same just as delicious as the 80's. Great bar and great service. Open seating and great music always playing.
google avatar

Yelp
I do not understand why when there are two tables in the restaurant one server has to work both tables. My husband and I sat an extra 20 minutes waiting for our bill. The management is disgraceful The food is very good

David Davidson ..

Yelp
We like this restaurant very much. The interior is nice and service is superb. We haven't eaten anything here we haven't liked. Cheese enchiladas, tacos al carbon, cheese chili rellenos, taco salad, and their salsa are all good. They have good breakfast also.
google avatar

Roman S.

Yelp
Love the owners! They were super hospitable to my girlfriend and I after hours. Jarrell and his staff go above and beyond to their customers- they made us feel like family immediately and treated us with so much care and attention, they made our night! We're exited to come back soon.

Yelp
I'm pretty sure the "*Available for Dinner" notation on the lunch menu means it can be ordered outside of lunch hours at a higher price, but my waiter just told me that I could not order the Mexican Salad Plate because it is Saturday. Seriously, it is guacamole, a taco, and a tostada with queso. What part of that is not available? After I'd ordered and received something else, a manager asked how I was doing. He offered to send me home with what I'd wanted in the first place, but I wasn't going straight home. He confirmed that the waiter was new and didn't understand the menu. I appreciate the gesture.

Taylor C.

Yelp
Came here as a last minute dinner as it was nearby bowling plans. Thought hey you can never go wrong with Tex mex.. boy were we wrong. I had the fajitas that came with chicken , beef , shrimp and sausage. The way everything was lacking flavor and seasoning my goodness I've never experienced this in my life.. from the amount of guests you would think it was a good spot but let me be real. It was mainly 50+ aged individuals and I can definitely see why. With fading taste buds I'm sure it isn't all that bad but it really missed the mark for me. My partner loves beans and doesn't usually discriminate he's happy with any but their charro and refried were horrible. Store-bought tortillas and we would know because we sat by the kitchen which the door constantly swung open on its own (might want to get a latch for that) so we saw them. Maybe the enchiladas and other meals aren't that bad, we did have a friend have a chimichanga and say it was good but I don't see it worth giving a second shot..

Victoria E.

Yelp
Had to try a new place for lunch. Tiki Hubby and I shared cheese and beef enchilada with one beef taco which is not really on the menu unless you order M-F at lunch. So there was was an up charge (?) we where at lunch but on Saturday. Cute place, clean but not very attentive staff. Food was okay. Good warm chips with a very tomato salsa.
google avatar

Jana S.

Yelp
Terrible - Bland, unseasoned, tasteless, processed food - The chicken in my meal had definitely been frozen, was not fresh, unseasoned, rubbery texture, etc. - Both my friend and my meals were just plain bad. -Using store bought unfresh tortillas - Shameful! Even Kroger makes fresh tortillas. There's tortillerias on almost every corner in DFW -Slow, bad service - An employee saw tables needing service and did not offer assistance. It took over 15 minutes to get a drink or salsa. Our server had only 3 tables of 1-2 customers, so there's no excuse. She was very inattentive and indifferent. -This place looks nice and new, but that's the WORST Tex Mex I've had in a long time. There's tons of Tex Mex restaurants in the DFW. Do yourself a favor and skip this one!

Ruben S.

Yelp
Since the first time we went there we were hooked, everything tastes great especially all the different combinations of enchilada plates and the salsa is so delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a great Tex Mex dinner , the service is also excellent.
google avatar

Johnny L.

Yelp
A little bit of a drive but the food was good enough . Service was excellent , it's Dallas prices so I expected a bit more for the $$ . My son likes the place , it's in his top 5, probably just outside that for me but I would not hesitate to eat there again , I'm a sucker for Tex mex in lots of different countries but nothing g compares to the metroplex ( except New Mexico of course )

Yelp
Food is classic! Ambience is a reminder of San Antonio and true Tex mex and cleeeeean! The service is hands down the best! They are a family business and everyone is dedicated to a good experience. Love it here!

Hunter B.

Yelp
Best queso and chips in the city. Hands down. I will brook no discussion on the matter. Here endeth the lesson.

Veronica R.

Yelp
Service is incredible. I had different three waiters come check on me while I was dining in alone and also my food came out in less than 10minutes of ordering. I highly recommend their tortilla soup. Super delicious, healthy, and light! The atmosphere is very chill and cozy. I enjoy coming here and eating alone a lo

Shannon N.

Yelp
Very happy I finally visited for lunch. The staff and service was friendly, food was great, margarita too. Really liked the chips and salsa.
google avatar

Sonia C.

Yelp
No. Just a no for my husband and I. I saw the negative reviews of the food here but still wanted to give it a try. So I've tried it and it's off my list now. The only thing I semi-enjoyed was the chicken shredded tacos. The taste for anything (rice, beans, tacos, chalupa's,etc.) just wasn't there. If you want true authentic Tex-Mex if your in the Dallas area, try Enchiladas on Greenville. Just my personal suggestion.
google avatar

Bradley B.

Yelp
Service was fine - polite even. Great hot, fresh chips and tasty, spicy salsa. I ordered the Poblana 1 beef enchilada, 1 beef taco, 1 cheese taco and one guacamole tostada $10.95 - sounds good, Right? Enchilada - so so Guac tostado - not bad at all Cheese taco - not sure what that tablespoon of pale yellow, runny stuff was, but It wasn't cheese, it wasn't even watered down melted Velvetta Beef taco - after the 2nd bite I realized that something was "off" with the beef. I spit it out. Fortunately I tend to enjoy one food item at a time, and ate them in that order....I brought it to to the attention of the lady who did not appear to be a server or hostess, she scooped it away without apology or acknowledgement and we paid our bill & proceeded to leave. I NEVER leave a review, but buyer beware. And anyone can have a one off....But? Needless to say, we won't be going back

Nancy W.

Yelp
Love this place....family owned. Food is great and fresh made. Go on Saturday nights for great music
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance! The whole package! And their veterans night is amazing along with the live entertainment

Carol B.

Yelp
First thing is NO handicapped parking and I just had foot surgery?????? Secondly, worst service ever since the owner passed away. These guys are so busy serving a friend at the bar he never even looks up. I've had to raise my hand two different times in order to get service and there were less than 4 tables occupied. The guys are too busy gabbing . Too bad bc I'm usually a good tipper. Next time I'll go on down to Tupinamba where patrons are appreciated. Sad, she was a lovely hostess before these guys took over.

Yelp
Family atmosphere and great TexMex. We're here at least once a week if not more. Great bar, food, and service.

Stuart M.

Yelp
Great, hidden restaurant! Fantastic margaritas and great hot sauce. Service is great and food is outstanding! My favorite is the Mexican flag. Been coming here for 50 years.

Victor M.

Yelp
Love this place. Classic Tex mex and a great atmosphere. People here make you feel welcome and food tastes great.

Roslyn D.

Yelp
Food is solid good Tex Amex. Service is personable and they care about you being there. Great neighborhood place -- we Go a lot!!

Yelp
Service was good , the margaritas where sup par more mix than tequila not pure lime juice. The food was mediocre nothing stood out. The place is clean . Will try another time hope the food gets better.

Kira H.

Yelp
Great food and friendly service!! We love the kids menu, the Austin Tex Mex, chips and salsa are so good!

Morris R.

Yelp
Very friendly and enjoyable Staff is friendly and accommodating Quality of food above the norm for Tex-Mex Definitely will return for dinning in and take-out Interior was clean and atmosphere inviting! Convenient and centrally located

Greg S.

Yelp
This place is over the top! The people, the service, the atmosphere and yes the FOOD. It's outstanding. You will not be disappointed. Oh, I almost forgot, ask for the Fonz.
google avatar

Peggy L.

Yelp
Fast service mildly spicy salsa and creamy queso! TVs with sports on and tiled tables with chairs plus some booths. It's right behind Half Price Books so stop by after a visit. Food was fresh and yummy in the Tex-Mex style. We will be back!!

Yelp
Speciality my father has been ordering since Pete Dominguez first made it for him over 30 years ago. A pile of beans, rice, taco meat, a little cheese & eggs (sunny side up). There was a group of 20 of us and they served us fast & well. I did call ahead 2 days ago. Getting our tickets was slow. We'll be back.

diane h.

Yelp
So sad to say before the fire this was our really go to place to get out of the country and come to Dallas to have a great margaritas. Haven't been back since the fire but we went today and so sad. The margaritas are no better than anywhere else they're half the potency, even though I asked for top shelf with Grand Marnier then we ordered queso flambeado it was half the size and it came out in a cold dish. It was not flaming, and the chorizo inside was very small. It was Friday afternoon. That wasn't even that crowded. Looks beautiful inside, and the owner couldn't be any nicer and I know the prices of food has gone sky high, but you don't skimp on your appetizer melted cheese, probably will not be going back!, unless someone tells me they upped the ante on the tequila
google avatar

Sue H.

Yelp
Best queso in Dallas.....my fav on menu is Chef Special (both beef). Have eaten at Los Vaqueros, Casa Dominguez and Casita Dominguez for 45 years. So glad Casita has same menu.

Steven H.

Yelp
Been going here since I was 15 I'm 66 now and it was the worst meal I've ever had there. Margaritas have changed, taco came out soggy from the get go, taco meat totally under seasoned, which made the beef enchilada suck, which made my wife's cliile relleno suck. Also the chile relleno always had potatoes and carrots in the meat, not now . Won't be back and I was a loyal customer for many years
google avatar

Stacy M.

Yelp
My husband took me here for dinner, he has lunch at Casita pretty frequently. Best Tex-Mex I have has in a long time. We had queso and the salsa is pretty spicy, at least for me. I had the Jalisco and my husband had the Combo #1 / UT. We were both enjoyed with our meals. We also had their Sopapillas...A M A Z I N G! Obviously made in house. Ivan was a great server. Best part of all was Norma, Owner. She checks on all tables and personable like she has known for you for years. Restaurant is clean and lovely inside. We have found our new Tex-Mex go to restaurant!
google avatar

Cynthia R.

Yelp
Super salty tortilla soup. Almost no chicken, clumps of cheese. Extremely rude cashier/ hostess. Not great experience. Sadly we ordered for multiple people. Won't be returning.

Luis A.

Yelp
Food is great, margs are good, service is great, vibe is awesome, love the music. Def coming back. Queso was mid tho

Mark B.

Yelp
Always a very tasty & authentic Tex Mex experience! A hidden gem that continues to deliver after decades!
