Just What I Was Looking For I was looking for a small spot with simple, good Mexican food — and that’s exactly what I found. Tasty dishes, everything clean and hygienic, friendly staff, and generous portions. The value for money is excellent.

Google
I was getting boba next door this morning however the smells coming from this place made me come in. The employees are so friendly and welcoming. I got three asada tacos and it came out super fast! They have a clean salsa bar on top of ice with all the fresh homemade salsas and dry toppings as well. The tacos were packaged perfectly for me to have for lunch later today! The employees made me give this place a 5 star!

I was hungry and this spot was in the area. A solid Mexican taco spot and I highly recommend this spot. I got three tacos with chips. One steak, one carnitas and one Al pastor. These tacos are pretty big for each one but they were all delicious. There’s two corn tortillas and you could probably eat two tacos just from the meat. Excellent flavor and a solid meal. Excellent customer service, from the women at the register. She was very welcoming and made the dinner even better with her courteousness. I’d definitely come back here again and try their other menu items. Parking is limited but worth the trip.

Google
I found a true Gem 💎 here! Went to a random place with my son and stumbled over the best Mexican place in town and area! Thr food is so delicious, the portions are so fat and juicy, the salsa bar has great variety with healthy choices like beautifully cut cilantro, kept clean and prepared with care. The prices are so low I blushed and ordered plenty for to go. The food was served with generous amount of free chips and pico the gallo on the side. The cook was in the back singing in a good mood and the front staff had a big smile and was so very friendly and accommodating and patiently answering my questions. The nachos we ordered was such a massive order they had a hard time closing the box on the second order. The whole experience felt like a I made a mini vacation with a greay cultural experience. The food was authentic Mexican and the people were as well. Eventhoguh this place is out of my way we will make a point of going there whenever in the vicinity at all. When I brought the extra order home to my son he could not eat it fast enough. They also were very generous with the amount of sauces we packed with the extra orders as we are saucy people. You are so free to sauce up your order there with the way you like it, this gave me a new taste to go to restaurants again. But, this will be my destination. This is hole in the wall discovery, which I hope my review won't ruin for people who like how unknown it is. This was so delicious and so lovely I could not hide it from you. You are welcome! Best authentic Mexican restaurant you will ever get to experience!

Google
I have been going to this place for over a decade. I had not been here for about three years. I am happy to say that even though their prices have gone up (like most places), their serving portions and quality have not! It is a small place, most people order to go. Their salsas are great, and I always have the green one. If you are in Burbank, look them up, you will not be disappointed

Google
My friend and I enjoy the taco combo, where we each get our own choice and still share a plate. I love the jamaica Agua here. They no longer have our favorite fish tacos. But the shrimp tacos were a good alternative.

Google
Carne asada tacos are so much bigger than I came in thinking I’d get! Very delicious! But cut in bigger portions. I had ordered two thinking it was a small enough for a kid meal, but we all ended up sharing family style. Good service.

Google
I like supporting small businesses, so I gave this one a chance. Twice. I've tried the burrito and the asada and pastor tacos. Pastor is lacking in flavor and the asada is a bit tough. Burrito had more beans and sour cream than anything else. The chips included have no salt and might be a day old.

Yelp
Food is a 4/5 but the service and attitude is a 5/5! Great flavors, great salsas, I could do with a bit crispier nachos, but not a big complaint. Tacos are legit, but the meat can be a touch dry - salsa to the rescue! Would recommend, this is a long time local hotspot.

Yelp
A popular spot. Casita had a steady flow of customers for both takeout and dine-in (with many regulars). There is a decent salsa bar with about five different flavors, and the service is friendly. I ordered two hard-shell tacos (asada & chicken) and a Bean & Cheese Burrito. The tacos were fine, but the hard shells crumbled on the first bite, and everything fell through. Good thing I had a plate and a fork. The burrito was big and tasty. Everything comes with a handful of chips. While the tiny strip mall parking can be tough, there is street parking on Magnolia and the adjacent block. Once inside, the space is larger then I expected, and the walls are covered with famous headshots and Hollywood related pictures. The vibe is reminiscent of a dozen different dry cleaners or car washes, around town. They also have a North Hollywood location four miles down the road, also on Magnolia Blvd. Either way, Casita Taco Al Carbon is A-OK!

Yelp
Drop by here since they're in the neighborhood located at Magnolia and Victory in Burbank. Nice little spot. Your neighborhood taqueria. About $12.50 for a burrito so I tried two - the carnitas and carne asada which basically come with the works. Not bad but I will say why put pico de gallo (which is very watery) into a burrito bc all it does it turn most the the inside and outside of the burro into mush esp the tortilla. Not a great thing you want to hold in your hands...so yea not sure I'd order again. The meats were well seasoned and pretty good but the soggy burrito was a turn off. The service and prices were good but soggy = no bueno. You can make the decision. ;-)

Yelp
Al pastor, steak, chicken tacos. Probably the most authentic taco truck taste in Burbank. I love they have a salsa bar and the food is served with tortilla chips. I will have to come back and try their other dishes.

Yelp
Stopped in 15 minutes before closing on a Sunday night. Staff was nice enough but they did have a deer in the headlights look because they wanted to go home LOL but it did make for my food coming out super fast. It's $1.75 for 2 oz of guacamole which is the size of a teeny tiny salsa to go container which I think is kind of pricey but being that I'm not going anywhere else to get any tonight I paid it my next option was $10 for the next size up which was probably about 8 oz still kind of pricey I think. I ordered the arroz con pollo special which I used to love years ago and haven't had for a while. It was delicious and enough food for me to have at least three meals. Chicken was flavorful the salsa was excellent and the rice and beans and salad really complimented the meal. Five stars all the way great place to get food in a quick stop very clean inside very relaxing atmosphere.

Yelp
This was the third stop in a tour de taco ride that my friends & I planned a few weeks back. (Side note - no easy bicycle parking for that strip mall). I was not a fan of the tacos here - very dry and not very tasty. I did use a lot of salsa and toppings but overall, not the greatest. I had the fish taco and an asada taco. The fish was so so bland. I will say the portion size is generous and I like that chips are included. I wouldn't recommend the tacos here but I'll probably try the burrito if I ever come back. Service was very nice and quick. The bathroom is not well maintained.

Yelp
A little hole in the wall. I've been coming here for years. The first thing that ever brought me back was their chicken caesar salad. They also have good carne asada, but my favorite is their big bean and cheese burrito. The workers are always nice and service is fast! The prices have gone up over the years (like everywhere else) but the portion sizes always leave me with leftovers for a whole other meal. Parking can be tight in the small lot if you come at peak busy hours. Definitely will be back to eat here again.

Yelp
Very uncool: I ordered a burrito al pastor the other day. I ordered it without beans nor rice, and would have happily paid more since there was to be more meat, (as expected). What did I get? I got the scrapings of pork. You know - that's the meat that's left aside because of being overcooked or just bad meat. After 20 years of being a very faithful client - BYE!
google avatar

Madeleine B.

Yelp
This is a small and unassuming taco spot in a strip mall. I tried the al pastor taco and seasonal whitefish taco. They both come with tortilla chips. Everything was great, these were some of the best tacos I've had in LA! There's a counter with salsa and onions on tap, which are also really tasty. This is an awesome and casual lunch spot. Plus the staff are welcoming and friendly.
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Generous portion, friendly service, OMG tasty! Fantastic value! Will be returning very soon!

Yelp
I've noticed a difference in the burritos when I go on Saturday afternoon than when I go on my lunch hour Tuesdays. The meat on Saturday is better, tastier and softer. whereas the meat on Tuesday is hard, burnt, not as tastier, and I taste more rice in the burrito than anything else. Overall, just less enjoyable. So I make it a point to only go on Saturdays now if I'm craving a carne asada burrito with some dark red salsa from the little bar. Thank you to the staff! Everyone is friendly and welcoming

Yelp
Highly recommend this place for Nachos! It's a hidden gem in Burbank and IFYKY :) it's delicious! Be sure to take a menu! There are a lot more items to choose from: taco's, burritos, salads, nachos and more!
google avatar

Eloysa L.

Yelp
Trash. The chips tasted like oil. Traditional chicken burrito had no flavor besides the char taste from the shredded mushy chicken. Asada wet burrito with 2-3 spoonfuls of rice and a full side of beans. No flavor as well. Felt disappointed and didn't even finish our food because it was gross.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
Hands down the best nachos you'll ever eat! I've frequented this location since high school! I've never had better nachos than this place!
google avatar

Ralph L.

Yelp
They were nice and good fast service but it was expensive and the food could be warmer. The meat was a little rubbery and the burrito was soggy and fell apart.

Richard C.

Yelp
Órale, qué rica comida! I stopped by this spot craving some real Mexican flavors, and they delivered big time. The tacos were packed with juicy carne asada, fresh cilantro, and a salsa verde that had just the right kick--tasted like my abuelita's kitchen! Even better, no tummy troubles afterward, which is a big deal when you're trying new places. The staff was super friendly, and the vibe was puro México. Definitivamente regresaré for more. ¡Súper recomendado!

Yelp
Was referred here by someone local while on vacation. The food was delicious and authentic. We got enchiladas, asada tacos, asada burrito, chicken quesadilla, horchata. Everyone loved their food. The staff were very friendly. The place looked clean, Would definitely go again.
google avatar

Jackie F.

Yelp
All their food is great but my go to place for a chicken Cesar salad! Service is always great too!
google avatar

Pamela K.

Yelp
Good food however overcharged us :( I had ordered the supreme nachos which online says 7.79 when I got to the store they said 14 and some change I was can confused I showed the employee the picture she said sorry that's not the price any longer. The my co worker ordered tacos and they said the same thing about the tacos and how it is individually taxed. We were very confused but they just said this is what is it. Good food but please updates menu!

Yelp
We Burbankers don't like to brag but, when it comes to over-the-top and affordable Mexican food, it's hard to beat our town. For a to-go scene, Casita Taco is just awesome. Plenty of parking in the mini-mall parking lot. The thing you will notice is how friendly the counter ladies are! How they keep those smiles on I do not know. But they greet every guest with a big smile and ask to make sure every order is right. You cannot go wrong with the tacos -- chicken, steak and al pastor is the perfect combo for the three-taco, rice and beans special (with drink)! Chips are tossed into your bag of course. Pick and pack your own salsas at the salsa bar while you wait for your order to be packed up. When I'm feeling extra baller, I spring for the shrimp quesadilla. It's pricey but they do not skimp on the shrimp; you'll have one in every single bite and it is really good. See you here.
google avatar

Jelenny T.

Yelp
Got the two taco combo. The meat tasted so good! Full of flavor. My new fave taco spot.
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
I have been coming to Casita for 15 years, and there are so many great items! Breakfast burrito, anything w steak, the super nachos, the hard shell tacos. I love this place been meaning to leave review for a while
google avatar

Lindsey L.

Yelp
Fresh super fast lovely positive service and super affordable-- always a delight. I'm a local who drove by this place for years until a friend recommended their food as some of the best outside a taco truck. Chicken is tender, chips seem homemade, and the seafood --wow-- I love good ceviche and this place has got the stuff! Also every time I go in the lady at the front counter is so authentically pleasant it kinda makes my day. Super fast pickup (there's only 20 min parking but you don't need more!) and still a delightful experience super affordable and such a boost to the day-- treat yourself!

Patty C.

Yelp
Their asada and chicken combos are so delicious. There was one of their locations in Panorama City, CA over 20 years ago. The staff continue using the same seasonings and top meat quality. The location is very clean and staff are friendly.
google avatar

Ross B.

Yelp
This is one of my wife's favorites, so she brings it home all the time. Good prices, good portions, good food! And when I've gone in person, everyone's been super nice. Only suggestion: would be nice if the order came with less styrofoam.
google avatar

Tony A.

Yelp
Again I only care to your item !! This is a great place I love it ! You taste the difference when someone actually knows how to cook ... I only had the veggie burrito here but it was awesome tasted and looked good ... service was fast and she was friendly... I will be back!!!

Susie S.

Yelp
Never had a bad experience in the 10 years I've eaten here. My absolute favorite thing on the menu though is their asada Cesar salad.
google avatar

Janet R.

Yelp
I can't believe I've been living in Burbank for years and this is my first time here. The tacos are delicious. The salsa at has lots of options and taste authentic (Im Mexican). However, what I loved most is the friendly woman behind the counter. She greeted everyone and had such a joyous smile and laughter. I sat and ate my tacos, then waited for my car to be ready (it was across the street getting washed). This gave me plenty of time to see various interactions between her and the customers. Great food. Great customer service.
google avatar

Mel C.

Yelp
Sorry. I had two dishes there with rice, guac and sour cream. My two friends had two separate dishes. All three of us agreed that we should have gone to Giamella's. There was zero taste to the food. Zero! Including the sour cream which comes from a plastic tub. Ugh! The beef was tough, the rice was less than, and the al pastor was shameful. I'd say it was okay if it was but it wasn't. Can't even give it two for effort. Cooking meat first requires the right cuts. You have to have quality meat. Then you have to season the meat. And lastly it's has to be properly cooked. I didn't feel that any of these things were achieved. I could go on about the food by why! Somebody's eating it. The customers have given it four stars. I'm out!
google avatar

Edwin A.

Yelp
Simply the "Best Taco in Town" , Period!!! (Smokey, lemony flavored concoction of taste, chicken are marinated in lime before grilling...) I tried others but nothing compares. (... been going to this joint over 20-30 years! I lost count, i started working @WB/Burbank in 1985). When i crave for Burritos, my gps is set to go to this place.?

Lisa M.

Yelp
We went for the first time and wow. When we walked in the workers were super friendly and so helpful. The food was really good, we ordered some nachos with carne asada to share. I'm definitely going back soon

Yelp
Updated because I totally realized (years after the fact) that I meant to put 5 stars
google avatar

Caitlyn C.

Yelp
First off, the staff are so friendly! It's so refreshing to walk into a place and get amazing customer service. I've been coming here for years and remember getting bean and cheese burritos with my dad after school sometimes. The food is always so flavorful, especially the chicken tacos and burritos! I went here yesterday with my dad and the food was amazing as usual!

Lorena M.

Yelp
Great customer service and yummy food. Ida is extremely nice goes her extra mile for the customers. Please management recognize your employees there great.
google avatar

Yelp
Best chicken tacos in town... must try! Great service. Folded flour tortilla with the best chicken made right in front of you... add like cilantro and the dark brown salsa. Thank me later :)

Yelp
I was on a trip returning south along the 5 Interstate Freeway and I passed through the Burbank and Glendale area... I had some extra time on my hands and wanted to find a new highly rated taco shop in LA My normal place is El Tapatio in Burbank. I looked up this place and found it on Yelp. Decided to give it a shot. I came in and ordered an L Pastore burrito and a 1 chicken and 1 steak tacos. The tacos were really good, the red hot sauce has some heat to it. The burrito seems to be wrapped in an orange tape tortilla? It has an orange tinge to it. Still good, no french fries like a California burrito. They don't do that in Los Angeles. Everything tasted good.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
2 stars? TWO STARS?!?!? Ok before you all start coming at me like some wild eyed hyenas salivating over a wounded juvenile wildebeest on the Serengeti, hear me out. I know good Mexican food. You might say I'm a connoisseur of carnitas. A pundit of pazole. An epicure of elotes. An aesthete of arroz con pollo. Well amigo, this ain't it. It's average at best. Now, I know what you're saying, "if it's so average why give it two stars and not three?" Well if you would hold your caballos I'll explain. The price is what knocked this down to a 2 star. I bought a meal for myself and two friends that normally should have been around $30, but was $50 instead. I am not rolling in the masa, so if I am spending that much money it'd better be top notch. It wasn't.
google avatar

Huggy B.

Yelp
Been going here since 2013, my favorite burrito spot! They are so welcoming and friendly, many loyal customers. I enjoy looking at all their vintage Hollywood photos on the wall from the 80s and 90s
google avatar

Lucy S.

Yelp
Very good food, staff is nice. Place is clean, great prices. Dined in n do take out too. Fast service.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
The family and I were looking for some good old tacos and we hit the jackpot. This place had great food that was packed on and the service was top notch, very friendly. I will be returning when I am back in town.
google avatar

Terri S.

Yelp
Chicken Burritos are full not skimpy and have the right balance of flavors. It's our go to place when in the area. Always busy, with only a short (worthwhile) wait if you walk-in to place your order, constant stream of people picking up orders. Based on the level of activity here, I suspect everything is as fresh as the chicken burritos and tacos we keep ordering. Due to covid, they haven't reopened their indoor seating area and there is no outdoor seating. It's a small parking lot, so not the best place for a picnic in the car.
google avatar

Terie H.

Yelp
Delicious food!!! Friendly people! I love the Tacos Americanos! Freshly made salsa is a winner!

Ashley G.

Yelp
I feel bad about this 3 star review but the food just didn't meet the 4 star expectations we had from other reviews. We got a carne asada burrito, nachos and a carne asada taco, so we got a well rounded spread of food for 3 people. The quantity is a lot, so you definitely get your money's worth as far as amount. But as far as quality, the food was just not good. The nacho chips and burrito were soggy, I'm thinking from the tomato salsa they put on. The taco was good, bur nothing amazing. The people working there are so nice though!! I just wish the food matched the service. :( we may come back to give it another try and tell them no tomato salsa and just have that on the side... for now, we'll keep trying other places out
google avatar

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Best Mexican food you'll find in Burbank!!! They've been open over 30 something years!!
google avatar

Joe Z.

Yelp
Casitas Tacos Al Carbon is a solid mexican food option in Burbank. I always get the $11.99 three taco combo special with rice and beans. The special of the day has your choice of steak, chicken or pork. This place has an array of Salsas and garnishes to choose from, and all meals come with complimentary bag of tortilla chips. All menu items come with a generous portion of high quality non fatty meat. The location is in a tiny strip mall so parking can be an issue during peak hours. They also serve breakfast burritos in the morning. Thank you to the friendly female staff for calling me mijo.
google avatar

Aaron V.

Yelp
Togo experience during Pandemic: They cook their steak in whole big piece, and after grilling it's sliced into your order. I ordered a whole bunch of steak breakfast burritos for my siblings to try. They remarked that the beef was flavorful. I asked for just the egg and meat... no tomatoes to keep burrito from getting to wet and soggy, and adding salsa at home. They took away the salsa bar but lady was nice and complied when I asked for extra salsa. I feel safe ordering Togo from here and you will love the carne asada steak meat.

Jimmy P.

Yelp
Everything is solid here. The people that work there are also very cool. The burritos are well worth the $.
google avatar

Cameron C.

Yelp
This is my first time here. It is authentic Mexican cuisine so there's no argument on whether or not it's made properly. I ordered #23 which is enchilada suizas with meat. Enchiladas are by far my favorite Mexican dish so I had to see what's up. I added one to my order so I could try all three meats: chicken, beef, and pork. I had the ladies working the counter laughing their ass off. I'll definitely come so love anytime I'm in the Burbank area. Muchos gracias! Salad! Hasta lavista baby!
