Casper's Diner

First time here. Great eccentric atmosphere and decor with a touch of a 1950s dinner. Amazing burgers! Friendly staff. The Kool Aid man sticker sold me with my abstract sense of humor. Highly recommended if you are in Springfield!

Casper's is my favorite diner. I have been eating there about 15 years, started back in the original restaurant. The food is excellent, my favorite is the double whammy- 2 burgers smothered with chili & cheese. Better go hungry if you plan on ordering that. The service and staff is top notch. Friendly, timely, and efficient. It's a very comfortable setting and they don't make you feel rushed.

Super great food. The burger and fries were delicious! Even the grilled cheese was super huge and cheesey! And the chili surprised me with how good it was. I don't normally like chili other than my own, but this was definitely worth getting. The only thing that disappoints me is how small the place is. They moved from their old building, which I thought was to facilitate more people, but the new building is just as small. So, if you wanna go, make sure you get there when they first open, or you will be waiting. Worth the wait though!

It was great diner food. I got Chili & cornbread and my sister got the burger and fries. Fun atmosphere with the people that work there calling out different things happening . You gotta try it for yourself. My sister and I waited in a 10 minute line and chose to eat at the counter because it has comfortable seats.

Husband took us here and it was absolutely delicious. The woman who took our order was so helpful and thoughtful! She offered to cut my son’s burger in half knowing it was too big for him! 10/10 we will be back!

Good food, good service cramped seating. Great diner spot especially if you like throwback eateries. Good burgers great chili dogs.

Was in town on an overnight trip and stopped in for dinner. The young lady who took care of me, was running the drive-through window and taken care of my needs at the counter inside. She was friendly, outgoing, and made sure I had everything I needed she checked in often. I ordered chicken strips and the young lady recommended their tater tots. The chicken tenders were fresh handmade chicken tenders. They were big and thick. The tater tots were hot and crispy. The price was right. The service was great and the atmosphere was super cool. If I’m ever in Springfield again, I will definitely make sure to stop in again

Such a cool little place. The decor and food are both awesome, but the best part was the service. Our server gave us a brief history, sent us with packs of matches she had hand stamped, and was trying to give us to-go drinks. Can't ask for much more than that. The burgers and chili dogs were great! I will definitely be back next time I am in the area.
