Where to Eat Middle Eastern Food in Philadelphia | Eater Philly

"Lafayette Hill’s Caspian Grille has been serving Persian fare for over three decades. Kebabs — including lamb, salmon, and Iranian-style ground meat — are available on platters with rice or packed into pitas, and for dessert there’s rice pudding with rose water. Along with the restaurant, there’s an outpost inside the Flourtown Farmers Market in Flourtown, Pennsylvania." - Sarah Maiellano

Absolutely love Caspian Grill! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and authentically Mediterranean. Ali, the owner, is not just a great chef — he’s a great person, and his kindness and dedication show in every dish. I’ve known him and his amazing father for years, and they truly care about their customers. If you’re looking for delicious food made with heart, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Okay, wow. This place seriously hits different. The food was soooo good like, the kind of good where you’re full but still keep eating because it’s just that tasty. The kabobs were juicy, the lamb was on point, and don’t even get me started on the baklava😩👌

Our PRE Blue Bell group meets for Luncheon once a month and this time we choose Caspian grill. We were not disappoint. The food flavor was great with friendly and prompt service from a father and son enterprise. They have been serving the community for the last 17 years Kudos to Caspian grill. Definitely will come again and recommend to the family.

Google
Vegetarians/Vegans, THIS is your Flourtown place!! The owner Ali provides warm, friendly service and the best dang falafel you ever had in your life! Moist, brimming with all kinds of veggie goodness, and if you like, SPICY as all get-out. There are SO MANY great things to choose from, you will never get bored with the Caspian Grille. Fantastic grape leaves / delicious avaocado dip / freshly scraped corn-off-the-cob side dish / KILLA-DILLA baklava!!! My go-to whenever I am near on a Thurs/Fri or Sat

Google
I had a very disappointing experience at Caspian Grille. The service was extremely poor—unattentive and slow. It felt like the staff either didn’t care or weren’t trained properly. On top of that, the food was just as bad. It lacked flavor, was poorly presented, and definitely not worth the price. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning and can’t recommend this place to anyone.

One of the best Mediterranean food in town. Very nice and friendly Mr. Ali 😃 Try Chicken Kabab (joujeh) and lamp shank (mahicheh)

Yelp
My father and I have been loyal patrons of Caspian Grille for nearly 40 years, and it's easy to see why. The quality of their ingredients is unmatched, and every dish is made with genuine care and passion. No one does it better.

Yelp
Convenient as its located inside the Flourtown farmers market. They have good falafel that's sold by the piece and good cucumber/tomato salad. Unfortunately the younger guy behind the counter is frequently pushy and always wants you to buy more. I've also bought sautéed veggies that were horribly rotten when I tried to eat them the next day so be cautious what you buy. They charge a credit card fee which is understandable for a small business.

Yelp
I stopped in to the Caspian Grille vendor at the Flourtown farmers market. It was pretty awful and very pricey. I tried the tabouli a couple of times and so did my husband and we both felt sick afterwards. Also, the Greek pasta salad was very spicy. And the worst is I think I got overcharged. Just beware. The other vendors are great. Love the Peruvian vendor and greenberg c I stopped in to the Caspian Grille vendor at the Flourtown farmers market. It was pretty awful and very pricey. Yelp
The food overall was surprisingly bland. I was particularly disappointed with the falafel. The baklava, however, was excellent.

Yelp
Arrived at Flourtown Farmer's Market around 4:15 pm Saturday not knowing what I wanted, a handsome young man caught my attention by telling me to try the best food there... he offered a sample of the Caspian chicken. Absolutely delicious!! Full of authentic flavors, seasoned perfectly with tender chunks of chicken, mushrooms and roasted red peppers!! I took home an order of Caspian chicken, Persian rice, vegetable orzo and Persian Rice pudding! I do not like pesto, but I love their vegetable orzo with pesto dressing!!! It is amazing. The food is full of flavor and fresh ingredients!! The rice and rice pudding is heaven in my mouth! You must try them, you will not be disappointed!! I will frequent their store in Lafayette Hill because the farmer's market is closed Monday through Wednesday.

Yelp
I just stopped into the Flourtown farmers market and stumbled upon the Caspian Grille. They have authentic Middle Eastern food. I got the Gyro platters with Persian rice, tabouli, taziki sauce and pita bread. Sooo good. And great hummus. Trust me just go there.

Yelp
Inside the farmers market. Great food. The pumpkin bread pudding is one of the best things I've ever tasted.
