Great host, amazing food - choose the specials. Regular dishes were good, but the specials are magnificent. Knowledgeable host, good wine advice and proper service. If the weather is good, ask for a spot in the garden when making a reservation.

When I walked into this cozy little place with the vintage vinyl on the wall, I thought yes, I made the right decision. But the experience went a bit down hill with the rushed service. For lunch service there was only a waitress who bearly speaks any English and a waiter who was constantly running around. We managed to get our order in with rushed explanation of the food and wine. And the starter arrived before any wine appeared. The veal head was amazing hence the 2 stars I gave. But my main course of fish fillet was raw in the middle. Apparently this is how the chef preferred, which was not mentioned. It was taken back to recook which resulted in very over cooked fish and vegetable and i just couldn't eat it. For a restaurant that has such good reputation and clear potential to be great, I was disappointed mostly due to the service. I was clearly an unsatisfied customer left half hungry, but nothing was offered apart from keep trying to justify what the chef did. Clearly the management didn't care about my custom as they know I won't be back probably. But I feel i should warn other English speaking only potential client to be careful what you order. Take time to understand how it was cooked and not be rushed.

A delightful and friendly restaurant with delicious food. Staff extremely helpful and efficient. Their menu varied and definitely designed thoughtfully. I personally loved the Japanese inspired tuna starter it had the essence of Japan with a French twist.

One of the best overall experiences we've had. The food and wine were out of this world. The chef and his wife treated us like family, making the meal pure fun! We learned to "never trust a skinny chef!"

We had a lovely evening meal at a very reasonable price. The staff are delightful. Quite a short menu, but special.

Wonderful little restaurant within walking distance from the old center. The seasonal menu is written on a blackboard to change with the seasons and what is fresh. Great wine menu of the Loire Valley. Very reasonably priced. Call for a reservation.

Excellent meal in Tours in a small restaurant filled with locals and run by a young chef and his lovely partner. The food was authentic and well-prepared with amazing wine. We were also able to try local specialties of the Loire Valley such as rillettes and sweetbreads. Although we only speak a few words in French, we were able to enjoy a fantastic dinner.

Can't say enough about our lovely meal here. Patricia and Hervé are some of the nicest people we have met on our travels. The food is absolutely incredible, their wine list is vast and frankly very affordable. They only do one seating so make sure to get a reservation but let me tell you it was our very best meal in France. Make sure to chat up Patricia and Hervé, it's worth it! Can't wait to go back
