Castel Brando (Brando, Corsica) 4 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"We know more or less what to expect from a castle hotel on the French mainland, but like everything in Corsica, Castel Brando is a little bit different. This 19th-century house occupies an aristocratic mansion in the old fishing village of Erbalunga, on the Cap Corse, the peninsula on the island’s north coast. Rather than dazzle you with its opulence, it’ll seduce you with its quiet charm." - Tablet Hotels

CastelBrando | Best castles to stay in

"Originally a roman-era defensive fortress dating back to AD 46, the current castle complex is a culmination of centuries of additions by a long history of counts, barons, and lords. The 50 rooms, in the castle’s heart, feature suitable period styling and furniture and have views down over the valley and villages. " - Matthew Roach

Spacious room with everything you need for a short stay. Small bathroom but more than sufficient remembering that each room is different from the others. Staff were very very helpful. Sadly, no time to utilise the spa but it looks great. Restaurant was lovely. Food, delicious. Some new staff who just need time and maturity but the experienced ones were great. As a whole WOW WOW WOW

The hotel in this historic building is something special. The staff, particularly Luca, are all genuinely helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast has something for everyone. We parked in the on-site garage of the hotel, so I'm not sure what the other options are if your driving to the hotel.

The castle is amazing. Beautiful view , delicious food at the restaurant and pretty affordable prices. But overall a bad experience because of the hotel staff. We checked out and forgot a dress in the closet. We called back in a couple of hours and they claimed that there was nothing in the room left. Pretty sad that the people who work there have no integrity and this incident really left a bad feeling from an overall amazing trip/stay.

We really enjoyed the building BUT…. Half the stuff wasn’t open for kids or at all (no gelato for us!). The beds were the most uncomfortable I’ve ever had the misfortune to sleep in (and I’m not high maintenance - we came from a little B&B that we loved!) and the breakfast was not up to par. The castle is very well worth the visit though!

Staff were excellent and a beautiful castle, but the interior is so outdated. The room was a small shoebox and the furniture from before the 2000. Hard awful beds and cushions. The tiny bathroom obviously not renovated since 20 years ago. Breakfast a US low quality buffet style. Lots of US guests stay here, so it fits. Felt sadly more like an American fever dream of an Italian castle hotel, than an Italian dream a La Dolce Vita. You are better off taking the tour and staying outside the hotel. Much better options available in the Prosecco DOCG region. I just hope a new generation of future owners will step up and make the interior hotel as glorious as this beautiful outside castle.

Came to Castle Brando for a relaxing day trip to the spa with a friend and dinner. We were not even staying on site and can not say enough wonderful things about the staff at the spa, the massage therapists, the hotel staff, the waitstaff at the restaurant and the bar! Was literally treated like family from the second we arrived. The spa facility is immaculate both in ambiance and cleanliness. The bartender was amazingly sweet and made us the most amazing Easter special cocktail. Absolute perfection. Cannot wait to come back to this magical hotel for future trips!

The most wonderful venue and hotel. We hosted our wedding here, and it was absolutely incredible: stunning venue, amazing food, and wonderful staff. We’ve also stayed here as hotel guests on multiple locations, and it’s equally amazing. Great breakfast, nice rooms, super luxurious and spacious spa. In particular, want to thank some of the lovely staff: Khadim, Luca, Carlo, Maurizio and Brunella - we can’t wait to return!

Excellent service from start to finish, rooms are beautiful we had a free upgrade due to celebration trip. We booked the package for spa, over night stay and dinner. The spa was fantastic incredible views, beautiful clean facilities. The dinner I wouldn’t recommend due to the service at la Fucina. The best part of the stay was definitely the hotel and the spa, the staff at the hotel are very welcoming and knowledgeable especially Crystal who greeted us with a very warm welcome, Gloria who was knowledgeable and polite and Hugo who took us to our room and explained the history of the room to us. Very good breakfast also included. I would return and recommend!
