We had an outstanding experience with Chef Marco and his team! Not only are the views and ambience a one of a kind experience but the food is out of this world! We enjoyed the castle tour and story. Followed by “happy hour” cocktails and apps on the rooftop at sunset before dinner in a private room all to ourselves. The team truly made us feel as if we were their only guests. You won’t regret this experience!

Worth every penny. Chef Marco is outstanding. Every meals, appetizers and deserts were well thought out and prepared flawlessly. The history of the castle moving. And the respect to the original owner evident and well presented. I highly recommend the sunset dinner experience.

Wow!!! Just wow!! We spent three weeks in Costa Rica last month, Feb 2025, and the evening we spent at Castillo de Lilo was the best evening of the whole trip! For starters, when you arrive you are so warmly greeted, and with a fabulous beautiful cocktail! They give you plenty of time to take in the breathtaking view from the top of the world (seems like that!) and the most stunning sunset!! 😍 Next, they offer fabulous hors d’oeuvres, rooftop, and there’s a bar if you want cocktails, made to order, they’re so accommodating! Dinner was on another level! Absolutely top notch!! And the host was SO kind with a gentle nature, making us feel so welcome and also he’s a wealth of knowledge on the history of the castle! Overall, it deserves a rave review—everything was absolutely perfect!!! Thank you for such a memorable night!! 🥰

We had a group of 10 people, celebrating our friends 40th birthday. It was a breathtaking experience. The views, the details to the castle, the atmosphere. Everything was simply amazing. I love how everyone could have their own “private” space for their party. The food was outstanding!! And the story or this beautiful place!! Highly recommend!!!

The Castle is a must visit when you’re in Costa Rica! The food is amazing, the owners are some of the highest quality people you’ll ever meet, and the views are breathtaking! If you’re looking for a romantic dinner for two or a fine dining experience for with your travel party, look no further!

Our visit to Castillo de Lilo was an incredible experience, more than just a dinner. We were greeted with friendly staff, watched the sunset from the rooftop overlooking an amazing 360 degree view, learned the story of the castle, and enjoyed a gourmet dinner and dessert on our own private patio. I will recommend this to everyone visiting Costa Rica!

This was one of most epic and special experiences we’ve had. We are staying at a nearby hotel (Casa Chameleon) and the was recommended by our incredible valet, Rose. Words aren’t sufficient to describe how special our evening was at Castillo de Lilo. There was only one other party of 4 there dining, but we each had our own area of the castle for a personalized and private experience. You arrive early and are greeted with a glass of champagne. We then wandered through he castle to the roof where we had more drinks and appetizers. From the rooftop, experienced an epic sunset on the roof of the castle with a 360 degree view of Guanacaste. Pictures can’t do the view justice. You have to see it for yourself. We learned about the history of the castle and then proceeded to our private area for dinner. The dinner, a 3 course meal selected when you make the reservation, was outstanding. The service was impeccable. Overall, excellent experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and truly extraordinary experience.
