Very good in general, but expected more from the food.
We came in with a reservation and were immediately seated.
Ordered drinks and checked the menu.
Many fish options, some meats and veggie options.
Generally good food but some were a little bland, like it was missing salt or vinniger to bring the taste out.
For started the ‘Local tomato salad with scallion, sardine and kalamata vinaigrette’ was very good. As well as the ‘Toast with almadraba tuna, mustard and truffle mayonnaise’, was very refreshing and the tuna tasted not too fishy.
The homemade fish croquettes were just fine.
For the mains we had the ‘Grilled baby squid with marinara sauce and lemon mayonnaise’ which could’ve been done way better.
You couldn’t taste any lemon and the marinara spice was very bland. It needed salt, lemon juice and different spices. The flavor pallet felt like it was meant for meat so it didn’t fit the baby squid at all.
Secondly we ordered ‘Free range chicken thigh glazed with roasted pumpkin’ which had a little bit of the same problem.
It tasted better than the squid but again something felt very bland. The sauce used could’ve been more tangy and salty.
We talked to the table next to us, and they experienced the opposite of everything being way too salty.
On the other hand the ‘Castizo rice of the day with Seabass’ was delicious, we enjoyed that dish a lot.
Also the dessert ‘Castizo's mild cheesecake’ was very very good and heated up.
Nice flavors and good pallet to round everything off.
Service was very good, kind and helpful. Also the place gets very packed, and we saw multiple people turned away, due to being fully booked.
So making a reservation is very much recommended.
