Castle Bergelière

Staying at the Chateau was one of the highlights of our stay in France. We booked 10 rooms for our son's wedding which included access to two kitchens, games room, dining room and very large living room for 7 days. What a wonderful Chateau with all the modern conveniences in a truly beautiful setting. Our hosts, Monsieur and Madame de la Laurencie were most gracious in responding to any special requests by our party. Our stay at the Chateau was a memorable experience. What else can I say, how many people get to experience a beautiful Chateau in a picturesque setting with so much history.

I completely agree with the other reviewers, because I had such a good time here when my daughter married. The castle was our base, our sports centre, our swimming pool, our mess and our entertainment area. Some of our party were able to cycle the surrounding routes, other explored objects of interest in nearby towns. No need to bring in food or alcohol, it's a short walk to a nearby supermarket which held a good stock of most provisions. The sourrounds are a photographers dream and the castle provided an excellent backdrop for the wedding. The Castle is dog friendly but sleep with your windows closed for instance a night owl perched on our balcony rail.

An amazing and very comfortable castle. Each of the rooms is very different, incorporating different architectural elements of the building. Many of the rooms, including the salon, look out over the rose garden and the morning breeze pushes from that direction. Besides being minutes away from the Puy du Fou the castle has its own swimming pool and tennis court. An excellent bakery, a small grocery store and a restaurant are all steps away. Monsieur and Madame De la Laurencie were excellent hosts. They are very helpful and made us feel at home. They also speak English. Overall I would highly recommend a stay at the Chateau de la Bergeliere.

Amazing place to stay at. Rooms are great and tastefully decorated, comfortable and the outside (garden, swimming pool) are so nice we never wanted to leave :) the owners are amazingly nice and knowledgeable people. Breakfast was really good too.

A unique stay in a comfortable habitation. The Puy du Fou park, a few minutes away was equally memorable.

Remarkable place - warmly welcomed over the years, with modern facilities and a swimming pool and tennis court at the end of the magnificent garden.

Notre famille a séjourné à 36 pendant 4 jours et 5 nuits dans ce magnifique château. Monsieur et Madame de la Laurencie nous ont réservé un accueil chaleureux dans cet espace très confortable. L'ambiance, avec le parc et l'histoire fascinante de la demeure, est tout simplement merveilleuse pour un séjour à proximité du Puy du Fou ! Pour les repas, nous avons été livré par le service traiteur de la supérette Vival de la Flocelière.

En visite de 3 jours au Puy du Fou, nous avons choisi de résider au Château de la Bergelière. Nous avons été bien accueillis par Madame De la Laurencie et son époux. Leur bienveillance nous a permis de passer un agréable séjour. Nous avons eu droit à beaucoup d'informations qui nous ont beaucoup aidé. La chambre dans laquelle nous avons dormi était confortable et la literie très agréable. La table du petit déjeuner était faite avec beaucoup d'amour et les produits de qualité. Nous sommes repartis avec de belles images de ce beau château. Nous vous le recommandons.
