Google
Down in Castro Valley just because, and bumped into old Crabtree Crane the Sage of Bellfuse. He had a lot to tell me about this and that, so we did rock it over lunch, and let me tell you...The sandwiches from the Castro Valley Marketplace were Amazing! 5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

Doug Brockmeier

Google
Great local place with a variety of local food shops in a beautiful old industrial building.

Google
Each time I come here it continues to have better offerings. The dim sum spot here serves up some insane take home shumai. The pizza place is definitely above the cut. The grocer here serves high end, high quality goods... good ice cream nearby and always pretty easy to find parking.

This market is really growing! I like to shop produce here when it is a last min busy holiday to avoid crowds. The variety of places to eat is growing and growing. Def get a slice from slice house and the seasonal cream puff flavor at papa beards. The ciabatta and muffins are amazing at 7 hills.

Google
Wonderful treasure in Castro Valley! One stop shop under one big roof - Grocery store which is a smaller version of Whole Foods Market, deli, sushi, oils and spices, Butcher, etc. We always go for Akemi sushi which is so fresh but expensive, worth it though. Haven't tried the other places yet. There is plenty of seating outside and so refreshing especially on a pleasant day!

Karen McDonald's

Google
Sevenhills bakery is really good . We love their quiches , muffins, as well as scones and bread. Highly recommend this place for their breads every day is a different bread. Folks are very nice and helpful.

If opportunity arises, drop into CV Marketplace... especially Oculto restaurant on the second floor... excellent menu with a variety of wines and cocktails and attentive staff. Family friendly place but also good for couples and the lone ranger. Enjoy!

Google
this is a foodie wonderland, if you want to buy rare items that you cannot find at Safeway or Lucky you need to shop here. my favorite items are black truffles imported from Italy and the chantrel mushrooms. If you love meat, then this is the place for you, the butcher has an extremely wide variety. The cheese monger is so knowledgeable for all your needs. i absolutely love this place and Castro valley has needed something like this for a long time! please stay!!!

Wil G.

Yelp
This is the best pizza in castro valley with amazing customer service. Definitely delicious food here that will have you coming back for more. Come and check them out. Clean and great atmosphere. Lots of seating. Outside and inside. I want to thank Julio for his help with my request of a special surprise pizza for my family and I. It was perfect. Well balanced. Also the "wise guy" is one of my favorites. Just be sure to tell them what your favorite style is on how well done you like the crust. It makes a world of a difference. Thank you again for your great hospitality and kindness. See you guys soon!

Cat L.

Yelp
What an absolute disappointment to come here at 5:30PM on a Monday and be told that no one can help me in the cheese section. Seriously, sorry - no it isn't closed you just can't select anything not already pre-packaged!! Don't come here looking for anything custom - choose Whole Foods or elsewhere

Neil L.

Yelp
...rodents ____ . . . I really want to like the castro valley marketplace, as well as similar new businesses. Unfortunately, I walked in to grab a few items and saw not one, but two large rats scurry by in the grocery area, which raises significant concerns about hygiene and safety. One can only assume that these rats also have access to the preparation and cooking areas within the marketplace. While I hope for improvements and a brighter future for this marketplace, the current conditions are alarming and need immediate attention. I informed a worker but they just shrugged and said " Yeah, we already know about it." It's disappointing to see such potential hindered by such a serious problem.

Phil A.

Yelp
A very nice, high end grocery store and market! There are also multiple places to eat in here. I saw a bakery, a sushi place, along with cheese and burger options. They also have a very spacious outdoor patio area, perfect for eating, drinking, or just relaxing. When I was here, upstairs had a live band with people hanging out drinking wine! This Marketplace seems like a pretty cool spot in this area, very nice!!

Ngoc P.

Yelp
Such a cute market. Whenever I make a trip here, I get some frozen dumplings from dumpling express then pick up some nice groceries. They have a great variety of milk. You can find Strauss and Alexandre milk here. Then on the way out, I can have either pastries or cream puffs. One stop shop.

Theresa M.

Yelp
Was craving for ice cream and saw this next door. We live close by from here like couple miles and I was surprised when I went inside. I always go around this area and pass them but never bothered to go inside since I thought it was just a grocery store lol. It's like a "mini-mini" Eataly! There's varieties of food stalls you can choose from such as coffe shop, baked goodies, fresh meat, cured meats, and they have more upcoming. I went inside the grocery store just to get eggs and milk since I am almost out of it anyways. I love it but still yet to try the food stalls. There's one part with a bigger area and seating which is a Pizza place. Looks and smells sooo good! Then there's an upcoming thats Pho and one something like Mexican. Cool place. I like it. Will come back to try a couple of them so I can update my review.

Natasha K.

Yelp
The place is pretty small and easy to navigate. The Asian dumpling place was out of most hot food items (but maybe because I came around lunch time). The pizza place was fast and delicious. There's also a bakery, a custard bun spot, sushi, a butcher, and a micro market that pretty much sells the same items/brands as Whole Foods. Everyone I interacted with at three different registers was very friendly. I'd be back, even if just for the pizza place, which sold more than just pizza.,

Carol B.

Yelp
Love seven Hills bakery. Their chocolate croissants are delicious and their breads are out of this world. The addition of Slice the pizza place is a great place for this market.

Ronnesha L.

Yelp
I haven't made time to check out everything but I come on my break to get pizza or pastries. It's really cute in here with lots of specialty stores. I will make time soon to check out everything.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Cute space that's still under development. The market place itself is really cute, they also have a sushi bar, a delicious bakery, and heard papas inside from what I saw. I can also really appreciate the oil selection, the little makers market, and the wine section! Can't wait to see what else comes to vend here. The market place is just big enough with everything you'd need, a great selection of vitamins, cheese, and more. I saw a lot of vegan items there as well :)

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
The Castro Valley Marketplace is in the heart of Castro Valley, it is a bit hidden though. There is a good amount of parking in their parking lot, so that was convenient. They have a different variety of eateries as well as a grocery store in here. There is also a good amount of seating - both indoors and outdoors for you to enjoy your food / snacks here. I like the concept of this food hall type marketplace. Nice little stop to check out, I had came here about 2 times so far. The first time was for the Akemi Sushi in here and the second time is for Beard Papa's. I was not the biggest fan of their sushi at Akemi, but their cream puffs at Beard Papa's was pretty good.

Annabelle R.

Yelp
Clean and modern looking food hall, with great artwork (sculptures and murals) on site. Seating available both inside and in the outdoor patio area. Businesses and eateries selling pizza, sushi, latin cuisine, meats and seafood, wine and spirits, plants, and groceries. However, options were limited both in the store (mostly vegan and organic ingredients and products) and in terms of food vendors available. Still, we were able to get a few items from the market, and were especially impressed with their variety of mushrooms. Also, had a delicious dinner and even better drinks on a Wednesday evening, thanks to Oculto and Night Owl. We enjoyed our goodies to some awesome tunes of the guitar, drums, keyboard, trumpets, trombones, and saxophones, with live music being performed by an orchestra in the lounge upstairs. All of the workers we interacted with at the venue were friendly and professional, and provided excellent service. Lots of free parking available, and just one restroom for the whole building (located on the upper level).

Dee W.

Yelp
The market is really nice in the inside .. plenty of options.. looks like the upstairs will be some added additions to the market.. I really enjoyed the meat market with their home made sausages...I would definitely recommend.. you can also get in the market some groceries if you want ..I would would definitely come back for some more sausages and maybe an aged steak

dave g.

Yelp
Wow awesome! Came in here looking for slice house, and discovered something bigger! Beautiful community space plus several high end eateries plus high end food merchants plus a small grocery store in the back. Very cool. Love it. Will be back for dumplings.

Roger

Yelp
Found the bakery a bit overpriced. Haven't tried the other businesses. I thought I did overpay for a loaf of bread that was decent at best. Nothing to write home about.

Dwight C.

Yelp
I came to this store for a late over the counter medicine need at 9:55 PM, they close at 10PM. I needed 1 easy to find medicine. The doors were closed and locked. There was an employee at the door that let someone in before me. She said they were busy and could not let anyone else in and walked off, even though it's before closing time. I have been a long time customer of Walgreens and have always had good service. Customers are actual people and shouldn't have a door closed and not let in before closing time. This shows the customer is not valued at this store. I drive farther to a competitor and will not return to this store.

Stefan T.

Yelp
This used to be the old billiards place. Today its a market with various different retailers. It was patched together and renovated fairly well - and the parking lot looks great with the stone pavers. When I heard they were saving this old crumbling concrete building I was initially against it. Especially given the proximity to the Hayward fault. But I was surprised at how well it turned out. There are outdoor seating areas and various stores. More stores on the second floor - but I didn't explore up there. I visited the natural grocery store for a very underwhelming lunch and the bakery for an outstanding baked good. Overall its a good concept with many upscale stores. Freshness is probably the biggest issue - as I'm not sure how much demand there is for that sort of thing in this area. Today the area was still festive with holiday decorations. People were there I think enjoying food and coffee. This place is very similar to the Alameda Marketplace - if you happen to be familiar with that.

Charlotte C.

Yelp
Cute place, a little pricey but most items are high quality so it makes sense. Sandwiches are delicious and fresh, as well as their beet salad! Nice to stroll around and upper level has restaurants.

Dave H.

Yelp
but....THE BEST Cafe/Brewery and IPA'er, has GONE, since opening day, they had close to SF Garlic Fries alike Giants Stad/Gilroy Garlic and many many other items, they EVEN hung on during C-19! S a d history for CV MktPlc now. But others can make up for it, alike the newer Pizza place upstairs, keep in mind, these are artistinal food hall type places, not dimino's (yes DIMinoes) or corp greed food, the ONLY large co is the brand new addition that replaced The Oak Spice Shoppe (yes OAKland) has come later and gone back to OAK, miss the Japanese Curry Pwdr. IS....Pappa Beard custard and filled pastry. Otherwise besides the Natural Market their are them and the Butcher ($$$) that have other locations, maybe one, two or more, but NOT Corp. The Market takes most of downstairs but it reminds us kinda of Rainbow Mkt from SF, but def NOT WFM, except the prices are high, but alot of natural, Organic and Fair Trade and other good things. Some cafe's upstairs are POP UPS come and go and some are pretty pricey, BUT QUALITATIVENESS IS KEY here folks, ESPECIALLY for Castro Valley , wow. AlCo (Alameda County worked on this Co-op type of place for awhile before it became to fruition. Really Good Surprise for down the hill from the Tri-Valley. We will see and wait for the Beer Place replacement, it is also a large area of the CVM inside and out. Lots of seating for every purchase outside, especially post Covid-19. Don't forget to go DOWNSTAIRS or elevate downwards to the Wine Bar, They make awesome Affagato BTW!!! Nice place also pricey, but hey, it's International and CA Wines, what can be said. Try for yourself it's worth any East Bay or EAST East Bay trip to CVMkt.

K M.

Yelp
Came back with the family and saw new restaurants opening up and more to come - a new sushi place was opened with a pizza and pho place opening up soon.

Jim W.

Yelp
The good is the first time I went I ordered the triple threat from this Chinese steam table, that is three items. beef broccoli, assorted vegetables, and spicy tofu shrimp. Very tasty and good combination with steamed rice. Then a week later I came back to order take out for dinner, the steam table was in low supply, the food did not look fresh. I left and went elsewhere. Bottom line, go give it a try in the late morning, close to noon, the food is fresher and better.

Ain M.

Yelp
I love that this market has revolving restaurants and vendors showcases. Recently went here and was very happy that they now also have beard papa! Yum!!! I used to think this was a pricey boogie grocery store, but I was proven wrong. The quality is good, most items are organic and fairly priced. I saw the same cookies at the OxBow mart in Napa for $4 more, so I'm guessing this store is priced right?

Jeremy W.

Yelp
Place has great stuff, but asking for a tip when you pay is FOUL! Like what am I tipping for? LOL

Vi T.

Yelp
Sweet and small indoor marketplace with a grocery store, butcher and meats store(Baron's) , bakery (Seven Hills), and burger/beer bar (The Cannery) inside. There's seating inside and outside (with heatlamps) in the alleyway between the marketplace and a vietnamese restaurant (Wend's Place) next door. There's a small parking lot in the back and along Castro Valley Blvd (2 hour max weekdays, 9am to 6pm).

Hai Y.

Yelp
Nice clean spot. Parking in back. Market has good selection of less common items, decently priced.

Allie P.

Yelp
Very happy CV has put together an establishment as nice as this marketplace in the area. It's only the beginning of starting to have nicer things / places to hang out in town without having to drive far. The baker, butcher, florist, winery, spice specialist, olive oil connoisseur, sushi chef, brews on tap, dine-in options, and pop-ups all under one roof! Seven Hills Bakery was one of the first businesses I went to. They have freshly baked bread, sweet and savory treats made daily. Be sure to get there early as to not miss out on something you've been craving. The Oaktown Spice Shop and Amphora Nueva Olive Oil Works vendor has items that would be perfect as gifts or if you, yourself are in need of restocking your pantry. Baron's Quality Meats & Seafood always has a nice looking assortment, but I have yet to buy -- I haven't been cooking at home as much the past few months. The wine cellar downstairs has a wide array of wines, beers, and other spirits. They also host occasional events from music performances to tastings. There is a craft cocktail lounge, Night Owl located on the upper level. Akemi is the sushi restaurant - I've only done take-out, but if you choose to dine-in, you're welcome to be inside or outside. Pricey, but great quality. The Cannery Kitchen & Tap is a nice option for dining in - I've eaten at one of the picnic tables with the umbrellas out in the courtyard on a nice sunny day. The East Bay Nicoise Salad and the Fort Point Animal Tropical IPA hit the spot. I've visited the marketplace when I've been on the search for unique ingredients that which I was unable to find at Al's Market, Safeway, etc. The Castro Valley Natural Grocery store is like a mini Whole Foods or other type of specialty curated product market. Yes, you'll find super unique / healthy products at a cost. Private parking lot which can be entered two different ways. Part of it is shared with the strip of businesses where the Ice Creamery is. Entrances to the Marketplace - from Castro Valley Blvd, the side parking lot, through the restaurant / market doors on the opposite side of the side parking lot doors. I would double check their website / each vendor's site to double check on operating hours as each is different.

Brooke D.

Yelp
For over 3 years, my family has walked here regularly for organic groceries, baked goods, occasional sushi and Baron's meats. I'm so grateful for this marketplace. I read some of the 1-3 star reviews and it saddens me some visitors are entirely upset by the prices and selections. Trader Joe's is great and close enough, but the obvious point of this place is to provide high-quality and artisanal products in one location to an area that could use these things. And what a relief to have a natural grocer in our neighborhood! Most of the staff is friendly and very helpful, too. There will always be occasional poor customer service moments, but that can happen anywhere. We've noticed many young families and single professionals moving to CV in the last few years. The marketplace feels like a major draw for those groups. Despite some unfortunate, recent in-house closures, it's still exciting to see what management will do next. Recently, within the block, they've leased out a corner spot to Peet's Coffee (hopefully opening this year) and I can't wait to see what shops will open this fall after construction is complete at multiple storefronts! Overall, this place is a hub for Castro Valley. From the bee-keeping on the roof to late night music to the wine cellar, wholesome groceries, meats, and the stellar bakery, we love it. For anyone who is adverse to the pricing, Safeway and Lucky is down the street. You get what you pay for.

Michaela R.

Yelp
Awesome place for a fun upscale family meal. We grabbed some to-go sandwiches from the market and dined inside. Atmosphere is fun and everything is new and shiny. A couple of excellent restaurants upstairs as well for those wanting table service.

Michael W.

Yelp
Castro Valley Marketplace is a mix of a fancy supper market and lots of other stores and restaurants together. The market carries many items that are not available in regular supermarkets. Nice to check them out. You might find something you are loved. The restaurants located in the outdoor alley area have many choices. They all look good. I don't have a chance to try it out this time. But I'm sure I'll try it next time. A very famous bakery - Seven Hills Baking Co., is inside the marketplace right at the entrance. This bakery is a must-try when you're in the area. The parking lot is too tiny for the amount of business here. Trying to get a parking space is a little challenge. But the area looks very safe to me. You can try to come here on the weekday afternoon if you want to avoid the busiest time.

Karina P.

Yelp
I love the store. At this market you can find most of what you need. This is one of the best markets in the area. All products are fresh. No problem with the parking. I really recommend the store.

Cony K.

Yelp
This place offers great quality bread, meat, sushi, wine, groceries & more. You get for what you pay for. I really hope they get enough business to stay. I like to support small community businesses instead of big corporations whenever possible.

Deborah T.

Yelp
Variety, ambiance, decor. Very nice place to meet people. Friendly vendors. Nice to have breakfast or lunch.

Tiffany A.

Yelp
This is a hidden in plain sight gem! It's located right next door to Knudsen's ice cream. Definitely a great place to support small businesses. There are several different vendors located here. There is a winery in the basement and and restaurant located upstairs. This is also a great place to chill comfortably while u whip out your laptop and do some office or school work.

Allen S.

Yelp
We came here for Barons Quality Meats (inside the market place). While there, we checked out the market. Except for being a lot smaller, the Castro Valley Marketplace feels like Whole Foods in Austin. Similarly, the farmers market in the NYC subway just east of Times Square (forgot the actual name) has a similar feel. This feels like the San Francisco ferry building on a much smaller scale. Produce was nicely organized. The buyers do a great job and the staff keeps the displays organized with quality products. If you want quality meats and produce consider giving them a try. If you want cheap then head over to your local box store. We will be back for Barns Meats.

Tiffany P.

Yelp
Such a gem in Castro Valley! I love their market with gourmet cheese, ice cream and more. They have a wonderful meat market where you can get Wagyu. Seven hills bakery is delicious known for their croissants. Fridays they have a pop up bar with different themes. Downstairs is my favorite Cordial Cellar with daily happy hour 3-5!

Jay P.

Yelp
Indoor market and foodhall, a place designed for local residents to gather for shopping, dining, and events like live music. It's small and not intimidating in size with nice interior and exterior design. Everything is priced higher than normal though and a bit far for us to make it a frequent destination. The grocery section is like whole foods, with an emphasis on organic and smaller brands that have higher quality ingredients. The honey sold here is from the beehives they keep on the roof and you can watch them gather the honey during special events. I loved the proper butcher shop, Barron's, the most. They have their own dry-aged section and its always great being able to ask for weird cuts like beef cheeks or banter with the crew on how to cook/grill certain meats. We tried Cannery here a couple months back and loved the Kennebec Potato fries, truly excellent.

Pierre T.

Yelp
This place has a lot of great vendors, is clean and well-kept, and has lots of places to sit. Highly recommend for a remote working session with some great food, wine, or coffee.

Wendy S.

Yelp
I'm realizing now that reviewing the CV Marketplace itself is a little tricky. It is somewhat a sum of its parts, and typically the reviews of it are a reflection of the individual businesses that make up the CV Marketplace. I'm also realizing that by its very nature it is a community space and due to that, it has some additional responsibilities. The recent abrupt changes to the Music on the Paseo, by the owner of the CV Marketplace, has made me reevaluate my initial impressions of how the CV Marketplace itself is run. Even though there's been quite a lot of community support for the previous music lineup and plenty of feedback regarding its cancellation, the owner hasn't made a public statement about why he decided to unilaterally make this change or has he made himself available for communication with the community. I feel this is why people came to Yelp to express their views, as they didn't have another way of doing so (and their reviews have now been removed, as I'm assuming they were not about the CV Marketplace per se). As far as the building itself, it's quite nice, as is the parking lot. So far I'm noticing that the upstairs space still seems to be somewhat in the works as far as eating/drinking/shopping. As it's been more than a year now, it's a little surprising. Bringing in a proper coffee/espresso shop would be a great addition, as I see folks already like using the upstairs as a place to sit. When implementing his vision of the CV Marketplace, I hope that the owner will equally consider the local community's desires and needs, be transparent, and find a way to make himself available to feedback and discussion with the community. Update: Added a photo of a Sept. 2021 post from the CV Marketplace Facebook site showing that they limit who can comment on the new Paseo Music Series posts. It appears that they are blocking any type of engagement with the community regarding these events; pretty disheartening, and frankly, weak. As a community space, I give them no stars on their community engagement.

Ricky W.

Yelp
I'm relaxed & enjoy it here. There aren't too many people all over the place if you get here earlier in the day and there is plenty of space to social distance. The market is on the first level with groceries, ready made food and self care items. A lot of organic stuff here as you might expect, and they even have a hand made jewelry section. There is a seating space upstairs with a lot of room that overlooks everything. The employees are cool/eclectic and they have a rainbow flag in the back which is pretty cool. You can work here, eat or just relax upstairs as you please. Early Fridays is when I usually come to avoid the "People", and get fresh items/food as it comes out. It's a clean, safe and pretty quiet place. Check it out. Cheers to peace, quiet, and organic products.

Don M.

Yelp
Was charged full priced on a drink that clearly had a sale sign on each flavor for $1.50 . Cashier told me that he couldn't do any adjustment and I had to wait for a manager to come back from her break That is not customer service that cruelty to a disabled individual. This market needs to focus on customer service, and to give their employees more responsibility. The male cashier seem sleepy and did not smile.

Andrea R.

Yelp
The management of this place is running off good business and making it impossible for the restaurants to stay open. I would love to see good restaurants be successful here.

Cheryl M.

Yelp
The Castro Valley Marketplace is a great addition to the neighborhood offering fresh produce, pastries, spices, olive oils and vinegars, seafood and meats, sushi, soups and salads, wines and all things edible under one roof. Basically, a one stop shop for a nice dinner or hosting a small get together...one day soon! Before you walk in, a nice gentleman standing by the door offers hand sanitizer and opens the doors for you...nice touch. My visit today had about 7 vendors with others opening slowly which is completely understandable during these crazy times...especially, when businesses are closing every other day (insert sad face). So comparing this marketplace to the City or why not the Mercado Central in Valencia doesn't make sense...take it for what it is...familiar and delicious artisan vendors in the 'Stro! :) Eventually, the 2nd level will open to classes such as cheese making, fermenting, pickling and canning classes which I've participated looonnnng ago when Nicole of FARMcurious taught from her home. A welcome addition to Castro Valley and see myself visiting again soon. Plenty of street parking and outdoor seating available.

Victor G.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Castro Valley Marketplace after getting lost looking for the Little Free Libraries that used to be in the area. 5 stars for the concept. Castro Valley definitely needs something like this: -let the naysayers say what they want. no one has to come here. it's a choice. u vote with ur $ or if u don't like it, take ur $$ elsewhere. vendors (here or to be here): -Castro valley Natural Grocery -Tomato -Baron's Quality Meats.. -Seven Hills Baking Co. -Amphora Nuera (olive oil, balsamic vinegar) Aug -Akemi Sushi -Oaktown Spice shop-Aug -Cannery Kitchen & Tap -Sept. -Cordial Cellar + Lounge (sept) parking lot in back. no idea how to access it, backtracked after passing marketplace, turning right at lst parking lot on right and kept going till i came to C.V. Marketplace.

Noehmi M.

Yelp
I love this place especially the olive oil shop. The have a great vitamin section and bakery. Miss the spice shop.

Kathleen A.

Yelp
What a great upgrade to the boulevard! My husband and I have visited a few times and love the variety of dining options that are available as well as indoor and outdoor seating. A+for providing some good parking in the back of the marketplace. It gets crowded but you can usually find a spot to park if you creep around the lot. The building is made up of a few different food options (ex. sushi, brews and sandwiches/burgers, pastries) and a nice grocery store with health/whole food options as well as hot foods and some yummy treats. There is a cool wine cellar in the downstairs area as well as some interesting rental spaces upstairs. I think you can host some cooking parties up there which is pretty awesome. One day I am going to figure out how to properly grill a Tomahawk chop steak and pick one up at the butcher shop. Oh yeah, you can also pick up some spices and oils at the other vendors. This place used to be a store I went to growing up and hanging out with my grandma and I am so happy it is now a thriving marketplace for people to enjoy food, music and a good time with friends and family.

Cheley F.

Yelp
This place has you covered for everything you need for breakfast, lunch and dinner! From delicious croissants, pastries and crusty breads from Seven Hills, to Amphora Nueva, with the freshest extra virgin olive oils (high in polyphenols and oleic acid) on tap and delicious balsamic vinegars! Great meats and a small market filled with everything organic- frozen and fresh, vitamins and ice cream - even Boichik Bagels (check the freezer section!)

Juicke C.

Yelp
Watching cooking programs can be influence your food cravings. I know a burger is hardly special but a good craft juicy burger separates the fast food chain restaurants from the gourmet joints. In Castro Valley, home of practically all fast food chain restaurants, the Castro Valley Marketplace offers a variety of nice choices. I have been dying to try this place as I rarely dine downtown Castro Valley, got to give my home town some love. Mid afternoon, a bit late for lunch and too early for dinner, I stopped by. The menu behind and above the counter, I found confusing to my old eyes. Asking the counter person, she pointed out the burger on the board yet I failed to see what she was pointing to but she talked through. Getting old is no fun. I digress. I ordered a medium rare burger, no cheese with a side green salad and iced tea. Though, this place ordered a variety of beers that would have complimented the burger nicely. Off I went to outside sitting where my burger and salad ultimately delivered. Kudos to the chef on the burger for it was truly medium rare. It was lightly dressed and I do like mustard on my burger which I needed to added. The burger was better than I had expected which is a good thing and had enjoyed. The green salad with a vinaigrette dressing was good and I was trying to be health conscious which is an oxymoronic when having a burger. Next time I will go whole hog with fries instead. Overall it was nice dining experience, the burger was very good, service was pleasant though not ex ordinary. I like this experience and recommend it without any reservations. I'm curious about their dinner blue plate specials. Perhaps, next time should I get there at an appropriate time.

Ricca Cathrina E.

Yelp
Place is clean and very organized. Parking can be challenging; we parked on the side of the street by the store front. Staff were friendly and accommodating since it was our first time trying the place.

Candace W.

Yelp
This is an awesome marketplace that has plenty of parking and is a perfect spot for a casual hangout. The cannery has great breakfast options, there is a super cool wine bar in the basement and a Latin restaurant upstairs. The building has a cool warehouse vibe not to mention there's a small grocery store inside where you can buy certain brands that can be hard to find elsewhere. Every time I go I have to get some pastries at the bakery and a bottle of the basalmic vinegar for my salads. Definitely recommend walking through the shops as you don't know what you will find.
