"Some bowling alleys are now multidisciplinary spaces in ways they haven’t been before. Some have bars and dining rooms that stray from familiar bowling-alley fare, such as the Bay Area’s Castro Valley Bowl, with its casual Thai and Laotian stand, Lucky Lane 33 Cafe." - Emma Orlow

Amazing traditional bowling alley, trapped in time...looks like they haven't changed a thing in ever..and why should they because they should not fix what is not broken!! Everything is awesome..the VIBE, people!!,food!!, customer service, and bar..they have some great bowling with affordable prices. My four year old had his first bowling experience and wants to come back soon:) Highly recommended:)

My friend, her dad, and I decided to go bowling here. We live in Fremont and had to commute here because Cloverleaf Bowling at Fremont is permanently closed because it couldn’t survive the COVID pandemic. We want to come here because of how reasonable the bowling game prices are compared with other bowling alleys. It’s $5-6 per bowling game. Even though that the place is not as fancy, it follows the same gameplay (10 frames per game) It also has a food court, but I decided not to eat there because the food items are a bit pricey, but that’s not what really matters. Maybe next time. There was a time when our lane had a problem setting the pins. So, we had to ask the staff to fix it, and it got to the point that we have to go to a different lane due to technical issues. The good news is that our scores are saved after doing that. It was a fun experience bowling with my friend and her dad and I would come back here again. Hopefully, I can score over 100 even though I suck haha!

I expected a more updated design in the middle. The light is kind of gloomy and the atmosphere is not comfortable. In general, we had a fan. I myself have been in America recently and I don't know how things are set up here, but at my home in Ukraine, the bowling alley workers offer clean new socks. The shoes that were given to us are not new... and it remains unknown to me whether the shoes undergo some kind of cleaning or not? So I didn't like that moment with the socks. I did not feel comfortable.

Google
Honestly as far as some of the closer bowling alleys I've been to, even though this place is a bit farther from me but I would say pricing, ambient, cleanliness, and even looking at the menu for food is great! So I would say this is such a nice location of bowling for those in the Bay Area! I do hope to come back next time and try the food, looks like there's many more options rather than the just the usual bowling snacks and food.

This bowling alley is really fun. It's family friendly. Perfect for a group of friends.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The cheese burger and fries were great. The only drawbacks were the restrooms are dirty and rundown. There wasn't much seating near the lanes.

Wanted to try this place out but Mindy had a attitude while giving out basic general information over the phone. Feels very unwelcomeing.

Google
One of the finest bowling alley in this area. It got 32 lanes. Bumpers are for children under 7 yrs of age. My experience was great. Cafe was closed when I visited. Best thing I liked was so many display themes you can choose for your game. My fav was cartoon theme. It was super fun family time.

Yelp
I love some healthy, fun competition- Especially when it is just a mile walk away from home! My husband and I like to pop in every so often and play a round. Front desk is always friendly and lets us know when the leagues will start for the evening, to help us plan our time. They have newer scoreboards that are interactive and give many game types to play. The new seating is pretty awesome as well. I have not tried the bar or restaurant in a long time but they seem to have a good selection at both. They also have a vending machine that is stocked with water- it's important to stay hydrated when bowling! I hope to one day get a locker so we can stash our shoes and balls. Hopefully we will get the call that we are at the top of the waiting list soon! I'm looking forward to spending more time at the bowling alley.

Yelp
This place by far is one of the better bowling alleys in the bay area. Although it is kind of small, it is very convenient and good for family bowling. I know a lot of bowling alleys are closing down due to the big corporations like AMF, Bowlero, and whatsoever. On top of that the cost for these big corporation ones are ridiculously steep and sometimes super busy. I've been bowling pretty much since I was 20 years old, stopped here and there, on and off the lanes and now I am back just to be active. This year I recently started picking up bowling again more actively with a friend of mine, who actually dedicated a lot of time and have been significantly better since beginning of the year. Castro Village is conveniently located in the heart of Castro Village shopping center amidst a lot of retail and restaurant. This alley has about 35 lanes but it gives the homey feeling where you can come and play and practice and relax. For about 5 to 7 bucks you can get per game which is a really really good deal. Also, a Thai restaurant and a little bar, you can come and have a great time chasing turkeys. I believe there is league bowling throughout the day and night on certain days of the week. Now I'm not that good of a bowler but I keep my scores around 150-175 which is not too shabby for a hobby. The lanes are great. They recently updated their seats, so nice and clean. I can't speak for the balls because I have my own balls and shoes but I'm sure you understand how house balls and shoes are. Overall for the price and location, you can't beat this place compared to the Big corporation alleys. This would be a good place to host a birthday parties or hang out. Have some fun for some turkeys and knock some pins down.

Yelp
Highly recommend this bowling alley! Def one of the cheaper bowling alley in the Bay Area with $5 a game. I don't think you can find that anywhere during peak hours these days!

Binh T.

Yelp
I went 6:30-8:30pm last Friday night. It wasn't so busy, until later. They have a break between 8:30-9pm. The waitress kept coming back and took our orders, and cleared empty glasses. She was very hard worker, sweet and attentive. When we return at 9pm, there were unlimited games until 11pm. We had to wait in line outside for a while to get security search. They were really strict , but I appreciate it. But I didn't like how crowded and loud it got. A Lots more kids second time around and screaming all night. I advise don't stay later, because it's mostly young kids.

Laquinea S.

Yelp
Con: It has a horrible odor, and smells like mold, it was clean though. Pro: It's inexpensive, so if you want recreation on a budget, it's your place.

Yelp
0 stars if I could. THE worst service EVER!!!!!! Not only was dis our party have to wait in a HOUR LINE for a half empty bowling alley, IM PREGNANT and the lady at the front door swore I was going to drink alcohol. Every single team member from the security, the front door person, clean up crew EVERYONE. For a ran down facility, this place is NOT WORTH the cover fee. They shit EVERYTHING DOWN right @ 11pm and scream on the over head for people to legit run out the building. NEVER WILL I BE BACK!!!! Go to the bowling alley in alameda! Same price and WAY BETTER SERVICE. BOWLERO ALAMEDA bc this place (Castro valley bowl) is TRASH!!!!!!

Joanna T.

Yelp
Castro Village Bowl is an unassuming place that has no bells and whistles but simply provides a good, safe place to bowl. You can't beat the prices for bowling here and on a weekend afternoon, the wait is around 20 minutes for a lane. The bar doesn't open until 5:00pm and at the risk of sounding like an alcoholic, it would be nice to offer drinks earlier on a weekend. If you are trying to have a party where they play top 100 hits with lanes that have crazy lights and you're there more for the ambiance, check out another place. For the bowling enthusiast, this is a great place to bowl.

Yelp
Came for bowling, and stayed for Laos food. The bowling alley is a bit outdated but it's a good spot to get some games in with friends and fam. Once you lower expectations, it's not that bad. Service may not be the warmest but they get the job done. There is a restaurant and a bar inside. The in-house restaurant has a large menu but what stood out was the Laos food option. Being Southeast Asian, we definitely tried many traditional plates. The Laos sausage was delicious, the nam khao is a must. I devoured the shrimp egg rolls. There's all also chicken tenders and fries for the kiddos. It was a good time with good company.

Yadira R.

Yelp
I had very bad experience I was on the wait list for more then 1 hour they never call my name when I went to ask for it they told me I have to wait 1 more hour for open the lines but it was no sure if we can play my little daughter she was so sad because it was her fits time play bowling will never coming back....

Yelp
Based on other reviews, I thought they may have been joking about the folding chairs... nope, still saw a lot of them. Luckily we got lanes that had plastic/metal chairs that weren't the folding type. For the prices they charge, I'm totally cool with it. I'm actually really surprised they had a scoring system where we could have our pictures by our names + different themes to choose from + suggestions of where to throw it to knock'm all down (you're funny if you think we're that accurate). Even more impressed that their system kept stats on everyone's bowls (even miles/hour of our throws). One of our lanes showed the MPH immediately afterwards. On our other lane, we had to dig into the stats to find it. They had a variety of balls and finger hole sizing for everyone in our group (small high schoolers / college-aged / older adults). For one of the cheapest rates in the area, I appreciate what they offer and will look forward to coming back.

Yelp
I like this bowling alley I bowl here on Tuesday nights. It's a pretty good crowd. Staff is wonderful. The food is cool great atmosphere. So if you. Got kids bring them. To hang out and ball

Yelp
Good place to relax with friends and family , the kitchen has some snacks and drinks too . The tracks are in good condition and the everything works as intended.

Jenny F.

Yelp
We had a party of 5, shared one lane, played 2 games, and the whole thing cost $75, including shoe rental. Just $5/game/person and $5 shoes rental. The games are automatically scored on a digital scoreboard making this a super casual experience for us-folks who know nothing about bowling. It was so easy and so fun. It is just 5 blocks from the Castro Valley BART station. We enjoyed doing something different and not breaking the bank. Oh! And the food was mostly Thai/Laos and super yummy. We had veggie egg rolls and Thai iced tea. I mean, who would've thought you'd have Thai food in a bowling alley? We'll definitely return.

Aliyah Y.

Yelp
So we show up at 9 for unlimited bowling and there's a line all the way out the door. For whatever reason they take over an hour to let everybody in & by then they tell us we have until 11 to bowl. At this point we just pay since we already killed an hour of our time. We get in & the bar and snack bar are CLOSED! It's barely 10 and they're closing. So you basically only get to bowl. Then it hits 11 & you don't even get to FINISH YOUR ONE GAME!!!! So you paid $20 for "unlimited bowling" to barely play ONE GAME. We will never return to this establishment again the worst bowling experience I've had in my life. All they care about is taking your money. $100 WASTED!

Dee W.

Yelp
The bathroom was ok the customer service at the bar was ok but a strong Long Island. We didn't know at 1st it was cash only so when I went to pay the bartender he was kinda rude talking mess to other people at the bar when i went to pay with cash.. We were recommended to use the ATM which we did but still it wasn't appropriate at all. The lanes seating were tooooo close together and they have like folding chairs. The food was store bought fried shrimp which umm I guess ok for this establishment. But bring the right folks and you will have fun

Connie W.

Yelp
What a waste of time! We were going there for a work party and we were about to get a lane then they said u can get a lane but you have to leave by 8:30 to get in line outside until 9 for $20 bowling until 11 pm! We were prob the 6th group in line! By the time they were gonna let us in we would've gotten to the lanes by 10 and only had an hour to bowl! So instead we left and went to applebees! I wasn't even going to bowl ( I just had shoulder surgery) I just wanted to sit there w my husband while he played... I still had to pay $20! So instead we spent $30 at Applebees ate, and didn't have to leave til 1am! It was very disorganized and it's like they didn't even care how long they were taking! All 13 of us left and went to eat!

Yelp
If you're looking for a classic bowling alley feel, this is the place! I used to come here with friends and recently picked up bowling as a new hobby, so I've been bowling here pretty often as of lately. This bowling alley offers "Kids Bowl Free" which is such a great deal for kids to enjoy the sport. They get 2 free games every day between 12-5pm all summer long. I forgot how great bowling is for the family and bonding. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They don't have the benches like traditional bowling alleys but instead have folding chairs. I'm assuming it was due to covid and having the ability to move your chairs away from others was crucial. The lanes are maintained and they have updated screens (see pic). The house balls are bit oily but I was somehow able to bow a 203 for the first time! I decided to buy my own ball and can't even reach that now.. haha The food bar is also great! They make my tater tots just like I like them (crispy). They also have a great Thai selection if you want something besides traditional bowling food. The food team is friendly and fast. Highly suggest this place if you live locally and want an old school bowling alley. They also have unlimited bowling every Friday and Saturday night from 9-11pm for $20/person (shoes included in the price).

Aiden L.

Yelp
This place did not have ramps for kids and did not accept Apple Pay which was very inconvenient.

Mary D.

Yelp
Yahoo! What a fun place! Great prices. Great food. We had a blast here with my 9 year old. So much fun!

Emily T.

Yelp
This bowling alley seems a little run down... The prices are good on certain days and times. We came on a Saturday night and it was really busy. There was a line out of the door and they even had security checks at the door. They checked bags/ had a metal detector which I thought was sketchy since it was a bowling alley. The bowling alley's themselves had limited seating which was just fold out chairs. The rent out shoes seemed really old and not very clean. Probably won't be back.

Dalya M.

Yelp
Great value and ambiance. Friendly patrons and staff. Good music and simple shoe rental. Bowling balls galore. Onion rings were tasty! Not sure why this place has such a low average rating.

Alecea L.

Yelp
I'm going to be the first one to say it Manor Bowl in San Leandro is GONE! We. As locals kinda let it happen. Don't let that happen to this classic local institution. It was a hot day summer day in the Bay Area today. My family and I decided to go in and play three rounds of bowling. The AC was blowing and customer service was great. The lanes have been updated, but don't have the same bench seating they used to have. We were stuffed on metal chairs kind of closely packed in but either way our family still enjoyed our game. The snack bar is cash only. I'm not sure if the bar is either but I pay cash at a bar either way and tip respectfully. With as hot as it was today I would return to a local institution such as this one any day. This place has AC and drinks flowing a plenty. Support your local business.

Yelp
I attended this place last night with my family for a night of family bowling. Many of us traveled from as far as Sacramento for this family night of fun. Unknowing to us, we were only getting 2 hrs of bowling for $20 per person. You had to pay $20 rather you bowled or not. The line was long and moving extremely slow. As my family arrived they were told they had to go to end of the line and couldn't join us even though 3 lanes were blocked for us. A lot of my family came from far away and was told it didn't matter they had to stand in line and wait. Mind you, you only get 2hrs to bowl from 9pm to 11pm so the clock is ticking as there waiting in line and the lanes are blocked waiting for them. They were finally able to join us at 10pm and still had to pay $20 and was able to get 1 game. My dad arrived at 10:30 and was not going to bowl but wanted to say hello to the family. He was told he had to pay $20 regardless to them closing at 11pm. (30 minutes) My uncle who is my dads brother walks up and listens to my dad and I talking to the security guard and asked the security guard, so are you telling me that I just paid $20 for 1hr to watch my family bowl. The security guard then says I've already explained to him he has to pay if he wants to come in. My uncle says I'm talking about me. The security guard then says well I've explained and I can call the sheriff if there's a problem. We couldn't believe it. This place is charging like it's a cover charge to get in a night club. There was not any music playing. They let you in at 9pm and had last call for the bar at 10pm, not to mention there's still a line of people who are still waiting to bowl at this time. They are not on one accord. One worker told me I can go ahead and pay for my family that was in line so when they come in they can go ahead and bowl but there was a lady with dirty blonde hair who said no that wouldn't be fair because of everyone that's in line. My response was but your holding the lane for them why can't I pay now. She couldn't answer. It was a terrible decision to have our family night there and we will not return. I only gave one star because that's the only way it would post. Sincerely, Disappointed

Miranda E.

Yelp
After the departure of our dearly beloved Albany Bowl, I've been searching for a bowling alley that takes bowling somewhat seriously. NO giant TVs, NO ultra-loud music, NO $45 bowls of liquor. Castro Village Bowl delivers! The lanes are well-oiled and while the balls and shoes have seen a lot of years, they're good enough for casual play if you don't have your own. Music was great for the vibe, our lane had some breathing room from other groups, and people there were pretty good about keeping their masks on. And the price is right: I paid $26.50 for two shoe rentals and four games. Bar is cash only (ATM on site), snack bar has an extensive menu of fried treats, tacos, and pad thai (only tried the tater tots myself) but takes cards. The lanes take cards too. The pic has their hours as of October 2021.

Christina S.

Yelp
Went there with coworkers... The OLD lady that was the cashier was SOOO rude EXTREMELY off putting. And going thru the reviews I KNOW I am not the only one that feels this way. She needs to reevaluate her attitude bc if I was not with coworkers she would have gotten a few VERY UNKIND words from me. Please train your employees to leave their attitude outside when they clock in.

Veronica W.

Yelp
I wish I could leave a more positive review as this is my favorite local bowling alley to frequent, but my last visit left me in physical pain. I have a hand injury that has flare ups sometimes and when I asked for a smaller ball to accommodate my disability I was told the smaller size was for kids only. I explained I have an injury and they still told me no. Only after my partner asked them again did they decide to help. There were no kids present this day, otherwise I would understand the hesitation to loan me a light ball. I feel there was no excuse for their lack of care towards their patrons. I spend good money here and now I'll think twice about visiting in the future.

Edmundo C.

Yelp
Why would any decision-maker offer an unlimited games event that creates a long line and takes too long to administer all the consumers wishing to support this sport and establishment???? Baffling and there is no reason to support this event...and highly questioning supporting this place as a whole. The 2nd star are for the folks working this unlimited games event and did not have a say in this...

Levi L.

Yelp
I've been going here since I was little. I had two of my birthdays here and don't regret it at all. The atmosphere is so nice and the bowling leagues keep things interesting. The workers there are so nice and not to mention their food is astronomical. Makes me feel little again. But a recommendation, please give some sort of education on bowling rules and norms. Like watching out for fellow bowlers and making sure you aren't standing in the way of others. Its a hassle when someone is standing almost directly in front of me when I'm trying to practice.

Sary O.

Yelp
Is a nice place to hang out with friends. However, it would be really appreciated if they keep the "Professional Bowling Group" on the lane against the wall. This way they would leave the newcomers in their own lanes. They believe they own the bowling lanes and take all the room. Will not go on another Sunday if I have to deal with a rude crowd.

Cnk K.

Yelp
The atmosphere is great. The food, except from the fries, is horrible. How can you mess up a sourdough cheese sandwich. It was worse than cardboard. Tried to exchange it for more fries but couldn't do that. If you get food, stick with the fries.

Dawn D.

Yelp
Took my son here for his 12th Birthday. First time there . The staff was really nice and helpful .

Annalesa C.

Yelp
We enjoyed ourselves, but I did think it was weird that they had folding chairs instead of like an actual bank of seat where everyone could sit more comfortably.

Keshawna A.

Yelp
Where do I begin. . .it's $20 for ages 0 - 100 whether you are bowling or not. Bowling begins at 9pm, but the check in process if you are not within the first three groups could take approximately 30 mins or more which cuts into your time to bowl which ends at 11pm sharp. To top it off, this winter has been exceptionally cold, but they could give to craps about keeping their patrons in the cold in efforts to maintain their slow as heck check in process. By the time you get in, kitchen is closing and drinks were announced last call by 10:15pm. You get to the bar and it is cash only pointing me to their ATM. In 2023 who in the world does not accept any form of non-cash payment?! Talk about a complete rip off! ! ! Suggestion: check in should begin much earlier which such a check in process that takes longer than going through TSA at any given airport that way patrons could begin bowling at 9pm; We couldn't even get done with 1 game for $20 freaking dollars! ! ! And I won't even critique these banquet hall folding chairs! ! ! Nope, do not waste your time, energy, or money.

Irena S.

Yelp
I'm actually pretty surprised how low this place is rated on Yelp, but maybe it's not great during busy hours. Came here on a Thursday around 1:30pm with some friends (we're all currently funemployed, so you know, go bowling during the day with all the athletic elderly people in a bowling league). According to my Castro Valley native friend, this place has special deals on Wednesday/Thursday during the early afternoon where you have cheaper games. We paid $6 for 2 games + shoe rentals (if you want to play an additional game, you have to buy another 2 games for another $6, so you might as well play 4 games). This bowling alley is more high-tech than others I've been to (like Cloverleaf in Fremont), the machines where you type in your name are more like tablets, and you take photos of your face that the tv scoring screen will use to make funny animations of you and your friends dancing/bowling/doing weird stuff. You can also use your tablet machine thingy to "message" other lanes (they have a message on there that says they're NOT responsible for what other players message you lol...like is someone going to talk trash to a stranger in a different lane hahaha). Service was pretty standard, we only had one glitch in our lane where the screen and bowling mechanisms froze. We came at an empty time (like literally maybe 5 other lanes were in use) so I can't really say how it functions during prime bowling hours. Not a bad option during the day though and pretty cheap!

Alaya W.

Yelp
First time here. It's a nice spot! They have great food, there were a lot of food choices. We had a good time. Me and my family. I love their veggie egg rolls!! It does not have an arcade, but it works! The bar is good, they make good drinks also.

Amber R.

Yelp
I'm Only giving this place 3 stars because we enjoy coming here & the snack bar food is bomb!!! I've been here twice with my family & both times the bartender is beyond rude !!!! No one wants to come for a fun night out and deal with such a negative person! There alcohol tasted watered down as well... Have fun, get food ... coconut shrimp & Thai tea were soo good!!! Stay away from the bar....

Victoria N.

Yelp
Sandy was very rude. Everyone else working at the bar is kind. We've been here multiple times, and never had a great experience with Sandy. She has a nasty attitude while serving drinks and needs to learn how to be a better bartender.

Shaun H.

Yelp
We used to come here all the time b4 COVID. Went here last night for their bowling night. The cover charge went up from $16 to $20. I don't mind that at all. I know they need to recover from COVID too. Why I'm rating one star is because they are taking advantage of parents with children under a year old. They will charge you $20 for infants who they know that can't play or do anything. Further more they don't even have aids for kids to roll the ball so even if you wanted your kids to pay they can't. If your parents of infants don't go here. They are taking advantage and they know it. I talked to the manager and she didn't even really care. I'm finding another bowling alley to go to. If I could give 0 stars I would. Until they stop being greedy I'm not interested in coming back.

Arleanne D.

Yelp
If I could give this place a negative star, I WOULD. My family, friends, and I decided to go bowling and take my son to his first bowling alley experience. We decided to go here since it was closest and more convenient to drive to. First and foremost, we had a hard time finding the actual entrance as we tried several doors and had to walk all the way around to finally reach the "main entrance." Security guards were nice, were understanding of me bringing all of my 9 month old's essentials. Bags got checked and went through self checks, they used metal detectors on everyone. Which was comforting considering all the chaos going around in public places, I appreciated that. Security guard was nice enough to let me bring my son's water inside. Mask mandate in Alameda County started the day of but none of us had any masks, luckily security was kind enough to provide us with free masks. Then the shit show begins. We get through security and headed to the front desk where we had to pay for our lanes and shoes. The white women with green hair was a complete racist and should not be working in customer service especially with her disgusting attitude. She explained the rules (REPETITIVELY) as if we didn't hear her the first couple of times. She mentioned that we all had to pay $20 each, which of course wasn't a problem then she mentioned my son had to be included with that charge. My son is 9 months old, can't even walk, better yet can't even bowl so I asked why and she said it was part of the rules. We complied and had our form of payments ready. She kept mentioning that we had to pay for the baby, as if we weren't going to do so??? She then repeated it over 5 times and at that point I was getting frustrated. Her whole attitude was garbage. I dont understand how she can work in customer service around the youth and older individuals and have that type of personality within a work space. Completely unacceptable. Her commentary and side remarks were rude and threw off my whole mood that night. ON TOP OF THAT, she asked if we would be drinking that night and to provide valid ID. I of course did not have my id because my wallet was stolen prior to that night but I did have a valid passport. Showed her my passport and she denied it because she couldn't scan it?? Last time I checked, passports were VALID forms of ID. Im a 27 year old mother, LOL. I have no reason to come up in there and lie about my age. She then made it loud and clear, REPEATED herself and stated that those who aren't drinking need to put on a white wrist band. I was putting on my bowling shoes while managing a child, the least she could do was be patient for me to finish rather than being extremely eager. She repeated it again and I lost my mind. Never again will we be coming back to this establishment. The whole time we were bowling, she kept an eye on us as if we were the stars of the show. What mind boggled me the most was, She was very nice and attentive to her own race. For her to show that kind of attitude around MY son who is just starting to understand the world is CRAZY to me. Have some respect for others. I can literally go on and on and explain things into further detail but all of this should be a good enough review to not bring your family and friends here.

Yelp
THIS PLACE NEEDS AC or AT LEAST SOME FANS Went here on a hot day (90 degree weather) around 7pm and it was a big mistake. It wasn't that crowded at first but once our party started bowling and more people trickled in, it was so hot. They don't have AC or any fans blowing. They only have some ceiling fans. The doors aren't open, there aren't any windows so you're basically hot boxed in. They require you to wear masks throughout the whole time as well. I don't mind wearing a mask but have you ever tried to bowl in a mask with no proper air circulation? HOT HOT HOT Masks + no AC / proper air circulation + crowded = BIG NO They make a big deal about wearing your masks throughout the whole time (staff will enforce it) which is great but come on, at least provide proper air circulation! It was so hard to bowl while sweating bullets. Bar only takes cash (why??) - and it's tucked in a corner. If your party wants to drink, they all have to go there to show ID. Laos/Thai food was pretty good (lady working there did not wear a mask though) They have security guard walking around Bowling staff were ok $5 per person per game $4 per shoe rental $20 cover charge for unlimited bowling after 9pm (they charge everyone. Even a one day old baby)

Yelp
This is the place to go for a family fun day or just any day, everyone here and I mean everyone here is just so nice, treats you with nothing but respect. I visit her often before COVID, I'm glad they are back open. Way to go!!!

Yelp
Positives: was told by a relative that it was only $8.50 for 3 games between 9am-12pm on Sundays, and that covered shoe rental as well. WOW. Have yet to hear of a bowling spot in the bay area with that type of deal on a weekend day. Planning to check this place out someday. Negatives: none so far

Yelp
I only come here for $1.50 games on Mondays when I have the day off. Totally worth it. The most recent time my friends and I bowled 5 games. $7.50. Thats basically 5 games for the price of regular pricing! Very tiring though. Bowling balls come as low as 6lbs. Lots of chips on balls and the lanes are older. Sometimes the lane resetter breaks down, but not too much of a problem. Staff has been nice to us the times I've been there in the afternoon. There is not really much of a wait even though Presidents Day had a ton of kids. Only waited 10 mins to get a lane. Parking is pretty easy.

Yelp
My boyfriend tends to think he is a professional, so we like to come on their discount nights because I am a terrible bowler. We love the $1.50 games because that way I don't feel guilty doing something he likes and me sucking at it. The girls who usually work the counter are very sweet and get us to our lanes quick. Obviously if it's busy that's no one's fault, they also try to accommodate everyone as soon and as fast as they can.

Yelp
This place is a older spot, but they have updated big time. They even have a Thai food spot inside and the food is great! All the lanes have been updated to new systems that even connect to other bowlers on different lanes, meaning you can even text your friends sitting all the way down at the other end of the bowling alley. Pretty sweet. You can even take selfies to put up in the screen next to your name, so you everyone can match a face to the name. The bathrooms were updated too, and they even recycled the old bowling lanes as wall covering. Pretty slick idea if you ask me. I really like this place, is small, but a great place to have a good time with some friends and family.

Yelp
This place is just aweful. My family and I wanted to bowl last night. We called at about 7, and they said it's best to come after they clean the lanes at 8:30pm. Doors open at 9, be there by 8:45 because a line starts to form. So we were there at 8:30. We were 5th in line at first. Apperently those 5 people though were holding spots for a bunch of other people so by 9, there were now like 15th in line. Besides all that, they have security at the door. Super serious right. Checking bags purses, and holding up the line. By the time we got to the front, this security guard tells us we have to wait even longer for someone to decide to leave. What? I asked why. That set the tone for a completely horrible next 10 min. He proceeded to degrade me and my family. Even when I asked him to calm down because my 7yr started to get scared, and told my 7yr to stop his crying and then said we should just probably leave since my son was upset because it wouldn't be any fun now. WTF? I called the manager over and he did nothing to help. This guy laid in the me for ever if felt like. We left by choice btw, it did not feel right to go in after how he spoke to myself, my husband, my 16yr old and my 7yr directly. Also, so $20 cover charge for 4, ($80) plus food, for 9-11pm, and IF we went in, we would only bowl from 9:55 to 11 and been treated like crap and harassed at the door. These guys were very abusive, very aweful, I will never go back. This happened last night and I'm still stressed about how they made us feel. Anyone else experience these security officers before, please leave input. Thank you. Horrible place. Just awful.

Yelp
The unlimited bowling promotion on Friday nights from 9p.m to 11p.m. is a hustle. They don't allow you to come in until 9 but you have to get screened by the sheriffs deputies first, then there's an additional wait so the desk to allow to desk to help the party before you. So by the time you begin bowling, it's closer to 9:30 p.m. We went last night with a party of 40 on 8 lanes and we only had time for 2 games before they closed. Not to mention they charge everybody, even infants, whether you're bowling or not. I complained to the desk that they needed to start checking people in before 9p.m. because their process is long and costs the customer time. She told me she knows but they've been doing it that way for 10 years. This is a hustle! Last thing, when I spoke to them on the phone to confirm the promotion, the lady suggested I get in line earlier because customers hold up the line. Trust me, it's not the customers, it's them. I'm going somewhere else next time.

Yelp
I don't understand why people rate this place so low. I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago (On a Saturday at 6 pm) because their rate is very reasonable compared to other places. The lanes aren't that bad and people complain just to complain. For example, some people took pictures of rust on the floor where the old computer controller use to be, but totally disregarded that it was been upgraded to a touch screen tablet, which makes setting up super easy. Other places you have to fight the computer just to get one button to work, they remodeled everything else but that. Also, what other bowling place do you know that serves Thai food? I was very skeptical about it, and it's pretty damn good. I would also like to add that their burgers are probably one of the best bowling alley burgers I have ever had. Way better compared to other bowling alleys. I never had an issue with the staff. It was a pretty busy night and they were pretty responsive when our pins got stuck twice. I would definitely come back here again. All those people that complain, please be truthful to your word and go elsewhere so I can enjoy my time here.
