This place has the best Avocado toast. The pea shoot greens on top with lemon juice and seasonings made it absolutely delicious. The service is fast and courteous., with good music playing at a nice volume to encourage conversation. The atmosphere is nice. The coffee shop is tucked into an inviting square, at the back of the museum, away from the street. The coffee is great too. I highly recommend stopping here for coffee and refreshments.

Nestled within a corner of Abbott Square Market. The 8oz hot cap was excellent (8.5 out of 10 stars). Beautiful pink-blue motif across bags of beans, take-away cups etc. very congenial baristas.

Who serves iced coffee like this? And $7 for this size of coffee? This is one of the most pathetic coffee experiences we have had, wish I could rate them in negative. If you’re rich and love spending money on foolish things, here’s an example, never coming back.

Absolutely amazing tasting espresso, nice and strong . Employees were super friendly. Location is in a courtyard next to the museum.

Hot latte ($5.25) was of decent quality (they even made it an upside down latte-thank you for that). Baklava roll was nice too. Baristas and cashier are super friendly. Sadly, they serve drinks in paper cups. Also, it's not a stand alone coffee shop and it's difficult to find this place, which I didn't like.

Sweet coffee shop - located in food court next to museum. Staff were super friendly and happy to make recommendations. I had the overnight oats and a cappuccino - both delish! A tip: this is a great spot to escape the bustle of pacific avenue. Just one block back, with tons of seating, inside and outside.

The coffee shop is located inside Abbott Square Market. The seating area is a public space within the market. I ordered a mocha and a cappuccino, both were very hot and delicious. The mocha was topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon, adding a delightful aroma. There’s a large number of people so we had to wait for some time upon receiving our order.

Best cup of coffee I've had in weeks! I've stopped at coffee shops all along the West Coast for the Radical Rebounding Tour. We seek out the best cup of coffee everyday. In Santa Cruz, this is it! You can buy bags of their roasted magic to bring along with you too. The building and space are great. Trust Google maps to get you here. There are no great signs. It's in the plaza next to the museum. There's other great restaurants here too. But forget them and grab the great go juice!!! It put the bounce in my step today.

This is now my favorite cafe in Santa Cruz. Great drinks, nice staff, dedicated parking... What more can you ask for? Actually, I haven't had an espresso here in a long time. I think they do a medium roast. I prefer a dark roast. In any case, I really like this place. I ordered a large chai latte with almond milk. It was practically perfect. Either the chai is made by them or some local company. I'm not sure. I liked it because it was about half as sweet as the chai at Starbuck's or Peet's. Also, the foam on top was perfect and it was sprinkled with some cinnamon. Yum. My daughter also really enjoyed her peach iced tea. I always know when it's good if she wants me to try it. I will be back.

Very good café. They have a good variety of drink and a small food menu to choose from with interesting dishes to try. People behind the counter are very kind, and will answer any and all coffee questions. I ordered the Avocado Toast, it is was very yummy. Needed to add a little salt, but other than that it was a big portion at a decent price, and interesting ingredients that paired well together that I wouldn't have thought of otherwise!

My friends and I were going through all the receipts after her 1 week vacation so we can pay each other back correctly. However, when we were splitting up the bill from Cat & Cloud, we realized that our drinks were rung up for to go (though we answered "for here" when asked). So it wasn't like they accidentally made our drinks to go - they already charged the cup fees and weren't going to make them for here to begin with! I find that really shady. Furthermore, we split the bill 3 ways with our own drinks + cup fee + tax + tips and somehow it added up to $16.36 - but I was charged $17.36. What was $1 and why wasn't it listed? Again, shady. I understand that $1.75 isn't a big deal, but it's $1.75 that I wasn't even aware of! The entire experience wasn't great to begin with and it just gets worse and worse. I emailed their customer service a few days ago but have yet to hear back.

You'll never have a better hot vanilla latte and hot mocha in your life! The amazing crew here is top notch, especially Sol, Selma, and Raven. Every cup they pour is always consistently the best coffee, first sip in the morning perfection.

Always been a big fan of Cat & Cloud. Didn't know until today that this location was here. This is a great spot to grab your coffee if you're walking through the downtown area and into the shops. Cat & Cloud uses high quality coffee and it's delicious. It's a cool location in a larger overall food shop market that's nestled on Cooper St. the service here was great and quick. If there's any drawback at all, it's not the location where you'd go and grab a coffee to sit and study or read, and it's not the greatest spot to sit and be social unless you're outside on the common patio. But Cat & Cloud is definitely worth a visit!

Excellent all around. I ordered a seasonal Mexican mocha less sweet with almond milk and it was made to perfection. This location is inside of the food hall downtown Santa Cruz. The barista was quick with the order and all the staff were friendly. Quality of coffee was good too.

I absolutely loved the market this cozy little spot was nestled in--it added to the charm of the experience. I ordered the Chai, which had a gentle, subtle flavor. While it wasn't particularly bold or standout, it was satisfying and got the job done. A nice option if you're looking for something simple and comforting.

The theme of this small cafe is so cute! I love the light blue and pink colorations of their products and interior. This location occupies a small "marketplace" of sorts, surrounded by many other foods. Servers were exceedingly friendly and jovial, contributing to a good experience at any coffee shop. The cappuccino has a rich cream and developed coffee flavor. It's not too acidic and the mellow flavor is quite enjoyable for a casual coffee drinker like me. Otherwise, I have nothing to add on! Nice workers, good coffee, and cute interior.

Nice little cafe next to other cafes/restaurants in downtown. They have tables and chairs for everyone dining in their cafe or any of the other cafes next to them. There's a restroom at the back, but you have to get the code from them. So, I came here to grab an avocado toast. (I already got me coffee somewhere else so I didn't have the chance to try theirs, but will come back for it next time) The avocado toast was good, tho it wasn't the best. The people here are very friendly. I will come back :)

This place is so cute! I love the pink & blue decor and the lighting is so nice. I wasn't sure what to get so I asked the staff what they recommend for sweet drinks, I ended up getting a vanilla ice latte and it was so good!! Perfect amount of sweetness and it's nice they can make it decaf too. It was a little pricier (almost $7) than I hoped. Also I wish that was on the menu too since the menu seems super limited so I'm not sure if you actually do just have to ask what other drinks they have. The staff were incredibly friendly though :)

I love Cat & Cloud. I have visited other locations but was the first time visiting this downtown location. We stopped by to pick up some coffee & food on the way to the boardwalk. There is metered street parking & a nearby lot. This location is indoors shared with other food places. They do have a limited food menu that differs from the other locations. We had to get the other C&C Breakfast Burrito since the other Breakfast Burrito is one of my favs. Despite eating it on the beach, it was still hot! it tasted delicious & the tortilla had a nice crunch to it. I just wish they gave more green sauce. We had ordered a vanilla latte & a mocha & those were both creamy & perfect too. Their baristas were so nice to talk to as well. Will definitely be coming back!

First time here! Sunday afternoon it was time to finally try this place out! I've seen and heard about this place for a while now as I pass through it so many times, but haven't tried it until today! I had to try out the basics first, so I ordered a small Iced Vanilla Latte (half and half)! First sip and it was delicious! It was a great balance between sweetness and caffeine taste- Need to note that it costs around 7~ Cat & Cloud Coffee is inside Abbott Square with other food restaurants and a mini dive bar! As being said there's seating all around the indoor & outdoor area. I'd definitely come back, thanks Cat & Cloud for this 5/5 drink!

Saw tons of people go to their other location near the beach, so went to check this out and it didn't disappoint! Luckily this location is in a downtown food hall, so it stays open later than the other locations (which close at 3pm). Ordered the iced vanilla latte and hot chai. The iced vanilla latte was good, smooth and with a hint of vanilla. The hot chai was amazing though! It was so warm with the right amount of spice. Service was quick and staff were so friendly. There's lots of seating here since it's in a food hall. For parking, you may have to find a paid parking garage unless you luck out with street parking.

Came here after dinner and a day at the beach. It's tucked inside a small market hall with a few other foot spots and dessert spots. Seems like a nice spot for college kids to hang out. I got a honey latte, which was nice and comforting, but nothing super memorable. The creamy beige was described as a coffee milk shake, and it tasted exactly like melted coffee ice cream. Definitely good if you like sweet drinks! The packaging of their coffee beans looks so nice, I was almost tempted to get it just because of that. Maybe next time!

My boyfriend and I started a tradition on our getaways to find a local coffee shop to support. The Cat & Cloud did not disappoint. The latte was delicious and the pastry was savory. The people taking orders were friendly and courteous. The coffee shop had indoor and outdoor seating that gave you the full experience of the beautiful weather of Santa Cruz. Overall recommend this place if you want a nice cozy coffee shop.

Showing off the cups of hot chocolate I've had over the course of 2024. Consistently perfect both in taste and in service, everyone who works there is always so kind and pleasant. Cat and Cloud will always be the first place I recommend to my loved ones when we need a sweet treat. While my sweet of choice is clear, their pastries are also very tasty!

I visited the Abbott Square location and got a decaf mocha before an evening meeting. I'm glad I did because it was so smooth and tasty that no additions were necessary. The price was in line with ither establishments and the staff members were very pkeasant,, too.

One of the places we tried in Abbott Square Market! We loved the area; there were numerous restaurants to choose from and had lots of indoor and outdoor seating! Service was quick and easy. They just ask for your name and they'll call you when it's done. Hot Chocolate (5/5) ~$6: It's a little expensive for the size you get but it's one of the best hot chocolates we've had yet!

Made a pit stop to Cat & Cloud coffee since my sister needed me to pick some coffee beans for her (recommended by her friends). I got her the ethiopia idido and friend zone decaf. Staff was very friendly. They offered me a sample of their coffee to try out. Sister enjoyed her coffee beans. Street parking can be difficult.

We yelped coffee spots still open late on an October Sunday and this place had popped up with great review ratings so we came here. Parked at a packed parking lot at Trader Joe's & walked . This place is small business owned and inside a mix of different cuisine spots like sandwiches, ice cream and artisan small pizza spots right next to each others let of a like a food court . Next door to the museum. Pretty safe and clean area in downtown close to the cinemas . There is a medium great size courtyard area with plenty of tables and chairs. Looks like a trendy spot for the college students. I will definitely consider having lunch or dinner here in this area as the cashier told me there is music on the weekends. As for the coffee I ordered the creamy beige. It's like a star bucks iced frapp but creamier and you can taste the coffee more than starbies. Excellent and friendly service. The area is family and dog friendly too. I would recommend this coffee spot give them a shot.

The hummus bread was insane absolutely loved it. Great location, although it was a little bit difficult to find.

First time coming here, was greeted right away, staff is very friendly and polite. I got the avocado toast which was delicious and an oat milk chai which was also really good more on the sweater side but still good. Definitely will be back

Boy it breaks my heart to write this review. I'd heard such amazing things about Cat and Cloud, and as someone who has an espresso machine at home and practices the hobby daily, I was looking forward to a great macchiato. Waiting in line, I noted how great their design looked. Marketing is marketing but they looked like they knew what they were doing. I'm sure the beans are roasted well, and I think everything had to do with the barista who made my drink... But that's only an explanation, not an excuse. The drink I got was so watery that the milk didn't even have any visible texture. It was all a flat, uniform light brown. No steaming/froth at all. The espresso was incredibly sour and under extracted. Sadly, I won't be returning. Hope they can develop a more uniform training of their staff

Had a lovely time visiting the actual Cat & Cloud store with my boyfriend who has been subscribed to their beans since the pandemic. I believe they have 3 locations in total and we went to the one located in an open market space with other restaurants. It was quiet when we went so wasn't overwhelming. Glad we went during their down time. The baristas were suuuuuuper friendly and were down to chat and talk about beans, their process and even gave us samples of their coffee to try. It was really overall a lovely experience. Also their latte...tasted like a berry milk. I know it's crazy but their "The Answer"(?) beans have a very strong berry note and I loved their latte soooo much. Hoping to order those beans so we can recreate the latte at home ourselves.

The service was so great and calm they helped me with my order they gave great customer service and recommended the best tasting coffee the ambiance was perfectly worth the coffee

One of my favorite coffeehouses. Please open one in the Bay Area!!! Creamy beige blended drink was so coffee forward and deliciously sweet, and icy and refreshing. Same with the mocha - definitely can taste coffee and chocolate, plus some happy marshmallows and fresh whipped cream on top. Lots of beans for sale. Staff is very friendly.

My regular coffee shop back in LA uses Cat & Cloud beans so I had to visit the mother ship when I was in Santa Cruz, and I was not disappointed :) This Cat & Cloud (they have 4 locations) is located in a food court in the Abbott Square Market and I definitely enjoyed my visit. First off, the two guys manning the shop were super friendly and when they found out I was visiting the area even gave me some recommendations on what to do! But it's all about the coffee right! I had a Flat White and it was one of the best I've ever had!! Rich, smooth and not too hot... Just the way it's supposed to be made. Even the latte art was nice. 5-Stars on the coffee alone!!!!! This will be a regular stop now that I'll be visiting Santa Cruz :)

Delectable coffee. We were on the prowl for coffee when we rolled through Santa Cruz to watch the sunset at the beach! This was a cute place to stop at. Customer service was great. They were very patient. Definitely will be back. We brought coffee home too. I really wanted the expresso cups!!

The coffee is out of this world. The atmosphere has been better and don't get me started on their burrito.

Coffee is yum! I got the mocha with the works, and tried the light beige (a blended drink) with a good bitterness. Saw a pink glazed donut topped with sprinkles and animal crackers and my kids devoured it. I do wish they had bigger size cups. Everything is one size - small - like the "tall" cup that you would get at Starbucks. Friendly baristas. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bowl for doggies to have water.

I tried the creamy beige with an extra shot of expresso but the frap/ blended texture was a bit strange. It wasn't super flavorful even with the extra shot of expresso. Cute vibe though!

Had chai here and it was awesome! Love it since the chai was sweet. I didn't go inside, since my husband got it for me but he said the place is a cool hang out spot. So a note to self: Ima be back if I ever want to hang out with friends.

Why do you never have coffee cup sleeves, and no caramel syrup only vanilla? How is this location even profitable?

5 stars for service, all of the baristas at this location were super friendly and helpful when explaining the menu! 3.5 stars for the drinks. My Chai Latte was a bit too sweet for my liking. I wish the sweetness was more adjustable, but I couldn't adjust since it was made from a premade concentrate. The Creamy Beige was good. It was also quite sweet, but it was marketed as more of a dessert drink so the sweetness made sense. I'd come back here to try more of their traditional coffee drinks. Overall, 4 stars!

Second time popping by while in town. Friendly baristas and really good coffee and espresso. It's a low key place to sit and read or chat on a weekday.

C&C my beloved Staff are always kind and service is fast. Super cute/comfy vibes. An iced mocha (with whip & marshmallows) and a breakfast burrito always hits the spot.

I honestly chose to come here simply because "cat" was in their Cafe name. It was difficult to find them as they are in a building in a food court-esque setting. They are tucked away in the side and almost gave up looking for them. However, I'm glad my stubbornness kicked in and found them. I got their paleo coffee which has mct oil and grass fed butter. I had a 6hr drive ahead of me and this did the trick! Great coffee and adorable merch too.

Cute and simple cafe in the Abbot Square Market, right next to the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. The barista was friendly and helpful, and even shared pointers about the museum. We ordered a customized drink and he was patient and knowledgeable in answering our questions, and made the iced beverage perfectly. There's limited seating inside the market and outdoor seating as well, an inviting atmosphere with not too much foot traffic on a Saturday afternoon. Good experience overall.

I love their coffee and the balanced flavors. If you're looking for a delicious coffee and consistency, definitely a must visit on the list. I typically get oat milk lattes and I think they use Califia Oat milk brand which is a lot less sweet and more flavourful than Oatly. This location is great in the morning before the rush. Everyone is always super nice. I usually come between 8 and 10 am and the line is not long. Oh, and did I mention their pastries are delicious.

Such a cute little cafe tucked away in an indoor market :') incredibly friendly staff, good strong coffee, adorable aesthetic, and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your coffee on a warm summer morning. Definitely coming back here the next time I'm in Santa Cruz! I wasn't quite sure what some of the offerings on their coffee menus meant but the barista was super patient and answered all of my questions! I ordered the Make Out (double shot of espresso filled to the top with milk in a 4oz cup) and my boyfriend ordered an iced mocha! I love the names of their offerings and chose the Make Out solely because everyone needs more kisses in their life. Both drinks were so good! I especially loved the Mocha because I have a sweet tooth but the Make Out is great for a morning boost. The espresso is smooth and nutty, and you can tell they source + brew their grounds with care. The atmosphere is fun, inviting, and welcoming! The hand drawn whimsical cats and clouds instantly made me happier and it's always a plus when you leave a cafe in a better mood than when you came in. Cat & Cloud treated me very well!!

I read the reviews and thought to give this place a shot. It did not disappoint. While my drink was basic, an iced vanilla latte, this is one of the best vanilla lattes I've ever had. The service was also 10/10, everyone looked happy to be there and they were all kind and provided exceptional service. Check this place out if you're in the area. Their colors and designs are also super cute!

Oh why hello. I think it had been a few years since I had visited one of their other locations. But, what I got was friendly service and a not too bad iced latte. It was smaller than expected, but it had a moderately rich and deep flavor. Liked how it wasn't super bitter or sweet. This Cat and Cloud happens to be a part of a larger food court area, so look for either an outdoor patio area or the art museum, and you should be good.

By far, the service is hands down the BEST service I have ever had in a coffee shop. The customer is built on building connections and making memorable interactions. Time and time again, they have gone above and beyond what their mark of customer service. I love going in this place and nerding out on coffee

They were both delicious - smooth, creamy, and a delightful start to our morning. Food: There were many tempting baked treats, and we ended up going with a croissant shaped in a star, with cream cheese filling and everything seasoning. It was delicious, just like the cashier described! Ambience: This cafe shares a building with a few other eateries - the ambience reminds me of a colorful, clean indoor market, with a vibrant outdoor seating also available. Service: The baristas assisting us were so sweet! They were very friendly and complimentary, giving us recommendations for the area and chatting about the aquarium with us.

It seems like something was wrong with their espresso machine. I got an Americano, it tasted like water. My girlfriend got an oat milk latte, it tasted like oat milk. It was really quite bad. The staff was nice though!
