Google
Had two salads, they were fine. However the portions are pretty small and they don't carry ranch! Who doesn't carry ranch especially with serving a Cobb salad?! Not cheap either, but that's the airport for ya. Next time I'll go to max and Erma's!

Google
Surprisingly good seared salmon for an airport restaurant. Service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was the inside of an Airport restaurant, what are you gonna do? Hard to imagine eating anything different if your flight is delayed and it’s lunch/dinner time.

Google
Great service. Layover from 7pm to 9pm, I was in and out in 45 min. I got the lamb burger and Arbor Classic. I loved the food. The fries were not my favorite, but that could just be personal preference.

Google
The shrimp and grits were very good. Just enough spice for me, if you don't like mild heat I'd skip it though. Cheladas (beer & bloody Mary mix) were not good but good enough I had two of them 🙂 My bartender/server Amy was impatient, far from friendly, and had a hint of arrogant intolerance about her. Well, she seemed nice enough to her other customers, not sure what her issue with me was. I am never rude to wait staff. Strange deal. All other bartenders working around me at the bar seemed great, so... 🤷

Google
If you have some time to escape the rush of travel, this is a nice place to do so. Great service (thank you Cheryl) and a bonus that they serve Coke products. The Shepherds Pie was good after adding salt and pepper.

Google
The chicken sandwich was good tasting but man, I wish there would have been some more chicken. This pic was the thickest part of the sandwich. Other than that, the fries were good (they don’t have ranch : /), the service was good and the prices were decent. I’d probably eat here again but not get the chicken sandwich.

Google
The food at this restaurant was absolutely horrible. My family and I ordered burgers and fries, expecting a simple, enjoyable meal. Instead, we were extremely disappointed. The burger patties were completely burnt, to the point that they were dry and had an unpleasant, bitter taste. The fries were not hot at all — they were lukewarm and limp, as if they had been sitting out for a while before being served. To make matters worse, it took 35 minutes for our food to arrive after we placed our order, even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at the time. There was no apology or explanation for the long wait. Overall, the entire experience felt like a waste of time and money. If you’re looking for a place where you can enjoy a decent meal and get in and out in a reasonable amount of time, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Google
It was awful, grabbed some fries to kill some time between flights and they were just a soggy mess, we barely touched them. Just look at the photo, does that look even like the fries are anything but a soggy mess? Cokes had a weird flavor also.

Yelp
Very good food! We loved the atmosphere, and five star Amy is by far the best bartender!

Michelle H.

Yelp
The food was very good, the service was impeccable. the prices. way too high. I wanted a Bloody Mary but it was 20$! a black coffee (nothing fancy just drip coffee) was 6.50. water please! I got a side of grits with cheese (not on the menu) delicious! then I got a side of bacon. big pieces and plenty of them! I loved my waitress. her name is Tara.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Torn between a 3 and a 4 but opted for a 3 because of some if the exchange behind the bar. I loved the person that was taking care of me and she was knowledgeable about the menu and helpful. Another woman stepped in and I found her unprofessional in a overly friendly manner Onto food and furnishings - sat down for breakfast around 10 and was told only 5 minutes left - the signage was wrong but being reprinted so need to order in a friendly way. Got the two eggs with wheat toast and potatoes- potatoes were great, eggs were a little too greasy/oily and the toast was not really the way you expect- it was like wonder bread makes wheat toast ? Would likely go to max & ermas next time for breakfast- the lunches I saw coming out looked pretty tasty

Yelp
3.5 The gnocchi was tender and pillow-y soft but the chicken was extremely driver. The sauce was pretty rich. I personally prefer pesto over tomato sauce but that's just my preference. It wasn't spicy but it had a little heat from the Calabrian peppers. It gave the dish a smoky taste. Very filling and comforting. Service was great, too. Only thing is the chicken. Suggest to order this as is, no protein added.

Yelp
Located across from Gate A23. Had a layover on Christmas Eve. Bless the staff for working today. The hostess wasn't the most friendly -- according to my 6-yr old (I agree), but Cheryl took our order and was lovely. She offered to separate everything for us (root beer separate from vanilla ice cream, slaw and mayo separate from the sandwich in case my son didn't like them since we were sharing a plate. According to my kiddo, this is the best restaurant in the airport because they serve vanilla ice cream. Those aren't the highest standards, so I wouldn't take his word too strongly. The fries were decent and the sandwich was fine. I'd consider eating here again and maybe getting a beer next time since they seem to have a lot of options. Solid 4 stars overall. This restaurant has a high end feel, especially for being located in the airport. There's a gas fireplace which makes the space feel cozy, and pretty chandeliers across the ceiling. Beautiful bar area. Just well decorated overall.

Jason S.

Yelp
It's an airport so you don't expect much but this place was actually very good. The space is inviting with a massive window that let in a lot of sunlight nice change from a normal airport restaurant. The lamb burger cooked medium was delicious. Perfect dinner paired with a beer. Also loved the twice cooked fries. My server Kathy was friendly and welcoming. Overpriced but it's an airport so you expect it. Will definitely be back when I come through Detroit again.

Sheryl T.

Yelp
The Angus Burger is da best! It is dazzled with a fried egg and cooked to perfection! The fries are delicious as well. Highly recommend this spot if you are ever in the Detroit Airport! Great service and and a the ambiance is chill.

Jim R.

Yelp
Let's get the obvious out of the way, it's an airport restaurant. It's expensive and not your typical 5 star establishment. However.... Here is what we liked: * Immediate seating during dinner time. * Ambience was nice. * Service was friendly and attentive. * The twice cooked fries were seasoned well and were tasty. * Got the fried chicken sandwich, actually quite good. * We both commented on how cold our beer was. What could of been better: * The bun on a sandwich of this nature should always be toasted. Always. * Chicken sandwich needed a little bit more sauce and the coleslaw was just ok. Needed something. Overall for a dinner on the go at an airport, this was friendly, fast and good. Would totally do again.

Yelp
Planned to stop in here upon my layover between Chicago. I had heard good things about the French onion soup and wanted to try it out. No problem with seating and got a good set up and view for people watching. Staff was courteous a little busy. I was able to dive in the laptop, waiting for my water and lemon. I ordered the French Onion Soup as well as the Twice Fried Chip thinking they would be a good pairing. Not a long wait but not exactly what I was hoping for. The key to this is for them to be hot and fresh and did not feel that way. The rustic nature of the cut hold up but too cold for my taste. I did not get any of the vinegar until the final note because it had pooled to the bottom. It was not spread out across the fries. being very familiar with this type of fry it did not lineup to what I hope for. The soup was very good and classically done. The melt and char on the top was what you hope for with French Onion Soup, and good consistency inside. You can easily taste the Gruyère. The bread inside did not have any special note, but was serviceable. Overall, I think it is worth checking out if you want the soup, but leave the fries on the side . Also, some really cute salt and pepper shakers too.

Brittany S.

Yelp
Great service! Amy worked great with the other team and looks to enjoy where she is. Super nice and bubbly.

MaryAnn T.

Yelp
Stopped in here last minute after a long flight just wanting a quick bite. They were closing in 25 minutes. My waitress was just as friendly as can be- she did not rush us or give us an attitude. How refreshing is that?!!!! I was cold and hungry so I got the spicy tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich and it was amazing! Talk about comfort food! I was content and ready for the last leg of my journey. I highly recommend stopping in.

Paul A.

Yelp
Price is higher than another restaurant (Coney). $11 vs $8 for a glass of draft beer. Fish and chips $28 vs $17.49 for 3 pieces. And I like fish and chips at the other restaurant more than the one here. In my opinion, the fish and chips here is not properly made. It is soggy, dark, less fries.

Malinee S.

Yelp
I had spicy tomato soup. It is sauce like consistency. I thought I was eating pasta sauce. It is spicy and tomatoey.

Rick P.

Yelp
An absolutely terrible experience from the poor service to well below average food. Plus it's very pricey even for an airport restaurant. I was seated quick as it was later in the evening with very few people in the restaurant or airport. I then proceeded to wait 20+ minutes for any member of the wait staff to show. I then ordered the fish and chip that ended up being extremely greasy and just three small chunks of slimy fish. It was so greasy that it saturated all the fries so they'd become soft and mushy. At this point I just wanted to leave so I could get on my flight. I also ordered the Mac and cheese which was edible but very try and flavorless. I was never asked how my food was or offered anything else. I also never got my drink order. I will never come back.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Since it's in the airport you can't get a steak knife. The steak was served in a bowl which made it even more hard to cut with the butter knife because the bowl got in the way. While the steak I got was cooked medium rare as requested it lacked seasoning. The servers were all fabulous and got drinks to us quick. If I'm ever at this airport again I might try this place again, I would just avoid the steak.

Buffi W.

Yelp
Amy was great with her warm welcoming smile and hospitality. Service was quick and food was good.

Garrett W.

Yelp
I always liked to be called cutie and Amy did. The caesar salad was pretty decent but for sure wasn't made from scratch but I'm a foodie what can I say.

Steve Z.

Yelp
Located in the Detroit Metropolitan Airport, It's typically one of the better restaurants in the McNamara terminal. Had time to kill, so I came in for lunch and a drink. Service was fast and friendly, trying to get you in & out as quickly as you need them to. I had the fried chicken sandwich, a side of fries and a Bloody Mary. The chicken sandwich and the BM were very good, but the fries were soggy/greasy at best (twice cooked fries per the menu description). I think the sandwich is worth getting again, but I would pick something other than fries next time. They have an extensive bar menu, so if it's drinks you're looking for, maybe that's your jam here. I'll be back (likely earlier in the day) as their breakfasts have always been fantastic.

Chelsea M.

Yelp
I seated myself at the bar and the bartender grabbed my drink order and food order quickly. I was actually about the tomato soup and grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was amazing, the tomato soup was nothing to brag about, but the service definitely made up for it. There was music playing, the bar was full and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Tony K.

Yelp
This is all about the food. Stopped in after a long flight and the "Korean" wings were anything but. Some sad excuse for wings not even broken down. Generic bbq sauce in small globs on the wings. All on a wilted bed of salad. Embarrassing.

Kevin M.

Yelp
Amy's Service was great at the airport after we missed our flight. Serves a great drink!

Lisa H.

Yelp
After an unexpected change in travel plans, I headed to Cat Cora's Taproom since I knew her from using one of her Food Network recipes. And the Yelp reviews seemed decent, for an airport of course. I was promptly seated in the dining room. It was pretty empty at first but then started filling up. My server Victoria was friendly and easygoing. The angus burger ($24.50) totally hit the spot. It came with bacon, a fried egg, beer cheddar, and roasted tomatoes. The side of fries were twice cooked, piping hot, and had a nice crunch. I would've subbed the roasted tomatoes with onions since they were a tad odd. Definitely not the tidiest entree to eat but hearty and satisfying!

Jessi C.

Yelp
I've been here a few times while on layovers at DTW. I had high hopes, but alas this place is just kinda blah. I've had the salmon (which was pretty good, well cooked, slightly bland), the chicken sandwich (terrible), fries (meh), and the Mac n cheese (not great). Good ambiance for an airport and the service is good and quick. If not for the salmon, I'd have given 2 stars.

Jami W.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The meat and buttery bun may be too greasy for some, but this is packed with flavor. Highly recommend.

Felicia C.

Yelp
No additional pictures. I am a Food Network Star or Celebrity Cher fanatic. Anytime I see one of there names I gotta go if I am able. Beer was good. Bartenders were nice and checked on me. It's the airport but the vibes were still vibing. The food menu didn't interest me much. I couldn't make it the last time I flew through Detroit so I decided to treat myself this time.

Melody K.

Yelp
Does a layover count as visiting a state? According to my social media, absolutely! This is my first time in DTW with a 2 hour layover home. I looked at the map and considered 2 different places to eat. The other one was in the next terminal, so that made my decision very easy. It was still breakfast time, so I ordered the plate of waffles. It comes with fresh strawberries, bacon or turkey bacon, toasted pecans, and a little scoop of whipped mascarpone cheese. The waffles were sweet and fluffy with crispy edges. I loved the crunch of the toasted pecans and the bacon added that perfect extra little bite that we didn't know we needed. This definitely sparked my breakfast inspiration board. A good breakfast option for those with some down time. Thanks for reading my review! Let me know what to try next!

Paul S.

Yelp
Victoria treated us like Kings. Great food as well- Very attentive and fun waitress that lightened up the entire day!

Amber M.

Yelp
What a great stop during our short layover in Detroit! Our server was extremely friendly- she loved our baby :) My husband and I each had a beer, and we split a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. They were nice enough to actually split it onto 2 plates for us, and it was the perfect portion. And honestly, it was really delicious! Everything came out pretty quickly and we got our check as soon as we asked for it. If we didn't have another flight to catch, I wouldn't have minded hanging out here for a bit. I would definitely recommend this place.

Yvette S.

Yelp
Food was delicious and Victoria was a fantastic hostess. The vibe is nice and chill in the busy airport restaurant.

Lauren N.

Yelp
Stopped by for a 'take the edge off' before flight beer (mom) and a side of French Fries (3 year old) Paige was so nice and personable! Quick service too! Thank you again Paige for being so friendly. My daughter and I enjoyed chatting with you. She loved the tadpole picture!

William F.

Yelp
Like any airport spot little pricey but the breakfast was good not a bad spot for a quick bite.

Whitney L.

Yelp
I love Cat Cora's Taproom. My husband and I have made it a tradition to stop by here every time we have a layover in DTW (my favorite airport). You can expect American bar fare, with a savory twist. From the drinks to the food, it's one step above what you'd expect from an airport restaurant. Make sure to try the bloody mary and house mimosa for brunch! Yummy.

Katy C.

Yelp
My travel companions and I had some time to kill at DTW before our flight, so we stopped by Cat Cora's Taproom for a drink and a snack. I just had a Diet Coke, but Nate got the Biscoff and bourbon milkshake, which was super impressive and tasty. You could definitely taste the bourbon, and it was a decadent treat. Listed under desserts, it's definitely shareable. We also ordered a side of fries - we declined the additional truffle. They were just ok - unfortunately they were not super fresh and seemed closer to a bit stale. Our server was really friendly and kind. I might stop here again in the future if I needed dinner - the food menu looked decent.

Phil P.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. What made me decide to come here in Terminal A, was remembering she was an original Iron Chef.....met the executive chef while gere.....you are safe. I ordered shrimp n grits. Excellent balance of seasoning. Shrimp are plentiful and a nice size. Ordering this and you won't be disappointed.

G. M.

Yelp
Food was wonderful! Was here on a layover and had their pear/grapefruit cocktail and fish and chips (substituted truffle fries). This was wonderfully done--seasoning on the breading w the fish and fry seasoning throughout. Cocktail tastes were equally distributed-so can taste the pear and grapefruit, etc. without 1 taste dominating. Service was excellent-staff knew her drinks. Ambiance was good--seating was spaced, which when you are in an airport and everyone is having calls is as good as can be expected.

Zoe A.

Yelp
Fine for airport food. Nothing special. Nice server, good location, nice lighting. Guess you could do worse.

Katy H.

Yelp
Wanted a clean place that had nice menu options where we could spend our 2 hour layover in Detroit. This fit the bill nicely! Our waiter was fantastic, wish I remembered his name, but he clearly knew his stuff and recommended the French onion soup which he touted as "the best" and I must say it did not disappoint! My husband and I shared a burger and it was excellent. Would highly recommend this to anyone for a clean/fresh and delicious dining experience!

Lydia W.

Yelp
Victoria was our server she was great. it was our second time having her and her riddles . for the first time I got one correct. it was awesome!

Tina G.

Yelp
I arrived at the airport early, so I had some time to sit down and have a nice meal. Boy or boy, it sure was nice. Delicious shrimp and grits. I was a bit leery, this being an airport and all, but I have to tell you it's was delicious! I would have polished it off completely, except I couldn't! I also would have boxed up the leftovers for later, but I don't think my seatmate would enjoyed smelling the leftovers all the was from Detroit to Hartford. The ambiance? Well it was DTW so you get what you get with that. The service and food definitely made up for the location. Yum.

John H.

Yelp
My bride and I stopped for dinner on a Friday night and found two spots at the bar. We find it faster then getting a table. The bartender recommended a few items and salmon ($27) was one of them. We both ordered it and it was pretty decent for airport food. Service from the bartender and speed of food coming out was good. I think we were there start to finish about 35 mins

Couryn B.

Yelp
Amy and sue were exceptional at being professional and personable. 10/10. Also Amy has amazing earrings.

Nik V.

Yelp
What an amazing dinner! Lamb burger was absolutely delicious! Our Biscoff bourbon dessert was divine. The service was top notch!!! Our server Victoria was truly the best. I wish all servers were just like her at all restaurants. We asked to spilt the burger, she came with the burger spilt in two plates with fries in each plate she provided us things we didn't even ask for... water, wet naps, extra napkins and the best smile! If I'm ever in the DTW Delta terminal I will be visiting this restaurant.

Tim S.

Yelp
Amy and Connie are the best! Great food, great service!!! Wings had just enough spice and the atmosphere was terrific.

Jill S.

Yelp
Victoria was a fabulous server! She made us laugh, got our drinks out quickly and the food was deliciou

Kaila S.

Yelp
Pretty good place for being in the airport. The service was good, the food was good, and of course the drinks were cold. I had the yogurt parfait which was good and the breakfast potatoes and those were really good. They also had angry orchard which is always a plus in my book.

Mathew M.

Yelp
Friendly service and a decent burger while waiting for flight in Terminal A in Detroit. Ordered the Angus Burger and a Peanut Butter Porter. Sherry did a nice job of making us welcome and serving us well. I should have known better than to order a side salad at a taproom, but I did. It was not a highlight. It looked like someone shook the shredded lettuce out of a Big Mac and through in 2 small tomatoes and a handful of onions. Good thing we're wearing masks these days, I am sure some is still stuck in my teeth like floss. No ranch dressing available which would have made it easier to capture. The tired fries were not a highlight either, but the burger was good. It was cooked as ordered and was full of flavor. I recommend the burger and the beer, skip the rest and be prepared for a hefty bill.

Pj M.

Yelp
Angus burger was great but the twice cooked fries tasted like old fries, kind of rubbery.. Just make good fries the first time , then you don't have to cook them twice I am a french fry freak. Also add ranch dressing to the menu....you have salads but all of your dressings are vinegratte based, variety would be good in this case

Justin O.

Yelp
While waiting for my plane to get to the gate for boarding to get back to Washington I went here for a quick bite to eat. I got a coffee and the two American eggs I did check reviews on their place and noticed that they had average Complement and reviews , The coffee took a bit of work to get to taste of my liking , which took me having to use cream and more sugar than I like. When the food arrived it was just warm. Everything was cooked but I generally like it to be a little hotter than what it was. The waitress was friendly and did offer refills on the drinks, but I did not have time and I didn't want to send food back since it was early and being one of the only people in the place. Plane also announced that they were boarding in a few minutes.

CJ M.

Yelp
Service was fast and good. The food was good and came out quickly. The rest of the party loved their drinks. About as much as you can expect of a airport restaurant, in and out with no hiccups! Would come back!
