The 12 Best Coffee Shops in Bogotá, Colombia | Eater
"A pocket-sized coffee shop with a huge roasting area and lab in the back, Catación Pública is the product of one of Colombia’s most famous roasters, Jaime Duque. After working as an agronomist for the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation for over 15 years, he turned his accumulated knowledge toward sourcing coffee from around the country for his own shop in Usaquén. At any hour of the day, you’ll find top educators giving one-on-one or group training sessions, and coffee brewed with a variety of pour-over methods or as espresso." - Karen Attman
What an experience!
Delighted by how friendly all the team is, starting from the owner itself, we had a brief tour of the different coffee flavours and how they were made, then a tasting session, absolutely recommended!

Excellent coffee! I bought Café Heliconias Verde for a Russian friend who is very picky about coffee, and she absolutely loved it. The quality and flavor really stand out. Highly recommended if you want to share the true taste of Colombian coffee with your foreign friends

Excellent coffee ☕️ for coffee lovers. They however do not have vegan milk alternatives if you want a latte.
For tours and taste tests it’s best to come in the mornings before the rush.

The art of coffee at its finest. I’ve been to many coffee shops around the world... I LOVE coffee and Catacion deserves more than 5 stars. From the cute setting, to the kind and incredibly knowledgeable Barista, to the selection , and the methods of preparation. I can assure you that you won’t find many coffee shops like this anywhere else. Amazing coffee and amazing customer service. My only regret is that I didn’t have more time to go back a second time.

It's one of the best experiences I had in Bogotá. English speaking stuff. Friendly and experts of their field. If you are into a coffee or looking for new emotions, you must visit this place.
P.S. I bought 5kg of coffee for presents.

A really great coffee shop with a huge educational angle to it. Wasn't expecting this but ordered a 3 coffee cupping on the fly as it was on the menu..the guy spoke good enough English to explain it all and he was very nice. Good selection of music and a lot of coffees. Something that shocked me was upon leaving I saw try and a Rwandan and Indonesian coffee which is cool. Having been in Latin America for a few years and Ethiopian being my favourite I wil come back to try those.
