"Downtown Disney is its own encapsulated hospitality universe, filled with shops and restaurants and places to spend a night out. That might make it a no-go for some baseball fans who travel just to see the action, but for everyone else there’s the upscale Catal for Mediterranean fare, set amidst a cozy built environment that nods to the famous Disney mouse." - Farley Elliott

One of several restaurants in the downtown Disney district. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. The most disappointing thing was when we ordered the cheese plate and literally got cheese. On a plate. No presentation. No proper board. Just sliced cheese on a normal dinner plate. My husband ordered the salmon which was over lentils, rice, and red curry. It packed a decent punch and was pretty good. I ordered the halibut with risotto. My halibut was a bit overcooked and the risotto was as well. The flavors and seasoning were good, though. Overall, decent food but far too pricey for what you get.

It was pretty good. Visited on our honeymoon. We ordered a cheese platter and were a little put off by the little amount for a $22 price tag. It was overall good quality cheese. My wife ordered the free-range chicken and was happy with her meal. I ordered the burger and was presently surprised by the taste. Was very impressed when the waiter offered us complimentary dessert for our honeymoon.

We went to Catal after our first day at Disneyland and wow, we had a great time! Our server was Tracey and she was both friendly and attentive. We ordered the Pan Con Tomate for appetizer, the steakhouse burger and free range chicken for entree, and the creme brulee for dessert. I had the passion fruit Iced tea and water to drink while my partner ordered the strawberries of summer cocktail and a cold brew martini. Our water glasses were never empty and our food came out promptly. We would definitely dine here again!

This restaurant is surprisingly large and not very full. I did not expect the food and service to be so good as well. The calamari is substantial and taste and look really nice. I had the duck breast and it was tender. The slightly charred sweet potato that comes with it is amazing! The paella is less impressive, but nonetheless good.

Everything on the menu, except for the max and cheese, is amazing. The salmon and the burger so far have been my favorite. The burger especially has a very rich flavor and the salmon is so complex. The view is also really nice and this restaurant has one of the lowest wait times at Disney

we had a 630 reservation and checked in on time, but they didn't seat us until closer to 7pm ... and dissapointingly there were a ton of empty tables we passed on the way to being seated at our table ... were out of the pork chop @630 on a Friday night... the paella was too old-ocean-tasting .. the best part was watching the fireworks from Disneyland... I suggest the octopus appetizer. server was amazing.

Date night at Catal Restaurant! If you are in the area and was a yummy dinner … I say go for it! But after paying for parking and the hectic atmosphere of getting to the restaurant, I would pass. We had the spicy cucumber and the citrus margaritas… very tasty! The appetizer was the calamari, it was good, the ones on top were a bit over salted, but all in all, it was good. For the main course, we both got the medium rare filet mignon, gnocchi and mini mushrooms. They showed up rare, but works out best for us since I use left overs for breakfast the next morning. We ended with the creme brûlée.. a classic for us! It was delicious! We were at a small table with a lot of traffic, like an airplane… but there were plenty of bigger tables. I suggest asking for a bigger table if possible. The servers were attentive and helpful.

We ordered the kung pao paella, the curry salmon and kale chicken salad, all were delicious. Though the wait was a bit long, it was worth it.Staff is friendly and accommodating. You also get a person that will take your photo and charge $20 for the photo. There is also a gratitude charge included. If you’re coming for dinner, make sure you get the parking ticket validated. Security will not let you back in after 10pm though restaurants are open until late.
