Great coffee and breakfast options! I found this place had better ratings than other places, and it had delicious looking options for our early morning arrival on Catalina island. There are options for online ordering, which I recommend if it’s busy, or you can order at the counter. The staff is so friendly! They have cute merchandise too. We added the fire roasted corn medley to our egg sandwich - it was great! I highly recommend, and I’ll be back for more great breakfast next time I visit Catalina Island.

A great place to catch up for coffee and breakfast. Firstly the line was long and wait was a bit tedious. It’s better to go for online order and pickup but I felt a few dishes were not available online. The wait was worth it. I got white mocha which was must try. We also got to build our own burrito, avocado toast and almond croissant. The coffee was fresh and soothing. The croissant had a flaky crust and a soft and spongy inside with Almond filling which was not too sweet. The avocado toast was amazing, with sour dough. The burrito was also great. Overall it was an amazing breakfast.

Catalina Coffee & Cookie Co. is such a great little spot. The coffee was really good and the cookies and pastries were super tasty. It has a chill vibe and feels like the perfect place to hang out for a bit. The staff was really nice and made us feel welcome. Everything we had tasted fresh. Definitely a 5-star spot and I’d come back every time I’m in Catalina.

Stopped in twice during our stay on Catalina - breakfast both times. Very cute little place, friendly service, and fairly quick on serving. Outdoor seating. -White Chocolate Mocha Frozen Drink -Blackberry Coffee -Breakfast Burrito with Vegan Sausage + Salsa Verde on the side -Bagel with Turkey Sausage -Jalapeno pretzel Everything was delicious and prices decent for area. Would highly recommend for your morning/lunch casual meal or drink.

Great little spot to grab some coffee and a breakfast sandwich only place that we found open early on the island. The breakfast sandwiches were very delicious. The cibatta sandwich is big enough for two people .

We hit this up on our food tour and the cookie, and the dark chocolate pistachio was really good. The strawberry hibiscus tea was also really flavorful and not too sweet. You could taste that. It was actually fresh and they make their own syrups.

Visited multiple times on our recent trip! Get the drip, any flavor, and just a splash of your favorite milk/cream so you can taste their roast flavors. So good!! If there’s a line, it’s worth the wait!

We found this Build Your Own Breakfast spot while exploring the island, and it did not disappoint! Yes, there was a long line when we arrived, but it moved so fast thanks to their efficient and friendly team. Great service all around! We built a croissant sandwich with turkey, cheese, and arugula, flaky, savory, and just the right balance of flavors. We also had the breakfast burrito with turkey sausage, which was warm, hearty, and perfect to fuel a day of adventure. Now let’s talk about the Japanese Matcha Iced Latte, hands down, the highlight of the morning! Smooth, energizing, and refreshing, total boom for breakfast on the island. 🍵💥 Prices are super reasonable too, especially for the island, we left full and happy without breaking the bank. Highly recommend stopping by if you're nearby. This place has good vibes, good food, and good people

Stop by here for a delicious cookies! The service is friendly and its located in a nice courtyard that allows you to sit and take in the morning. We got a matcha cookie with white chocolate chips and a oatmeal cookies. They were a great treat to have after walking around the whole island.

We came here because we saw it in a travel vlog and thought it was the coffee spot in town. Spoiler alert: it's not. And honestly, thank goodness. The coffee was not good, the breakfast burrito was even worse, and the whole experience was just super meh. Nothing outright offensive, but definitely not something I'd go out of my way for again especially on vacation when decent coffee feels like a basic human right. On our last day we discovered Catalina Island Brew House, and WOW. Night and day difference. Better coffee, better food. They even have these little bite sized cheesecakes for when you just want a taste and not a full commitment to being a proper fat ass. Skip this place and go to Catalina Island Brew House instead. Trust me.

Great place for coffee and breakfast items! This coffee shop was literally less than a minute walking distance from our hotel in Avalon. I was craving a breakfast burrito and avocado toast and found that this place had both! My husband and I shared both items. Between the breakfast burrito and the avocado toast, we both loved the breakfast burrito a lot. It had the perfect amount of filling inside compared to how much tortilla they used to wrap it. Sometimes a lot of other places use too much tortilla, but this place did not! The burrito also came with their chipotle sauce which tasted well with it. As for the avocado toast, it was mediocre for me. The next morning, my husband and I ended up getting our own breakfast burritos hehe. Will definitely be back for this place when in the area!

If you're craving a matcha latte while on the island, I recommend getting it at Catalina Coffee & Cookie! You can customize the type of milk for your latte. The green was vibrant and you can definitely taste the matcha. Besides drinks, they also sell a variety of pastries and you can build your own bagel sandwich. I'll definitely come back to try their bagels.

Catalina Coffee & Cookie Company is a must-stop in Avalon! We ordered two lattes, and even though there was a line out the door, it moved quickly and was totally worth the wait. The shop is well stocked with fresh pastries, and they also offer breakfast items, which is perfect whether you're grabbing something quick or starting your morning right. Everything looked fresh and tempting. The lattes were excellent, smooth, flavorful, and exactly what we needed. The staff handled the rush efficiently while still being friendly, which really stood out. Busy for a reason! If you're in Avalon and need great coffee and baked goods, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend

Stopped by Catalina Coffee & Cookie Company to try out their famous Iced Mocha and Iced Matcha. This coffee and cookie shop was recommended to us by one of our friends so we thought to check it out. We visited on a Saturday afternoon for some caffeine fix. So many good coffee and pastry choices on the menu and on display inside the glass counter by the register. The baristas were awesome and informed us about Catalina Coffee & Cookie Company. Our Iced Matcha and Iced Mocha were ready within a few minutes. The Iced Matcha was good. You can taste the match and coffee blend. The Iced Mocha was also good. It wasn't too sweet and you can taste the espresso along with the mocha. Can't wait to come back and try other interesting items on their menu.

I wanted some nice coffee and after a quick Yelp search, I found this spot and we couldn't wait to check it out. We had a golf cart and finding on street parking was super smooth. The cafe itself is a bit small but the ambiance is warm and welcoming. They have all kinds of coffee options, but I got my usual hot mocha! They had plenty of outdoor seating with some live music! We had a great time sipping on coffee and enjoying the music! There are also plenty of restaurants around the seating area. We picked up sandwiches from a nearby joint and relaxed in the outdoor seating area. All in all, the coffee is perfect and the music was lovely! I highly recommend checking this cafe out!

Line out the door in the mornings! Come early for your breakfast sandwich. After seeing the morning's line, we stopped by in the evening instead to pick up some sweet treats: Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip cookie and Chocolate Chip cookie with Walnuts. I thought the cookies were fairly priced at $3.25 each. There were several kinds of pastries still available when we visited around 5pm; cookies, croissants, muffins, and cinnamon rolls.

Excellent coffee shop in downtown area and very very busy in the mornings. I came here twice during my stay on Catalina Island and both times I got an iced coffee with coconut and it totally hit the spot both days! I did get a spinach pastry one morning here but that was so so. Be prepared to get in a long line with you come in the mornings but it moves at a good pace. I'd definitely come back here when back on Catalina Island! Very good coffee bar!

Such a good vanilla latte! The shop was so cute and quaint, right in the middle of all the shopping with a little bistro style set up right outside. The coffee grinds were nice and strong with the perfect balance of vanilla syrup! Such kind people!

Catalina Coffee & Cookie completely blew me away. I had the best breakfast burrito I've ever eaten. The potatoes were seasoned and cooked perfectly, the eggs were soft and fluffy, and everything just came together in the most satisfying way. I only wish the avocado had been tucked inside instead of served on the side, but it was still delicious. I also had an iced latte with blackberry syrup, also incredible. My friend ordered a breakfast sandwich and couldn't stop raving about it either. We've been talking about our breakfast here ever since we left Avalon. It was that good. I truly wouldn't come back to Catalina without stopping here again. The perfect start to a morning on the island!

While walking to my hotel & wondering where I would find my morning Matcha, a super friendly local & I spotted each other! She ran up to me and we hugged! She walked me right over to Catalina Coffee & Coffee and introduced me to the café! So sweet! Now, it's the only place I go for Matcha! Customer Service: Top-of-the-line and super friendly! Popular: This place usually has quite the line in the morning, as it's very popular and for good reason! You order inside and wait outside until your name is called! Easy breezy! Visited Catalina Coffee & Cookie Co during our trip to Avalon and it was such a nice café experience. I ordered coffee (really good and flavorful!) and also tried their pastry -- freshly baked and perfect with the drink. They also have breakfast sandwiches/burritos which a lot of people were getting and they looked delicious. The place can get crowded especially in the morning, but service was friendly and quick. Seating is mostly outdoor so it's great for a quick stop while walking around Metropole Marketplace. Prices are a little high, but normal for the island. Overall, a solid spot for breakfast or coffee -- I'd definitely come back!

The line for this shop can get pretty long. Luckily, we got in when it wasn't busy. I got a French Vanilla latte, a white chocolate match cookie, and a build-your-own scramble. It was good but not exceptional. The eggs were a bit drier than I was expecting, and I was expecting an omelet rather than a scramble with the toppings I chose, thrown on top, but I'll take the blame for not understanding how to order on the menu. This shop is on the pricier end; the total was almost $50 for what we ordered (the picture). The ambiance is nice with plenty of outdoor seating.

If you're planning to visit Catalina Island and love breakfast...I'm about to save you so much time. Skip all of the sit down restaurants and just go to Catalina Coffee& Cookie Co. This place is by far THE BEST breakfast you will find on this island. The diy breakfast bagel is perfection. I'm still dreaming of how toast and cheesy this beautiful sandwich was. The matcha latte was creamy and not too sweet and made my morning better. I will be honest this place gets super full and there will be a line. There are a couple of chairs to sit outside but if anything just take your bagel and drink to go and take a walk around the island. I would come back to Catalina just to eat this bagel again!

Staff is nice, the coffee is yummy, and there's outdoor seating! What's not to love? I ordered an iced horchata latte ($9) and it was great! Sweet, cinnamon-y, and the best pick-me-up after a day in the sun. Their menu items are a bit pricey, but it's expected for a touristy area.

The matcha was delicious, would definitely try again on my next cruise. I always try to find earthy but sweet matchas. Not overly sweet, they had a great blend.

This coffee shop is located inside the Metropole Market Place. It's small inside with no seating, but there's tables outside that can be used if you want to sit down to eat/drink. The staff were very friendly and pretty quick with the amount of people ordering. The food was good. I think it's a bit overpriced for what you get. We ordered a pizza bread and a bagel sandwich. The bagel sandwich was good. The pizza bread was okay. We wished the bread was baked a little longer so it wasn't too soft and there was some texture in the bite.

Despite the breakfast sandwich being good and very filling I don't like that the build your own sheet had no prices whatsoever so when I got to the register I was stunned by the fact that it cost me $18. Again, it was a good breakfast sandwich but definitely NOT worth $18.

Each morning of our stay we were here ready for a pastry, coffee, or food. Best coffee on the island! Service is super great and friendly. Order in person or online and it's pretty fast! Everything tastes amazing.

Cookie was yummy! Chewy but a little bit underdone. Black tea was refreshing but not too strong. Service was friendly and there's a few tables outside too!

This cute little spot in the Metropole Marketplace courtyard. They have limited outdoor seating and no inside seating. This is perfect for a grab and go situation, which makes sense as there are plenty of beautiful spots to lounge and enjoy the island. I got an iced caramel latte with nonfat milk. The downside with getting sweet drinks from local spot (vs mainstream franchise) is you never really know how sweet the drink will be. Mine was slightly too sweet for my liking but since I've paid $10 for this coffee, I chose to enjoy it to the fullest. Yes, $10! I never paid $10 in LA, OC or SD for a 16 oz iced coffee...so yes, it's pricey and there was nothing truly special about it other than the fact that it's in Catalina.

Super cute little coffee place with great breakfast options. Order the breakfast burrito and you will not be disappointed or hungry for the next six hours. lol The drinks were delicious and made pretty quickly. I would definitely like to try some of their other menu options! Great outdoor seating too.

Cute shop to stop by and grab coffee and a treat. They are located inside the Metropole Marketplace and have nice outdoor seating to enjoy the feel of a bustling street of local shops with live music. I got the blackberry mocha and you will not forget that you ordered a blackberry mocha. The flavor was very rich and sweet. The brownie was thick and chewy and had lots of chocolate. "Coffee is always a good idea."

Solid breakfast spot in Avalon! I ordered the chocolate croissant and also got their chocolate chip walnut cookie. The chocolate croissant was very chocolatey and the cookie was the perfect texture. I loved the variety at this cafe because you were able to get pastries but also customize breakfast sandwiches or avocado toast. The service was quick overall and there were spots to sit outside to enjoy the weather.

First time to the island from LA. Vegan food is difficult to find in Avalon but your breakfast starts here!! PARKING it's Avalon. Walk here. SERVICE we were in town for a race. Tons of people in town so the line was out the door at 7:30am. Fortunately, they're open even earlier! You can also order online. Advice: order online before your walk there. It'll be ready when you roll up. SEATING There's a cute little courtyard that you can sit in to eat breakfast, with more tables around back, but you're on the beach!! Go a few more steps and you can see views of the casino building. PRO TIP: Get breakfast burrito to take on your kayak ride. VEGAN Just Egg Vegan Aioli Vegan sausage It's a little expensive for the small portion, but the vegan tax is sadly on every item you add. But tastes great.

The ham, cheese and egg croissant was really good. Definitely recommend!!!!! We did a to go order, and the bag was really cute.

I had stumbled upon here as I was touring Catalina. There aren't any Starbucks in the island, but this coffee shop has many options including coffee, tea, and matcha. Service was excellent and the coffee was tasty and not acidic. It was quite pricey though. I paid $11 for a 24 oz iced mocha. There are plenty of benches outside with umbrellas to sit and relax. There was someone here singing and playing music too.

Went here for a quick breakfast snack. Ordered the chocolate croissant and the blueberry muffin. Both were served cold as expected as it was in the case in front. I prefer them cold. The croissant was good. Tastes like a standard chocolate croissant that you can get at any bakery. The blueberry muffin could have used more blueberries but was overall good. Service was nice and quick.

Came over here because my family and I were craving something sweet. There was a super huge line and we only ordered cookies: eclipse and chocolate chip. In my opinion, there wasn't anything jaw-dropping about them. They were a bit sweet for my preference. I probably wouldn't wait in that line again for these. But worth giving it a try!

We came her for breakfast two of our mornings on the island. It's one of a handful of breakfast spots, and definitely one of the quicker ones that still offers a decent variety. Between my mom and I we tried breakfast bagel sandwiches, breakfast burritos, which were both customizable and made to order, and some pastries. Of everything we got the bagel was my favorite, though the burrito was also good - just wrapped poorly so it was hard to eat because everything spilled out of it. I didn't love my croissant, but my mom loved the muffin she got. Service was friendly and they were happy to fill our water bottles, which was great since non bottled water was so hard to come by on the island. We took our food to go, but they have plenty of tables outside in the courtyard.

Came here for coffee and pastry and it was pretty good. I got a large black coffee and it was comfortable, and overall tasted good. Also got to try out the blackberry mocha and it was so good, you won't regret getting it. It's a tad expensive but flavor wise delicious. Also had a chocolate croissant (toasted) and inside was still a bit cold but overall tasted good. Solid spot for breakfast/coffee in Avalon.

The cookie we got was delicious. The coffee I got was not so delicious. I had a hard time finding coffee on the island. I was hoping this was the spot. Cookies were on point though. I'd come back for those.

The cinnamon rolls are just as insane and delicious as advertised. It was as big as my hand. got the lavender matcha as well, which comes hot or iced. Always great to have options. Matcha was tasty, not too gritty or sweet. Would recommend as an alternative to coffee. Staff were very nice and patient despite how busy it was. The shop is tucked into the metropole market place. And the cinnamon rolls do run out!

I hadn't been here in years but, my gosh, this is an excellent shop for coffee, baked goods, croissants, bagels, avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, and more. The place is as big as a shoebox but the 20 people (or more) in line outside should tell you something. Yes, you will need to wait patiently for your order to be called but it will be worth it. The coffee drinks are excellent. The baked goods are terrific. The savory stuff is great. The croissant and bagel sandwiches looked amazing but I didn't try those. We tried a few different coffee drinks, some lemon cake, and avocado toast. Everything was very good, especially the coffee drinks. Highly, highly recommended.

This is a small coffee shop in the middle of the Metropole marketplace. If you are vegan, this is the place to go for breakfast and even lunch as most of their dishes and drinks are either vegan or can be made vegan. The service was very fast and friendly even though it was a bit crowded. There are a few tables outside and of course the ocean a few steps away.

Looking for coffee and a quick bite to eat for breakfast, try this cute coffee shop. The employees were friendly and helpful. My husband wanted a cold brew drink but they didn't have one on the menu. They recommended a dark roast blend they had for the day and my husband enjoyed it, he said it was just as strong as a cold brew. The coffee shop is small and even though the line was a little long, they worked quickly and prepared our food just as we requested. From pastries, cookies, avocado toast, scrambles, and breakfast burritos...there is something on the menu for everyone's taste. I particularly like the "build your own" menu that you check off to place your order. I was hoping for a keto dish and they came through. Just keep in mind that the serving is on the smaller side especially if you're cutting out the bread or tortillas. I treated myself to their blackberry mocha and it was delicious. The exterior with cozy tables, wonderful music playing nearby and the very warm atmosphere will lure nearby tourists in a heart bit. Tempted by a cup of heartwarming, good quality cappuccino I found myself ordering a cup of a 8 dollar decaf. I figured any espresso produced from a good, professional coffee machine could be better than the piss I drank on the cruise ship that got me to the island. Disappointed to say the least. Again, wonderful vibes in and out, but the quality of the produce doesn't match any expectations anywhere close. The espresso was over burnt , sour . I threw it away. As a customer, if I ever come back to Catalina, I will most likely get coffee elsewhere else and just hang out in their yard.

I've been a couple times and have to say I'm disappointed today. The sweets are delicious. It's the breakfast that's lacking. Got a bagel sandwich, egg and sausage were rubbery. 1/4 of the bagel was rock hard. It all had a greasy taste to it. My husband had a burrito which he said was ok. Stick to sweets and coffee and you'll be good. That being said if there's a long line just go somewhere else.

They are a must try! Especially if you love all things matcha, like me! The staff is wonderful and their prices are reasonable. I got a matcha latte sweetened with lavender syrup and a matcha white chocolate cookie. They were both amazing! Must try when visiting the island

This coffee shop has so many bees flying around and they need to call a beekeeper. Super crowded and not worth the wait. I ordered oatmeal and it was too salty so I returned it. She made me avocado toast out of a gluten free bun. Don't eat here. Coffee only!!
