Catalpa Grove at Lakewood Park

What first attracted me to Catalpa Grove was their flexibility with vendors - so many venues force you to use their preferred list, but not them! We booked our wedding two years in advance, and every step of the way was effortless. We got married here on Labor Day weekend, and everything was absolutely perfect. I loved that cabins were available on-site and that there was even the option to add a shuttle for guests staying at nearby hotels. Our venue coordinator, Candice, was absolutely fantastic. She made sure everything ran smoothly and answered every question I had leading up to the big day. My mom was especially nervous about giving her speech and the ceremony procession, but Candice took the time to reassure us and calm our nerves. She truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect- and even took some beautiful candid photos throughout the day that added to our special memories. I highly recommend Catalpa Grove to anyone looking for a beautiful, flexible, and stress-free wedding venue!

I photographed a wedding at Catalpa Grove at Lakewood Park on June 7, 2025, and really enjoyed working at this venue. Everything is compact and convenient. the bridal prep took place upstairs in the barn, and the natural light there was perfect for portraits. The outdoor spaces offer great variety. There’s a private swing area ideal for a first look, a gazebo for vows or portraits, and a scenic lake nearby. The ceremony spot outside is beautiful and surrounded by nature. Inside the barn, there’s plenty of space for both dancing and dinner. One of my favorite features is the second-floor balcony, which gives a unique angle for dance floor shots. It’s a well-designed, photographer-friendly venue that makes storytelling easy.

We are thrilled to be having our mother's 90th birthday party at Catalpa Grove this summer. We live in Virginia and Patty was so easy to work with, even with us being from out of town. The facility is beautiful and they are making the planning so easy. A big shout out to our event coordinator, Candice! Everyone we met there was super friendly and we know this will be an extra special event!

We got married at Catalpa Grove on 10.17.25 and it was truly the best experience ever! The venue allows you the option to bring in different vendors and they also recommend vendors as well. It was truly so customizable. We loved the convenience of having the cabins right next to the venue for some of our guests. The newly built bar/snack bar building was also a great convenience for our guests. The venue is also absolutely stunning on its own. Leading up to our wedding Candice was a huge help in answering any questions I had, no matter how simple it was! She also helped make my wedding day a breeze with the flow and making sure our vendors had what they needed. We booked the day before to decorate and have our rehearsal dinner there as well and that was amazing as well. The venue was also so accommodating to our pups which was very important to us! We loved having our wedding at Catalpa Grove and would do it over and over again if we could!

I cannot recommend Catalpa Grove enough! They made my dream wedding come true in such a beautiful setting. Patty was incredible throughout the planning process, always answering my questions and guiding me with care. On the big day, our event coordinator Alex ensured everything ran flawlessly, making the day completely stress-free. My husband and I had our wedding at Catalpa Grove on 01/05/2025. To say the venue was perfect for us was an understatement! The venue was able to host all 180 of our guests and not feel tight. Additionally, we were able to personalize the wedding to our heart's desire! We were not restricted to any certain vendors, we were able to decorate how we liked, and could customize the floor plan to best fit out needs. We got compliments all night long from our guests about how beautiful the venue was, and they could not be more true! I 100% recommend looking into Catalpa!

We held our daughter's wedding at Catalpa Grove. It is a beautiful venue. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. Everything went as planned. I would highly recommend holding a wedding there. We loved having the 10 luxury cabins beside the venue for our wedding party to stay after the wedding.

Beautiful camp site AND wedding venue! We had our wedding October 30, and had Trish as our coordinator and she was absolutely lovely! The cabins are located just outside the venue, perfect for late night parties to not go far if they've had too much to drink. Cabins had heat and a/c system, updated showers, sinks, and more! As for the venue the space was PERFECT! Large dance floor, enough space at the tables, lighting for photos were perfect! Cannot recommend enough! And wanted to thank Trish and Patty both as they were so accommodating, and lovely women who helped us get set up and cleaned up! Beautiful venue for weddings and now they have added the cabins for camping or bridal party to stay on site. There are also other areas to camp as well. The staff there are so friendly and professional, they treat you as if they know you for years. Highly recommended

This venue is just absolute perfection. I'll put it this way - I started with a spreadsheet of 200+ wedding venues to research across PA, and toured 10+ of them, and Catalpa both checked every box on paper and also every WOW factor in person. Let's start with the obvious - this venue is just absolutely beautiful, inside and out. It has the rustic charm of the lake, the woods, the trees, the wood, but it also is extremely elegant and modern. From the moment we drove up, we were in love with its beauty and setting. Then there are the people - every single person we interacted with was not only just helpful and professional, but you can tell that they truly take pride in this place and care about the couples who have their wedding here. Karen gave us an incredible tour and helped us through the booking process, and Candice was absolutely delightful, organized, and made our month-of and day-of coordination go flawlessly. Catalpa is extremely organized and detail-oriented. They send checklists, ask questions, and guide you through the entire process, and they will work with you to make sure your wedding goes perfectly. And finally, I want to touch on just how unique this venue is. We were able to rent the venue for both Friday and Saturday, allowing us to spend Friday setting up our decor and having our rehearsal, and then having the ceremony and reception on Saturday. Friday night, the entire wedding party stayed in the on-site cabins, and Catalpa even lit the firepit for us to hang out around on the eve of the wedding! The on-site cabins are absolutely incredible, and all of our guests who stayed there were blown away. The other amazing part about this venue is that you can truly make your wedding your own - you can bring in any vendor you would like, bring your own decor, your own alcohol, food trucks, anything! Being able to customize all of these things really made our wedding feel like OUR event, something that reflected our personalities. And finally, the guest and vendor experience here at Catalpa is just unmatched. The kitchen was built specifically to caterers' recommendations, the bridal suite is beautiful, the parking lot is huge, the stereo system is brand new, the bar is massive, the site is handicap accessible, the bathrooms are large and clean, there is a huge indoor space for lots of guests (we had 180 and still had a huge dance floor) and also a huge outdoor area for the ceremony and cocktail hour as well as lawn games and the firepit. I just cannot recommend this venue enough, and I will never stop raving about it. Thank you so much to the entire staff at Catalpa - you're truly incredible and made our day absolutely perfect.

The days was perfect! We loved that we could pick and choose services based on our budget and design the day exactly to our liking. The staff was super helpful, responsive, and flexible throughout the process!

Our wedding is booked for 2022. Our experience with the coordinator and booking has been amazing so far. The place is beautiful and the cabins are very nice as well. We are so excited and cannot wait to have our special day here.
