The grounds of the resort are beautiful and there is a lot to like about this place. Location is great - very close to airport, restaurants, cute coffee shops, beach, etc. However, the living areas (rooms, hallways, elevators, common areas) are so outdated and need to be renovated badly. I would assume that is the most common complaint from guests here. Everyone else we talked to who was staying here also said the same thing. We loved the birds and bay/beach area, and the lobby is very charming and gorgeous. However, another downside was the service. While not terrible, I don’t think this resort really has it all together. When we checked in, they couldn’t tell us how to get to our room. We asked multiple people and no one knew where our room was. We had to go back to the front desk (which is a bit of trek, this place is big) and have someone bring us to our room. I would also recommend you to stay in the tower. We were originally in a Poolside Queen room and the rooms were only accessible from the parking lot … not quite the luxury resort experience you’re expecting. So we asked to be moved to the tower because we were staying for 5 nights and our original room was hard to get to and from. Overall, I don’t believe this resort was worth what we paid. I think it has really great potential and would consider giving this place another chance in a few years if they undergo renovations.
