The Catch Team Is Taking Over the Old Frog Club | Eater NY

"One of the founder’s best‑known brands was described as a fixture of early‑aughts celebrity culture; the group expanded aggressively in 2024 with new locations in Miami Beach and Dallas and is on track to open a site in Scottsdale, Arizona. The operator’s playbook centers on cultivating restaurants that appeal to a see‑and‑be‑seen crowd as they continue to expand their footprint." - Melissa McCart

Catch Scottsdale is an absolute vibe! The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by stunning interior decor & lighting with modern speakeasy feel that sets the tone for a sexy, romantic night out. Perfect spot for a date or a classy dinner with friends. The food and drinks are top-notch. Great selection of Mixed cocktails which are creative and unique. The sushi quality was incredibly fresh and flavorful and on par in quality with Nobu or Uchi sushi restaurants. NY strip and branzino were great for surf & turf. This is one of the most elevated experiences in Scottsdale. Service was friendly and attentive, with many staff members. Catch Scottsdale delivers the full experience — ambiance, flavor, and energy. Definitely one of the best new dining spots in the area.

Catch is the best new restaurant in town. The ambiance is sophisticated and each area has their own little vibe but overall love how it all comes together. Above that, their food and service are exceptional. The GM John Paul really made our first experience absolutely memorable and the hospitality at this place is top tier. They remember your name, pay attention to what you like and don’t like and make an effort to remember the next time you come in. We love sitting at the bar, and the bartenders are so friendly and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, to the moment you walk out, they make it a great experience for you. I highly recommend this place!

Such a great addition to Scottsdale. The decor is such a vibe, lighting is just right and the finishes are super classy. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly from the host stand to the servers. Both my sister and I have different dietary restrictions and they happily accommodated us. Everything was cooked to perfection and the places were a visual masterpiece. My favorites were the crispy cauliflower, filet and the Hit Me Cake that was surprisingly gluten free and absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I had an incredible experience here at Catch! We sat on the top level against the wall facing the entire restaurant, which was an amazing view and the ambience was filled w lots of classy people . We started dinner with the specialty Catch sushi roll., followed by the mouthwatering artichoke spinach salad, the ribeye steak was charred to perfection, tasty mashed potatoes and the Raspberry ice dessert was to die for. The server did an incredible job as well. Cheers to an incredible experience , we look forward to coming back again.

What a wonderful dining experience! One of the best meals I have had in a while. My boyfriend took me here to celebrate my acceptance to medical school, and I enjoyed every moment of it. From the friendly hostesses, to the knowledgeable waitstaff (and sommelier, Cornelius), we felt very well taken care of. We were greeted with complementary wagyu gyoza for my celebrations, which was delicious, followed by edamame, truffle sashimi, and the hellfire roll. All of them were flavorful and fresh. My boyfriend had the herb roasted branzino, which he absolutely loved as someone who doesn’t love raw fish like I do. Even then, he still tried my food, and really liked the truffle sashimi. We were then greeted with complementary fresh-baked peanut butter cookies after being brought the bill. The ambiance is also very notable — comfortable yet elevated with the lighting and seating. Will definitely be back!

My entire dining experience at Catch was above and beyond! The ambience is stunning, the staff was incredibly attentive and kind and the food, beyond exquisite. I feel I can speak to the entire menu, as we tried most of the dishes. The sushi, wagyu, pasta, desserts and cocktails were all SO good. I truly can’t say enough positive things.

We typically go to Maple and Ash, Ocean or Steak 44 or something like that for special occasions. We decided to give Catch a try and we’re amazed that we like it almost better than all the previous mentioned. Service was phenomenal. You didn’t feel overwhelmed like some of the others make you feel constantly coming by with helpers. The portions were perfect where you didn’t feel like you had to finish it and didn’t feel bad not taking it home. And I’ve never had a rendition of bang bang shrimp that was this crispy. We even had enough left over in my fictitious birthday budget for my wife to go back to the mall and grab some items as LV! I forgot to mention never been offered to “coat check” my shopping bags. Very nice treat. Top service, better food and got right in even when it was packed. Thanks Catch!

Google
Fine dining at its finest! Catch has not only perfected a plenary of dishes but has managed to find the best, most down to earth and yet consummately professional staff Scottsdale has seen. Personally I recommend the Shishito Peppers, the Golden Shrimp, and the Pistachio Cheesecake. All were the example every dish elsewhere should model. A big shoutout to Chef Mike Oates and to Molly. Really an experience to remember!

Yelp
When we arrived, there was about a 20-minute wait past our reservation time, which was a little frustrating. However, a manager named Dom came over, apologized, and kindly offered our group a round of drinks while we waited. We really appreciated that gesture and her taking the time especially since the cocktails are on the pricier side (though worth it!). Once seated, everything turned around. The food and service were exceptional. The crudo and crispy shrimp were both delicious, and I'm a big fan of the Catch Roll it never disappoints. Overall, the wait was annoying, but the experience and hospitality more than made up for it. We will definitely come back once they work out the kinks with the large crowd excited to dine with them.

Yelp
The food, atmosphere and service were all great. The problem was the valet parking. It cost $20 to valet Park. It's an extra two dollars if you use a credit card and if you leave a tip of five dollars, you're spending $27 as I did to park your car! And to add to that, they cannot bring the car right up to the door of the restaurant you have to go to where the car is, which is not a very long walk, but not a short walk. This is a real deterrent to me when thinking about going back to the restaurant

Yelp
THE FOOD HERE IS SOOOO GOOODDDD!!!! SO WORTH IT!! The menu has different sections and I tried to get something off of each section of the menu/ what the server recommended and it did not disappoint. Drinks were good, flavor was on point, and timing of the different courses was perfect. Inside there was enough spacing between tables to have a good conversation and not over hear the other party. Lighting was dimmed, but not too much so you could still see your food. Definitely worth a stop in!!

Yelp
10.8.25 - finally tried out the Scottsdale location with my friend and her daughter. We've been to the Vegas location before and loved it. It's a different look and vibe than Vegas. This location doesn't have that instagramable flower wall and has a more classy feel. It was pretty packed for a Wednesday evening but we had reservations and were seated as soon as the whole party was present. Our order: Clarified Piña Colada Expresso Martini Madai Crudo Rainbow Sashimi Pizza 1/2 Dozen Oysters Baked King Crab Hand Roll Crunchy Rice Cakes Center-cut Filet Catch Nigiri Flight Tuna Tartare Strawberry Shortcake Shaved Ice We loved everything! My favorites would have to be the madai crude, the nigiri flight and the dessert. The table next to us bought us a round of drink too. That was a plus! Huge thank you to Chef Stan and Chef Rex for the hospitality and some of the items on the list! We'll be back again.

Yelp
First visit. Very nice. Drinks were good. Bartender was knowledgeable and pleasant. Nice selection. Strong wine list. Only open for dinner. Apparently they are looking at doing brunch in the future at this location. We dined In the main dining room. From the moment we sat down we all felt rushed. Server spoke way too fast. While nice, seemed too practiced. No flow. We were regularly interrupted while in conversation. When dining at this level some training in fine dining service may be useful. Please train your staff to not say "working on our food". Sorry. This is a pet peeve of mine. Seems to me food is meant to be enjoyed. Not labored over. At the very least simply inquire if "I may remove the plate. ". We tried the crunchy rice cakes. Very good. Would order again. Signature Nigiri. Quite good. We had several portions of the Albacore. Apparently flown in from Japan daily. Hellfire roll. Another win. For entrees we shared New York strip. Slightly overcooked. Tender and not as flavorful as I would like or expect for this cut. Miso glazed sea bass was delicious. Sides Asparagus and mashed potatoes. I prefer the thin asparagus. These were large stalks. Mashed potatoes were good. Get two for 4 ppl. Overall the food was well prepared. Dinner felt rushed and not to fine dining par. Would save this for a cocktail and snacks. For the price point we anticipated a better experience. Will try again once they get into their groove.

Yelp
We were so excited when Catch opened in Scottsdale! I've been to other locations and it's always a good vibe with good food. I got the makrut cooler (gin cocktail) and would order that again! The table next door all got an espresso martini that I would love to try next time! We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and loved the Truffle Sashimi, bluefin otoro nigiri (absolutely divine), catch roll and hellfire roll, crispy cauliflower, baked king crab hand roll, center cut filet, waygu fried rice, and Whole herb roasted branzino with truffle fries on the side! I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes here. Since we came here to celebrate a birthday, they presented their signature Hit Me chocolate cake. What was funny was it said happy anniversary instead of happy birthday but that's no problem since we ate everything! Staff were attentive and our waitress checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. This place is perfect for a date night or night out. I noticed they have a bar in the back of the restaurant. Fair warning that as the night progresses, the lights go dimmer and the place gets louder you can barely hear the person next to you in the main dining room. I hope they consider improving the acoustics in there because it gets too loud for us to carry our conversation.

Yelp
I've visited Catch LA a few times, and the last experience was so disappointing. Initially, I was hesitant to try Catch in Scottsdale because it was so new, and I wasn't sure if I would encounter the same issues. However, I was completely wrong and regret having any doubts. Catch Scottsdale has already proven to be superior to the LA location. The service was way better and the quality of everything tasted so fresh. Everything was delicious, and you truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Next time, I will probably opt to get two nigiri flights (instead of the coursed meal we did during this visit), as the nigiri was the highlight of this entire meal. The fish was buttery soft and melted in my mouth while the wagyu was so fatty and rich. The mashed potatoes are also a must-try. They achieved the perfect texture/taste -- creamy and smooth. I polished off the whole side myself. The strawberry shortcake dessert is so refreshing and the perfect dessert after such an indulgent meal. I couldn't stop eating it. Connell, the manager, is an absolutely gem. She was attentive and sweet. She checked on us multiple times throughout our meal to make sure everything was going smoothly. Kyle was our server and he was extremely friendly and provided excellent. I am now a Catch stan again and will be back!

Yelp
Catch is on the lower level of Fashion Square mall next to Elephante. There's an upscale dress code that is enforced. It's a newer restaurant that isn't yet at full capacity - so make sure to grab a reservation. I did have difficulty using the embedded reservation system on their website; no times would populate on any day or time selected. I had to directly use the Open Table app in order for reservations to populate. There are greeters at the outside door that are welcoming. The inside entrance doesn't have the same floral aura as the Las Vegas location in the Aria. I sat at the bar, which is for now also the temporary area most guests are guided to until their table is ready. (Again, the restaurant is not yet at full capacity, this may change). I started off with oysters and a lychee martini - solid presentation with both. The nigiri flight was the highlight that consisted of A5 wagyu with kaluga caviar, king salmon belly with truffle tomato (my favorite), bluefin otoro with kaluga caviar, and albacore with black truffle. Next up was the catch roll. The salmon was torched and seared table-side, with crab and miso-honey. I preferred the wagyu surf and turf roll. It contained maine lobster, truffle aioli, and chimichurri. I wrapped it up with the truffle mushroom spaghetti - it was filling and met expectations. It will be interesting to see what Catch will offer as their menu expands. I left satisfied, but there are some other sushi spots to consider if you're arranging a nice dinner out.

Yelp
Overall this was an incredible experience at Catch!! I love the bartender Kat! She is amazing! We were seated at a cocktail table near the bar. Service was good everything was good! We even got sent a waygu fried rice (extra one was made) but for some reason my server didn't seem to like that we were sent the rice. Not sure why she was acting that way, we really enjoyed everything!

Yelp
BOOK YOUR BIRTHDAY HERE!!! The most amazing experience. The service is so fast and our server Molly is extremely attentive. Do not skip on the baked crab hand roll!!! And the vibe is so perfect in there.

Yelp
Had the most amazing dining experience at Catch last night! Immediately we were greeted by a team of 8+ hosts and grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited until our reservation. Maddie made me the BEST Catch filthy martini and it was amazing! She was so knowledgeable about the drink menu and made some amazing recommendations! We were sat in the dining room at a booth and I was blown away by all the yummy food. We ordered the Shishito Peppers, Nigiri Flight, Spicy Pasta, Hellfire Roll, and the Strawberry Shortcake Shaved Ice. The level of care and attention the team took was phenomenal. All of the food was fresh - my favorite was the Otoro, Shishito Peppers and the dessert! 11/10 would recommend and I will be back!

Yelp
We ordered a wide variety of dishes including the -Spinach Artichoke Salad, Wagyu Surf & Turf Roll, Crunchy Rice Cakes, Crispy Cauliflower, Spicy Gigli Pasta, Wagyu Gyoza, Prime Ribeye, "Hit Me" Chocolate Cake, Warm Ricotta Donuts, and Pistachio "Cheesecake." Every dish was absolutely spectacular -- beautifully presented, flavorful, and worth the hype. For drinks, we had Lemonade, Iced Tea, and Club Soda (from the gun). While the service overall was great, there was one major flaw that left a sour note: our server never informed us that Iced teas and club sodas from the gun would be charged for every refill. Refills were brought without asking, and we were shocked to see $30 for iced teas and $28 for sodas added to the bill. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. If a restaurant is going to charge guests for refills, it should either: 1. Clearly communicate this upfront, or 2. Sell them in bottles so guests understand they're being charged each time. For a party of three, we ordered a fair amount of food -- but to be blindsided by charges like this feels like a cheap trick. Honestly, it turned me off from what could have been a 5-star experience. The food is fantastic, but the lack of transparency with drink charges is a huge flaw. At this point, I can't say I'd recommend Catch because of this.

Yelp
GIRLS NIGHT OUT! My friend suggested Catch for our Friendsgiving and it did not disappoint! Our waiter was funny and knowledgeable and took care of us all evening. We all started out with drinks including the Lychee Martini and Espresso Martini, both were super delicious! Between 4 of us, we split the fried rice and ordered our own rolls. The fried rice was AMAZING and rich. The rolls were fresh and the Wagyu Gyoza was warm and the sauce was sweet! We finished with the GF Chocolate Cake which was fun and interactive. We also got a plate of chocolate chip cookies which were absolutely melt in your mouth to die for! Cool girl vibes and amazing bites! Would recommend for your next GNO!

Yelp
I really wanted to like Catch, I've been so excited for them to open. The space itself is beautiful, goes from an almost claustrophobic host stand to the most open dining room. The issues here start with the host stand however. I attempted to walk in on a Thursday night, and I asked if they had space for 2 walk ins. They said yes, and to grab a drink at the bar while we waited. Was not given any time estimate. After waiting for about 15 minutes I went to check what place we were in line and I was told the estimate was over an hour. That seems like important information when I ask if there's availability. We very quickly left. Decided to give another chance and made a 5 PM reservation on a Sunday. Same check in process as before, we were told to wait in the bar while waiting to be sat. Now onto the meal. I really wanted to like this. I love upscale Japanese (I'm a regular at Roka Akor & Uchi which is exactly what I was comparing Catch to) It all just felt kind of half assed. Edamame was nothing special, wagyu gyoza was yummy but nothing special. Same with the Otoro Special Nigri (Roka Akor's blows it out of the water) Catch Roll was also just ok. Now I want to get to where this meal actually upset me. The Wagyu Hot Rock. Now, I love a hot rock. Specifically the one at Uchi, I could order 45 and still want more. But this one? The strips of steak are paper thin, drenched in oil, and the wait staff cooks it for you which in my opinion takes away from the experience. I felt like I was eating oily thick paper. I actually wanted to laugh when they brought our "flight" to the table. It should not be legal to charge $160 for a McDonald's hamburger amount of meat. I did not have any alcohol, my dining partner had 2 glasses of Cabernet that he said were good. $400 meal and I left hungry and a little sick to my stomach

Yelp
After hearing about all of the mixed reviews I had to come check it out for myself. We started off pretty good. The place was beautiful and the vibe felt good. Once we finally got to our table our waitress was very absent. Felt like we were an inconvenience to her day. I think her name was Natalie. We ordered sparkling water which came out warm, needed to ask for ice. Our cocktails took foreverrrr. I order the Catch dirty martini which I may say is the weirdest and nastiest martini I've ever had. I had really high hope for the sushi but it was really boring. Like Sprouts or Safeway sushi. Dessert was a "Hit" though lol. What a waste. Luckily we have Ocean 44 in the area for a real seafood spot. I guess Catch is the new pretentious spot in Scottsdale.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
The ambience and the service was definitely top-notch. I would say it was a little underwhelmed by the menu however, I guess I was expecting a few more seafood options. The catch roll was delicious however and so was the salmon. Very basic but clean and on point. Their drinks are not very big yet very tasty and well-made. I thought they're Wagyu fried rice was way overpriced for what you get but again all the food was really good. I would likely go back, but there's so many good options in the area. It's hard to say that this would be my favorite.

Yelp
Dont miss the crispy rice cakes they were divine. My brother said the surf and turf roll is the best sushi he's ever had, I personally loved the vegetable roll over the catch roll and our server was great! All hands on deck staff which was amazing the vibe is very cool inside its unique and I cant wait to come back! Food came out quickly and no errors! Donuts are a great dessert for the end of the meal.

Yelp
First: there IS a dress code. I got denied entry my first visit for wearing a nice outfit and sandals lol. A first as a woman, but fine. It was a bit casual. For men, no shorts and must wear close toed shoes. Will be curious how this works out in June and July when temps can reach 110-+. Anyways: Checking In: echo what others said regarding unfriendly hosts and awkward waiting area at the bar. For us the weirdest part was that we were a party of 3 with a bar reservation and they sat us at a 6 top in the dining room.... They didn't want to move us either despite me requesting this a couple times while being sat. They strictly adhere to the time limit. We were seated late and already being pushed out at 1 hour and 45 minutes from the reservation time (not from when we were sat). We asked for a dessert menu after our waitress brought the bill without offering it to us and she returned with her manager who told us we needed to leave. We could be sat in a different room and order dessert but needed to leave the table asap. It was very uncomfortable. We were still enjoying part of dinner too. We declined the offer and ended up leaving. Overall, the food was good/okay but not really worth the price point. One dish was outstanding, the truffle sashimi, but everything else was just average. I will say that the fish quality IS great though. Just because a lot of the dishes missed, I will say that the quality was there. For reference, we ordered: Crispy cauliflower- this was terrible. Skip it unless you like a ton of sauce. They were crispy as advertised, but too sauced to enjoy. Waygu gyoza- these were just okay. They were good but couldn't tell it was waygu and not another beef. Truffle sashimi- great as mentioned above. Madai crudo- this was a good dish. Hellfire roll- this was good but nothing special. Prime ribeye- this is what we ordered but were given the prime NY Strip instead. It was good. Miso glazed seabass- biggest disappointment. The sauce was not good and made it almost inedible. Our group loves seabass and we didn't even finish half of this. It was very disappointing. Sides: asparagus- this was good. Truffle fries- good. Drinks: Catch filthy martini- i like a slightly dirty, so i ordered that after this but this was a well balanced drink. Detox detox- great drink. Fresno Paloma- 2 ppl ordered this and it just tasted like pineapple juice. Don't order wine IMO. Not worth it. Overall, i may go back for a drink an app but my boyfriend was really turned off by the experience and the feeling of being rushed from the moment we sat down to being kicked out. I talked to other friends who had been pushed out while still eating too. I get a time limit, but we felt rushed the entire time which made it hard to enjoy this expensive meal. Emily, our server was good but we felt rushed.

Yelp
The food and experience was really great for the most part except for one serious thing. They handled our large party of 18 well, food was genuinely great up until I ordered a cappuccino. Two in our party got a cappuccino, we both found it was nearly boiling temperature, I burned my tongue and lip pretty badly, other guy only got the tip of his tongue. I let them know about the problem, I assume their machine was dialed up too hot, surprisingly they did nothing. Brought me a glass of ice, that was it. Ruined the evening unfortunately

Yelp
We came in here after a horrible experience next door. Kat made our night. She was so attentive and went above and beyond to save our night. I can't wait to come back to Catch because of her kindness and amazing service. Best experience ever.

Yelp
First class experience all around. From the valet to the host stand to the table service to the food. Wow! Highly highly recommend!

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
Catch is my go-to for date night and girls' night the food and vibe are unmatched. But can someone please stop sending random men to interrupt dinner? First the Aspen guy, now the STK guy... I'm starting to wonder if dessert comes with an unsolicited sales pitch.

Yelp
I visited Catch yesterday and left feeling very disappointed with how the seating situation was handled. When we arrived, the hosts clearly told us that the entire bar area was open seating. Based on that, we grabbed a drink at the back bar and patiently waited over an hour for a table to open. Once we finally sat down, met our server, and started reviewing the menus, we were told the table was actually reserved for someone else and we needed to leave. This was frustrating and confusing. If the bar is truly "open seating," guests shouldn't be asked to give up a table after waiting so long. If the bar area does have reservations, then that should be communicated upfront so people can plan accordingly instead of wasting their time. To make matters worse, we weren't offered another option since reservations were already full, leaving us with no choice but to leave the restaurant hungry. I hope management can take this feedback seriously and ensure the hosts, servers, and managers are aligned on seating policies. Clear communication is key to creating a good guest experience -- and this situation was the opposite.

Yelp
Visited last Friday for their opening night. The space is absolutely beautiful, the location and décor are fantastic and really set the tone for the evening. One thing I didn't love was being asked to wait in the bar area after checking in at the host stand. The space there felt cramped, and since we could see into the dining room where several tables were open, it was a little frustrating. After asking a passing employee about the wait, we were quickly seated, so it may have just been opening-night growing pains. The food itself was excellent. We ordered the shrimp cocktail along with a few sushi rolls and sashimi, all of which were fresh and delicious. The warm ricotta donuts were absolutely incredible, definitely a must-try. The only downside was that two of the items we ordered, the tuna tartare and crudo appetizer, never made it to the table, which we only realized once we were home. Our server also made a comment about us not ordering an entrée, which felt a bit off-putting, but otherwise the service was fine. Overall, the restaurant has so much potential, and we're excited to come back in a few months once they've had more time to smooth out the kinks.

Yelp
New go to restaurant! The remodel they did in here was astonishing, beautiful ambiance where every detail was thought about. The crispy tuna rice is the best thing I've ever had.. the flavor is something I can't describe it's an experience. Service was great too, swift and answered any questions due to my dietary restrictions! Will be back again & again

Yelp
Honestly had a great experience given they're new! We tried the spinach artichoke salad, Wagyu roll, crispy shrimp, truffle pasta, king crab hand rolls, and the strawberry shortcake dessert. Everything was sooo delicious. I personally think this is my favorite restaurant out of all the new ones that opened in OT within the last year.

Yelp
Best New restaurant in all of Arizona. The food Is GREAT, service is better. The Staff is amazing! Look for John Paul, Michelle or Thuy. They will take care of you very well. Get the Truffle Sashimi, tuna tartare, Sushi flight, Crispy cauliflower, mushroom pasta, and all the steaks are good. Especially the 3 way Wagyu

Yelp
Had an amazing time at Catch! April, Reece, and Mike were all incredibly attentive and made sure our experience was top-notch. Huge shoutout to Connell for showing us the emerald room --such a fun surprise and the perfect way to end the night. Great vibes, great service! Will definitely be back to "catch" some amazing food.

Yelp
Great martinis! My little martini came with an entire extra pour. Loved it. We sat in the speakeasy! It's a vibe in there! Highly recommend.

Yelp
If I could have given this a 0 star, I would have. I was super excited to come to catch to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday. Not only did I mention in the notes of my reservation that we were celebrating his birthday, but when we checked in, I mentioned it again. I was told they would be sending something special out to the table, and let's just start with the fact that this absolutely did not happen. That oversight is mild in comparison to what we were subjected to over the course of our dinner. If you were expecting your experience to be anything similar to the amazing service that the Las Vegas location has, please do not hold your breath, because the service was the exact polar opposite. We felt aggressively upsold the entire time to the point where it was insulting. At one point, the waitress even told us the amount of food we ordered was not enough, and she could eat it all by herself and still be hungry. I was hoping to celebrate my husband's birthday with the same exceptional service I've come to expect at the Vegas location, and that just didn't happen. Ultimately it ended up ruining not only my husband's milestone birthday, but it was also his first birthday since his son passed away and we were really looking forward to a meaningful celebration. To say he was crushed and disappointed is a colossal understatement. I did try speaking with the manager at the end of our meal, and she was dismissive. I tried messaging Catch MULTIPLE times in their DM's and it's been crickets although just last week when I was trying to get a reservation they were johnny on the spot to respond. Yelp
10/10 service! This location is perfect for date night as it gives intimate, cozy & sexy vibes. Highly recommend finding a seat at the bar. I had incredible service from April, Michael and Reece. They were attentive, friendly, funny, and provided great insight about the menu. The rainbow sashimi pizza is a delicious snack that should be ordered by all! Connell was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the restaurant and all it has to offer. Don't forget to check out the emerald room!

Yelp
Wow wow wow!!! I can't begin to say enough amazing things about Catch! The atmosphere, the impecable service and kind servers made the dining experience that much more elevated and exquisite. The wagyu fried rice was incredible and starting off with the crunchy rice cakes as a starter was simply perfection. The only downside was that the dining room was freezing and I had to keep my trench coat on the whole time. Otherwise, wonderful experience and I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Catch was so delicious! My boyfriend ordered the steak and I ordered the catch roll!!! Both came out better than we expected. Definitely a 9/10. Drinks were also very good as well! 9.5/10. The service was a tiny bit slow, but not bad! They were super busy, which is a good sign:) our server was also very kind! The ambience I don't even know where to begin. It was stunning! A must for a date night.

Yelp
Came in for opening weekend at Catch Scottsdale and had an awesome experience. Reese took great care of us at the bar -- super friendly, attentive, and made sure our drinks were perfect all night. The vibe was lively, the space is beautiful, and it already feels like one of Scottsdale's go-to spots. Excited to come back!

Yelp
I visited this restaurant with my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday, and as a Black African-American woman, I was highly disappointed with the treatment we received from the door staff. Their behavior was discriminatory and prejudiced, which left a very negative impression. The staff at the door should be trained to be more welcoming and accommodating to a diverse clientele. If diversity is not something this establishment values, perhaps that should be made clear upfront so people know what to expect. To clarify, this issue had nothing to do with dress code, we had just come from Toca Madera, where we received outstanding service and were treated with respect. I would strongly recommend visiting Toca Madera over Catch, as there was absolutely no prejudice there.

Yelp
The service and the food unbelievable very good. The only thing about it is expensive.

Yelp
Waiting at the bar to have dinner. Order a drink tell the bartender looking to have dinner. Find a couple leaving they offer their spot only to be told by a host that those are special seats the only ones in the whole bar reserved. Not welcoming I'll take my money elsewhere. Bar no education on what spirits they carry not that it matters.

Yelp
So tonight I got to hang out with cat and she was the most amazing bartender. We had a really bad experience at a bar next-door to the catch just before going in there and the way the cat made up for their poor customer service was out of this world cat. If you read this, just want you to know we really appreciate you and customer service is so important. We appreciate you and I hope management sees this reads this and knows that you are a staple for this establishment.

Yelp
I've ate at Catch LA many times, and I can tell you this one does NOT disappoint. Food was amazing per usual, service was excellent ( Emily the server was kick a$$), and Dom and John Paul made each one of our visits feel personal and special. When I'm dining out for steak or seafood/sushi, this is my first option hands down! Designers did an excellent job with the ambience and mood, feels like you are dining in the great Gatsby Mansion. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
I was super excited to try the new Catch in Scottsdale with my friends, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from start to finish. We had an 8:15 PM reservation tonight (a Wednesday night) and arrived early, yet we were not seated for over 40 minutes. Once seated, it took about 10 minutes before anyone brought water or even introduced themselves. The service throughout the evening was friendly but extremely slow. Our appetizers and drinks took a while, and our main entrees arrived well before our side dish, which did not come out until after we had already finished eating. A man named Ken, who said he was a manager, came by to apologize and was very kind and professional. He comped the side and a dessert, which we appreciated. However, when it came time to pay, things went downhill again. There were three people in our party, but only two of us split the check. When the bills came back, we discovered that we were each charged for the entire meal, not half. When we brought it up, our waitress took the receipts to fix them and made a snarky comment saying, "You can't trust boys to do anything right." After that mistake, we expected the manager to come back and make it right or at least apologize again, but no one did. Between the 40 minute wait even with a reservation, slow service, delayed food, and billing errors, this was not the luxury dining experience I was expecting from Catch. I had such high hopes for this restaurant, but I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Sadly, I do not see myself returning.

Yelp
Very small portions, the nigiri is amazing but everything else was average. Well staffed but for me I do not think I would go back.

Yelp
I usually don't leave any reviews, but something just rubbed me the wrong way. It's cool to have a "bouncer" of sorts at the door. But when his job is to literally turn people away before they can even go in the restaurant, it seems a little elitist, which is weird coming from a restaurant that's literally in a mall. I saw him turn two groups away because they didn't have reservations. Couldn't they have checked with the hostess just in case there was a cancellation or maybe a table had opened up? It was not busy enough in there to turn people away at the door. I usually dine alone and when I said I didn't have a reservation, I even had to be a little pushy that I wanted to check with the hosts to see if anything was available. That is a BIG problem. Sure enough, once inside, I found a few bar seats open which I wouldn't have known about if I didn't go inside. The food was decent, I got the Gigli pasta and the spicy shrimp. They were both solid 7.5/10's, and I know they're meant to share, but both being around $30 is a little much, especially with the pasta having nothing in it BUT pasta and sauce. The service was friendly and accommodating, but seemed a little slow for having 3 bartenders and a Barback and only 12 bar seats, I feel like they weren't as attentive as they could have been since usually only one of them was making drinks for the restaurant. The restaurant itself is very modern and beautiful inside with a cool theme, though the bar is pretty sectioned off from the rest of the restaurant. All in all, it was ok, I'll probably be back to give it one more shot with friends to see if any improvements are made, but not rushing back. Just some feedback I thought would be helpful in the meantime. Michael at the bar was especially warm and easy to talk to!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to snag a reservation on night three of opening week. Had never been to a location before so I have been very excited to try this one in Scottsdale. We were greeted with about six hosts at the host stand and were seated almost immediately after checking in. Our server was kind and knowledgeable and managers came up to talk to us to check in on how we were doing. The food was delicious and we will be back! Very excited to have this in AZ!

Yelp
Here is a very honest review.. When we first arrived, the check-in process felt a bit unorganized. Guests are asked to wait in the mall lobby until the restaurant opens, and then moved to the bar area until their table is ready. Unfortunately, there isn't a designated waiting area or seating available, which made it a bit uncomfortable to stand in a walkway along with several other guests. The restaurant does have a pleasant vibe, but the lighting--though dim--felt somewhat harsh. With no windows or natural light, the space also felt a bit enclosed, which took away from the otherwise upscale atmosphere As for the food, we would rate it a 3 out of 10. While the two appetizers we ordered were enjoyable, the rest of the meal fell short of expectations. We each ordered a different steak, along with two sides and two desserts. The steaks were noticeably under-seasoned, and we even had to request salt at the table--which is surprising given the price point. My steak was also slightly overcooked. Of the sides, one lacked flavor altogether, while the rice was overwhelmed by lemon to the point where it was difficult to enjoy. Our server was very friendly and polite, but unfortunately never checked in on how our meals were, which left us having to flag down a manager to address concerns with the sides. Management kindly offered us two desserts in place of the sides, which we appreciated, though they too were underwhelming. The hitme cake presentation was fun, but one portion was still frozen, making it difficult to enjoy We understand the restaurant is newly opened, so hopefully with time and adjustments, the overall experience will improve.

Yelp
Mixed feelings about this place. It's basically a sushi place masquerading as a steakhouse/supper club. The drinks were disappointing - weak and small for the money. The food was tasty - good Caesar salad and sashimi pizza. My friends enjoyed the sushi but it was pricey for the size/quality. I haven't seen hot rocks and tons of truffle flavors on a menu for 20+ years. Maybe it's making a comeback? Big downside is the noise. It's way to loud to hold a comfortable conversation. Blaring music just doesn't seem right in a refined setting like this.

Yelp
I'd like to recognize Kyle for his exceptional service. He demonstrated outstanding attentiveness and professionalism, making sure I was completely satisfied with my order. His positive attitude and genuine care reflect extremely well on your team and make guests feel valued. He's an asset to your establishment!

Yelp
We had an early dinner last night, and the food was amazing. The services was first rate -- it was hard to believe the restaurant has only been open for a few weeks. (Reservations recommended.) The new restaurant space is just beautiful -- what a great atmosphere!! Overall all the evening was a true 5 star experience. We will definitely be going back -- and recommending Catch to friends and family.
