I'm in LA, they never answer their CS phone & when they do they transfer to another so long wait. Thus the 1 star. I flew them last 20 yrs and my points disappeared. I fly them bc it's cheaper price but had to pay $50 to select seats, and seats super small. Service is decent. They need to step it up though.

This was my fist time flying with Cathay Pacific. After I purchased a ticket, I tried to change my seat class online. However this function was not available. I attempted to call several times without success. Upon checking in to my flight online, I noticed that Cathay Pacific changed my set assignment from row 42 window to row 38 aisle. When I checked in my bags, my seat assignment changed again to row 67F which is neither aisle nor window. I called Cathay once again about 30 minutes into my 5 hour layover awaiting my first flight with Cathay Pacific. The first representative told me that they could not change my seat class because I had already flown the first flight of my trip with their partner airline. The seats were so close to each other that it was the most uncomfortable flight that I have ever taken. The plane was late leaving and also had a delay when landing. The landing delay was unforeseen because of weather. I missed the final flight because the plane landed about 15 minutes prior to the takeoff time. They managed to get me on the next flight which was delayed by an hour. Upon reaching my destination, I noticed that 2 of my bags had been searched and two items were severely damaged during the search. I will never fly with Cathay Pacific again.

BUYERS BEWARE - If you purchase their cheapest Economy Light tickets for international flights, you get only 1 checked bag. This 1 checked bag policy did not work for us, so we had to upgrade to Economy Essential costing us several hundreds more. Had we known about the 1 check bag policy, we would have purchased with another airline. Fly other airlines, they have better checked bag policy. I WILL NEVER EVER FLY CATHY PACIFIC AGAIN.

This was my first CP experience and on the positive, it got me from point A to point B, and the choices and ease with entertainment was nice. They even provide headphones, not just earbuds. When I searched for this flight, I found it on CP's partner American Airlines, for 1/2 the price as Cathay. Would I have paid the higher price had I known then that CP wouldn't acknowledge my booking until I showed up at the check-in counter, and one can't choose seats when booking through AA? The flight was full and the seat they gave me had seat support for the seat in front of me directly in front of me, so I had to put both carry ones overhead. At least my neighbors were nice enough to allow me to stretch my legs into their space.

I decided to try a different airline and definitely Cathay is a big let down. I would NEVER EVER recommend Cathay, and definitely won't be flying with them in the future. Our flights got canceled and never got notified. I had to scramble for my family of 8 that planned this reunion.

При покупке билетов, мы читали в интернете , что компания входит в топ 5 самых классных компаний😂😂😂 каким было наше удивление , когда на стойке регистрации мы попросили повысить нам класс перелета, но услышали отказ. Якобы с эконома в бизнес нельзя , максимум - эконом плюс. Цены на эконом плюс в интернете были 200 долларов на человека, а на стойке нам назвали цены в 800 долларов за человека. Еда была ужасной, самолет был ужасный
