Google
Great place to show some love (and get some back) from beautiful cats and cute as can be kittens. A wonderful place to relax and get rid of any stress you may have. I love going to the cafe especially when they have Kittenpalooza. The Cafe is very clean and quiet and has a wonderful staff. You can tell all the kitties are well loved and taken care of. I am attaching a few pics from some cuties at Kittenpalooza. I highly recommend the cafe and of course the ability to adopt these sweet babies.

Google
Everytime I come to Norfolk, I have to stop by Catnip Cat Cafe. The kitties are wonderful and the atmosphere is great. I suggest you come earlier in the day to have active kitties to play with... Later in the day is nap time and while that's totally cool and zen, if you're looking to interact with the kitties, come near opening. They have coffee and tea, but I've never had it - I'm there for the cats! 🤣

We went during kittenpalooza and had a fantastic time! They had about 15 kittens in the room and each one was so adorable. This was my third visit to the Catnip Cat Cafe and each time is a blast. A lot of the cats are chill and let you pet/play with them; the staff will let you know which ones are a bit more “selective”. The workers here are great; very friendly and knowledgeable.

Google
Freaking off the charts phenomenal idea for these kitties until they find their homes. They get full reign of this place. Toys on top of toys, comfy window perches, tall perches, couches, chairs…. Feline Luxury. You pay to play and it goes towards their food and things they need. The idea is to get them/keep them use to the attention from us two legged beings, keep them occupied and loved on until they are adopted. They also have kittens they keep in a separate area that you can go keep company. It’s reservation only but we got lucky. I didnt know you had to have one. I just needed some animal lovin and October said, they had plenty open availability so we paid for a 30 min slot and enjoyed the company. Really lovin this idea.

Google
Great place to spend half an hour. Snuggle some cats, help a good cause. It's really pleasant. We've been several times. My kiddo loves cats. Great place to meet your new kitty friend, as most are available for adoption.

Brigitte L.

Google
Good place to bond with kitties and adopt. We came just to visit. A couple of the kitties took a liking to my son. Its not a restaurant, but they have tea and hot chocolate you can help yourself to.

Google
My grandson and I had a wonderful time here! Some cats were super social and others somewhat shy. There were napping cats and playful cats and lounging cats. All adorable!

Google
Third time visiting today! 🥺 If only we had the means to adopt one now, we would. Anyway, we will definitely visit again next time. The cats are soo cute! I was able to hug a lot of them today ahhhhhhhh! 😍 Staffs are friendly too ❤️ They also have pins, magnets and other cute cat stuff you can buy 😍

Yelp
Purrrr-fect first visit! I decided to pop in with my senior Dad for a visit while we possibly think of adopting a cat. We did not have a reservation and since it was a Tuesday and they were not busy, we were able to do so. We opted for the 30 minutes visit which was $10/pp. The employee who was working and caring for the cats was very nice and super informative. We asked lots of questions about the cats and the business itself. She was knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions. They currently have 23 cats in residence. The Catnip Cat Cafe is spacious and clean. The cats are not confined and have free roam of the entire space with lots of toys and places to sleep. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return. There is complementary coffee/ tea as well.

Yelp
DO NOT ADOPT KITTENS FROM HERE!!!!! we have had our kittens ONE WEEK and have had so many run arounds. they didn't spay/ neuter our cats after telling us they did. they told us the day of once we put the cat in the carriers, meaning our kittens were at the age where he could've gotten her pregnant and they're constantly telling us that he can't. who the heck wants to chance that? we continue to text them for days saying our male kitten is having green discharge for 2days in his eyes and they tell us to watch it for a few more DAYS and then let them know if he still has it. at that point i've reached my limit and send a lengthy text that they need to fix these cats immediately and they need to be seen by a vet for any other issues including the eye issue. come to find out he had a bacterial issue with his eyes and our female kitten had congestion in her chest. BOTH needing medication for this and pain meds on top of that for getting fixed. my husband and I made very clear we were first time owners and they offered no advice after the cats had been fixed on what to do with them. didn't even tell us to separate the cats so we had to stay up all night googling what to do considering the cats should've been fixed and chipped when we got them because that's what we were told so we're in this completely blind. we have been asking for FIVE days now for their veterinary records so we can take them to their own vet and they aren't sending them. it makes me really upset that this is the way they've treated their kittens as they go to a new home. After constantly saying if they're anything wrong in the first 2 weeks- month to immediately message them and they will send the kittens to their vet and have them checked so they stay in good health, yet every time we've messaged this woman in charge we have to message her 2-3 times to get a response and that can take up to 3 days. I understand people are busy but you gave us cats that were sick and needed help. they have been absolutely no help. pls don't even get me started on the foster home our male kitten was kept in.....after getting fixed they kept our kittens in the carrier all day not once letting them out to use the bathroom so when we came 24 hours later at 6pm to pick them up, one of our kittens had gone diarrhea in her carrier and there was poop stuck on the feet of our male kitten. This experience has been completely horrific. please hear me when I say to go somewhere better. you can't say you care about kittens and give them away in this health and have this type of system going. we absolutely refuse to give our kittens back but this is not an experience I wish for anyone

Yelp
Stunning!! Offered 50-minute intervals to play with kittens during the Kitten-Palooza 3-day event! Unlike other cat cafés, this location is reservation-dependent but is more relaxed. The cats are seemingly well taken care of, and play areas are supervised by employees. Nearly all of the kittens are very full of energy and enjoy playing as well as curling up for naps. Reservations and younger ages are limited, putting the cats in much more comfortable scenarios with a more relaxed environment. Keep in mind when visiting that these are living beings, and deserve respect as well as space!

Yelp
My son and I enjoyed playing with the cats! They were so playful and loved chasing the cat wands around the room!

Yelp
Such a great spot! I recommend ordering your beverage once your time starts so you can sip on it as you go!! They do not serve any food. Most of the cats were asleep, but there were a few who wanted to play around! Thirty minutes is a great amount of time and it was mostly spent with their cat maple! I'll be returning to visit her again!

Yelp
Adopt, don't shop! Catnip Cat Café offers a cozy environment where you get to meet, cuddle, and spend time with adoptable cats and kittens! Plenty of seating, toys, and room to walk around. I enjoyed meeting Kimberly, Frankie, Dora, Lily, and Gilbert! They were all so affectionate and had great personalities - I hope they find a loving home very soon! Staff were welcoming and super friendly! Walk-ins may be available, but make reservations to guarantee a spot! Note that you can reserve for 1 hour or a quick 30 minutes, and there is a fee. You also receive a complimentary beverage (coffee, tea, hot cocoa, or water) with your reservation. There were plenty of street parking available. +adopt, don't shop! +adorable adoptable cats! +1 hour or 30-minute reservations available with a fee +complimentary beverage included in reservation +plenty of street parking

Yelp
I have walked by this place a couple of times and decided to make a reservation for a 30 minute session to play with some cats. It's $8/person for 30 min and $12/person for an hour. It's a cool operation. You can adopt any of the cats. Most of the cats were napping when I walked in, but there were a couple fun personalities that I spent some time with that wanted to be petted and played with. I like the colorful wands that the cafe provides for you to play with the cats with. There's a separate room to grab coffee and tea from included in the price. There's plenty of comfy seating, so you can just relax. It's a cool, chill experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent operation. Very clean and well run. Great way to spend an hour with some kitty cats if you like kitty cats. Cats seem content and well treated. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Coffee and tea included with your entry fee.
google avatar

Nathan G.

Yelp
It was really easy to make a reservation online and then go hang out with the cats. Check-in was fast, and there's lots of friendly cats just chilling. The space is cozy and outside drink is allowed. There's a free parking lot around the corner. This is a great place to spend an hour with cats!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely amazing and fun! All the cats were supper nice and fun to play with. I wanted to adopt them all! The lady was super nice and it was overall amazing

Yelp
Great experience, clean location, and friendly staff! We were looking for a fun diversion while on vacation at VB, and hanging with cats was just the thing. Especially with moody teens in tow. Would definitely come again, and it's good to know that we're helping to socialize the cats to help them get adopted!

Yelp
If you're reading this, haven't been here before and curiosity hasn't gotten the better of you about the cafe, shame on you! You don't have to be on the look out to adopt to enjoy Catnip Cafe; it's a chill spot if you want a new place to hang out that's different than your usual, or maybe you need somewhere quiet to escape the outside world. Reserve a spot for the hour online for $10pp - free wifi, drink/s included. The cafe promotes adoption and believe in "don't shop, adopt", with cats coming from Norfolk SPCA. So if you are looking to add some extra love to your family, this could just be the place to find the right cat for you and fall in love with their individual personality - they all have one! Im so glad to see that most of the kitties that were here when I last visited have moved on to forever homes, and now there are new ones... which me and my girlfriend had a REALLY hard time leaving behind! I've said it before and I'll say it again, book your spot right meow (not sorry mwahahaha!!)

Yelp
So happy to finally have one of these spots close by! Ive been hearing about "Cat Cafe's" all over TV and the concept seems genius! Maybe your SO is allergic? Maybe you love cats but hate litter boxes? Maybe your apartment doesn't allow pets? With Cat Cafe you get all the benefits of having a cat, but without the responsibility! (Kind of like grandkids ;) ) Cat cafe currently house 14 cats. All of which have their own unique personality AND are adoptable! Whats awesome about this place is if you happen to be in the market for a cat, you can come here, see how you actually bond with the fur baby and then decide if you both click. This cafe works closely with the Norfolk SPCA and Billy the Kidden for their rescues. With two floors, plenty of toys for playing and couches for lounging, you are sure to find your happy place in this sea of purring love. Would highly recommend coming in and distressing your life here. Who knows, maybe you will find your forever friend along the way! P.s-Follow them on facebook if you ever want to try out some Cat Yoga! Dates and times for the event will be posted there.

Yelp
I love the concept of the cafe of being able to help cats who need a home and hang out with cute cats for an hour! Here are some tips: 1. It is $10/hour if you don't get any packages 2. There are complementary drinks (water, coffee, tea and hot cocoa) available 3. Make a reservation to make sure you get a spot 4. Come ten minutes early to make your drinks and get your full hour in My boys and I had a blast here! I felt I overpaid a little ($30 for our party of 3), but told myself it was for a good cause. The cafe is very comfortable, with couches upstairs and downstairs to hang out. There are cute cat things all over - games, books, comics, pictures and of course, the cats themselves! It was a good place to relax and spend quality time with my kids and play with the cats.

Yelp
What a cute cat cafe! I've traveled throughout the world and always try and visit the cat cafe if I can and unexpectedly found this place while visiting the beach near Norfolk! The set up is like a 2 story house and I recommend making a reservation so your check-in is eazy breeze but my boyfriend and I came unexpectedly to do some work and just walked in. We were quickly greeted and welcomed. Only $10 an hour is hella cheap...some cat cafes charge like $15 for half an hour and others charge a lot for their specialty coffee drinks. Catnip Cat Cafe is simply a cat lovers hang out place with complimentary refreshments, which I appreciate. No gimmicks and true love for the cats here. Honestly, I think other cat cafes should learn a lesson from these guys. If visiting the Norfolk area and a cat love...check out Catnip Cat Cafe. I definitely look forward to returning if I'm ever back in Norfolk.

Yelp
I enjoyed this place very much, not only were the cats friendly, but the staff there is friendly as well. Everything is so chill and I could have stayed there for hours were just being in the cats' presence even if the didn't give me an ounce of attention.

Yelp
If you are interested in adopting a cat please look elsewhere! This is just a warning from one cat lover to another. The run around my daughter has gone through is RIDICULOUS! We were told the cat she was interested in is a BONDED PAIR. She did the application and was told she was approved and was even asked if she would be willing to be a foster. Then, she was told that someone else wanted one of the cats so she could have one and another sibling. So... the two are NOT really a bonded pair but it is a manipulation tactic to adopt multiple cats. We were told the adoption process takes 3-5 days. My daughter was excited and was told she would get an update, when none came she called, she was told to email, so she emailed. Then after 10 days she finally received an email that says "We can still discuss adoption, but you must go by our process and not try to work around it by visiting or calling everyone". So visiting the cats and loving them and being excited about adopting them is a negative thing? To add insult to injury .... what kind of statement is THIS..."We are very hesitant to adopt to college students, because their maturity level is usually just not developed" HOW DARE THEY! My daughter is on a full ride scholarship - has held down a job whilst being captain of TWO sports teams and kept above a 4.0 GPA. Responsibility is not her problem. She is MATURE enough to move 1/2 way across the country on her own and live in an apartment supporting herself! The lack of responsibility is on the Catnip Cafe with their miscommunication, gaslighting, and judgemental tone, not on my daughter. They may have the best of intentions for their cats... but they definitely do not for the people trying to adopt from them. You pay to visit, you fall in love, and then the nightmare begins. See attached email response from my daughter simply asking if she should look to adopt elsewhere. Why not just say yes instead of all the belittling?

Yelp
More of a lounge and adoption center than a true cafe, The Catnip Cafe is a new Norfolk business dedicated to providing good homes to cats of all ages. With a dozen plus cats wandering the floors in various stages of relaxation and play, the cafe gives patrons a chance to meet and interact with potential future pets. Each cat has a posted biography that explains their temperament and vaccination status, and the staff are more than happy to discuss each cats' upbringing and past. Some cats are incredibly timid and avoid human interaction, though most are perfectly well behaved and social. Each cat is also available for immediate adoption at a reasonable price. For a building housing so many cats, the cafe is very clean and doesn't have a "pet" smell to it. Additionally, free WiFi is offered, making the cafe a calm, enjoyable and often therapeutic place to study or unwind. As mentioned above, the Catnip Cafe is more of a lounge than an actual cafe, but if you go with this expectation in mind, you'll have a blast meeting all of the feline residents of the building.

Yelp
A solid way to relax and pet cats. Kitten room was as wild as kitties are but was very comfortable. All the staff was friendly and nice.

Yelp
OMG THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE. If you have not visited Catnip Cat Cafe, you are missing out. I love everything about this place. The staff are super duper friendly, the cats are so sweet, and the facility itself is done very well. During my visit, there were about 14 cats up for adoption. These cats were from our local SPCA, so their slogan "adopt, don't shop" fits them well. The youngest cat I met was about 5 months old (Bo-such a sweet boy). All of the cats are free roaming, which I love! This is honestly the best part of Catnip Cat Cafe. The facility has a two door system, so that none of our furry friends escape. There is an upstairs and downstairs with plenty of cat toys, seating, and cute decor. So how does it work?! Well, you can either make a reservation or walk in-I suggest making a reservation. They can only have a certain amount of people during the hour. You pay $10/per hour and are free to pet your heart out. They also offer complimentary water, tea, or coffee while you play. Catnip Cat Cafe has only been open for a short amount of time and they have already completed about 45 adoptions! This is awesome news. Make sure you check out their apparel (earrings, shirts, socks, bags, etc) and like them on FB! They host cat yoga sessions, which is something I'm dying to try. If you have not visited Catnip Cat Cafe, then make sure you do! You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
There are many reasons why people love cats. People like me love them, because they are playful, sweet, independent, and give you just the right amount of attention. Their purring is calming, cuddles are loving, and they are just awesome to have. Well at Cafe Catnip you get the chance to really know a cat before you adopt one, and receive a non stressful adoption. I have two animals in my household that I have saved. When it came to choosing a pet at a regular SPCA it CAN be kinda stressful. (not always) When you get to the SPCA there is a lot of noise, which is understandable. These poor animals are in cages. You get a tiny bit of time to get to know a pet. The animal that you are dealing with are super afraid, because they have been in cages for weeks, and here you are trying to get to know them in this tiny area. Now I am not saying don't go to SPCA to save an animal. If you are the type that can get stressed real easily, then you might want to try the catnip cafe. This place was very very clean. The cats are well taken care of, before you receive them... That way you are receiving your cat in the best possible way. As I walked into Catnip Cafe it was very welcoming. They have little cat lover gifts that you can buy, and you can pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea. This place is like a big house for cats! There were cats calmly sitting at the windows watching the rain. There were cats that were ready to play or receive attention. They roamed around this 2,000 square foot cafe, and you got to really see how these cats reacted to different playing methods, different people, and other cats. This is like shopping at Chanel, but for cats! You get to play, pet, snuggle, shop, drink java, and adopt all in one place. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cat....AND NOT JUST LOOKING...but trying to SAVE a cat. Your experience will be great for you and your cat.

Yelp
Catnip Cat Cafe is an amazing and unique way for the local cats to get adopted! During our visit they had 12 cats, freely roaming/living around a 2-story, 2000 square foot cafe with toys for days, high up beams to walk on, and even window seats! It pains me to see all the cats just sitting in cages when I go to the local SPCA or the NACC. Having a place like this that feeds them, cares for them, allows people to come play with them and possibly take them home for a forever home is such a great idea! All 12 cats seemed extremely well cared for. You had your shy cats, playful cats, adventurous cats, cuddly cats, fat and sassy cats (one named Merlot in particular) and everything in between. The employees during my visit were extremely knowledgeable about each cat we encountered! Each had a write-up posted on the wall of their age, gender, a little back story, and tips if they are okay with other animals or not. They provided us with coffee, tea, and water during our visit to make the "cafe" aspect come alive. It was a great way to walk around and enjoy our time with some beautiful kitties! They have only been here for a short amount of time and have already done about 45 adoptions! That is incredible! Please choose Catnip Cat Cafe first if you are looking for a new kitty to bring into your family.

Yelp
My cousin and I were thrilled to hear about a cat cafe in Norfolk, so of course we had to come! We went at 130 on a Tuesday, and the staff was super helpful and welcoming! There are plenty of signs around the doors and instructions to ensure the cats don't get out on accident. You can make a reservation online or walk-in! The cost is $10/hr per person. They offer free coffee, water, and tea! Instructions were simple and easy to follow - sanitize your hands, don't chase the cats, don't wake up the cats, etc. There are plenty of cats and tons of space! We counted ~15 cats. It's super clean, and there's plenty to do. The cats are friendly and sociable. They also offer tons of cute merchandise! Definitely check that out. The staff was great! Our time was over at 230, but it was down-pouring outside. We asked if we could purchase another 1/2 hour to wait out the rain, but they were accommodating and told us that it was okay to just stay. There wasn't anyone else there, so they didn't mind! The only downside was this place was a little hard to find. The signs aren't very large. But I am super excited to see how this place does!

Yelp
The owners are absolutely wonderful! I needed to donate our gently used cat condos (due to our PCS to Japan our pets were relocated to live with family in California until we return) and they gladly took them! My son had been missing his cat and he absolutely loved being at the cafe, counting the cats, petting and playing. If we ever need to adopt I would definitely go here!

Paul S.

Yelp
My adult daughter and I made an appointment and visited on a Saturday afternoon. All the cats are clean and look well-cared for. There was a small room up front and larger room just beyond with a hallway leading to a small area for shy cats. There were plenty of climbing structures for the cats with food and water bowls spaced out. There was plenty of seating for people to sit with cats or just watch them. We were told there were 22 cats around though we probably only saw about 15. Some cats like to sleep hidden away which is understandable. The cats were all adorable and of many varieties. The purpose of the place is to get cats adopted so they charge $12 per adult for one hour. It's worth it if you enjoy petting kitties which we do. We no longer have cats at home and miss them. Though we weren't looking to adopt, the people working there were very friendly and ready to answer questions.
google avatar

Keri C.

Yelp
Absolutely so much fun. Took my four year old and she was in heaven. The people that work there were so nice and KNOWLEDGEABLE! Definitely check them out if you're looking to adopt! We can't wait to go back. It was so calming and meditative for me which I wasn't expecting. Can't give them enough stars.

Yelp
Did cat yoga this morning. A great place to hang out with some up for adoption kitties. Very relaxed environment and clean. Hard to believe 18 cats live there.

Bobbie T.

Yelp
Love the concept of a chill place for cats and potential pet owners to get to know one another. This location was intriguing, so we signed up for an hour to have a drink and mingle with the cats. Very sparsely decorated and we were told there were 21 cats in the room. Only saw 7 or 8, so the rest must have great hiding spots for napping. Not a real cafe, kind of a self serve little kitchenette. They also had a minimal shop area with toys and treats, did not find anything special to pickup for our cat.

Yelp
What's a great way to de-stress? Catnip Cafe is! Partnered with Norfolk SPCA and Billy the Kidden Rescue, Catnip Cafe provides 2000 square feet on 2 floors of kitty heaven. Kitties of all shapes and sizes have the freedom to roam, toys to stimulate them, and YOU. Adopt, don't shop. Here, out of the kennels of the regular shelter, the kitties get a chance to show you their true personality. Less stress, less noise, and the freedom to roam gives you a real chance to see how these kitties shine. Clean, comfy furniture is scattered around each room. Toys are never far from reach(nor is a kitty!), and all the books and games are kitty themed! Each kitty has a tag with their name and sex listed, can you find all in residence before you leave? Wifi and complimentary beverages are included in the $10/hour fee. The hot cocoa is awesome! A heads up, while Cafe is in the name, don't expect barista style beverages. The drinks are not the star of this establishment, the cats are and should be. Reservations aren't required but encouraged and can be booked online. Children over the age of 3 are welcome but please follow the Catnip Cafe rules! There's even KITTY YOGA AND PAINTING! *these are special events, check out the Facebook page for more information * Check out the kitty swag, necklaces, earrings, etc. made by WhenURStrange. After 2 hours I knew most of the kitties names and personalities and I loved them. I had a blast being snubbed then loved by sassy Merlot. Sydney was such a sweet cuddle bug who turned out to have a sneaky playful streak. Harold is such a sweetie, can't get enough of the head bump rubs and even belly rubs! Sammy will flip his way into your heart. If you are looking for a new family member or just need to relax Catnip Cafe should be your first stop. The staff are welcoming and so knowledgeable, available to help you find your new family member. Get yourself to Catnip Cafe!

Yelp
A really great place to destress. They have rooms for studying, lots of couches and chairs, and even a room for cat yoga. There's tons of games and books with quirky little poems, stories, and pictures. The decor alone is a cat lady's dream come true. It's $10 an hour per person with unlimited coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. You do have to sign a waiver because lets be honest cats are cats. All cats are adoptable, and the staff is very knowledgeable on the cats and if they'll be a good fit for you. Highly recommend if you're a feline lover.

Emma W.

Yelp
Amazing place to relax and play with the cats! loved it and we definitely recommend it
google avatar

Yelp
How you know your city has made it? A cat cafe! So many cute and cuddly kitties. Come here to do your homework (wifi) and love on a kitty. You can adopt them too! It's like a cat audition. Loved it!
google avatar

Tsugumi S.

Yelp
This is a great place for people who love cats and want to pet them on their free time. They take reservations only to pet the cats. It's $10.00 an hour and with that you get to pet the cats for an hour, have drink refreshments like coffee and water, and there's wifi! They get their cats from the SPCA.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
I get to surround myself with a dozen loveable and handsome cats and not be called a crazy cat lady. Sign me up! Well worth the $10 an hour charge to support this worthy cause. I wish we lived closer to visit more frequently but my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our quick visit with these cuties.

Cody F.

Yelp
The rating isn't for the actual place. It for the people and how it's ran. My girlfriend and I recently tried to adopt a cat from the cafe and were told no by a woman we spoke to because we have a pit Bull and "it's an aggressive breed and I don't want that around one of my cats"
google avatar

Yelp
Of course it's great, you get to have 30+ minutes of hanging out with adorable kitties. But to be honest, I don't really think you can qualify this as a café... there's a little room with a coffee machine and hot water as well where you can prepare tea and hot chocolate, and of course just cold water as well. But some doctor's offices also provide a coffee machine, tea and water, and you wouldn't consider that a café. Other cat cafés provide drinks made by employees at the café as well as food, I was just a little disappointed this wasn't the same in all honesty... but the main attraction of the place is obviously the kitties, so I was happy to hang out with all of them. I was just hoping I could've popped by for something to eat while watching the kitties play, but there's many places to eat surrounding this place so you can eat before or after enjoying the kitties company. Also, I didn't catch the name of the lady who was working there the day I had visited, but she seemed very stand-offish... I attempted to chat a bit with her and joked a bit with her as well, but she barely replied back to me and she seemed very awkward as if she didn't really want to talk to me... I don't know. She wasn't rude, she just seemed as if she didn't really want to be there that day. I hope she is doing well.

Yelp
Had a great experience. Coffee/ tea was a little disappointing, but understandable given the main attraction is petting cats and not the concessions. Very clean and hats are very well taken care of! Board games are also available, which is a nice touch.

Yelp
This is the second time we visited this place and it's super cute and fun. The animals appear to be well cared for and some super lovable. I would recommend visiting it and even bringing the kids. We will be back.

Yelp
This was my first ever cat cafe. I had heard a lot about them and followed them on Facebook for awhile. Finally was in the area and decided to stop by. This place is delightful and calm. As a cat lover I enjoyed playing with their cats. The staff was very knowledgeable about each cat and very helpful for a first time visitor.

Yelp
What's not to love about a place where you can play and cuddle with kittens and maybe take home a new companion? I really appreciate the steps they take to keep visitors safe and the cats happy. And remember, adopt, don't shop!

Yelp
The cat cafe is very spacious for cats to hang out upstairs, downstairs, on the stairs and on the ceiling . There are plenty of toys and seating for you to enjoy time with the cats. They have a space to do yoga with the cats also. There is cat merchandise available near the front of the café as well as coffee teas and water refreshments. It was a pleasure speaking with the owners and their staff. Truly good people working for a great cause.

Yelp
This place is very nice and welcoming. They serve regular coffee and tea but just that. These place cares for the kittens. These kittens are ready to go to a new home. A place where you can experience what would it be if you decided to adopt a kitten you can make your decision while you are there. you can pet all of these kittens for a very small fee and includes coffee or tea.

Yelp
Great place for all cat lovers! The coffee and tea is very basic, you make it yourself and the coffee isn't the best, but it's worth the visit if you want to spend some time with some pretty amazing and chill cats!

Yelp
This is the best cat café I have been to! $10/hour was such an amazing deal to get to spend an hour with the cats they have. It was just an awesome group of cats, they all got along so well with each other and were so sweet to the visitors. This really is as good as it gets.

Yelp
I love cat cafes. I've been to a few in the NYC area, and they're great for those of us who can not have pets in our apartments. Catnip Cafe is new to VA Beach area, and it shows great promise. Its a little bar at the moment, but for the amount of space they have (two floors!), they can house many more cats. The cafe is super clean, and doesn't smell like litter boxes. The staff is very friendly, and were happy to talk about the recent adoption they had. $10/hour, per person. On par with prices for the cat cafe in Brooklyn ($5/half hr). I followed them on Insta, to see how much they grow in the coming months. Best of luck!

Yelp
Avoid adopting cats from Billy The Kidden Rescue. They are notorious for adopting out sick cats, leaving the new owners with hundreds of dollars of vet bills. AVOID!!! AVOID!!! Get your animals from the ASPCA.

Yelp
My wife loves this local business! Perfect place to find a wonderful cat to adopt. If you can't have a cat where you live, you can get your kitty fix by stopping by. Also they have Cat Yoga, Paint Night, and cute gifts for cat lovers! Don't miss a chance to visit this gem.

Yelp
I was so excited to hear about a cat cafe opening in Norfolk. The stuff they had on sale in the gift shop was adorable. My cousin who went with me couldn't get enough of the shirts there. And the staff was really kind. It rained hard on the day we arrived and they let us stay for an extra half hour with no charge to avoid the rain. The only thing about the place is that it is no necessarily a cafe where you can buy lattes, but they have an area where you can brew some coffee and tea for free so that's a nice service. Just don't go if you're hungry because there is no snacks. The cats were a delight, I only wish there were more. One more thing, make sure to read the little descriptions that are written for the cats, they're hilarious!

Yelp
Great establishment and very clean! Love the idea and concept behind it. Kind of tucked away in Ghent but well worth the search! Highly recommend it for those who want to adopt in more of a relaxed environment! Staff was super too!
