I first came here in 2008, while I was staying in Baltimore for a month for a work project. It quickly became my favorite place. Whenever I stop in Baltimore now, I come here to check out a band. Great place, great vibe great music, and great employees! You can tell that Morgan really cares about the place and the people that work there! A hidden gem for sure!

Jonathan N.

Google
My friends and I frequent here. Such great staff and live music most nights. The vibe is like being at a house party with close friends. Morgan was sure to show us a great time. He was an awesome host and treated us like family. I would highly recommend coming here if you are looking for something to do in Fells Point. Great drinks, better times!

Lucas M.

Google
This has to be my most gone to bar in Baltimore. A genuine dive bar that has stayed very fun. Always great music, always nice people, and most importantly will never break your bank. 10/10 spot

Brenda P.

Google
I spent my youth in the Cat's Eye in the 70's listening to Celtic music and enjoying the vibe. I moved away in the 80's and returned to Baltimore for family reasons recently. I always stopped by when in town and although the music scene has changed, blues is my next favorite genre, the atmosphere and the great staff remains the same. As many of my favorite haunts in Fells Point have gone by the wayside, RIP Leadbetters and Bertha's, Thank you Cat's Eye for keeping my favorite bar alive and in the spirit that it was founded!

Michele K.

Google
Great dive bar to go for live music

Adam D.

Google
The bartender there, Bri? Beat attitude in Baltimore, and pours the best drinks. Hit up the Cat's Eye if you are tired of the corporate shill bars in the area.

Google
I‘m frequently in Baltimore and always drop by in Cat‘s Eye Pub. Great staff and live music, great variety of beer and a very friendly and welcoming owner - I think his name is Tony.

Brian D.

Google
Cat's Eye Pub might be my favorite bar in Baltimore, and maybe the country. Great spot in Fells Point that has overlooked the harbor for 50 years. They offer up some of the freshest draft beer you'll ever have with plenty of common and local brews to choose from, along with a fully stocked bar. Live music almost every day in the year. Service and atmosphere are always top notch, and the owner(Tony) is a fun, energetic guy. A must visit when in Baltimore.

Yelp
An absolute Baltimore classic! Cat's Eye is the real deal--laid-back vibe, friendly bartenders, and some of the best live music in the city. You never know what kind of band will be playing, but it's always a good time. The fact that they're celebrating 50 years says it all. It's one of those rare places that hasn't lost its soul. No frills, no fake scene--just good drinks, good people, and great music in a spot that feels like home. A true Fells Point institution.

Yelp
Crab cake was great. Paired with a local beer and I was happy. More about the locals and quirkiness. Definitely a quick stop.

Yelp
Used to love going into the Cats eye as they always had great music through the whole week. The other day, October 2025, the service was ok but the music was horrid! Come to find out a friend of mine went last week and said the same thing. It looks like there is a very slow rotation of bands. It's like an open mike night at a coffee house. There used to be really talented acts. Please find some new acts with talent. Cats eye, you can do better!!
google avatar

Thembi S.

Yelp
This place may very well be great and that is why asociates of mine always go there. However, it gives me Maga vibes real heavy. Very little diversity (except for 4-5 token Black folks scattered about), crap music (unless there is a live band playing, which does seem to be fairly often), and limited craft beer options. Not much for me cling onto there.
google avatar

Yelp
Stumbled into this bar in fells point and had a great time. Live music, casual environment, and very friendly service. Definitely a fells point staple for drinks
google avatar

Paul C.

Yelp
The best of what you could ask for in a pub! And the music was fire every night!! It's hard to find a place like this when you're traveling, but when you do it's like a warm blanket and that's where you finish up after a long day of checking out Bmore.
google avatar

Yelp
If you are in Baltimore - if you can only go to one bar, in my opinion, this is the one you should make time for. My personal favorite bar in Baltimore. Excellent service, live music 365 days a year, the best draft beer around. A true Baltimore original that has been around going on 50 years. There are plenty of excellent bars in Baltimore and Fells Point in particular, but this one stands out above them all.
google avatar

Sophia M.

Yelp
The service was really good and so was the live music! This was my first time trying a pickle back shot and it was actually good
google avatar

Shannon F.

Yelp
Live music every night, good drinks, just a great vibe for a dive bar in Fell's Point. Came here several nights during my short stay. Can't wait to get back here again.
google avatar

Kate C.

Yelp
Live music dive bar with cheap drinks. We had dinner next door and came by after to watch a couple live music sets. It seemed like a very local place - everyone knew everyone.
google avatar

Nancy O.

Yelp
Awesome bar for live music and meeting up with friends. People dance up front, so sit at the bar or along the walls unless you want to join in. The space extends across the sidewalk with an outdoor seating area, so you can bring your dog or just enjoy the waterfront view. Best bartenders in Baltimore too!
google avatar

Noaa B.

Yelp
What a cool place!! I came here to hear live music. The atmosphere was unpretentious and it was my kind of dive bar! The people there were all nice and welcoming. I talked with some locals and a couple of employees and they were kind and engaging. The decor is interesting with flags, a mural, stickers and many patches everywhere. The band was great and people were just having a good time. They have a large selection of beers on tap and a full liquor bar. There's only two bathroom stalls and they are not the nicest but, it is a dive bar and it has a bathroom. I'm a big fan of those place. If you like dive bars, you'll like this one.
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
This is a great kind of hole in the wall bar. It's a narrow space that can feel quite crowded and loud-- but isn't that what you hope for? Beers were standard and cheap. I didn't notice any craft or local selections, but again... focus on where you are. There's a neat little outdoor patio, if you'd like some space. If you're going on a pub tour of Fells Point, this is a good stop for a quick drink.
google avatar

Emily J.

Yelp
Cats Eye is an institution, the stuff of legends. Live music all the time, with real musicians who care about their craft. You can go there and sit in the back and take it all in or dance your butt off. They just renovated their outdoor space in the front. It's really a special place and if you're coming to Baltimore it's a must visit. Everyone is welcome there. I've seen bachelorette parties, older people, young people, you name it.
google avatar

Ali T.

Yelp
I've been coming here for two decades. My favorite bar in fells. Great live music. Friendly staff. Reasonable door cover charge. Eclectic and friendly patrons. Prices are reasonable as well. Outdoor section in back when the weather is nice.

Daniel M.

Yelp
Great spot for a drink and some live music! Great patio and outdoor space to relax and enjoy some music and views.
google avatar

Scarlet K.

Yelp
I been coming here for years!!! The service is great and the owner Is awesome!!! It's definitely worth the $5 dollar Cover. Plus you get a free beer or white claw. The place is down to Earth and the people and bands are amazing. If you haven't been it's definitely a must !!!
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
Just a cool place to enjoy a drink and great music in Historic Fells Point. Safe and inviting to all.

Lisa W.

Yelp
This place sucks. The people are old, drunk, the place is loud, it is only full of white people, no cross culture even though they play bluesy music. The only person of color was the door man. On top of all that, the bathrooms stink of urine. I don't care what kind of music they are playing, what is the point if it is so loud you can't hear yourself think. Yes, it is a dive bar, but there is nothing here that makes you comfortable and want to stay and chill. Go some place else....this place is a dump.
google avatar

Melanie U.

Yelp
Crazy place with great music , wonderful staff. Don't go in hungry. No food was available. But worth a visit!

James P.

Yelp
What a great place to have a beer and listen to good music. This is a Baltimore institution with a long history in the Fells Point area. Grab a beer and enjoy!
google avatar

Patrick M.

Yelp
Haven't been down to Fells in 5-6 years. Had a good time but the this place never changes and is always a good vibe with great people.

Rob H.

Yelp
Great Live Music!!!! Service was outstanding with a full bar!!! Met the owner briefly, really good guy!!
google avatar

Rick G.

Yelp
This gem of a hole in the wall bar has it all! Cheap beer, live music, the obligatory drunk girl dancing with the locals...it's a slice of unpretentious heaven.
google avatar

Peggy G.

Yelp
Fun Irish Bar . Great music with ice cold Budweiser in the bottle, nice view. Had Lots of fun
google avatar

Brandon Z.

Yelp
Cool hole in the wall bar in Fells Point. Neat historic area with cobblestone streets. I stopped in to have a beer while I waited for my dinner table next door. Decent draft beer selection. Bar tender was friendly. They were setting up for live music that started at 8. I just dig the cool old building with history and a story.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place to get drunk, this is the place. I was kind of disappointed at how early we stumbled in here, because it was not the appropriate time to fully appreciate this pub. However, it led to a more intimidate feel (if that's even possible at dive bars like these) since the bar was empty and we could converse with the bartender freely. Forget her name, but she was a darling and taught me a bit about Baltimore and some of the social issues the city is going through. The bartender told me they play live music here almost every evening. I'm sad we weren't able to stop by again to check out some local musicians, but maybe next time we're visiting we can. I was way too sober for the super narrow and super graffitied bathroom, but looking at all the notes and names plastered over the entire walls, I could only imagine what kind of nights the bathroom had seen and enjoyed. I think this a great bar to swing by on a night you're bar hopping. It could even be the best bar to end at, being trashed and stuck in that bathroom. This pub is a place that will give you crazy stories to tell in the future.

Yelp
Interestingly enough I heard about this place from a friend of mine in England. He had taken a trip to Baltimore, before I met him, and this was his favorite bar in Fells point. He was very adamant about me going there, so I went to check out the place. I finally understood what he had been describing to me for months. I Loved the Cat's! The service is great, they always take care of their packed house with the grace and ease. It's got heritage, history and music every night of the week! Mainly an older crowd, but always a great time at the Cat's! Order yourself a four-horseman, and have yourself a great night. A staple of Fells that must be experienced!
google avatar

Matt H.

Yelp
Best place in fells for classic live music. Great staff none of the drama you see in an area with this many bars.
google avatar

Summer D.

Yelp
Came here on last Saturday & I'm not sure of how the food taste, I just came for the drinks & the live band. The spot was packed! Nice crowd & I enjoyed the band.
google avatar

Helen S.

Yelp
The bartenders are awesome. Maybe not at first, they have a northern edge to them but they do warm up to you. The music (live band) playing the night we were there was awesome. People were dancing and having fun. The drinks are inexpensive and there are many options of beers on draft. The view was amazing. Near the harbor and located on a cobblestone street. This pub was awesome. You should go. If you're in Baltimore. Because it is an awesome place to hang out with the locals. They have great stories. Check out the story on the wall in the men's bathroom. No spoilers. Just check it out. I will go again when visiting Baltimore. It was a fantastic experience all around.

Yelp
i love this place. I have only done day time drinking here but the locals are awesome and love to chat. Bring something you done mind leaving and have them put it up on the mirror for all to see! It is awesome to be in such an old building and walk outside to streets from the 1700's - so much history. They filmed The Wire right across the street. Awesome place with cool peeps - hope you get to see a local named Richard when you visit - the old guy is awesome.

Yelp
This is a bar in Fells Point. Drinks are reasonably priced. A very good band was performing while we were there. Sound levels are loud but not excessive. Everyone seemed to be having a very good time. The only problem is that it was too crowded. It was very difficult to move around. I guess that this place is a victim of it's own success.
google avatar

Charna J.

Yelp
My husband Ray and I had an awesome time here! The service was amazing the band was incredible! I'm so glad we stop through in my husband's bday weekend outing! We so plan to return soon during our next visit
google avatar

Renu O.

Yelp
What an amazing place, awesome music and fun crowd! It's Sunday evening and there's live jazz & blue night

Yelp
Like any respectable crazy cat lady, I had to come here purely based on the name. We also heard the live music pouring out on the street from the windows, so we had to check it out. We stopped in on a Saturday around 3pm. This was one of our final stops walking around Fells Point. The crowd was mixed, but everyone was there to chill and listen to some music. There was guy playing a guitar and harmonica, covering classic rock songs. I love dark bars that are lit up by the outside light, and this was exactly how this bar was... the large windows allowed the sunlight to come in and wash over the dance floor. Most people were gathered on it just talking. It must have been too early for dancing. There was an outdoor area in the back, and lots of pirates hanging out because it was "Privateer's Weekend" at Fells Point. This made people-watching even better. The beers weren't necessarily cheap, but this was a cool place and one we'd stop into again if in the area.
google avatar

Lia M.

Yelp
I actually have memories of this place, unlike someone else you may know (ahem *Aine* ahem). Another typical Fells Point pub, but I really like it, mainly for the same reason I like most bars in this area: cheap, strong, drinks with a come-as-you-are vibe and a friendly crowd that does not care what you wear, who you are, what you do, how much you make. I don't really care for the live music, mainly because it is loud and I can't have a conversation. And in Baltimore bars, people will actually have conversations with you.
google avatar

Lizzie L.

Yelp
Not my cup of Tea. The Good: Live music, beyond casual, and has an outdoor patio in he back The Bad: charge $5 cover, only one bathroom stall, bartenders tend to be rude and weird (tried to steal my wallet once by saying "this looks like a fake ID I'm confiscating this whole wallet" was really bazaar and took me 10 min of harassing another bartender to get him to give it back--I'm 29 btw).
google avatar

Carrie C.

Yelp
This is a fantastic little live music venue in the heart of Fells Point. The staff was fun and the regulars even better! We stopped by during the day and liked it so much we came back that night.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
This is the bar that I have imagined existed but couldn't find until now! Nothin' fancy, just awesome blues, above average beer selection and a diverse fun crowd here for the right reason. I heard this was voted one of the top 20 bars to visit before you die. Hope I've got a few more stops in me before that happens. Top of the list when in Baltimore!!
google avatar

Karen D.

Yelp
Came here around 5pm on a weekday for pre-dinner drinks while on a trip to Baltimore. The music was to start much later, but it was fun to talk to the owner of the bar! She was a sweet, humorous, and pleasant lady. The bartender was also very kind and helpful, as she helped me with 2 samples to figure out what beer would enjoy. They even gave us bumper stickers with the pub name when we departed. It was a great local experience, and I would highly recommend for locals and visitors alike!
google avatar

Jamie B.

Yelp
Loved this place! The bartender was awesome. The drinks were great. Great music, make this a fun place to hang out. Also they have Boddingtons on tap!

Tom D.

Yelp
Came for drinks and enjoyed them music was ok but little loud and bartenders were super nice will totally come back

Bill J.

Yelp
Narrow and wonderful. Great live music and normal brews/cocktails. It smells but the music makes up for the permeating bar scents. As mentioned before, there isn't a whole lot of space near the stage, so expect some awkward standing if it's crowded. We need more places like this in Baltimore and the world.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Fantastic pub in fells point - with great bands. Cool vibe.
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
I love this bar! We first stumbled upon it on a VERY hot day this summer when we were seeking air conditioning. There was a live band, and the bartenders were great! They were very friendly and helped us choose options from among their great draft selections. When guests come into town, I like to check the music calendar on their website to see if we can catch a band during their visit!
google avatar

Alexander B.

Yelp
It's tough to get the vibe right for a dive bar. It has to be dark, but not dirty, tidy, but not thought-out. The Cats Eye ticks so many boxes for me when it comes to drinking establishments that it's a shame I can't give it more than five stars. In many ways, it captures the Irish pub vibe better than any "Flanagan's" or "O'Malley's" or "James Joyce"-titled bar could. The bartender was a character, interacting with all the regulars in a way that lets us outsiders know that this place is truly loved. Halfway through, a fantastic funk and started playing, and the whole crowd got to its feet and started dancing. Their beer selection isn't half bad, either!
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
I can't speak any higher of this place! Came here during my bachelorette party and it was amazing. The band was great, and the bartenders were even better. Once they realized it was my bachelorette party, all the bartenders came to congratulate me. Then they proceeded to buy me a beer AND shots for my whole party. 2 of them even did shots with us. I wish I remembered the bartenders names so I could give them a personal shout out, but I was so happy! Thanks Cat's Eye Pub
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
The owner / bar tender was a great dude. The band was awesome. Looking forward to co,KMG back here.
