Cat's Meow 2 World Famous Karaoke Bar

We were a group of 8 that came here from British Columbia on the Sunday and Monday before Mardi Gras. The atmosphere with the female host MC was incredible. We stayed all Sunday night and hung out on the balcony. However, the female bartender kept trying to give incorrect change intentionally. We are talking discrepancies of $10 USD or more. We all had to watch our change when we ordered drinks. The bathrooms are in desperate need of upkeep. The female MC host alone and how much fun we all had would be worthy of six stars. It's a shame the bartender made us be cautious once we all started comparing notes.

Always heard about this place and been meaning to go for so long as it seemed like a karaoke paradise and sure enough it was. Everyone was in such high spirits and such a wonderful energy the whole time from the crowd to the MC for the night it was an all out great time. Highly recommend to anyone who loves karaoke to visit at least one time and see what a wonderful atmosphere this place is. The drinks are basic nothing super expensive so at least you can enjoy a good decent priced drink and great songs , highly recommend

I had a fantastic time at Cats Meow 2! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with great energy, especially with the karaoke — it really made the night memorable. The Desteni, the bartender, was amazing! Fast, efficient, and incredibly engaging with all the guests. She made sure everyone was well taken care of while keeping the vibe fun. Service was top-notch, and I definitely felt like I was in good hands the entire time. If you’re looking for a fun night out with great drinks and a great time, I highly recommend checking this place out!

Small little karaoke bar with super cool staff and awesome atmosphere. Syringe jello shots are where it's at. Not too crowded but always people dancing and singing. The guy up front showed us his fake ID collection and how to tell the good from the bad.

Super fun place! We spent multiple nights of our trip just people watching here. Drinks were cheap, service was great, no cover. We'd definitely come back!

about 2 months ago our friend group (all over 21) from mississippi went here for a night out. the security at the door checked our ids (and very aggressively said they checked ids) and said they were fakes because the background was different. if he was good at his job, he would know the backgrounds changed recently for all Mississippi Drivers License. He was extremely rude, and yet weirdly enough didn’t take our IDs probably because he knew there was a chance he was wrong.

We came down the second weekend of August 2023 for the Red Dress run and this is our new fav! It has a fun, classy vibe for sure! So clean and trendy, love the decor and atmosphere! The bartenders are great as is all the staff. Mc bbc’Rokka knows how to entertain and keep the party moving! Keeps the crowd interacting with who is on stage. I come to Nola often and this is for sure a newfound jewel! Be sure to stop in when you are in town!

So fun! When their sister bar didn't allow us to bring in outside drinks, we took a chance on Cat's Meow 2. They had no problem with us bringing in outside drinks so we found a table inside. It wasn't so crowded but everyone was def having fun with karaoke. To add your name to the queue, you have to buy a drink and they'll give you a ticket. Then, you can choose from their song list (they have QR codes all over for you to scan and view the list). They have a lot of different choices from all the decades, genres, and new hits. Then, you'll go up to the front, give your song + ticket and wait your turn. Note we did have to wait awhile, maybe 30 min - 1 hr for our song to come around so be prepared to just dance and sing along with everyone else for a bit. Since we were there for a bachelorette, they also called us up for an extra song and had the bride take a Jell-O shot on stage. Drink prices were as expected for the touristy party part of town. Think $12-15 for a cocktail. They've also got beers and non alcoholic options available. Def a fun stop on Bourbon St!

Can't tell the difference between real and fake IDs. Gave them 2 very real IDs (we are 23 and from the Midwest) we were made fun of for how horrible our "fake IDs" were and told we were lucky they didn't keep them. Glad they didn't as then we would've had to involve police to get them back for our flight.

We came in to do karaoke and left to go to see live music at DBA instead. Bathroom had a big leak in the ceiling and the place was overall kinda sad. Very surprise for being in such a high trafficked place. I don't normally leave 1 stars but this place just needs a remodel and fix up asap.

Right down the way from the Cats Meow a second d location with shorter lines and the cleanest bathroom I experienced on Bourbon Street which is reason enough to go. Staff was friendly and fun. If you are looking to sing this is the spot
