11 Best Karaoke Bars in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Located in Neonopolis on Fremont Street, Cat’s Meow claims to be “the best karaoke bar in Las Vegas the world.” It’s recommended to pick your song as soon as you arrive, as there can be hours-long waits to sing between guests and staff performances: it’s part-karaoke bar, part-nightclub and live entertainment. Of course, the decor is floor-to-ceiling cheetah print and neon." - Janna Karel

Google
Better hope your karaoke song is on their list. If you wanna hear the same old karaoke songs, this is your bar. If you want to have the freedom to sing any song you want choose a different bar. The staff and the atmosphere is fantastic. I was really looking forward to singing some “Bad Company feel like making love” or “ Tenacious D “ but it was not on the list along with five other songs I was hoping to sing. Yes. I realize I’m a grumpy man. I just wanted to be able to have the freedom to sing karaoke songs that are normally at any other karaoke bar. Please update your karaoke list !

Google
My gf and I came because we heard there were going to be a bunch of ppl going the night before a BSB concert. No one else showed up but we had zero regrets. The place was super lively and we were entertained the entire evening with the amazing host and above average karaoke singers!! Loved it!!

Google

Google
Stumbled onto this place while visiting Vegas. I really had a great time! I sat through 3 different host and all were top notch and fun. Also talented. They interacted with the crowd very well and helped out people (who needed a little help) during karaoke. This place allows you to enter in and out as you please, after you pay the first time. Also has a nice view of Fremont. Nice chill spot and excellent place to do Karaoke.

Google
If you're looking for a fun experience, this is the place! Not only is there karaoke, but there's really good Bar Service, and a dance floor for drunken envy! Meet some of the Bartenders; Rachel (Energetic and Fun), Peaches (Vibrant and Intoxicating) , Erica (Makes a really amazing Tequila Sunrise), etcetera, I could go on about the bartenders, but I cannot choose who my favorite is, that is just some of the few. The atmosphere is definitely different from bars you're use to! You're bound to have a good night! I highly recommend it from the Moon and back, will be showing up again! :×)

Google
Honestly don’t come here expecting a decent karaoke bar. Hostess sing more songs for themselves than those who came to sing for fun. You’re limited to a certain amount of songs off their list, and the songs are all random nothing typical or staple karaoke songs. Entire vibe is kind of annoying and the vibe is geared more towards people who just turned 21 or just got engaged. Very childish vibe not fun and there a lame cover. Don’t waste your time here.

Google
So happy I stumbled across this place today! It was such a fun time with a super fun crowd, drinks BOGO on happy hour 5-8pm! The drinks are not all juice, they make you a strong drink here. I didn’t have the food this time but next time plan to try it. The staff is 10/10, both MC’s were energetic and fun! It starts getting lit around 8:45-9pm, lots of seating but earlier the better. The place is clean as a whistle and the bathrooms are extremely clean! I will be back 🪩🩷

Google
Had such a good time. Me and my friend Vanessa love to dance and they played all our favorite songs and they INVITED us on stage and we were rock stars for a night! Got free drinks and had a blast. Memories for a lifetime!

Yelp
Been coming here since 2022 and it's amazing to be able to go from my normal day-to-day and feel like a Rockstar every time I walk through the door. Sign up is a breeze but if you come when a crowd has formed it can be a wait to sing. That's why I like that there are fun games and crowd participation times between every song. I even get to hear epic singing from some of the most talented singers in Vegas, hosting as MC's. There isn't food served there but there are plenty of restaurants below you can bring inside Cat's.

Yelp
+++++DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME++++¥ I have been here a number of times over the last 5 years. Saturday night was over the top cringe worthy!I am not a prude and have no issue with anyone wanting the fly their freak flag. That being said watching the 3 couples on the stage pretty much f@@k to compete for Jell-O shot was nuts. We were there about 2 hours before we left and during that time there were only 3 customers (no one in my group) that came up to sing. The MC and friends completely took over the stage. We had a group of 20+ people ranging in age from 21 to 55 and every one of them was dumbfounded to what they witnessed and shortly after we all left. I was extremely disappointed and had gone on and go to everyone about how much fun Cats Meow was. Please go back the karaoke aspect of the bar. **********I definitely will not be back and I am sure the management and owners could care less!

Yelp
This bar is cute, but the karaoke is not it. People come to karaoke bars to...do karaoke. I came in with 5 people who wanted to sing at 8:30pm. The issue with this bar is that the host spends SO. MUCH. TIME. singing every other song. So they let someone on the list go, they do a crazy long song, then bring up another person. They do this to make you pay $100 so you can skip the line and go sooner. "We do a different format" yeah a bad one. How about have the host perform if the waitlist is short? If you have people who want to do karaoke, how bout actually let them do karaoke. By the time it was 11pm, we were 12 people away. 2.5 hours and the first one to sign up in the group was still 12th in line? Our group left after ordering like 2 crappy drinks each since we were waiting so long. Waste of time, not recommending this place to anyone, and not coming back.
google avatar

Taylor C.

Yelp
If you want to sing you have to wait 3 hours because karaoke hosts have to sing in between the patrons because they are so just soooo talented.

Yelp
I went to Cats Meow twice on my last trip to Vegas .We were staying downtown at the Fremont ( we love it) and I had read horror stories about $20 cover charges ,KJ's that sang all the time and favored certain people, long wait times and paying $100 just to sing..... Well I went early during happy hour on a weekday and I had no such issues we paid no cover, got to sing several songs not times( sang 8 in 2hours the second night) the KJ:s were fun and sang and faked playing instruments with us beers were somewhat expensive but my fiance and I had a blast looking forward to going again on May 27th

Yelp
Inexpensive cover charge. A great night of fun and dancing with friends. Great place to celebrate.

Yelp
Everything about this place was awesome! The atmosphere was great; everyone was dancing and singing the entire time. All the music being played was good too. The service was great too! From the bartenders to the bathroom attendant! Amazing service! We didn't have food but the drinks were pretty strong!
google avatar

Yelp
Cats Meow got our attention since we heard people singing and playing really good songs; to the point where we were singing along downtown. So next day comes around, we decided to try it out as part of our nightlife experience and enjoyed it!! We lost out voices and stayed for about 3 hours until we called it a night.

Yelp
We came on a Wednesday night around 8:30 PM and there was a $5 cover charge. They have a huge stage in the center with a lot of tv screens around that shows the song lyrics for the singer and audience to see. They have a QR code that takes you to a list of songs but it's very limited. To sign up to sign, you go to the side of the stage where there's someone there writing down your name & song choice to program it in. The MC is also cool, the life of the party, and can sing as well! He will back up the singer if they're getting nervous or go up and dance with him/her. Cat's Meow also does different games in between every couple of songs. I like how they show your name indicating that your next as well so you can prepare. The crowd is also really positive, encouraging, and will sing along with you! Super fun place to hang out for the night :) In terms of drinks, they're pretty expensive. We got Adios MF ($18.18) which is like an AMF and a Desert Island Tea ($18.18) which is like a Long Island. They tasted pretty standard.

Yelp
This place is a super fun shit show if that kind of stuff is up your alley... hahah pun intended since the name is Cats Meow.. you know, alley cat... ok, anyway.. I've been to Fremont street a zillion times and never thought once to check out this center. So many "interesting" little places inside and this was one of them. The really bad singing is what caught my attention but I was really thrown off by the whole TSA experience before entering. The guy at the door said, "well this is Vegas and you never know". I agreed and went on in. 2 for 1 drinks! Ok, sure- but domestics only. Pass, give me a can of Angry Orchard and a can of Mango Cart. "30 dollars". I thought he said 13 but $30 later, I took a seat and watched the ensuing sequence of events- bad (or drunk, or both) singer after singer. What a fun and festive place mostly due to the entertainment staff and participating patrons who encouraged any kind of singing. Just get your drinks first at the Walgreens across the street lol!

Yelp
Very nice place I wish I would've came here after my wedding last year everything you need. Since it's our anniversary we celebrated our last night it's very spacious and good vibes!!!!

Yelp
When you spend a better part of your evening walking up and down Fremont and having a few drinks along the way, you start to lose some of your inhibitions. Well atleast I do. That is when I end up at Cat's Meow. I've been here a few times now with friends, and every time has been a good time. That being said, there is a cover charge and getting a chance to sing your heart out takes awhile because of the popularity of this place. Drinks are not cheap, but then again, this is Vegas. The host/DJs are always entertaining and definitely work the crowd. This is the ultimate place to let loose and people watch as well. Overall, this is a solid spot. I am sure I will be back many more times while visiting Vegas.

Yelp
Definitely worth a visit whenever you're hanging out on Fremont St. Super fun environment with friendly staff. If you love to sing and dance, this is just the place to show off your stuff! They even have multiple screens around for you and the crowd to see the lyrics while cheering you on.

Yelp
Came for a reunion. Employees were super friendly, the music was nice to listen to. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Would love to come back!!!

Yelp
Amazing places! Whole group had so much fun! The karaoke is great, and everyone can have a good time.
google avatar

Omayra O.

Yelp
Went here on a Friday night. The place was empty, but there was karaoke. We waited as long as we could, but after an hour, we gave up. The karaoke DJ was kind of annoying. He let SO much time pass between singers and threw in his own songs constantly. In the end, we just went home, and none of us sang. It was disappointing, but the free popcorn while we waited was nice.
google avatar

Ryne I.

Yelp
Great ambiance! Tasty drinks! We had a group of six and had a great time singing our hearts out.
google avatar

Lola J.

Yelp
Fun karaoke spot. The host made it fun as well. There was an extremely long wait time for someone in my group to perform so just pack your patience and enjoy the other performances. Overall I would visit again, definitely a fun activity.

Yelp
Super fun vibes and great atmosphere. A must see and do on Freemont. 10/10 a must must

Yelp
Birthday week fun. Hello karaoke fun. Bartenders so fun, Shawna you rock!! Neon bright lights and musics I'm not sure they have food, but it's a great vibe so far

Yelp
Looking for a cold drink, divey vibes and a good time?? The Cats Meow is the perfect place. Some friends and I were exploring Downtown Vegas and stumbled across this place. They have Karaoke, a fun crowd and a bathroom attendant.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Love this place so much we ended our night two nights in a row here during our trip! There enough monitors around the location that you can sing along no matter where you are! The service is great even when busy. It also has great views of Fremont Street.
google avatar

Nat V.

Yelp
You ever wonder why they don't serve food anymore?? The health department stopped them because they've had black mold in their ice well for over a year. The kicker? They never even had a food license in the first place. Those fries, chicken, hot dogs, and whatnot you were enjoying..? compeltely unapproved and unregulated. Plus, they're still selling you drinks with that nasty ice. Beware. Place is shady, scummy, grimy. Richard is the worst of them. If they got rid of him it would be a good place again.
google avatar

Yelp

Yelp
Súper cool, chill karaoke bar. They offer free popcorn and then they have a full bar. The servers were all super friendly and quick with making drinks. They also offered me free refills on soda because I do not drink. Fun place to check out!
google avatar

Yelp
Big Purrrr.... Honestly if it wasn't for the super cute, super energetic, pussycat dolls and their insane knowledge of song lyrics this colorful liter box would not be as lively as it is. This place is super hot inside and the open patio is no match for this Vegas heat. I sweat my paws off literally. Respectfully, I don't remember the two host names but one of them has an amazing voice and nailed a Whitney song and the other one working a late shift has an impressive internal jukebox. Sis helped so many singers who couldn't keep up and or was exhausted from the songs. If your in downtown Las Vegas and have some decent pipes give this liter box a sniff!

Kristen W.

Yelp
Such a fucken vibe. Karaoke goes crazy and the drinks are fantastic as well as the customer service. Definitely recommend

Ar B.

Yelp
Don't go! Cover charge to enter (weren't we entertaining here?), and I was charged $27 dollars for a hard seltzer and a whiskey sour. Actually it was just sour mix and no whiskey. Vegas rip off.
google avatar

Leslie F.

Yelp
Had a blast!! Must do on Fremont Street!! Cool atmosphere and great drinks!! ℒℴℯ this place!!

Yelp
Pricey and slow karaoke rotation. Didn't really want Jell-O shots, but they damn near shoved down my throat

Yelp
BEST PLACE FOR OPEN KARAOKE!!! I'm a local so I love looking for spots to be able to chill and dance frequently and The Cat's Meow did that for me! You pay a cover and just request your song at the stage. They give you a QR code to scan and you give them the number. The wait time can be a little long because they do play a song in between the performances so just keep that in mind if you're going to rock the stage! IT DOES GET A BIT HOT, there are no open windows and maybe the A/C was broken. Going again so hopefully this is a problem that will be fixed!
google avatar

Daisy V.

Yelp
First time here and it was so much fun. Ambience was great it was such a good time. Our bartender DJ Corona was great as well. For sure will be back!

Yelp
A purr-fect night on Fremont Street! My brother's and I stopped by the Cat's Meow for some karaoke after attending our friend's wedding.. and wow! What a great way to end the night. After arriving on the second floor, you'll enter into a large gift shop featuring a ton of kitty-cat merch. This is the perfect spot to stock up on unique souvenirs to remember your trip to sin city. Entry is $20, but there's several promoters on the street offering 50% off discount cards. This bar is covered in floor to ceiling cheetah print with pops of neon decor. There's a large stage in the center with a consistent flow of karaoke performers. You're able to pick an approved song and sign up for your three minute slot of rockstar fame. The downside is that you have to wait 1-2 hours for your name/song to be called. I personally love to people watch and the Cat's Meow is prime people-watching material. There's a fun crowd and a good mix of alcohol, which makes for some pretty interesting characters! They have a number of signature drinks, syringe Jell-O shots and a menu with some light bar food. I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken strips and fries! This spot is truly the Cat's Pajamas.

Yelp
Love this place! Must go! Safe space and fun place for lgbtqia and everyone! Strong drinks. Great service very inclusive staff!
google avatar

Presleen E.

Yelp
Omg this place we stumbled upon and I'm glad we did once you see it you think it's a typical karaoke place BUT you will be shocked once you the cover charge there is a whole bar with a big stage and dance floor the atmosphere is fun your dancing and singing to the oldies and goodies the staff are all fun the MC very entertaining and yes you do stand in that stage and sing . This is a must STOP IN PLACE when your in vegas
google avatar

Casey B.

Yelp
Had a blast. Had a few first timers to vegas on the group. Jello shots are the best. We always stop here when we hit freemont.
google avatar

Cathy J.

Yelp
$15 beer + filler music from the MC in between EVERY SINGLE song, when there are HOURS worth of real patrons queued up to sing their song = not a karaoke bar I would go to again, or recommend to anyone. Good crowd, but cannot justify that drain on my wallet and time again... the people want to get drunk and sing! At least make it easy for us to do one of the above!
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Our bartender/waitress Nyssa is amazing. Having drinks and watching karaoke. Will be back and hopefully bring some more locals. DJ seemed to keep the crowd going. See you next time.

Trey L.

Yelp
It took way too long for them to make it through the song list and the people who worked there kept singing in between. The people who went up took karaoke way too seriously. There aren't any talent scouts in the audience. Also, their song choices were not extensive at all.
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
We had a great time & plenty of seating. Bartender with the fake baby (yea, u read correctly) was hilarious! He was kind, fun & let me borrow the baby for fun pics! Music was awesome & atmosphere very clean & welcoming. Main lady running the tunes has a great voice & entertained well w her look & vibes! Why I took 1 star away: drinks weak & had to buy extra shots to kill the sweetness (at full price); karaoke was confusing bc mostly employees sang and guests "sang" with no mic, just lip syncing; ppl played fake instruments I guess to create a band feel. None of us sang (& 4/5 of us are karaoke enthusiasts) bc we didn't know options. Nobody explained. Knowing what I do now, yea, I might go back, but I'd prob go for a more traditional karaoke place. I would recommend going if u know the different concept up front.

Yelp
Everyones so lit and good vibes, the hosts are super funny too!! Also really cute theme and deco!
