Google
Top-notch octopus! And the Steak Blue Salad didn't disappoint either. Great service and reasonable prices for the quality you get. They've got a wide variety of menu items to choose from, so I'll be back to give some of those a try.

Google
Very good. Servers and Staff are very friendly. Food is on par with the price and the burger is like the burger in the ads but real and 5 times as expensive ($20 if my memory serves my correctly). Definitely feels like a fancy restaurant with the cow skull like decorations and the fancy chandeliers. Drinks are good but they still have coke products like a comfort food restaurant. Overall good experience 5 Stars.

Google
I was expecting great food here, but a bit disappointed that the marinated steak is dry, and the peach lemonade has no peach flavor. Though the food is not good as I have hoped for, they are all very fresh. Our waitress Analyse was very friend and sweet.

Loved my birthday dinner here, such a calm environment and the food was fantastic! So flavorful. On top of that I got a free cake for my day! Laura made it even better she was so attentive and nice! Thank you Laura for a great experience!

This was our first time . My husband, and I anniversary was this weekend and we wanted to do something special. been together for 13 years, (high school sweet hearts) we wanted to go out of our way and drive an hour and try something NEW . And let me just tell you it was worth the hour drive including traffic to get here. If you love steak, please try the Wagyu. Or even the fillet .. It’s delicious. Everything from the appetizers (Must try the Octopus or meatballs) to our sides (Brussels sprouts /Mac & cheese ) Cocktails (blue velvet ) .were so Delicious . Our server John was amazing and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu but everyone was super friendly as well! We will be back ! Thank you !

Google
I love a good bolognese and with a side of wagyu meatballs- PERFECT!! My date had the Salmon BLT- the sandwich was extremely generous paired with what he claimed were “the best French fries”. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We went for lunch but can only imagine how intimate and romantic it must be for dinner. The wine list was quite extensive. Kat- thanks for a great experience!

Google
Absolutely delicious as always! Hard to beat this place. Finished it off with an amazing chocolate mouse cake. Yum! If you dine here, ask for Laura. She’s been our server the last 3 visits and she’s outstanding! Wine down Wednesdays (half off bottles) also can’t be beat! Can’t wait until our next visit!

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic dining experience at Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect stage for what turned out to be an unforgettable brunch. Lets start with the food. We ordered the French Onion Soup, which was outstanding, the octopus, cleaned that plate! Then we had 3 entree's: Crab Cake Benedict, which my sister said it was the best one she ever had, Steak and Eggs, everything was cooked perfectly and quite good. I got the Wagyu meatballs, they were awesome!!!! The drink selection is equally impressive. We each ordered cocktails, 2 spicy margaritas and a lavender drink and cucumber drink. They were so good! Maybe, dare I say....too good. Now, lets talk about John. He was an absolute gem! From the moment he greeted us, he made us feel like VIPs. Not only was he attentive and friendly, but he also went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. He checked in regularly, offered insightful suggestions. His enthusiasm was infectious. He made our experience feel personal and memorable, turning a simple brunch into a delightful occasion. If you're looking for a fantastic meal with excellent service, Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar is the place to be. We left with full bellies and big smiles, eager to return. Thank you, John, for making our day so exceptional! We will for sure be back!

Yelp
The two stars are because of the service which really should be one star. I actually felt bad for this place for having such a rude and oblivious server who has no people skills. Because aside from her, this experience would have been great. We went for their happy hour and sat outside. Our server was working both inside and outside; however, neither were busy. She told us she would be with us soon. We had to wait at least 15 minutes before she plopped a menu down and said, "I'll be back" and then interrupted herself saying, "do you know what you want to drink?" She took our drink orders, and someone else brought them out to us. Great Old Fashions on their happy hour. She disappeared again for a long time before coming back to take our order. While we were ordering appetizers off the happy hour menu we paused a few seconds before deciding on the third appetizer and she said, "do you need a few more minutes to decide what you want?" Obviously wanting to abandon us again. We told her to go ahead and put in the order for the first two appetizers, and a little later ordered the third. The first two appetizers came and we waited and waited on the third. She finally came back to check on us and my husband asked if they remembered the third appetizer. She only said yes. No explantation on why it hadn't arrived or offer to check on the status. It finally came. When she brought the check she never made eye contact, never said a word. Simply put down the check and cleared our dishes without a word, a smile or any eye contact. The food here was good. The other servers seemed attentive to their customers. Because of this, we will give it another try and hopefully get a different server.

Yelp
We've been here twice now for happy hour and it's been very, very solid...The specials are pretty much right on point, with the size of them and the cost, I think they're a great value. You're pretty much eating like at a Tapas place...the drink specials are the same, great value for this level of restaurant. We've just sat at the bar but the service has been very good as well. The interior is on the smaller side, but very nicely done. The meatballs...don't get me started...very good. If you come here, do yourself a favor and try the meatballs. The chef specials, both steak, both with chimichurri were excellent as well...

Yelp
We pleasantly enjoyed this restaurant and loved the location at the Halcyon. It had ample seating outside to sit with our dogs. Our drinks were great as we both had 2. Our food was very flavorful though our steaks were slightly over cooked. We still enjoyed it though.

Yelp
Parking There is free parking in the garage and street parking if you are lucky. Restaurant Soon entering the restaurant it was smaller than I expected. However, the restaurant is very tastefully decorated and there is outside seating. Also the health score is a 94. Food I ordered the Cattleshed Wagyu burger medium well. The burger came out on the well side. However, it was a little juicy. The shallots were good on the burger, but overall the burger was under whelming. The Alons bun was dry. The truffle fries were tasty. My spouse ordered the New York strip steak medium well. Again, her steak was well done. The steak did have a nice flavor but was on the dry side. Overall Both meals were underwhelming. Service was decent, nice restaurant, but we probably will not return.

Yelp
Came here for NYE Dinner with a pre-fixed menu! All the food was pretty good (3.5/5) and our server was great (5/5)! I liked the music playlist (5/5) and the light fixtures/decor (5/5). The location was pretty great too since it was at Halcyon even though not a lot of people were out and about there. (5/5) Favorite Dishes for me: Fall salad (Refreshing!), Lobster Tagliolini (Nice lemony finish), and Baked Mac and Cheese (Made with penne instead of macaroni and the crisp topping was great!) Couple of recommendations for the chef: Portion sizes of entree sides were way bigger than the entrees so maybe adjusting the pre-fix menu to be able to maybe share 2 sides instead of each individual getting a side or increasing the portion size of the prosciutto/melon appetizer which I found to be too small. Calamari tasted great but the sauce at the bottom looked more like a part of the plate and needed a side of sauce for the calamari. Cakes were kind of dry. Also interestingly the ketchup for the kid burger ended up being a great sauce for the calamari! I would come back and try this place on a regular night if I was near Halcyon!

Yelp
Cattle Shed at Halycon Way was a nice departure from the traditional steak house. Open and bright in a bustling area. Steaks were pretty on par for a good steak. Nothing mind blowing however worth the time. Sides could have had a little more the fries were underseasoned but this can be solved. Appetizers- Pork Belly- Wow. I almost didn't allow everyone else at the table to get some these were amazing. Octopus- ummm, let me start with I'm not big on Aliens from the sea. Even more so when I am really far from the sea. But others at my table liked these. I just didn't not. In summary, If you in Halcyon and looking for a place try Cattle Shed. Drinks were good. Food was good. Environment was very nice.

Yelp
Came in for Sunday brunch and didn't have a reservation. It wasn't overly busy so we were seated right away. The Hostess also seamed to be our server which is fine just a little odd. She seemed to be serving all tables in the restaurant for the first 30 minutes we were there then another server showed up. Although they were clearly short staffed we never had to really wait for her to come to us and she was very attentive. My only gripe where service was concerned was when I asked questions about the menu and she didn't know the answer, she said "I don't know" and stood there. It's fine if you don't know but find out. She never bothered to find out. That shows lack of interest to learn or to help your customer get the information they need to make a decision. They had the sides open by the bar because it was a nice day, but they need to figure out a way to put up some discreet bug zappers or something to prevent the flies and gnats. I kept having to bat a fly away from my face, food, and drink. As far as the food goes. What I wanted was the Croque Madam but was told they are out of that and are removing that from the menu. So I ordered the chicken salad croissant. It was ok. Nothing really super special about it. The truffle fries were good. The Sangria was great. I want to come back for dinner and try the charcuterie board and a steak and will update my review when that happens.

Yelp
This was my second visit to Cattle Shed and both times it was amazing. However, my visit yesterday was exceptional. We sat at the bar to have drinks and dinner. The bartender/server was great at making suggestions and very personable. This is a perfect date night spot!

Yelp
Their bunch is 2nd to none! The place is beautiful and the outside tables give you a chance to enjoy the weather and people watch. Chef Liv also makes wonderful homemade pasta. Many know she is the winner of Chopt and it is well deserved. You must check this place out!!

Yelp
Honestly, I just was not super impressed with my meal here. The best thing I had the entire time was the mocktail. I tried the arancini with high hopes and had it on my mind for a bit and was very let down. It was extremely bland and did not have very much flavor. Scraping it in the tomato sauce helped a little bit but that was bland as well. I had the crab cake sandwich with fries as my main and that wasn't all that good either. The crab cake was bland and just didn't have a great flavor. I wouldn't get it again. The fries were okay but a little too crispy and peppery which I wasn't expecting and I didn't love. Overall, I wouldn't go back. There are lots of other food options nearby that I would rather check out. Also, it is pricey and I just don't think it is worth the price.

Yelp
Honestly I'm struggling with this review as it could be as low as 1 for some things and as high as 3 1/2 for other things (no 4s or 5s) I can assure you. We were going to be visiting the area from Florida for the weekend and after talking with my sister, who lives in Cumming, she suggested I find a spot in this area as it was south of their home and on our route home. I am all about the atmosphere, the selections to accommodate different dietary needs, a more upscale experience, great adult drink choices, etc. After a lot of research, I decided this was the best spot for the meat loving men and a vegetarian brunch dish for me and a few others who wanted brunch. I made the reservations weeks before. Upon arrival we were quickly seated at a very nice high top table. The hostess quickly brought water and said our server would be with us soon. After at least 10 minutes had passed and we were getting a little antsy for some brunch cocktails, Laura came over and said she would be our server but she was in the middle of helping two tables so it would be a bit. Odd. I asked if someone else get our drink order while we waited for her and she was huffy and said that would be her. Meanwhile I notice the person who is obviously the manager standing around the hostess stand too busy chatting with all the young ladies on staff. I'm thinking to myself, why doesn't your manager or one of those other ladies standing there help you out? It was a very rough and painful start to our brunch to say the least. Finally 20-25 minutes after being seated we received our drinks. RIDICULOUS!! No one should ever wait that long for a drink. Said manager is still just standing near hostess stand chatting it up with the ladies half his age. Bad vibes going on here. Laura did try to recover from what was a bad start and some of which may have not been her fault, but at this point we questioned our decision to come here. Our party of seven had several steak and egg meals, a crab cake Benedict meal, a spicy chicken sandwich meal, French toast, omelet of the day, and a filet minion entree. We had multiple orders of fries. We also had a handful of adult beverages of all kinds. The hands down best thing of the food dishes was the French fries. The second best was the lunch filet mignon, though it's not inexpensive, third place ties were the French toast, the omelet of the day and the spicy chicken sandwich. The steak and eggs was very chewy and a poor quality piece of meat. The crab cakes were fishy. Those two brunch items were not good. Laura continued to try and make up for the tough start and I applaud her for that. She was humorous and nice. The general manger is a joke and quite honestly a waste of money to the owners of this restaurant. Something is amiss with him and several of the young lady staff members. We witnessed a heated discussion with two of them as we were leaving . I think there are better options in this area.

Yelp
This is a really tough one because our meal was literally a rollercoaster. From the menu and look of the place we definitely came in with high hopes and fine dining expectations and that's not really what we got. It's a beautiful concept restaurant and everything from the menu and design of the place seemed well thought out but execution really was all over the place. First of all it was almost empty so busy night or overwhelmed was not a factor or excuse. Service was awful! Our server was nice but she didn't give us any specials, details or info about the menu. We had to ask and she gave us one and then we ordered the pork chop and were told they were out. For this type of restaurant with so many different menus, specials and offerings we were disappointed nothing was highlighted! Unfortunately she also then rang in wrong two items that had to be remade, forgot to ring in three items which messed up the whole timing of the meal. She tried to explain she normally has an assistant and should have written it down but if I were the manager I would have told her to get off her phone or taken over after the second big mistake. I'm sorry especially in fine dining being able to see a server on their phone is a huge no no for me. If the place is empty maybe but with a table yourself and other people in the restaurant it should be a never! The carpaccio was good. Nice cut of meat and good flavor but definitely not close to the best I've had. The clam chowder we expected to be a cup came in a huge bowl and wasn't chowder. Thin, watery definitely a soup and flavor again not a chowder. Now here's where it gets interesting all of the steaks were cooked to perfection!!!! 5 star on cook, cut and flavor profile of all the three steaks we had. Also the salmon was cooked perfectly. Personally I don't like finding bones in my fish which is why I order salmon but other than that it was good but probably wouldn't order again. All of the sides were very good except for the carrots that were underdone. In fine dining you should be able to cut and eat them. They can be crisp but these you could not cut with a knife. The mistakes were fixed. The manager was incredibly nice and apologetic but I don't know that I would return and my husband said he definitely would not. For price even what we had was not memorable.

Yelp
This should have been a five-star review easily. However, a few flaws in the service department cost them a star. Our waitress forgot a few items. To be fair, the manager more than made up for this and the discount and return visit discounts. Short version space - we had an early reservation at 5:30 on a Wednesday evening. We were seated right away as we appeared to be their first table for the night. Our waitress Laney greeted us quickly and was very friendly. I will say she appeared to be new at the position. A few things were missed during the ordering and delivery process of our food for the evening, but the food was awesome. I provide more details down below in the longer version. There is plenty of parking in this area with a full parking deck within walking distance of the restaurant. This area also has a play area for kids to have fun prior to and / or after your meal. This restaurant is located in a very fun community type area where you can visit with friends and family. Everybody was friendly and, in the end, we had a really good meal. We, of course, will return and visit them again. Long version-got a reservation and arrived on time at 5:30 on Wednesday. We're seated right away, and our waitress Laney greeted us quickly and was very friendly. The menu is clearly labeled for gluten and vegetarian options, which was helpful as our guests this evening had gluten and dairy dietary restrictions. We started with drinks while we reviewed our menus. There is quite a lot to choose from, all of which sounded really good. While I did not get pictures of every plate delivered, they were all tasty and hot when they were brought to the table. We started with the Wagyu carpaccio and corn chowder soup, which was the soup of the day. The wagyu was gone in short order as it was very tasty. The corn chowder was not typical corn chowder and arrived at the table late after we asked about it a second time. Apparently, this was forgotten while inputting the order into their system. When it did arrive, it was tasty. However, I will say it is quite large for a cup of soup. For our entrees, the following was ordered center cut filet mignon, wild caught salmon, kids burger times 2, Kansas City strip times 2. For sides broccolini, glazed carrots, sauteed carrots, and potato Au Gratin were ordered. Since I ate one of the Kansas City strips, I ordered mine without the espresso rub and added horseradish creamy sauce on the side. This steak was cooked absolutely perfect, and it was phenomenal. The potatoes Au Gratin was quite large as it is a shareable dish that was very tasty as well. My wife had the center-cut filet, and she also commented that her steak was absolutely perfect. She had the broccolini that arrived late to the table but commented it was cooked and tasted perfect. The food here is obviously top quality, and there is certainly enough food on the plate to fill you up before you leave. As for the issues we ran across this evening, they are as follows: 1) Three of our guests (2 children) had gluten and dairy dietary requirements, and they ordered hamburgers plain, no cheese, no bun, no nothing that arrived with cheese. To the restaurant's credit, they did not just scrape off the cheese. They cooked two new hamburgers and brought them back out. 2) My wife and I ordered the corn chowder soup, which is quite large, by the way. This was not put in as an appetizer upon reminding our waitress she exclaimed that she'll get them right away that she had forgotten to put them in the queue. Luckily, the corn chowder came quick enough to where we had time to eat most of it prior to our meals hitting the table. 3) Lastly, my wife ordered broccolini to go with her order that was not put into the system, so it came far later, midway through her meal. 4) If you are out of something on the menu, it would be good to know this before a decision has been made of what to order. E.g. pork chops on this evening. After my wife decided and ordered it, she was told we are out of pork chops. Big disappointment for her. She had to selct something else while the rest of us ordered. On any given day, parts of a restaurant can fail and miss things in the service process. However, I believe that the manager more than made up for the above errors in the ordering process. Unfortunately, this will cost them one star that should have easily been a five-star rating. For dessert chocolate, flourless tort and chocolate cake that was shared. Both were very rich and tasty.

Yelp
I went for dinner with some colleagues and I have to say, it was pretty underwhelming. For starters I ordered a French 75 and requested Empress gin as my first choice and told the waiter if they did not have Empress I'd take Aviation. While admiring the decor in the restaurant I saw a full bottle of Empress at the bar and was looking forward to my cocktail. The waiter brought my drink and said the bartender made it with Aviation because they didn't have Empress. I told him I could see a full bottle of Empress from my seat and pointed it out and he had it remade. I'm not sure if the bartender honestly didn't see the full bottle of purple colored gin or if he gave me Aviation because it's more expensive but it was pretty offsetting. Moving on to the food..... I started with the grilled octopus. It was overcooked and little tough but was well seasoned. For an entree I ordered the center cut filet (cooked medium), garlic mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts. My steak was prepared medium well and salty, the potatoes were extremely bland but a nice texture and I'm convinced the brussel sprouts were the frozen ones from Publix that were steamed then drizzled some sort of vinaigrette - not good at all. I didn't bother eating the sprouts and the steak and potatoes when paired together worked. It was also a bit of a nuisance that we shared the sides and they never brought small plates. I had to crowd the plate my steak came on with sides.

Yelp
We went for lunch and each got a salad and split a burger. The food was delicious! The service was slow, but we weren't in a hurry. They weren't busy when we arrived but as lunchtime ramped up so did the crowd. We saw a ton of things on the menu we'd like to try for a dinner visit.

Edward L.

Yelp
Offered to take Robin to a doctor appt and then lunch. Had every intention of going to a burger place we saw on Atlanta Eats tv show in Dunwoody NFA but then saw this place was number 1 so came here. Classy wonderful setting in Halcyon village I think it's called. Burger was fantastic and the seasoning in fries was also very tasty and fries were crispy and fresh. Highly suggest and Robin had a crab cake sandwich which she said was really good! What a beautiful day to sit outside!

Yelp
I live around the corner and finally gotten the chance to try either my dad in town visiting. It is a small restaurant but it is really intimate and cute , nice date night for sure. Everyone was very attentive maybe two attentive, other than our waitress checking on us every two seconds there were two other people which they might have been bored because when I went they were too busy. I ordered the oysters and thought they would have came in the shell but they weren't which made them easier to eat only thing missing would be like a lemon that would have made it perfect. The drinks were lack luster mostly ice , ask without ice and you barley have half a drink in your cup. The bread and butter that's only available on request was terrible, one bite and couldn't finish it , it was dry and cold. The lobster and shrimp max and cheese was really good and gooey. It was super hot and took a while before I could eat it but I enjoyed it . The fries amazing! Overall I would say def try it out it's something nice to do right here if you live in the area

Yelp
We went for our anniversary. We sat at the bar and a had a drink before dinner, Lavendar Collins was very good. We shared the Tomahawk steak which may not always be on the menu and it was amazing.

Yelp
I finally had a chance to visit Cattle Shed this week and will definitely be back. It's a great cozy spot for a date night, work shindig, girls night, etc. Our lovely server was brand new to this restaurant, but her years of experience showed for sure. She was great to talk to and provided top notch service. Of course we have to talk about the food. We decided to get the meats & cheeses with the fresh bread and honestly that's top of my list as a choice. Meat and cheese board we tried the Lamb Pastrami, Duck Prosciutto, and Capricola for our meats and cheese we had all except for the blue. The cheeses were superb, and I loved the lamb and capricola. The duck prosciutto was not my favorite. As our dining experience continued we decided we needed to order some of their fries - truffled. AMAZING. Crispy perfect amount of crunch on the outside with that soft potato goodness inside. So tasty. I'd genuinely come here just for the fries at this point. Now if we're eating all this we're of course ending up thirsty. Enter the wine menu! I had a wonderful Riesling while my best friend had a Chardonnay. We will 100% be back soon!

Mike S.

Yelp
This is based on a quick bar visit only and not a sit down meal on 2/24 ~6pm. The Good- the seats were comfortable, the wine glasses were clean and the wine cold. Looked like a cool menu. The Challenges- we walked in to have a quick app and drink at the bar to be told to make it quick because the bar stools were reserved. Then the bartender (darker hair) told us not to worry about it. We got our wine and asked the same bartender to let us know when he gets a chance so we could place an app order. Unfortunately, he never returned, so we paid, got up and left. It seemed like a nice looking place and the food that was coming out looked decent, but we felt unwelcome. You would think at those prices the service would match. We wont return unless it is someone else doing the deciding.

Maddy D.

Yelp
went here for the first time the other day and then quickly returned. it is in a great location, we loved sitting outside on the porch for an evening drink. the service was great and all the staff was very friendly. we got HH apps - meatballs and shrimp cocktail. both were average IMO. drinks were great - i love their margaritas. ambiance inside was a little off IMO, we were seated directly by the door and behind the host hand (making the area busy w traffic) , i would probably sit at the bar or high top tables next time. overall good experience! 4/10

Sho N.

Yelp
My wife and I have been there twice in the last 6 months to get cocktails and apps for a date night. The smoked old fashion with Whistle Pig Rye is amazing as is the charcuterie board. Each time the bartenders have been super friendly and helpful. 2/2 for us.

Tom S.

Yelp
We had dinner last night and the experience was good but not great. It took 20 minutes for our waitress to stop by and explained she had another busy table so we might have to wait longer than expected and we did. In the two hours we were there we saw her twice. The Waldorf salad was awesome and my steak was ok for the price. The Fries were the big hit at the table. We had to find another employee to ask for our check because we had not seen anyone for over 40 minutes, The ambiance was was excellent, very nice place to eat.

Stacy M.

Yelp
We really love cattle shed but this experience wasn't the best. My husband and I were treating my parents to dinner for their 51st wedding anniversary. After our waitress seated us she asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and we said yes. She said Happy Anniversary but I find it odd to ask in the first place if you didn't plan on following up with a special dessert or something on the house?! My husband's and I steaks were not up to par either. Mine in particular was very chewy and tough. My husband also had points for a reward that were unable to be used. Our waitress was unable to redeem them. She also disappeared for an extended period of time which prevented us for ordering more drinking during happy hour. We're just really disappointed because we were talking this restaurant up to my parents and left feeling like we were all let down.

The Porter House, brussel sprouts, and chocolate tart dessert exceeded expectations. I loved how the steak wasn't salty like most steakhouses. The temperature was precisely what we requested. I would love to go back to try the other options and take the rest of my family.

Yelp
The ambiance is warm and appealing when you walk in. Servers are all helpful The duck was a disappointment. It is way toooooooo salty for my taste buds. I checked the menu to see if I missed seeing it in the description, but it wasn't there. So yes, when it arrived, and after cutting into it, I felt I was eating salt. The manager was kind enough to take that off our charge. Overall, we were happy with the service.... the food was ok

Yelp
We've been going to Cattle Shed for multiple times over the last year, this most recent visit was a little disappointing. The quality of the food has gone down, the famous Burger didn't taste as amazing as usual - the bun was definitely different and the fries aren't crispy quality! The service was fine, the ambiance was much more casual than what we are use to. Overall it's a fine place to eat but we likely won't be returning.

Yelp
We visit Cattle Shed several times per month (2-4). Everything on the menu I've tried has been good to great. I highly recommend the Fresh Caught salmon with risotto.

Yelp
Family dinner here on Sunday night, 5 adults and 3 children between 3-9. Parked for free in the garage. We had a 6 PM reservation and our table was nearest the open format kitchen. Luckily I had the seat facing the kitchen so I'm sure they were annoyed that I couldn't stop watching the work. It was fascinating, and really interesting to see how everything operated. We started with a cocktail, I had a Negroni. Ordered a few apps, Wagyu meatballs, oysters, crab stuffed mushrooms, and pork belly. All (I don't eat mushrooms but I hear they were terrific) of the dishes were absolutely destroyed. The kids were eating, youngest was tired so she slept but the dinner went on. A couple wedges were ordered I got a bite of one, it was glorious. That alone would be my reason to come back. Blue cheese heaven. I went with the 30 days aged ribeye, and others at our table went dover sole, filet mignon, and a NY strip. Sides: truffle fries, lobster Mac and cheese. The older kids split a burger, it was a double patty with enough fries for an army! Beautifully presented, everything was delicious, and I know that kitchens can get busy, hectic and crazy but they managed the dinner rush and executed well. Not one disappointed face. We skipped dessert, went home and kids had ice cream and I passed out because I was stuffed and also was out late the night before at the Coldplay show. However, we have had leftovers for two days+ and it's still really freaking tasty. Not a lot of places get to say that. Our server was great, patient, kept everyone topped off, we didn't want for anything. I'm sad because I want to say his name was Kevin and I hope that's right. Crushed it for us. When dealing with a big table it can be a disaster but we all had one last family meal before my brother, his wife, and their three children left for their home Monday. Super memorable.

Yelp
We came for lunch and had a reservation and we're immediately seated. Patio had plenty of room. It's a pretty good patio opening to the greater courtyard but separated. We had streak frites which we thought was the perfect lunch time portion. It was delicious too and same with the fries it came with. We also had cocktails which were good too. Only complaint is they were out of the bread and butter.

Yelp
The service was exceptional. However, the food was mediocre. There were so many flies in the restaurant making dining a challenge with us swatting them away. We ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms and they were soggy and salty. My husband ordered the salmon on a bed of overcooked saffron risotto ($8.00 substitution charge). It also had about a 1/2 of stick of butter on the salmon. That was strange. His broccolini was burnt at the ends. I must also add that my husband ordered a well bourbon neat. And we were charged $17 for Dickel Tennessee Whiskey and a additional $3 charge for it to be made neat. Neat is just pouring the liquor into a glass. Who would have thought that would require an up charge. I ordered a penicillin and while it was medicinal - it was not the classic cocktail I'm used to drinking. I ordered a NY Stripe and the potatoes au gratin. They potatoes were the star of the meal. We got the tiramisu to go and I wish we hadn't. It was not authentic at all. It was a tiramisu cake and super sweet. I am not sure if I would return. I rate on food not decor or service. As I cant leave a restaurant with a belly full of decor and warm welcomes.

Yelp
I'm so incredibly glad this steakhouse is at Halcyon. It's such a wonderful little spot with THE BEST steaks in Alpharetta. The small plates are amazing as well. Expect great service and great food.

Yelp
Our first time here and our last time here. This was such a disappointing experience overall. We had heard from our friend that this place was not good but still wanted to give it a try! And boy was she right. I want to start off with the food. The food was bad. We ordered filet mignon and NY strip for us. For our sides, we got mashed potatoes and asparagus. For the kids, we ordered their pasta of the day. We wanted our steaks medium rare. They came rare. Rare inside! The asparagus ends weren't cut off. Yeah just go ahead and leave the hard, not edible ends on here! The mashed potatoes were dry! I still ate them and the shrimp cocktail since everything else was horrible. And the kids said the pasta was spicy and sure enough it wasn't just a hint, it was spicy! Apparently, the sausage made it spicy. Now let's get to the service. We voiced our concerns to our server. I told her about it and she said she could throw it back on for another 2 min. My husband asked her to confirm if the steak was rare. And she did. Yet she still said they could throw it back on to cook it. We could've just brought it home to heat it up ourselves! I went ahead and just gave my husband my rare (not medium rare) steak! And she didn't even notify us that the pasta was spicy. And she didn't even ask us in the beginning if it was our first time. There was no help on guiding us through this experience. It's a big NO from us.

Yelp
Came for NYE for prefixed menu. I was a little disappointed because they did say they would have a wine pairing and it was written on the menu as well but they ended up not doing the wine pairing. Service was mediocre and food was just ok. Our steak was over cooked. We ordered medium and it was medium well. The sides for the entree were the best. For kids menu, they only had 1 choice which was a beef burger. It was fine for us but there were no options for people who don't eat beef. They said they couldn't just do a pasta even though they had it on the prefixed menu for adults.

Yelp
So, where to begin...Laura greeted us with a warm friendly smile and with great passion she informed us about the offerings of the evening. We enjoyed her wine suggestions, and she was spot on. Super friendly, experienced and knowledgeable... Everything you want in someone taking care of you. Between the pork belly and scallops we could not determine which one was our favorite. Looking forward to coming back and trying new things except our server-Laura,we will see you soon!

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere and location! There's definitely room for improvement. The host was no where to be seen and the GM had to assist. We sat near the kitchen action and overall had a good time. I had good wine suggestions from our server and overall she did great. Disappointed that my filet was medium well/well done vs medium. They did ask to re do but I was already too hungry and the thought of them throwing in the trash didn't sit well with me either. So I added some mash potatoes with each bite and be grateful that I'm able to enjoy life. My husbands ribeye was great and cooked perfectly. They tried to make up for the dry steak with a dessert on them. I really didn't want any dessert but we accepted. Thankfully, it didn't taste good so I ate the fresh strawberries. The ingredients in that cake has lots of chemicals you can taste very prominently. Overall, I would come back here and give it another shot.

Yelp
Food was delicious and service was attentive! Great spot for a semi-formal lunch meeting as it's not too loud and has beautiful surroundings.

Yelp
It was my birthday and I wanted something fancy but yummy and also new. I decided to venture to cattle shed wine and steak bar and it was the best decision! It was a Tuesday and the atmosphere was bustling with musicians and everyone happily walking around enjoying the scene. I decided to dine outside because I still wanted to be a part of that...also another great decision! Sandra our waitress was so nice, so personable, and so knowledgeable about everything! She even showed us pictures of certain dishes when we were confused about deciding on what to order. Give her a raise! Our drinks were tasty... I got the smoky old fashion and my husband decided on his favorite go to... A margarita. I ordered the machinima wagyu filet mignon which was cooked to perfection & literally melted in my mouth. I also topped it with au poivre sauce which is just fancy butter LOL. I also added a side of lobster tail which my only wish is that it was bigger! Hubby ordered the pan roasted scallops which came with the seasonal vegetable of the day which was a puréed parsnip with a side of lobster tail. The taste was phenomenal however I wish I would have ordered a side dish because the portions are small....Next time! All in all I had a great time and I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The ambiance is great. However, the food is below average with prices similar to established steak restaurants. They are not in the big league yet.

Yelp
PICK ANOTHER STEAKHOUSE - This is a review from Mother's Day of this year, May 15th. I waited to post this hoping to hear back from the Chef or Manager after I sent them an email. No response.... For several months we have been eagerly looking forward to trying this restaurant. With the Chef being a "Chopped" Champion, we HAD to go!! Unfortunately, our experience was far below par. I will first tell you that our server was fantastic! The disappointing part was our meal. My wife and son both ordered filets that were seriously undercooked. My wife requested well done and my son ordered medium. Both came out raw. After sending them back to cook further, my son's steak came back out and was still far from medium (still raw inside and we showed the manager). We didn't want to send it back again as this was eroding our dinner experience. I ordered the Wagyu steak sandwich in which the steak was also rare/raw and chewy. On top of this, the au gratin potatoes were very massively undercooked as the potatoes were so hard they needed to be cut with a knife. I will say that my daughter's wagyu burger was amazing! I consider myself a foodie, especially with steaks and this place is now on the "no fly list" for me. There are too many other great places in the area to have a great steak experience. EPIC FAILURE

Yelp
Great food and drinks, love their interior design! Impressed by the quality and professional service

Yelp
I can review the staff, interior, appetizers, and wine list. I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the bar. The bar manager was wonderful and helpful. The wine list was approachable, the ambiance was comfortable. I look forward to having a steak next time.

Yelp
This was our 5th time here. The first few times were great. Tonight was just a terrible experience. My husband's filet came out well done even though he ordered it medium rare. My branzino was practically raw and very mushy. The spinach was so salty it was inedible. Also, our waiter seemed very stressed out and not pleasant whatsoever. Disappointing for over $250.

Yelp
I was celebrating my 21st bday here and i'll start by saying the hosts were so sweet! The place is a nice little place, the vibe was nice. After we get settled our server comes over, he was SO RUDE!!! One of the worst servers i've ever had. He seemed pissed off that he had to serve us and talked to us so rudely. My friend told the server that it was my 21st bday when he asked for my ID for the drinks and he didn't say anything and looked away then asked other people what they wanted for drinks. The guy at the bar overheard and made me a drink and told my happy birthday...THANK U UR THE BEST!! Then after we ordered our food he was grabbing menus and almost smacks one of the girls with the menu because he was so careless. We got our food and the burger was one of the best i've had! We get our bill and I see i was charged $28 for my cocktails and I asked the server why I was charged that much since i made sure to order them before happy hour was closed so they would be $7 like the menu said and he said only select cocktails were $7....why wouldn't the menu say that? me and a couple of people bought several cocktails because it said they would be $7 till a certain time, if i had known they were actual price then i wouldn't have gotten as many as i did and neither would all the other people at my table!!!!

Yelp
Mediocre food for excessive prices. Husband and I got food to go for our anniversary. Homemade pasta was very disappointing. It was like getting hit in the face with lemons and capers. The pasta was also over cooked and over sized. Pretty much a soft pile of lasagna noodles.

Bill B.

Yelp
We sat at the bar, had a couple cocktails and bottle of wine. We ordered the pasta, pork chop and the special mash potatoes. They mistakenly brought fries instead of the mash so we asked them to sub it out. When the bill came both mash and fries were on it so we asked for it to be corrected. The waitress said we'd have to wait for the manager, so 10 min later when Stacy came off her break she informed us that she couldn't remove the fries from our bill because I had eaten one when it was delivered. Seriously? They get the order wrong, we spend $180+ on dinner and she says we have to pay for the fries we didn't order because I ate one? It's a principle thing, but I will never go back. And Stacy screwed her waitress off a nice tip.

Yelp
Phenomenal in every way. From the moment my husband and I walked through the door we were treated as treasured guests. Every aspect of this restaurant has been perfectly curated. Each table feels private and with an interesting view. The entire restaurant is ambient and just lends itself to a special dining experience. We were there to celebrate our five year wedding anniversary and it was a treat to come without our nearly 2-year-old. Sandra, our server, was a highlight. Her expertise and knowledge of the specials, menu and drinks was flawless. Her personable and professional demeanor made us feel right at ease. She helped us to choose some truly incredible menu options and I have no doubt that she is one of the reasons Cattle Shed is as highly rated as it is. What an asset! I have no doubt she will be rising to a managerial position the next time we dine at Cattle Shed, but we will certainly ask for her anyway! This is one of those gems that you would expect to find in a large city, and it makes it even more special that it's close to home and in a private and safe location. The chef is phenomenal and I cannot say enough about the bar manager. The creativity in the handcrafted cocktails alone is worth venturing out to taste! The hostess (I wish I had gotten her name!) was so kind and welcoming and even offered to take my husband and my picture. I appreciate that she passed along my compliments of my cocktail to the bar manager. The entire restaurant just felt like a family and we enjoyed so much being a part of the inner circle for a few hours. Come to celebrate a special occasion or come for a Tuesday. Either way, you won't leave disappointed.

Yelp
Great experience all around. My husband and I have been hesitant on trying cattle shed because of some of the mediocre reviews. I'm not sure how these reviews have happened because our experience was great! We were told on a Friday night there would be a 15-20 min wait so we grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited. While at the bar we were lucky enough to meet a regular patron and introduced to Cattle Sheds Chef Oliva Hurst (yes, I googled after meeting). After we had a drink at the bar our table was ready and we were greeted by our waiter Rich. Rich was super knowledgeable and super helpful in navigating the menu. I will absolutely ask to be seated in his section in the future! Everything we had was fantastic! We started with 2 appetizers: the pork belly and the churrasco satay. Both were great. We split the wagyu filet for our entree and it was grilled to a perfect medium. So glad we tried this restaurant and we will definitely be back again!
