My husband and I recently moved back from Houston and my husband had never been to this establishment. It was about a 45 minute drive for us, but it was worth every minute for him! I am vegetarian so I wasn't going to eat. He ordered the steak and potato and it comes with sides, coleslaw, and beans and bread. When we walked in there was a huge party waiting and I thought we were gonna have to wait, but we were seated right away. We went on a Sunday at 12:30 and the food came pretty quickly. After eating, we toured the property and saw the cattle roping competition going on. We also looked at the petting zoo animals And visited the lake. It was a very nice getaway to experience something new. My only complaint was that the potato had dirt on it and we are those type of people that eat the peel. It probably wouldn't matter to anybody else who doesn't eat it but we asked about it and we offered a replacement. We denied the replacement because we wouldn't be able to eat it, but they nonetheless brought one. I ate a bit of my husband's sides and they generously offered to bring more but what they serve for just him is enough for two people.

Google
The location and the food were absolutely amazing! I ordered the ribeye steak cooked medium, and it was incredibly juicy and tender. The baked potato was perfectly soft, and both the coleslaw and spicy beans were delicious. However, the service could use some improvement since the waitresses seemed annoyed when we asked for additional drinks. Despite that, I would definitely come back soon!!

I was driving from Big Bend NP to El Paso to catch a flight out and saw Cattleman's Steakhouse on Google Maps. It sounded interesting so I stopped there for lunch. The restaurant is big. The decorations in the dining room were interesting and fitting. I got there about 1:30PM on a Saturday and it was good timing. I was seating quickly. When I left there were people waiting in the entrance hall to be seated. There is a lot of parking to match the size of the restaurant. The food was very good. The steak was seasoned and cooked well, as expected from a steakhouse. The all-you-can-eat ranch beans, slaw, and bread was nice but I couldn't even finish the first serving. I was so full I couldn't try any of the desserts. It was nice to be able to see the different cuts of meat and the desserts in the refrigerated case in the hallway.

Google
A prominent steak house situated in the middle of nowhere. The cowboy steak was tender, juicy and expertly cooked to order at medium well. Following lunch, we embarked on the wagon trail ride to a movie set amidst the desert landscape. Their steak price was very reasonable. Our server is very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommended to go here once

Google
Very family friendly place, we went on Sunday, around 6pm not busy at all, no wait. The restaurant is very big and nice. Food is all you can eat beans and coleslaw( sweet delicious), meat I expected to be the best but it was ok. Overall is very nice. Also, they offer tours around the ranch on Sunday every hour, if you dine-in is free but if not you can pay $5/person.

Google
Man was I disappointed!!! After years of hearing the hype of how good this place is, my family finally went for my special birthday dinner. While the service was good, the place feels super out dated and dirty. Food is brought out on a rolling cart with foil on top. The sides are super limited and also out dated. While the picture of my meal looks absolutely awesome, the steak was chewy and had no flavor and my lobster was overcooked. You have to dress your own potato. While they give you all you can eat beans and coleslaw, both were gross and the free bread was hard. Most definitely not worth $300! I can say I went, but I have zero inclination to return.

Google
This is a unique Steakhouse out in the middle of the desert with a lot of history. Service out here is sporadic depending on what service you have. The food overall was good. One of our coworkers lobster was over cooked but the staff credited them for the issue. The steaks are plentiful and good. Jasmine did a great job providing service to us and kept our drinks flowing. Surprisingly we didn't wait at all and was seated right away. There were a lot of people waiting....not sure if they we waiting for special seating or not. Overall good experience and a must visit while in El Paso.

Google
I've eaten at Cattleman's many times and have never been disappointed. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food. The steaks are delicious. I've had the cowboy, the ribeye, the strip, and the filled and all were tender and cooked perfectly. The sides are great.....and save room for dessert. I've always been pleased with the service. The decor inside and the zoo outside just add to the experience.

Yelp
2nd time here. Amazing restaurant/museum/ western style food . Very big portions. Rib eye is excellent. Bbq beans and pineapple coleslaw are very tasty. Our Waitresses were both very awesome. Very busy usually so go early and stay late. Very laid back environment for how big of a restaurant this is.

Yelp
I've never been to a ranch before, but I'm glad my first time was Cattleman's. As our family waited to be seated, we went to the back to see and feed the ranch animals. The ranch has an ostrich, rabbits, goats, horses, sheep, peacocks, and buffalo. We were able to feed the goats and rabbits for a quarter. There's also a lakeside view that is stunning during sunset and you can see the geese on the water/flying as night falls. After an hour of waiting, our party of 14 was seated. The interior of the ranch really made you feel like you were in a cabin in the rural countryside, but a nice and cozy cabin and not a wild west saloon. The waiter had a heavy but jolly Southern accent and took care of us for the night. The food was served in large portions, with ginormous ribs, steaks, and sides. Bread, butter, coleslaw and baked beans are refillable throughout the night so my partner and I opted for a 14 oz ribeye with corn on the cob and beef brisket and ribs with curly fries so we wouldn't get full too fast. The ribeye, which I got medium rare, was well seasoned and super tender. The beef brisket and ribs were also tasty and had a smoky flavor paired with tasty barbecue sauce. The piña colada we ordered, initially a little sweet, was great when paired with the savory food. For the tasty food, large portions, and mini zoo, the experience was worth the money. My only regret was not trying their dessert (darn these big Texas portions!).

Yelp
So this location is classic, used as a movie set and all, ranch with all the animals and all. However the food is very underwhelming, mediocre, and not that good for how pricey it is. I have been here a few times and tried everything on the menu enough to say that i've come to the conclusion the food is not pleasing. The complimentary bread tasted stale, and cold. My father's steak was cold. I asked for a medium burger (pink inside) which was presented well done. Beans were cold, overall family did not enjoy the food. The service is so bad. The waitress we had gotten did not smile at us, and was not friendly. Never asked us if everything was okay I kid you not. This place seems like they hire a bunch of younger kids with no service industry experience, which is very weird because they can't provide a better dining experience. If you're from out of town this is a nice spot but just don't expect anything super fancy, great place to take the kids though!

Yelp
Last time I'll be going here...ever. It's never been a fave but I keep thinking it'll get better. It just always disappoints. I went all out and ordered the Cowboy $59.80, 2# porterhouse, medium rare toward the rare side. It must have started out with a couple inches of fat around it as what was put in front of me on a very seriously chipped plate was not more than No 1.25-1.33 lbs which included a good sized bone. Porterhouse should also include a nice piece of tenderloin/filet which this didn't. The steak was well overcooked for me-closer to medium to medium well and very tough. Major disappointment. For a party of 8, they served the same portion of communal coleslaw and beans as a party of 4 near us received. The kicker was the baked potato add-on bacon bits (about 1 tablespoon) and grated cheese(about 2 tablespoons) served in plastic takeout cups you expect at any fast food place... came with a charge of an additional $4!!! I think the cost of the entre could have absorbed that easily. With an automatic $11.48 gratuity added on along with tax, my check was $79.81. No appetizer, no dessert, no no no drinks (only water). I did address the ridiculous charge for the bacon bits and cheese on my bill with a note but didn't send my food back or ask to speak to a manager as there were people with the group from Europe and it might have been embarrassing for them. Certainly one cannot fault the location in the middle of the desert and the beautiful sunsets. However, the food misses the mark by a mile, their non-existent plating presentation is beyond abysmal & quality/quantity for the price is insulting. Never again! Ever!!

Yelp
WOW! This steakhouse has 2 different type of severs! The drink server was awesome and recommend us very delicious drinks like the Mango paleta (tasted like a mango paradise) and the bloody Maria which was delicious. We first got an order of the jumbo breaded shrimp and I was left speechless with how great it tasted. The shrimp were huge and breaded perfectly. The steak was so good I had flashbacks to when I was a child eating steak on a ranch. I wish I could eat this every weekend. In my opinion my favorite thing was the kettle beans. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
When I found out I was going to El Paso for the first time (for a work trip), it was unanimous from my coworkers that Cattleman's was a must. I'm a big steak guy and knowing that this was a restaurant on an actual ranch intrigued me. I was concerned since it was a bit of a drive but it was well worth it. This restaurant is obviously older with a lot of history, the zoo was a surprise, and the food was fantastic. There's a lot to see when you get there. Once you get seated and your food ordered, you can walk around the restaurant and see the historic memorabilia at the front, the movie memorabilia in the back of all the famous films that were filmed there, or go out on the back deck and check out the beautiful scenery. After dinner, be sure to check all the animals. The steakhouse reminds me of a steakhouse back outside of Nashville. It's old school and the menu even has the same font. Obviously in Texas, you go big and because my favorite food is steak, I went for the biggest, The Cowboy (a 2lb T-Bone) with a baked potato and mushrooms. The coleslaw, beans, and bread were complimentary. The steak was great, cooked to a perfect medium rare with light seasoning. Although it's not the best steak I've had (it needed a bit more salt), it hit the spot of what I was craving and I ate the entire thing. The baked potato came plain and came with butter and sour cream. The mushrooms were interesting... They were sweet but the waitress told me they would be. Very unique twist! The coleslaw also had a unique twist, it had pineapple chunks in it. I think this is a Texas thing because other Texas restaurants I visited had the same thing. Finally the baked beans were interesting as well. It tasted more like chili due to the cumin seasoning added to it. I ate everything you saw in my pictures. It was quite a bit of food and the zoo/ranch was a perfect opportunity to walk it off. There's plenty to see here and it really is an iconic destination. I would definitely return again!

Yelp
Someone recommended this place on our flight and we had to go. When in Tx! The portions were huge. Everything we ordered was just so good. The place is huge. We were seated right away! Our server was great efficient and helpful.

Yelp
I came in with a party of 15 on Thanksgiving day around 1115 AM. We were sat quickly in a room with a beautiful outdoor view. The ribeyes with herb butter were delicious. I was disappointed that they offered no vegetable options. 3 people in our party ordered the Thanksgiving meal which was very disappointing. And 1 person in our party received a very undercooked burger but it was corrected. Purchase of meals also gains you access to the grounds which has a lot to offer. I would recommend and would return.

Yelp
Not for the faint hearted (price-wise) but a must place to visit. There is a definite aura of culture deeply rooted with history, struggle, family, and tradition that is eloquently complemented with years of experience with ranching that is clearly depicted with quality meat cuts, service, and food preparation. They cut/prep in house daily and even offer butcher items on demand to take home

Yelp
Cattlemen's is delicious. Steaks beef ribs and barbecue cubes are hard to beat. The overall experience is part of the cost. There are not many places like cattlemen's and i hope its here forever

Yelp
One of my all time favorites. I took one of my colleagues to this masterful steakhouse. I love the scenery there, reminds me of an old western movie. I suggest the coyote room, but didn't see any of them that night. The service is always outstanding, I had multiple waiting staff regularly checking on us. My ribeye was soft, tender and delicious! My coworkers got ribs and brisket, huge portions! If you're visiting El Paso, it worth the drive out there.

Yelp
Visited El Paso for a wedding, went with a group to Cattleman's. So not worth it. The place is "kitchy". Kind of reminded me of restaurants in Lancaster, PA as far as family type style. Very overpriced. My filet was ok. Buy better ones at Costco and grill myself.

Yelp
I have to apologize for not writing a review on this restaurant. I works have never off known about this place is it weren't for my traveling business associate. This was truly a one of a kind experience. I would highly recommend this place if your travels provide the opportunity. Unfortunately when we were there the patio was closed. It would have been nice to catch the sunset while having dinner. There is quite a bit to see after dinner as well and it is well worth the time to visit! The meal was fantastic! I can honestly say that there is little I could find that I disliked. The meat perfectly cooked to as medium rare, the sides perfectly complemented the meal. It's a must see besides a must place to eat! Highly recommend!

Yelp
A must if you're in El Paso! This place does not disappoint. Big appetite, not a problem, and the service was very good. Had the Wagon Master for my late lunch and it was cooked to perfection with delicious side of mushrooms and jalapeños, paired with a delicious Malbec (Bin 61). Afterwards had to walk it off and took time to see the a variety of animals, from rabbits to long horns. And the ambiance was amazing, having the opportunity to also take a tour on their tractor ride. Highly recommended.

Yelp
If you go to El Paso and don't go to Cattleman's Steakhouse, you've just missed out on one of the best steakhouses in the United States. Their cowgirl steakhouse, cooked to medium rare is perfection. Their beans and corn compliment it well. The pineapple Cole slaw is 5/5. (I must say, the bread isn't great though) My kids enjoyed walking around the farm area, especially the little "bunny ranch". The farm has goats, bunnies, snakes, goats, horses, etc. For the movie fans, they filmed Lone Wolf McQuade, Courage Under Fire, The Border, and many other great movies. The restaurant has hosted actors like Jack Nicholson, Casper Van Dien, Meg Ryan, and many more. The food is incredible, but the place is an experience.

Yelp
So let me start this review by saying that the food was so good that I forgot to take pictures of it! .. As soon as it came out, we ate the food. Leading up to the restaurant, I was still able to rationalize and think about taking the pictures, but as soon as I saw the food, it was gone.

Yelp
Manager on shift at 2:03pm 2/15/25, required me, a person who drove from Odessa Texas to come eat here, to leave the restroom, before I was able to go and come see him before he would seat my husband. Then I had to ask permission if I was allowed to go to the restroom. There was no one waiting to be seated. He was so rude and made me cry. I am handicapped and had to go quickly after the long drive. He said he didn't care. Our family has come here for many years and I am very disappointed in Cattleman's. Short, short, dark skinned boy with glasses. Do better Cattleman's!

Yelp
The steak was well worth the drive out to Fabens. This was my third trip there and finally tackled the 2 pound Cowboy steak. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned just as good. Great service and clean fun environment. Would recommend if you're ever close.

Yelp
You go here more for the vibe than the food to be honest. The decorations are cool and really western. I got the top sirloin and it was cooked perfectly but still a little bit chewy. They have unlimited sides but they were pretty bland. We barely touched those. It's not too expensive though so it's still worth checking out. The service is amazing though. You have a drinks and food waiter which I've never seen before.

Yelp
Another reason to drive out to Cattleman's Steakhouse is their fantastic food! There is not much more than that! Service was good and we will be back soon, hopefully! Recommended. 5/5

Yelp
All right waitress(Shanda I think) was amazing. we stopped in here and weren't expected to be seated right away judging from the packed parking lot. Pleasantly surprised with a nice booth. Our steaks were amazing. I ordered mine with garlic butter. Doc had his with mushroom and onions. The bread was delicious or rather rolls of varying types, but the margarine topping that went with this was probably the only thing I didn't enjoy.

Yelp
I'm from the East Coast and heard that Cattleman's is a must visit when in El Paso. The drive built up the anticipation because it feels like you're driving out to a spot in the desert. You ARE driving in the desert! Beautiful scenery! We went in Fathers Day and we waited 2.5 hours. They had plenty of chairs outside, along with free water in anticipation of the crowd. There was plenty of shade, so it wasn't too bad. When we finally got seated, we we're at the back of the building with a beautiful view of their land. Our server was quick, professional, and helpful at any questions we had. Our table loved the pineapple coleslaw. The shrimp tempura and beef tips appetizer. Both were fabulous!!! My steak was cooked to absolute PERFECTION!!!!!!! Everyone loved their food. The bread is hamburger rolls. That was weird and felt out of place for the quality and vibe of the place. Dessert was equally wonderful. The chocolate cake was large and delightful. Can't wait to visit Texas again to come back here!!

Yelp
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!! My family is from El Paso, and i live in California. This is my highlight every time i visit. The food is amazing, the service has always been great when we go, and i love the vibe of the place. My kids always enjoyed the zoo when they were younger and looked forward to it after our meals. I can't wait for my next visit to eat here again.

Yelp
Very western decor positioned out in the Haven's desert, the steakhouse is all it claims to be. Really good steak, pineapple, coleslaw, baked potatoes, real barbecue baked beans and all the trimmings your heart desires. This is a must try for anyone visiting El Paso. For the experience alone.

I had better , my kid order a cocktail and he was disappointed too he said the sauce didn't taste good . Over all the service was nice the ambiance was ok . Would I come back no I'm good . At least my dad likes the steak maybe this place is good just on steaks .

Yelp
Great place to stop and have a great steak while passing through west Texas or nice road trip from El Paso. Wait staff have always been helpful and plenty to do while you wait for a table. Tours are worthwhile and enjoy the cowboy sculptures inside.

Yelp
Ribeye is good, but beware of extra charges. I heard that this is an institution, a must try when in the area, and one of the best steaks in Texas so we skipped catching the sunset at White Sands to drive 2 hours to have dinner here. We got the 10oz ribeye and the cowgirl, both medium rare, and added herbed butter. My husband chose baked potato for his included side, and the server asked if he wanted cheese and bacon with it so he said yes. I got rice for my included side. I liked the baked potato but we barely touched the cheese. I didn't care for the rice and wished I got corn in the cob. Also the meats came on small plates so when I was cutting my porterhouse t-bone steak, my rice fell off the plate. Both plates came with a piece of uncooked carrot as garnish. I enjoyed the ribeye more because it was juicier. The cowgirl didn't seem medium rare. I asked the server if it's supposed to be dry compared to the ribeye and she said yes. I did like the meat closer to the bone which was more tender. Beans, pineapple coleslaw, bread and butter are included and come with free refills, but it's a lot of food so we didn't finish those. I couldn't even finish my steak and took the rest to go. I don't normally like coleslaw but it's good with pineapple! Beans were good too. Bread were dinner rolls. For the herbed butter the server asked if we wanted it melted so we said yes; it just tasted salty, but melted butter helped with my dry porterhouse. When it came time to pay, my husband noticed they charged $2.50 for grated cheese and $1.50 for bacon bits (seemed like packaged bacon bits) which seemed scammy since the server didn't mention they're extra when she asked if he wanted them on our baked potato. I asked her to remove the bacon bits since the menu has no mention of bacon bits. Grated cheese was listed on the menu as a side dish. She came back with an adjusted bill and i noticed we were charged for a 14oz ribeye instead of 10oz. I remembered the server repeated 10oz when we ordered so I mentioned it to her. The server took a while, came back and told us that she put down $6 cash to cover the difference for the ribeye because it was her mistake; she couldn't change the charge because it would affect their inventory when we were served the 14oz. I've never encountered this before so we gave her an extra $6 in our tip. Also maybe because we arrived Friday night close to closing, they sat us in the dining area without AC and the fans were turned off so it was hot. There were still people in other rooms that felt cooler. The grounds were beautiful and we got to see the snakes and goats in the zoo.

Yelp
Cattleman's is more than a restaurant, it is a dining experience! It is clear when you turn into the gate that there is a lot more to this place than just a steakhouse. On our way in there is a lake with tee-pees and large animal sculptures galore. We met our party outside, where we were met by Jack, a rescue dog and a beautiful horse to pet (be careful, he'll nip at you). There are wild animals, movie history there and so much more to enjoy and take in. This place can be quite busy, so plan your visit! We arrived at 5:00p on Friday and were taken right in, but they became much busier shortly thereafter. Our severs were there in a flash to take our appetizer and drink order. I thought their smoked sausage was really pretty good. Our orders were taken promptly thereafter. They are a steakhouse that mostly features steak. There are other selections, but they are somewhat limited. You can add shrimp to your steak if in the mood, but the menu says it's garlic shrimp. They do offer tempura shrimp. Hmmm, I wonder... Yes, they did let me have the steak with the tempura shrimp rather than garlic! Thank you! I had the New York steak medium rare and my wife had the ribeye. You can't go wrong with that one! Cattleman's offers unlimited Ranch-style beans and pineapple coleslaw. We also ordered a couple of baked potatoes and corn on the cob as a side. Everything was de-lish! We come here periodically when we have something special to celebrate or just for a special evening out. Cattleman's is THE PLACE for a great night out. It is always a good experience for us!

Yelp
Right off the bat, let's just say the ambiance is a star by itself. I'm a lone traveler and it was nice being seated by a window with a beautiful view and I got to watch, ducks, quail and pheasants. The restaurant is beautiful and so is the drive way. That experience by itself is probably two stars! TBH, my steak was overcooked! The seasoning was perfect! I want to go back and maybe ask for a medium rare because I asked for a medium and received close to well done. To reiterate, the steak was seasoned perfect! I had high hopes. I felt let down, but with the taste and the cap I will give it another try. The sides were eh. The fries were cooked perfectly, the beans were good, I like pineapple but I don't care for it in slaw or pizzas. The bread was probably the worst I've had a steak house period. With the caliber and reputation such as this establishment, I expected rolls cooked that same day. The rolls were hard, dry and stale. Butter couldn't help it. I just put it down and did not want to waste stomach space. Service was excellent also. Had a great waiter named James. I do want to give this another try. Everyone deserves a second chance, no one bats perfect.

Yelp
If someone were to look up "legendary steakhouse" in the dictionary, Cattleman's Steakhouse would be in there all alone. A steakhouse so epic that when one mentions "El Paso," the reply will be "have you been to Cattleman's yet?" Work brings me out to Cattleman's every so often, and I have ate many steaks from here. I never ever ever ever ever have had a bad steak from here. Seeing how the restaurant is on the grounds of a working ranch, the steak does not have to travel far. Not to mention there have been movies filmed here as well, adding a little more charm to this place. I have had most all of the different steak cuts, and the ribeye is definitely my favorite. What I love about this place is how while you pay good money for a steak, you get ranch style beans, pineapple coleslaw, and choice of baked potato or corn on the cob. Usually at more fancy steakhouses, these sides cost extra. Not here. The ranch style beans are to die for and they make you want to slap your momma! (Sorry mom). I am not a fan of coleslaw in any form, but people who like coleslaw love the pineapple twist they put on it. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you ever pass through, please, stop. You absolutely will not be disappointed. Great food, great service, and the environment make this steakhouse the crown jewel of Texas. You will thank me later. Enjoy!

Yelp
Amazing and a must try when you're in El Paso. They have an amazing selection of cuts for whatever it is you're interested in. This is a huge place that includes ample seating and also has a zoo onsite that you can visit before or after your dine eating. There tends to be somewhat of a wait so be prepared for that. The staff were all great and very accommodating the food was excellent. Taste was definitely on point! The portions were HUGE as you can see by the half rack of the ribs they were literally like 2 feet long lol. Anyway if you're in the city and love a good steakhouse, you have to give this place a shot. We visited from Houston and I'll definitely be returning the next time im in El Paso!

Yelp
What can be said that hasn't been said in countless other reviews? This place knows how to cook a F@&$ing steak! My family made the trip from the west coast to El Paso to celebrate my grandfathers 95th birthday. And in honor of my mom (miss you every day mom) we took grandpa to her favorite restaurant, Cattleman's, for dinner. And it didn't disappoint! Amazing porterhouse. Everyone enjoyed every succulent bite of perfectly charred meat. I ate my steak at the correct temperature, about 130 degrees. Others in my party enjoyed their ruined (medium well) steaks just as much. So you may be asking why the 4 star review? The shrimp cocktail tasted a bit rubbery and less than fresh. That's gonna be a pass next time. They also nickel and dime the charges. Extra charge for baked potato toppings, extra charge for horseradish, extra charge after extra charge. And these extra charges aren't shown on the menu. And would it kill someone for adult size drink glasses? The lemonade is served in cups that are barely larger than shot glasses! Aside from these petty complaints, it was definitely an epic meal. Next time I'm in El Paso, you'll find me at Cattleman's Steakhouse.

Yelp
This place is massive. I love that you can walk around the site. Absolutely gorgeous. I would like to recommend a map that they give out to their guests so they don't miss anything. We got there at 5 to try and avoid the wait time. Ozzie was our server and he was great. He checked in on us consistent and made sure we had everything. The food was amazing. The appetizers were just right and the lobster and steak was on point.

Yelp
Overall, the experience of eating at this restaurant was more of the reason I went. There is history in the location with a good amount to see during the day if you get there early enough. The staff was very friendly and courteous and the restaurant is very spacious. The dinnerware, tables, and overall decore is as if you were living in a different time, which adds to the experience. In terms of the quality of the food, the steak was good, but the bread rolls, coke slaw, beans, and potato was ok. That is the reason I gave it 4 of 5 stars. I think overall, if you are in the area and want to walk around the area, show up a few hours before it gets dark.

Yelp
The Cowboy and the Cowgirl are at the top of the list if you have a great appetite. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
Service is exceptional! We loved our meal except the lobster. It was very dry so I would not get again but the steaks were the best we have had. We will be going back for my husband's and I anniversary. I can't wait!!

Yelp
I live in Los Angeles arguably one of the food meccas of the world. I was in El Paso in December 23, and had to visit this place. This is nitty gritty Texas beef slabbing deliciousness. Servers were on top of it checking in but not being pushy about spending time. Definitely Arrive early and know what you're going to order ahead of time. My only regret was not bringing home a slab of ribs. My one critique would be to have skipped the fries with my steak. Lastly shout out to the bartender who knew I was bougie from my cocktail request , a Manhattan with templeton rye, saved the day by recommending angels envy rye - wow! That was the best cocktail I have had from a steakhouse in a hot minute.

Yelp
I have heard stories about how legendary the food at Cattleman's Steakhouse is. So when I was in El Paso for a business trip and my very kind hosts suggested it for dinner, I was extremely grateful and excited. It's a trek from El Paso. Upon arriving, the establishment has a very "country" and "old time" feel to it. I felt it was super charming and it only made me more eager to see the menu. The menu was a classic steakhouse menu. Basically, consider what cut one likes, and how hungry one is. Makes the order process a lot easier. Being torn between a filet or New York strip, I opted for the T-bone. While the 32oz sounded great, I opted to be more modest and selected the 24oz, ordered medium rare. When the food arrived, it was absolutely perfect. The steak had the perfect sear on the outside with a nice pink and warm red inside. This was heaven.

Yelp
This place is off a beaten path and you might wonder if you're heading to your death or a far away place like in Dusk Til Dawn... Seriously you're in the middle of nowhere and then you get to this gated, old Mexican Spanish Style Ranch....and then you pull into the parking lot and release sigh relief...the parking lot is jammed packed! The entrance has its own museum and an animal zoo! This place is humongous and the food is delicious with beautiful views. The portions are a great size and the staff is super friendly. A great place to stop in, if your driving cross country ad we were or if you live close by and looking to do something fun and special. Probably not a first date because it seriously is creepy the first time. And make sure you have lots of gas in your tank.

Yelp
Great food, atmosphere is welcoming with memorable movie scenes and the animals were darling. Service was top notch and quick!

Yelp
We came all the way from Las Vegas, being El Paso natives, we always stop at Cattleman's for dinner. The wait was about 2 hours which was expected as it was Father's Day. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Unfortunately we didn't get to visit the animals, but will definitely stay longer next time.

Yelp
Beautiful place. Very good food, but it did not really live up to the hype. The steak was good, but again it did live up to the expectation.

Yelp
Back at Cattleman's after 4 years. Last time I was here the steak was horribly disappointing which honestly is shocking. But...not this time. The steak was cooked perfectly and absolutely no one makes the coleslaw the way they do. Absolutely did not disappoint at all. But my only complaint would be the drinks I ordered. An outstanding steakhouse has to have a great bar service. And this is where they get 3 stars. Any good bar should be able to make a great Old-fashioned. What a mess. The glass was full to the top with regular ice cubes, not a sphere or block of ice. A maraschino mashed cherry was dropped in. And the innards of an orange wedge was floating inside the drink. And way too much simple syrup. I could've stepped in there and got it right. Maybe next time.

Yelp
The food was delicious. If you get what you pay for this place truly delivers. You're not coming here for a cheap, quick meal. You come to cattleman's to get a top quality steak. The type of meat that melts in your mouth. Their ribeye is perfectly marbled, their filet mignon is deliciously smooth. The shrimp are cooked to pop in your mouth. The beans were not ranchero beans like they used to be, instead they serve more of a chili bean with a tad too much brown sugar for our table's taste. To be honest, we didn't have much room for beans after such a filling entree. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert but I'm not against going back just for dessert. After a big move from AK to TX this meal was just what was in order. If all that isn't enough, after wobbling away from the table we made our way down to the properties man made lake and watched the geese a bit. Up the slight hill to watch goats, deer, buffalo and longhorn. Our family laughed uncontrollably as we all got lost in the maze and every kid, from the kid's grandma to my youngest son played on the giant wooden playground. Cattleman's is the perfect escape form every day life. We can't wait to go back.

Yelp
As an East Coaster who has spent a considerable amount of time and money looking for excellent steak, Cattleman's was genuinely one of the best steakhouses I have ever been to. First, my wife and I arrived without a reservation on a Friday evening and we were immediately seated. Second, the ambiance of the restaurant was one of a kind. It was my first time in the West, and being surrounded by Western movie set items and paraphernalia was highly entertaining before I even got my food. The food? My goodness. My wife had the Cowboy steak and I got the Steak and Shrimp combo with a New York Strip. We had an inkling that we shouldn't order an appetizer or too much food for the two of us, and we were right. Your entree will come with its side and then unlimited bread, delicious pineapple cole slaw, and beans. It was an incredible amount of food for the price and the quality. We decided to save just a smidge of room for dessert and got the pecan pie a la mode. We were stuffed, but we scraped every bit of that off the plate. Everything was high quality. The steak was cooked to perfection. The only thing I will say is that for the Steak and Shrimp combo, I expected the shrimp to be grilled. They were poached instead, and I might as well have just gone without them for more space on my plate. Thank you, Cattleman's! I'll be back!

Yelp
IMO, it would take a stingy heart, nitpicky expectations or a very exceptional bad experience to leave Cattleman's anything but a five-star review. This place is an experience. Allow yourself at least 3 hours to enjoy the grounds, the main building and a leisurely meal. If coming at a peak time or with a large group, a bit longer. Multiple dining rooms furnished beautifully, each a bit different. If you're dining solo, ask for a two-top near the bird enclosure, and they will provide you with a fair bit of a free show during your meal. Well-cared for Llamas, longhorns, sheep, goats, deer, bunnies, buffalos, peacocks, an ostrich and more. Outdoor play area for kids (not attached to restaurant; adult supervision required.) Excellent food and pro service. My ribeye, ranch beans and loaded baked potato were all cooked to perfection. Consider the kielbasa appetizer to share for 2-4 people - it won't kill your appetite. It's a lighter and more finely ground preparation of it, unlike some fatty/greasy/coarsest-ground preparations you may have had elsewhere.

Yelp
My family has been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember. We ordered two cowboys and ribs and it was more than enough food to share. Everything was cooked to perfection. The sides were delicious and we got many servings of coke slaw and beans. We ordered a side of mushrooms which were only okay. We also ordered jalapeños which were delicious and spicy! This place is truly a Texan establishment. Love coming here! I also love that you can walk around the establishment after your meal and look at all the animals!!
