CAUCE de los Fuegos

"It’s not easy to be successful in Puerto Madero, so to succeed with a premium steakhouse in a district home to myriad other restaurants specialising in meat is no mean feat! In this modern eatery with a hint of industrial decor that reminds guests of its location in a restored port area (note the iron columns in the dining room and the huge old terrace visible from the terrace), the traditionally inspired à la carte includes an impressive choice of starters, salads, fish such as Patagonian trout, and pasta dishes including Mediterranean-style linguine with prawns, although it also features a particularly varied list of grilled and roast meats. Make sure you choose some of the empanadas (pork loin, pacú fish and lamb), the roasted “Emperador Cauce” short ribs (cooked for 14 hours) and the delicious Shorthorn ribeye from pasture-fed cattle reared at liberty on the restaurant’s Ayacucho estate." - Michelin Inspector

This was a great restaurant. Very fairly priced for US. Got a 16 oz ribeye (250g) with mashed potatoes and total around $45. It's a great deal for US for such a beautiful steakhouse restaurant. Definitely recommend coming here for a delicious steak and a wonderful environment

For a truly magnificent experience and food quality to match, Cauce is well worth a visit. Served by Carla and Lucca (hope I got this correct) they made the experience exceptional from the first moment. Presentation is important but the quality of the steaks were exceptional.

A restaurant that has already earned a Michelin star – and it is more than deserved! The food is outstanding, with every dish being a true masterpiece of flavors. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, and the ambiance is charming and pleasant. The location is great, but what truly stands out is the top-tier quality of both the food and service. We loved it so much that we dined here three nights in a row! Highly recommended for all food lovers.

It's a steakhouse. They should know how to cook a ribeye medium rare. I got overcooked shoe leather. The salad and sides were very good.

As a solo traveling and would like to try Argentinian beef, their Asado emperor is perfectly cooked, juicy as it is. Have draft beer, and plenty of alcohol selection.

Nathalia served us today, she was very attentive, polite and friendly. Food was amazing and loved the atmosphere. Attention to detail is excellent. Celebrating 60th birthday for my husband and sister.

We had a great dinner at Cauce. The rib-eye was large and cooked really well. Our server Natalia was really friendly and engaged us in conversation making sure everything was perfect with the meal. The atmosphere was lovely and the price was reasonable for this part of town, the quality of food and service.

Disclaimer: This is the first restaurant I tried in Buenos Aires, so my rating may be influenced by my expectations rather than local restaurant standards. The restaurant is conveniently located across from where I was staying, the Hilton, and I decided to try it for lunch. I asked for a robust local red wine recommendation and was served Gran ENEMIGO, which was exceptional—a true taste of Argentina! For food, we ordered the grilled vegetable salad and the rib-eye steak. Unfortunately, the steak was served cold, which was a bit disappointing, though the quality of the meat itself seemed good. Overall, a mixed experience—great wine but room for improvement with the food.
