Google
It was ok. The shredded lamb was pretty good and it seemed like the bowl overall would be pretty flavorful, but it was just ok. The yogurt sauce was better than garlic.

Google
So this was a chance in trying to find food fast. I’ve never had cava before being from the Mediterranean I wanted to see how close this was. I am actually severely disappointed. I had asked for a Greek salad with lamb instead of chicken. The lamb was braised and it was soaked in a sauce that looked horrible part of the salad or cucumbers which the bin was empty and all I got was a half a cucumber slice and a whole lot of Cucumber juice. Not recommended at all.

Google
Best costumed bowl that I've ever had. The crunchy tortilla was really good and the freshness of the vegetables also the best

Google
Had an amazing experience this afternoon! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always with a warm smile. The food was absolutely delicious. You can tell they really care about making guests feel welcome. A big thank you to the afternoon team for making our visit so special. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends.

Sanchit V.

Google
For online order of full bowl they literally gave half bowl. Staff was not polite. Had a bad experience. I used to like CAVA a lot but maybe not anymore.

Alex D.

Google
Best summary is a Mediterranean Chipotle. We got the garlic chicken pita and the harissa avocado bowl. The wrap is a straight up chicken wrap, but the pita was actually very tasty. The harissa was pretty spicy but if you mixed it up the hummus and feta cuts the heat down.

Google
Great food and a clean restaurant. The consistent downside I get from this restaurant is that the employees don’t get your order entirely correct. And it happens fast too - I literally ordered an item in front of me to be put on my food - the employee then takes my order right from the start and plops the completely wrong item on the menu. It honestly happened so fast, I didn’t register that just happened to me. I also ordered basmati rice and got white… and the attitude of the employees doesn’t make me want to mention the mistake. Ill be fine - the food tastes alright anyways - but not getting the correct order when you’re literally telling the employee what to make is incredibly frustrating .

Google
Frequent Cava customers at several locations. This is probably the worse in the area. The e quality of freshness is extremely poor. Chicken is burnt or dry pita chips are stale more often than not. Portion sizes smaller than other locations also lack of customer service makes place feel unwelcoming and discriminatory

Yelp
We occasionally get take out from here and food is delicious and well prepared each time! You also can't beat the value for your money.
google avatar

Linnea E.

Yelp
I tried one of their salads which was pretty good but it had wayyyy too much dressing - there was easily a half inch of liquid at the bottom of the bowl, so much so I had to pour it out. If I go again, I'll ask for the dressing on the side.

Yelp
Amazing assortment of delicious food. You select what items to put in a bowl.... The price was very low. And it is plenty... probably enough for a whole day. Updat: I went again, today. Price was twice as expensive. OK, but not inexpensive today.

Yelp
This Cava typically does an outstanding job with our company's large group order! Pros: Efficient Service: Smooth ordering process and very accommodating staff. Quality Food: Fresh, delicious, and well-packaged meals that everyone enjoyed. Great Variety: Plenty of options to cater to different dietary preferences. Cons: Pricing: A bit on the higher side, but worth it for the quality and service. Overall, CAVA is a fantastic choice for large group orders. Highly recommended for corporate events or gatherings! Food: It can sometimes be a bit oily, I think that may be a global CAVA issue but something I think they can do a bit better on.

Yelp
Do NOT go here if you have food allergies. I am a celiac, and assumed a national chain like this would have allergens clearly marked or available. I asked what dishes were gluten free, and the woman behind the counter first could not tell me, then tried to tell me that the pita bread was gluten free (it's definitely not). I asked just to see the nutritional facts myself as it was clear she had no idea, but she said they didn't have them. The whole time she seemed to think this was a joke. Food allergies are serious - people can die or get ill if they are treated like a joke. Staff need to be better trained, or nutritional information should at least be available to customers. I will not be returning to CAVA.

Yelp
My friends and I grabbed a casual dinner at Cava this Friday evening and enjoyed our food. As we got there, there was an employee slicing up chicken so I knew the food was going to be fresh. The lady who scooped my food was pretty stingy on the portions and she seemed pretty annoyed/upset. Not the most pleasant when we asked for pita on the side. Again, good food, but this location's service was not great.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good food. I have trouble getting my loyalty points, but I really enjoyed the food. Greek salad is cheap and healthy!
google avatar

Ornella S.

Yelp
If you looking for a spot for Mediterranean food, this is it. Came here for a post-workout meal and ordered the Greek chicken salad and it was good. I washed down my meal with a bowl of Pineapple apple mint juice. I like the Cucumber juice. I'm a fan!

Yelp
You can't go wrong with this place!...It's fast, healthy, quality ingredients and most of all...delicious!! I travel quite a bit back and forth from my office in the Arlington VA area to my office in DC for work; and often times in need of "healthy" fast food options while on a limited time window for lunch. CAVA has slowly become one of those places that fits the bill. It's fast food, on the healthy-casual tip. The meals are definitely filling and the portions are more than enough for two to almost share in my opinion.....but, trust, there's no complaints there by me or my inner-fat kid belly! I have been to several CAVA locations around the city and they all are good....and the consistency is there. They have a pretty focused menu where you choose greens or rice bowl...or both! You work you way down the down selecting ingredients for your meal and over 13+ toppings. Lentils, Eggplant + Roasted Red Pepper, Harissa, Organic Roasted Garlic Hummus, Olives, Tomatoes, Cucumbers....Meats: Grilled Chicken, Spicy Lamb Meatballs, Roasted Vegetables Vegetarian options. Think of a Mediterranean version of Chipolte. I typically get the the Splendid Greens & Rice Bowl with a mix of lentils, hummus-harissa dips, couscous, plethora of veggies...all with the Spicy Lamb Meatballs!....It is nothing but the truth!! A healthy gospel of goodness in a bowl. I opt for the grilled chicken at times with this combination, to change things up every now and then. In all, it is an excellent and tasty meal at a great value --considering its the healthy way to go. I will admit thought that it is a bit pricey when it comes to looking for a economical, cheap lunch options....but for the portion size and healthy option aspect...it is worth it. The food at CAVA is very fresh made of high quality ingredients. The sauces and dressings add seasonings and really good flavor. There are vegetarian options too. The prices is very reasonable for the large portions. The service is friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I went here last night for the second time with my bf. We ordered a crispy falafel, and included all the toppings that come with it and all the others that are available. We also had the garlic sauce and skhug as provided. It's nice that you can customize with toppings and sauces, and the falafel have been great every time. I would order this again. Quick service and very friendly

Yelp
I just picked up a "Too Good to Go" meal and I will never return to Cava, for a full-priced meal or TGTG. The corporate website makes it look like it's all about slow food and heart and community, but the jokers working the past few nights have been surly. Making a face as soon as I mention TGTG and no "goodbye" when I left. They did not even ask me to swipe or make sure that I swipe. They literally walked away. I'm shocked that this is allowed to happen. I also agree with others that they are stingy with what they give to customers. The man who served me refused to give me any sauce -- "no sauce for Too Good to Go" -- and they gave me the spiciest meat, which would have been great with some sauce. The whole idea about Too Good to Go is it's leftovers at the end of the day -- so why be stingy? The idea of Cava is great and it can be tasty but to be so rude to me as a customer, on top of leaving out essential ingredients, is not worth it. I live here, and there are so many other choices in the neighborhood. Still trying to wrap my mind around how this place can operate like this -- getting neighborhood folks on your side as a restaurant is the first step to success. Cava's rating on Too Good to Go is also very low, which is telling. I'm also reaching out to corporate. This place SUCKS

Yelp
Great customer service! The food was fresh and the ambiance was superb! I will recommend this place for anyone traveling around.
google avatar

Marcia C.

Yelp
Amazing, fresh, and hits the spot every time. I would definitely recommend to go inside and order inside of doing a mobile order other than that very flavorful.
google avatar

Tracy A.

Yelp
My weekly go-to for a great build-your-own salad bowl. Roasted veggies, chicken and mixed greens/avocado make a filling and delicious bowl. Add their fantastic roasted eggplant dressing! Not cheap but you get what you pay for. The quality is Calorie splurge: salted chocolate chip cookie
google avatar

Paige K.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Cava forever and overall, I was a little disappointed. The ingredient choices were good but nothing was super impressive. I liked the roasted veggies but you had to pay extra to get that and a protein and she skimped me on my chicken. I also wasn't super impressed with the sauces but ended up using mostly the sriracha Greek yogurt. I was most disappointed by the pita. A Mediterranean place should have their pita down and there's was hard and pretty flavorless. Overall, I wouldn't be opposed to coming here... But I would definitely opt for chipotle or try one of the other Mediterranean places like Roti.

Yelp
A build your own bowl style restaurant with an emphasis on healthy options and an earthy, farm-to-table feel. I came in with a group of buddies near closing time after a long gym session, and needless to say, we were HUNGRY. Overall, the employees were more than patient with our rowdy group, and were even willing to offer some of their own suggestions for good combinations. I've tried their branch in the Reagan Airport before, and was left less than thrilled about the quality of some of their foods, but was pleasantly surprised by this branch's quality. Its frequently packed for weekday lunch, being one of the few restaurants around rosslyn. There was a decent selection of seating inside, with even more outside on the nearby central place plaza. I wouldn't go out of my way to get Cava just yet, seeing as how the cheaper option Chipotle is just across the street, but maybe a few more tries will be enough to convince me to change my mind.

Yelp
Me and a close colleague decided to make it an early lunch today, and we headed on over here. When we arrived at around 11:30am apparently we were the first guests inside, because there was nobody else here. That being said, we were seated right away. I ordered one of my all-time favorites called the chicken souvlaki sandwich which includes french fries. My friend got the cava gyro, which sounded even better! My sandwich was basically a grilled chicken tzatziki, onions, and tomatoes wrapped inside of a pita. My friend's sandwich was your typical gyro but he decided to hold off on the onions. We hung out, chatted a bit,and played with our phones while our order was being prepared. It was ready in no time at all, and soon enough we were nearly half-way finished when I received a text reminder of an all hands meeting that we both needed to go to. It was a nice lunch!
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
Very good, I would describe as American-Greek food. They have a very nice outdoor patio. We liked all of the dishes we ordered, especially the grilled octopus. It seemed like a place that would be enjoyed by a wide range of pallets. We went as a date night, but it's a place I feel like I would bring my mom or my aunt or family back to, and and everyone would be able to find something they really enjoyed on the menu.
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
I enjoyed this healthy Mediterranean fast food restaurant while on a solo trip to DC. The food had subtle Mexican and, perhaps, Italian flavors. The bowl was huge which made it last a little longer. I am planning to take my family to a Cava location nearby when I am back in California.

Luca L.

Yelp
Big Props to Milton who works at Cava Rosslyn. Everytime I come here he brings a lot of positive energy and is very patient, kind and helpful. As a cava customer 365 days a here, I am really happy Milton is around
google avatar

Brady B.

Yelp
Ate here for lunch and it is my new go-to lunch eatery in Rosslyn. It is the Mediterranean food version of Chipotle. Line for lunch will probably be long, but trust me, it moves quickly. Pro tip: you can order ahead online and pick up to skip the line. I did a grain bowl with saffron rice (mmmm!) along with a variety of dips, toppings, and falafel for the protein. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just the right temperature.

Yelp
I'm so glad they built a cava closer to my house. For a while I had to go to the cava at Ballston. I love cava anywhere I go. I've honestly never had a bad experience at anyone. The only problem in my eyes with this location is that it's kind of small especially for a lunch time crowd. There was a few time I came here to bring my mom some lunch while she was at work the line was wrapped around the store and it was hard to enter and exit. Overall it's nothing detrimental. Cava is consider a fast casual Mediterranean restaurant. It's similar to chipotle in which you're able to chose a base, protein and toppings. My favorite order is half brown rice and super greens mix, half chicken + spicy meatballs or recently the seasonal veggies. For the dips I just stick with hummus and tzatiki (you can't go wrong with these two especially if you're new to this place). For the toppings I usually go for cucumber, tomatoes, pickled onions and feta. Honestly you really can't go wrong with this place. It caters to most dietary needs like veggies or if you're trying to do low carb. I'm not quiet sure for vegans. You just have to check the ingredients list which is on their website. I love how fast the service is. I mean I'm almost in and out in less than 20 minutes on a busy day. The people who work there are always friendly, nice and most of all patient with people who don't make it easy for them. I would definitely recommend this place as another healthy alternative to chopt, sweetgreen or the little beet.
google avatar

Delaney M.

Yelp
The food is just delicious, though the line can get quite long. It's a very good Mediterranean/ bowl style fast food place.
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
Delicious! Cava is a staple in my diet lately. The ingredients are always fresh. The falafel is consistently moist and flavorful and the warm vegetables always have a slight crunch and are never overcooked. I recommend super greens with brown rice, half veggies/half falafel, cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage, pickled onions, feta, and tortilla chips with red pepper hummus no dressing. Clean with fast, friendly service.
google avatar

Tutti R.

Yelp
OMG! So glad we saw this place on our last day in Washington. Being vegetarian, we keep looking around for vegetarian restaurants. We are spoiled for choice here in Washington! I'm surprised it doesn't have higher ratings! We were in DC for 5 days. This is the best vegetarian place I've been to! Wish they had one on Maui!
google avatar

Sj G.

Yelp
If you crave salad. This is your place. I always get a salad. I get half romaine and half super greens. I get chicken. I love the hummus, eggplant, and taziki. I add so many veggies the tabouleh is so delish. I have only been I. Person once with great service. I always order to go food. Packaged well and have never had an issue. Btw the tea is worth trying.
google avatar

Tamika H.

Yelp
Food is amazing. A little pricey but, worth it for the fresh food and serving size! They get super busy in Rosslyn where the line is really long but, don't worry it moves quickly. Service is always great and I always seem to find somewhere to sit. They do have a few tables outside the restaurant as well for dining. Will definitely go back!
google avatar

Kate L.

Yelp
Lashelle absolutely made my day today! After sleeping all day from night shift, Lashelle was just the ray of sunshine I needed. She brightened my day and put a huge smile on my face! Will definitely come back soon!
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
This location is awesome. I get takeout once a week and quality is consistent. Everything is fresh, pita is warm, and great portion sizes (my bowl is always packed to the brim). I love their falafel and yogurt dill dressing. My only complaint is that one serving of falafel is pretty small, but it only costs $2.50 to double it (worth it).
google avatar

Kristen R.

Yelp
They never follow directions. So frustrating bc once delivered incorrectly, it is over. . I've tried SO many times. not well run for a downtown Rosslyn, VA.
google avatar

Laur H.

Yelp
Alright, people. I'm here to spread the gospel that is CAVA. Simply put, it's chipotle, but for mediterranean cuisine, but that is so reductive. There are tons of these in DC, but none are within walking distance of my apartment. Thankfully, this one recently opened up near my boyfriend's place, so now I have an excuse to go at least once a week. A mediterranean spin on fast-casual dining, CAVA serves up fresh and flavorful salads and grain bowls. I'm legitimately obsessed. My go-to order has very quickly become half arugula, half brown rice, red pepper hummus, tzatziki and falafel, topped with olives, tomatoes, crumbled feta and lemon herb tahini, with pita on the side. That said, you really can't go wrong, and no matter what you put in them, the bowls are generous. I can usually get two meals out of mine. The service at this location is exceptional. When I was there last, I had to wait a few minutes for the falafel to come out of the fryer, so they gave me a few extra and comped my drink. If I wasn't already obsessed, that would have made me a return customer for sure.
google avatar

Benita A.

Yelp
I love Cava and work in Rosslyn so this location is ideal for me, however i've never gotten my correct order from this location. Granted it's always an online order, but something is missing each time. This prevents me from ordering here as much as i'd like.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
Fresh food and reasonably priced with good attention to covid protocols. Very satisfied and will be back. Thank you.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
I thought the bowls in the photos looked fuller than the one I actually took home. As I suspected they were prepared by the owners for the photos. More to the point, I ordered falafel, which is supposed to be bread-y. But the falafel I got was gluey, as though it were pureed lentils or black beans. Quite odd, and I didn't care for it. Nice place, nice people, so I may try it again
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Nothing hits that lunch spot like CAVA. I could eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at this place. Except, you guys replaced the pita crisps with crunchy chickpeas a couple times. I appreciate the attempt to change things up but don't mess with my pita crisps. Tahini all the way.
google avatar

Juhi T.

Yelp
Dude. I've never had a better experience with mobile ordering. First of all, the orders can be requested within 15 mins. Second, they are ALWAYS on time even during the super crazy lunch hour when the line is out the door. It's awesome. I just walk in and walk out with my order in less than 5 minutes. It seems like they have a second station just for mobile orders. For anyone who works in the area, this place is a god send!
google avatar

Katharine S.

Yelp
I would definitely come here again. It reminds me of Naya Express but with more options. Line moved fast for lunch and service was friendly. The food was all fresh and the portion was perfect. I also had their watermelon mint juice which was refreshing for a hot day.
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
Cava is the move, my friends. This brand new location is popping. The service is spectacularly fast, and no matter what you get you can't go wrong. I love the baby spinach, white rice, falafel, crazy feta, and yogurt dill sauce. The drinks are also amazing--watermelon lime is my favorite, and the selection is always changing so you always get to try something new. 10/10 recommend.
google avatar

Mariam S.

Yelp
Cava is always good. Clean healthy fast food. My only suggestion is to let us tip the people preparing our food. They are always kind and work hard. There are no tip jars or tipping on the credit card.
google avatar

Jasmine L.

Yelp
Lovely location for a new CAVA, right outside the Rosslyn metro station. The staff is friendly and the food is great as always. The high ceiling and tall windows create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere for eating lunch. So happy to see so much business on opening day! Will come back for my next CAVA cravings.
google avatar

Timmy J.

Yelp
I gotta Grain bowl yesterday with Basmati rice, eggplant red pepper dip, Harissa sauce and falafels. I was feeling good but the meal was heavy and really greasy. I've gotten this bowl before but the last few times, the quality's been noticeably different. This time around I felt really sick right after I ate it. I was feeling nauseous all day and had to have some juice cleanse at night to feel better. Rosslyn needs more vegan options other than salad places.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
Worst Cava I have been to. The GM is quite rude. Make sure to not get food poisoining.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I don't get the hype of this place. I've been here three times, each time getting a salad and falafel. They salads are really small, and they completely rush you through the line even if no one else is behind you. Skimpy on the toppings and overall just a meh salad.
google avatar

Ryan W.

Yelp
Falafels were undercooked and, as far as the staff knew, none of their dressings were non-dairy. Unimpressed as either a salad shop or as a Mediterranean cafe.

Paige K.

Yelp
Food was excellent and the service was even better! Lashelle absolutely made my day from behind the counter--will be coming back just to chat with her again!

David K.

Yelp
Lashelle Mason!!!!!!! Say it loud and say it proud! Not only did she flatter me by saying I looked like a movie star but she has the kindest heart there is. She greets every customers with the utmost respect and sincerity. Thankfully this Cava is right down the street from my house because I will 100% be back!!
google avatar

Judy M.

Yelp
I don't know why I keep giving this location multiple chances. This is the second time I had to spit out half my bowl because there were these hard pieces. Not sure what it was or where it was coming from, maybe uncooked brown rice? Either way, the first time wasn't a fluke because it happened again.
google avatar

Tish N.

Yelp
I like CAVA, I work in the area and was so excited when this location opened. My very first visit was wonderful! The portion was nice and the food was good. The place is clean of course (new) and the staff are pretty friendly. I would say I pick up CAVA about 3-4 times a month and always order the Grains bowl. I started to notice my last couple of visits I was getting less food. The first time I noticed it I figured maybe it was because for my protein, I selected the seasonal veggies instead of the usual chicken. But then the time shortly after I ordered the exact same bowl and noticed again that my portion was even smaller :(! I really like the food here but the inconsistency in the food portion is a HUGE disappointment - especially since the price is consistently $10.31.

Trey S.

Yelp
Pretty tasty DC-based chain, that is essentially the Mediterranean chipotle (and hey there's even a Chipotle right across the street). This is a good place to go when looking for a tasty meal that's light on the stomach.
