I’ve been ordering online pick up for a few years for lunch. Recently, the portions are getting worse. For $16 you’re basically getting 8 bites from it. Best if you go in stand in line for 30 min to receive a better portions…

CAVA, fast-casual build-your-own Mediterranean, is very high on our taste-per-dollar index. Everybody should know the advantages of the “Mediterranean Diet” by now, and this place offers these benefits at a very high taste quality but low price point. For gut biome fans, you can get your 20 different vegetables on one plate here, quickly, without wasting food. The grilled meats are divinely seasoned as they sizzle on the flame grill, the sauces are diverse and savory, and the staff cares about what they’re doing, knowing that they’re doing good for people with the food they serve.

THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!! This was my first time to a Cava and I was blown away!!!!!!!! The staff was so nice and accommodating and explained everything to me since I was new to the whole establishment. They also let me sample a couple of things as I built my bowl. I can’t say enough nice things about Jeff and all of the employees there. I’ve never felt so welcome at a restaurant like this, not to mention the food was AMAZING!!!!!!!! So fresh, so tasty, huge portions, and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place! 10/10 all around!!!!!

Fresh and tasty. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of ingredients. Quick serve restaurant that does it well.

Was one of my faves for months, ate it once a week, but the quality is going down, no more right rice, overcooked hard as rock lentils under fresh ones, unwashed greens. Management needs to step it up. They never have pita chips out and ready and I go there often, I'd order them if they were ever out.

I have never been to a Cava before. Went here for the first time and was greeted by Mike with extreme energy and passion. Mike did a fantastic job explaining the menu and their different options. Mike was kind enough to offer her own personal recommendations and favorite food combinations. We were skeptical about the restaurant but Mike absolutely won over three customers with his pure enthusiasm. He’s a guy that cares about his customers!

This was my first time going into Cava because I usually just get it delivered to my house but it was the best decision ever to go in person so I could experience the atmosphere and service. Which by the way the employee named Jeff had the most amazing energy such a down to earth and funny guy, he never got annoyed not once just because i kept on coming back 2 or 3 times since I forgot a couple of things.

Sooo yummy! I love this place. You can make your own bowl or get one of their pre-made ones--you can't go wrong either way. Their cucumber lemonade is delicious and refreshing.

Cava is one of my favorite fast casual chains, and this location does not disappoint. I came here on a Monday evening after work, and the place was busy, but well-staffed so the line moved relatively quickly. I got my usual order, and employees were efficient, friendly, and quick to refill any items that were running low. My bowl was fresh, filling, and delicious --all for under $12!

Cava has been hyped up for so long, and I finally got the opportunity to try it out for myself. And boy oh boy, did it live up to the hype! Cava was so delicious that I ended up having it twice consecutively for dinner, and for a Yelp elite foodie, that's saying something. Each time I got a grain bowl where I selected all the fixing with the standard chicken. It was super fresh and delicious, each bite a different flavor blast! So much tasty food. Cava follows the standard chipotle playbook, with a fast casual setup and quick friendly service. Overall highly recommend cava, and make sure to get the pita chips! Chefs kiss!

Cava is one of my favorite fast casual restaurants! You can always expect good food for a decent price. Was excited to see that there was one just outside the train station, which was convenient for me. The service here was 10 out of 10. I tried the new falafel bowl, which was great!

Came back here to try the steak harissa bowl. It's ok. The steak is chewy. I don't want to order again mainly because of this. The bowl in fact is spicy. I like the steak feta pita better. Service is ok.

These bowls have so much flavor and taste to them. The ingredients are super fresh and amazing and the sauce is an amazing flavor add as well. I loved the harissa vinaigrette and had a wonderful taste of spice. Overall, would recommend coming to this place.

CAVA never disappoints. Everything always tastes super fresh and well made. The service is friendly as well. There is plenty of seating due to there being both an upstairs and a downstairs. I recommend sitting upstairs as there are no windows downstairs, so it lacks natural light. Besides the food my favorite things at CAVA are the cucumber mint lime and the blueberry lavender drinks. Both are def a must try, and it's free refills, so why not. 10/10 been coming coming and still coming back.

Service is amazing. Food is fresh and delicious, they are very attentive to our order to make sure it's perfect. Kind and enthusiastic employees. The store is clean and organized, makes you wanna eat here. I love you cava

This place has very good food and that's about it. The restaurant and tables were filthy. Many tables very sticky and haven't been cleaned in a very long time. The drinks were almost all empty and the every soda in the machine was out of syrup.

We had a good experience at this Cava location. Apparently, it's a chain but their food was really good and didn't feel standardized due to the many options you can choose from. I had a Greek chicken bowl with RightRice which was delicious. All of the ingredients were really fresh, and it was filling while feeling healthy at the same time. My husband enjoyed his spicy lamb meatball bowl, which had just the right amount of heat. They have a nice drink menu; we had fun mixing and matching the juice and tea options. Try half blueberry lavender and half cucumber lime mint - yum! Service was good, very businesslike. We'd eat here again if we return to Boston.

Hello! We were hungry and wanted something quick and easy- healthy and vegetarian friendly! CAVA looked busy and their line was moving quickly so we figured it would be a good place to grab a fast casual meal. The spot is great if you're looking to customize your meal (think salad or bowl) style. It very much reminded me of a speedy Chipotle that was on the healthier side with a Mediterrean twist and better condiments/sauces. You start with your base (think salad, spring mix, rice, lentils, etc). Then you add your protein (chicken, falafel, steak, etc), veggies, sauces and dips. The price was reasonable for the bowl we got and they do have an assortment of dressings etc to give your meal more flavor. There are lots of drink options as well (sparkling water, soda, water, fruit drinks, etc). I had to deduct one star because they did not have forks (they ran out so I used a spoon to scoop up my salad), the condiments station was bare (no one was refilling them), the trash was FULL and filled to the rim, the bathrooms downstairs did not have any toilet paper and needed cleaning. Every staff member looked rushed (hire more staff please) but they were still very kind and friendly even when inpatient customers were being rude. Limited seating if / when busy but overall lots of places to sit down when not busy. There is a downstairs area that has additional tables but they're close to the restroom and can be distracting trying to eat and hear people flushing toilets.

This was my first time trying out Cava and it was a blast. I had to give myself a couple of minutes to try to decide what I want cause everything sounded sooo good. I got one of the bowls and pita chips. The price was a bit on the higher side but they delivered with the portion size and the taste. The pita chips are a have to. Eating them with the bowl definiely elevates the taste and experience of the bowl adding a lot of crunch and texture. The environment was pretty good. It had a sleek wooden vibe to it and customer service was pretty good too.

This Cava always has great portions l! Jeff was a joy to chat with and the rest of the workers were kind :)

CAVA is a great Mediterranean alternative to fast food restaurants, or even other sit-down restaurants. They have healthy options on their menu, whether it's their wraps, bowls, or make your own. When I'm hungry but don't have a lot of time, CAVA is a staple for me. I tend to get the make-your-own pitas and bowls, which are pretty similar every time. I get brown rice + spinach with crazy feta and tzatziki sauce, falafel + roasted vegetables, tomato + cucumber salad, corn, cabbage slaw, lentil tabbouleh, avocado, and garlic &/ lemon herb tahini dressing. Everything is delicious and I love their falafel, all for about $11! You only get 4 falafels but with all the other fixins, it's the perfect amount of food. Pita is included on the side of bowls but you have to ask for it. ambiance: 4/5 food: 5/5 service: 4/5 CAVA: 4.3/5

I tried falafel pita, which was ok but too salty. I was surprised that some employees don't remember how to make the default wraps/bowls.

First time visiting this restaurant. (3 of us). Wonderful service and very fresh, mouthwatering food choices. From the moment we entered we knew it was a good choice. It was a Tuesday evening about 9:30 pm and everything was still appealing to the eye and the senses. Often when it is near closing it can be messy, dried out and past time of serving. Not the case here. They were still very busy handling to go orders and in person orders. They took time to make sure new customers that entered were greeted and current customers waiting were checked on. No one seemed to mind the wait as they were actively working as quick and efficiently as possible. They worked well together, were polite to each other and did not let the stress of so much work at once show. I was not familiar with the choices but I was with the process of ordering and layering my meal. I spent a few moments reading the menus above the station as well as the cards attached to the glass by the different offerings. Even so the employee who served me made sure to take a moment to explain what they had and offer his suggestions when I wasn't sure what to get. What a wonderful experience and fabulous meal. I found value in the food for the price and felt as if I had been served a meal personally as a valued guest. Thank you, we will definitely be back.

I go here several times a week for lunch the food is always fresh and they're never out of anything. the staff is very nice and welcoming and the manager is always present I have never had a bad experience here. thank you Cava on Boylston

Classic Cava! Incredible food, love the lentil and super greens base, with roasted veggies and falafel. The harissa dip is fire. Great location. Bummer that they are not there on the west coast.

The food is good, but the portion was tiny for the price. I made my own bowl with romaine, hummus, harissa, harissa honey chicken, fiery broccoli, cucumbers, and pickles. The line moved pretty quickly.

Was recently in town for a conference and found Cava near my hotel in Back Bay. I ordered a wrap for pickup and it was great. The food was really good and the staff was super friendly when I went to pick up my order. Thanks, Cava!

Very greatful for a Cava in pricey and bougie Back Bay. A lot of chains and healthy bowl spots just don't cut it for me, but Cava has become a go-to. I love that the chicken is smokey and quite moist. Also a fan of the spicy falafel, fire roasted corn, pickled onions, harissa, skhug dressing, pita chips, Maine soda.... there are a lot of delicious options! The ability to customize your bowl without hidden fees is very appreciated. The only reason for a lower review is the few times I've come here, I've ordered online and I've had missing and/or added items. I really hate when there's a missing protein or something you hate added (in my case, cheese since my stomach doesn't handle dairy well). I know this location is very busy but this could be dangerous for someone with a dietary restriction... not to mention, it is simply disappointing to be missing some of your carefully selected items. I feel bad saying it but the customer service is definitely lacking so I hope they hire more employees since it seems like they are understaffed/overworked.

I was halfway done with my falafel bowl when I see this aphid? crawling around from what I assume must have been the greens mix. The food was OK (the falafel is salty as hell!) but this is kind of inexcusable for a 15 dollar bowl.

Had cava for lunch today and got food poisoning. Also the workers are really rude and you can tell they hate their jobs :/

I usually really like cava, but I don't know if it was the employees here or what, but I wasn't impressed. The bowl I had was very small and they gave me a piece of pita. They didn't have black unsweetened iced tea either. There were not a lot of clean tables either.

This location has the BEST service and food. The restaurant is so cleanly and the service is quick and efficient. As a Real Estate Agent, I am constantly on the go and always crave healthy food that has decent portions. Cava is by far my favorite spot for lunch. I get the chicken and rice bowl frequently from different locations but Cava on Boylston makes it best!

But you should exercise some moderation with the salt. Because that would be more "across the board". Like it was when I really liked the plate very much

I think that Cava is an excellent restaurant chain and a great inexpensive spot in the very expensive Back Bay area. The service was very attentive, the food was delicious and tasted very fresh and I feel like the service line moved very quickly. The patio area was a nice place to enjoy my food and it was a clean experience as well. Kudos to Cava!

Loved it! Love Mediterranean food, and how it's chipotle style where you can pick your own ingredients. I got salad and rice, the lettuce was fresh and the chicken was flavorful. It wasn't too expensive either, or even busy on a weekday at lunchtime. I didn't have to wait at all.

Food is pretty good but pretty Luke warm, including the drinks. The people working there look like and behave like that really hate there jobs; I feel for them but you shouldn't reflect that on people that are polite towards you. I try to order off the menu and I guess some of the staff seem clueless as to what I'm ordering half the time and just proceed to make me make my own bowl with whatever I want in it... Which works I guess for some, but not for those that aren't familiar with the items they have. The store is clean enough. I'll stick to the location near Fenway instead. Hopefully this store gets it together.

I order from Cava pretty regularly but today was particularly disgusting. The ends of the lettuce were included in my salad. I tried to work around it but halfway through tossed it in the garbage. I'll give them another shot because in general their salads are on point but this was really bad I tried calling the restaurant but after a couple rings it went to voicemail. I left a message with my phone number and if they call back I'll update this review.

The BEST cava!!! The service is immaculate and the food is to die for. The portion sizes are huge. My go to place for sure. Best CAVA in Boston by far

Wanted a healthy meal for lunch on my work break, first time trying and was very happy I did! Ingredients very fresh chicken cooked excellent and was very tasty I would order again! Great choice very Satisfied!

Great custom bowl I made here: rice, baby spinach, hummus, eggplant, falafel, pita chips, lemon tahini sauce. Staff were nice. Location is convenient in Back Bay. ~$12 for a custom bowl. Okay prices. Great food. Would come back.

Even when the line is long it moves quick. But tell me why their scanner for points NEVER works. I love the Greek salad, this place is my go to lunch spot at work, but I hardly get credit for all the money I spend here because the scanner is always broken... Dang

I went to the Cava in my first time and they treat me like their family and helping me a lot I had a great time in restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. In my second day I bring 5 of my friend. I believe Cava is very very special place to have food there and Managers and customer services was amazing and doing great job. the restaurant was super clean and the people were super nice. I am glad to see the people working there they enjoy their work and all of them is friendly. I would love also to thank the General manager I forgot his name he and his team was amazing. Thank you CAVA Back Bay for bing that nice and thank you managers and employees

I'm sorry Chipotle, but we need to see other people. I have CAVA in my life now. This place blew the doors off my expectations. I literally just searched Yelp for Mediterranean food and picked this place just because it was close by. The atmosphere is very modern and trendy but casual, too. It's set up like a chipotle where you build your own bowl at the counter and have the choice of sitting down and eating your creation or taking it to go. There's more seating than you think because they have a whole separate extra seating room, as well as outdoor seating. I was here at 12:30 and there were still a lot of tables available inside and 4 outside on the patio. The food is out of this world. I got a bowl with saffron rice, chicken, lemon herb tahini, and a buuuunch of other yummy ingredients. I loved how many choices there were. At first I thought the price was too high until I saw the portion size (look at my pic attached to this review). It would be very difficult/impressive to finish this in one sitting. The only thing I don't like about this place is that there's not one where I live. Can't wait till I can come here again!

Such amazing and delicious build-your-own Mediterranean bowls! You can customize what you get to your preferences. You can choose a salad, grain bowl, or mix and match! The amount of food that comes in the bowl for the price of it is amazing! Each bowl also comes with a free side of pita. I'm always looking for good mediterranean food because i LOVE hummus and tzatziki. My custom bowl order was 50/50 grains and greens (half super greens, half saffron white rice). You can 3 free spreads/dips on top, definitely pick 3! I chose tzatziki, red pepper hummus, and feta spread. For protein I chose grilled chicken. And for toppings, they have so many options, I picked pita crisps, cucumber and tomato, pickled onions, and cabbage claw. Finally, you can pick a dressing, I got the lemon herb tahini. WOW. It was so good. I ordered it and got it delivered to my apartment very fast. It was still perfect by the time it arrived at my door. Definitely on my list of regular places to order food from.

CAVA is quickly becoming one of my favorite chain restaurants. The staff is friendly and quick with your order. The food is fresh and healthy and tastes AMAZING! The bowls are extremely filling and you can customize them however you want. Definitely try the cucumber mint drink if you stop by -- it's extremely refreshing!
