I always get the Harissa Avocado Bowl at CAVA! It's my favorite! It is delightfully balanced with just the right amount of sweetness from the chicken, spiciness from the harissa & harissa vinaigrette, & good fat from the avacado & feta to cool off the spiciness from the harissa. I LIKE SPICY and this bowl is usually a great balance of flavor and spice. Today, however, the young lady that was making my bowl seemed a bit distracted & in a hurry & was VERY heavy-handed with the Harissa Vinaigrette!! I thought it looked like a lot when she squeezed it on there, but I figured she knew what she was doing & it was fine. Plus, it's the last thing that goes on top of the bowl, so I really didn't want to ask them to make the whole thing over again bc there was a lil more dressing than usual. Again, I figured it was fine. Well, it was NOT fine! I live almost 30 min away & I ordered it for take-out. By the time I got home, the red Harissa dressing had permeated EVERY SINGLE particle of food in that bowl with SOOOO MUCH SPICY TANGYNESS that it was practically inedible!! I tried to soldier on, but after a few bites, my nose was running and my mouth was ON FIRE! I tried to find some greens or some rice that maybe hadn't been drenched yet to try to balance out the spice, but there was none to be found in the bowl. The entire thing was just saturated w/harissa dressing! Like I said, I live almost 30 min away, so stopping in at CAVA when I'm in the area & dropping $25 on a delicious bowl and some pita chips & crazy feta dip is always a special treat for me. Needless to say, I'm VERY disappointed in what I got today. It was not a treat; it was a MESS! I mean, I'm sure I'll be back at some point, but it's probably going to be a very long time before I can bring myself to eat here again. And that makes me sad bc all of my previous experiences have been great. But today, I feel like I wasted $25 on a meal that I can't eat; and I KNOW that it's only a matter of time before my stomach starts yelling at me for trying to soldier on! Hopefully, I have enough Tums to put out the fire in my gut when it starts burning as much as my lips do now! I'm very disappointed with my CAVA experience today. 🥺 I've posted 2 pictures where you can see that EVERYTHING is just saturated w/Harissa Vinaigrette! The lid is even COVERED in it...

I stopped in today when I realized I hadn’t eaten. I ordered the Greek salad bowl, but let her know I was allergic to red onions. The staff was super accommodating of my allergy, she even took it upon herself to make sure the dressing was safe for me! The food was fresh and excellent. Highly recommend!

This was my first time eating at CAVA and I loved it! The restaurant was clean and the food was fresh. I had the falafel bowl for a filling meat-free option. It was light and tasty, but the falafel were not as crunchy as I'd have liked. Next, time I'll try the greek salad bowl. Would recommend.

Stopped for a quick lunch at work with my teammates. Everyone loved the food and the drinks are great. It wasn't the typical fast food place at all. It was like Mediterranean meets Subway.

The service was amazing! Keilani was very patient with me considering it was my first time. She helped me make my bowl step by step. I really appreciated that. And Jaklyn followed through with letting me taste test different sauce to make sure I was satisfied with my order.

Man I love cava but their employees (and manager who was on the line today. Not register) have such a horrible attitude. We only have two locations. But I’ll go out of my way to go to Metairie next time cause they sure were acting like they hated their jobs with their attitudes, seriously. And I never leave reviews.

I have always heard of Cava and never knew there was one nearby. This place was very clean. The parking lot is in a shopping center and it is located steps away from Chipotle. The inside was busy, but the cleanliness was amazing. I also enjoyed that they kept up with their condiment area. The employees were super friendly and I was greeted upon arrival. The menu options were almost limitless. I do not like taking long to order, so I went with my move. I ordered a bowl that included chicken, steak, and lots of vegetables. I saw they had pita chips and ordered that as well. When arriving to the cashier, I noticed they have treats. I ordered those, as well. (Greedy, I know) I had a long drive between Cava and the place I'd actually eat and the food held its temperature. The food was delicious and the portions were awesome. I will definitely make this one of my regular haunts.

Rarely do I write bad reviews that have nothing to do with the food, but there's always that one exception. I placed and online order with the Cava location in Elmwood. The app said the order would be ready at 12, which was 30 minutes from when the order was placed. I arrived at 12 and my order wasn't ready. That's fine, there were at least 5 other people waiting for orders so I knew they were backed up. The issue I have is that I waited an additional 20 MINUTES to receive my order! Everyone that walked in at the same time I did and went through the line to order food were almost finished eating by the time I got my food! How long does it actually take to place precooked food in a container? Guess I'll just walk in next time. Way faster! And, the food was cold!

I'm still Carver, you can expect consistency across the board whether it's their food items their service or even the environment it always remains true that fresh food, con service, and clean environment is what you can expect from cava. I went there today to receive the Greek salad with no tomatoes and as usual, it was delicious. I highly recommend, if you are looking for casual, fast, dining fresh Whole Foods bon appétit

Great concept: think Mediterranean chipotle. Let me start with saying the food is bomb. I love it love it love it. Service is great too. The workers are very patient when you're ordering and knowledgeable about the food. One girl really went above and beyond and gave me a sample of the two things I was stuck between. It is a little pricey for every day. Maybe like a treat yourself option. They also have no name brand soda options, if that's something that matters to you. Sometimes I just want a Dr. Pepper/Diet Coke.

I wanted to like it so badly. I got a bowl with brown rice and the spicy honey chicken? protein. Once I bit into my food I felt something crunch between my teeth. It felt like plastic, so I spit it out. It was rice. I was relieved that it was food, but every two or three bites, I felt rice grains cracking between my teeth because it was extremely hard.

I wasn't a huge fan of CAVA when I first tried it and couldn't quite figure out why. I enjoy your typical Greek salads, moussaka, gyros, etc., so it was bizarre. Fast forward, I recently tried the Harissa Avocado bowl and added roasted eggplant dip. OMG! Pair that with an order of pita chips--so good!! The Harissa Bowl does pack a nice kick. If you like some heat, get this one! The ingredients were so fresh and hearty. It was enough to share. The pita chips are always delicious. They're chewy, a bit crispy, with the perfect denseness. I've only visited the actual establishment once and can't recall any issues with customer service.

The service was okay. They weren't rude but also not super welcoming. The food was really good, I enjoyed the build your own bowl. I wish the portion was a bit bigger but I was satisfied. The lemonade is really good! It's ver chill and quiet inside.

The food is fresh great quality and variety. The protein choices are all good. The toppings are pretty endless. It's a busy place but they have a good system we have never had to wait long. We go twice a week after the gym.

This is a great spot to check out if you are wanting to change your eating habit and do it while keeping the food tasty yet healthy all at the same time. Very easy to order, in which you can basically build your food. I love it

The food was great. I got the bowl with half chicken and half roasted veggies and lots of toppings. Forgot the names of the drinks but i mixed a pink and green one and it was yummy! So the bad... the line felt like it took forever! And they were out of a few things. So, I'll definitely go back for my Mediterranean food fix, but hopefully on a less crowded day once they've worked out some of the new restaurant kinks.

I used to live near a Cava in another state and am ecstatic that they opened up a location near New Orleans! Ordering: Super similar to Chipotle with a lot more choices to choose from which can be overwhelming if you haven't been before. They do have a selection of preset menu items if you don't want to customize and build your own bowl/salad/pita. For build-your-own, first you're going to pick your base. I went for a bowl with half saffron basmati rice + half supergreens mix. Then you choose up to three dips (hummus, crazy feta, and harissa for me). Then meat/proteins -- I opted to do the mixed option and went half chicken and half falafel. Then unlimited toppings! Get all, some, or none of them. My go-to is "everything except the olives, please!" And last but not least, choose a sauce. I absolutely love their harissa-based condiments so of course I had to go with the spicy harissa vinaigrette. Food: 5/5, DELICIOUS. Usually I have a bit leftover to eat the next day. Already craving Cava again. I will say, back in the day, they used to give out a small side of pita along with your bowl, so I'm not sure if they're done with that or if you just have to ask at the register...? Misc: Looks like other reviewers have had problems with pick-up orders but I had no problems ordering in person. Staff was friendly. Very clean inside. Easy and plentiful parking.

Steak and grilled lamb added to the bowl fire!! Pretty sure it's gonna get to busy and fall off but for now this place is a hit! Gonna be hard to not go there daily for lunch.

Giving them a little grace since they just opened. I did a pickup order which wasn't ready until ~10 minutes after the promised time. They seemed fully staffed and the line inside wasn't horrible, so I'm not sure what the delay was about. There were other people waiting on late pickup orders as well. Food: I've been seeing this place being hyped on social media and I was ecstatic to finally have one in close proximity! I will say, it's definitely worth the hype! I wasn't sure what to get, but after browsing Tiktok, I was able to create the perfect bowl. The fried pita chips are a must!! They heighten the meal. 8.5/10

I was excited to finally try CAVA now that we have one in the city and I really enjoyed it! The inside of the restaurant is very clean and usually when I go during the day there is hardly ever a line so I go straight through. The ingredients are fresh and the staff is helpful. I ordered the Harissa Avocado Bowl no avocado and it was delicious! I love that it's a lighter entree option but still full of flavor. The pita chips are also really good. Love the crispy yet chewy texture!

The food was great.! The seating is very chill, it's definitely a great vibe.! My fiancé got the wrap and I got a bowl.! EVERYTHING TASTE SO FRESH.! I would give this place a 10 plus, we will definitely be back.!

My first time eating here and the first impression was terrible. The staff are beyond RUDE! I was trying to ask questions as a first time patron and was ignored by 2 different employees. I ended up ordering the Greek Salad and was highly disappointed. The girl who took my order just threw some iceberg lettuce in a bowl then states "We're out of arugula" & tossed the bowl on the counter and walks off. Someone else came up and asked what I wanted. I told her I ordered the Greek Chicken Salad. She grabs the bowl of lettuce and asked what kind of meat I wanted. Ummmm....I ordered the Greek Chicken. I asked her the same question 3 times and she ignored me. My bowl was only about half full. I would have expected a full salad at that price. Also, not just iceberg lettuce. I won't be going back.

Service was quick. It reminds me of a Mediterranean Chipotle. Cafeteria style Mediterranean food. Overall good lunch, very crowded. Friendly staff.

This place is *chef's kiss* - so this is my second time trying Cava. The first time I forgot to take pictures because I was too excited to try it. On my first try I created my own bowl since I decided to go in store. I was overwhelmed because they had so many options. This visit I opted for the Tahini Caesar bowl with half romaine lettuce and half arugula. It was soo good. I also tried their strawberry citrus and cucumber mint lime drinks. The drinks were ok. I find them already filled with water and the ice just makes it watery. The service is very fast and the employees are always polite. This place is very open, not really an intimate place. I can't wait until they open the Vets location.

I've been waitinggggg for cava to open because of all the Tik toks I've seen! I went during my lunch break and I was so excited to finally try. The service was awful in my opinion, the workers were not friendly and actually seemed to have unnecessary attitude. One of them was fixing my bowl with one hand of her hip the entire time. Whatever, fast forward...the bowl was really good! I loved the basmati rice and the harissa chicken. I also got lamb which was an additional $3 but it was so tasty! I was overwhelmed by all the sauces and dressings but I liked that they let you get 3 dressings on the side. My favorite ended up being the harissa hot vinaigrette

I went to this Cava location for the first time last weekend and it was so clean and tasty! I always order the kid's meal which is a half pita (includes 1 protein, 2 toppings, and 1 sauce), a side where I picked rice, then either the choice of the pita crisps or carrot sticks with a dip, and a kid's drink. I always love getting the pita crisps with tzatziki sauce and then lavender drink which are just great options! For all of that food, it comes out to less than $7 after tax which is a steal to me. I seriously love Cava and this location didn't disappoint. My only knock on it was that their rice was a little bit stale but that's excusable because everything else was great!

After hearing about cava this and cava that, I was excited they finally opened one here since it looked so good in all the videos and pictures I've seen. It was packed when they first opened, so online order wait times and dine in was kinda slow but that has improved and now I just get my order to go online anyways. Walking in, the line is built for a BYO concept so you move through the line like you would subway or chipotle. I always get the greens and grains bowl with super greens & saffron basmati rice. I then do 2 scoops of tzatziki, honey harissa chicken (extra $1.25 btw), firey broccoli, corn, extra pickled onions (they're so good!!!!), tomato&cucumber, and Persian cucumbers bc I like cucs. I then top it off with garlic dressing and get a side of yogurt dill. This has been my go to order everytime I get a bowl. They also offer a free side of pita bread with your order, which has been forgotten with my bowl a few times but whatever. Do get the pita chips side! They're crispy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. Two bowls and a side of pita chips runs me about $28, but I feel like the portion is really good. Few gripes I have is that the 3 or so times I've been in, there's one employee that looks miserable. Like she hates her job and doesn't smile nor does she really acknowledge those ordering like asking "hey what can I get for you today" I just usually order before we have a weird stare off. I did mention they've forgotten my free complimentary pita once or twice for online order, but when I went the first time in they didn't ask me and I later found out you had to ask for it? Not sure about that, but just a heads up if you want it you'll probably have to mention it. I just usually online order now and my order has been correct and finished on time which is improvement from how it used to be. The super greens veggies are sometimes cut too large and are hard to chew, but otherwise I really like the food in a sense that I don't feel gross after eating it. All the ingredients just taste fresh and it's a lot of veggies. Portions big enough so that I usually eat it for two meals! Pretty solid spot overall.

Delicious!!!I have been so eager to try CAVA ever since I heard about it on TikTok. The atmosphere was clean, modern, health conscious. The staff was friendly and although still getting used to the menu, are fast and make the menu items carefully. The food was so good. I tried the Spicy Harissa Chicken +Avocado Pita and have no regrets. You get the option to create your own bowl or pita, but I wanted to see the curated options first. I will definitely be back. Prices are moderate but please keep in mind the food is fresh and healthier than your average lunch spot. I tried the Cucumber Mint juice and loved it. Has the perfect amount of sweet just for me. I also tried the strawberry citrus drink and like that one as well. ...and I couldn't help myself and got the Salted Chocolate Oat cookie .Cava I hope you're here to stay. First Review and I'm leaving 4 stars.

This place needs some sort of management in place, the staff is so rude and it like you're bothering them by coming there to eat. I get it working in food service is not always the greatest but my goodness they are just simply unnecessarily rude. It's like you can feel it that you're bothering them, makes you just want to walk out of the place honestly.

I was so excited when I heard that Cava would be opening. The experience was just okay and I feel like they still need to figure some things out. The cashier had no idea what was going on and was just ringing stuff up. I ordered a Harissa Avocado Bowl and she just started ringing up random ingredients that were in the bowl...weird. You can get complimentary pita bread upon request. Complimentary equals one tiny piece. There were 2 pieces in one small bag and I informed the cashier that the other guest wanted pita. She said they're both in the bag. That was weird...they should at least make an effort to separate the guests' food. I asked for the dressing on the side but didn't get it. When I asked for it, they were super stingy and only put a couple of squirts in an already tiny cup. Taste wise, the bowl was bland. I had the same bowl at a Cava location in Georgia and it was delicious. Fast forward to a couple of weeks later, I decided to try this location again. Upon entering, there was a long line that wasn't moving and everyone behind the counter looked confused. The line with the food was in disarray and needed to be wiped clean. I decided to leave and I'm not really sure if I want to return.

My fiancé and I have been putting off trying Cava for a while now, but I must say the food was absolutely amazing!! They had us hooked at the fresh hot pita chips. I got the spicy chicken bowl, and even tho it was a little spicier than expected I still give it a 10/10. I also tried a few sauces and dips that I would not have normally tried, and I must say I was very impressed. This is added to our list of favorite spots.

Ordered online 20min before arriving and Asia said my order would be right up. Then 5 people walked in and got their ordered taken before they started making mine. Great place to eat but asia and other staff are not trained properly

How dare they shut Zoe's down and replace it with this the food is just blah. A salad and drink was $20 and it wasn't even that good. Avocado was brown. They should take Zoes menu over bc this is...not it

Great casual eatery for lunch. CAVA recently opened up in Metairie. Since its opening, I've been to lunch twice. Both times, the eatery got very busy, but the staff members were very quick with making my order. I've gotten the harissa chicken bowl each time I've been. It's so good, but I will say the harissa chicken is pretty spicy. I'm obsessed with the green skhug sauce.

cava today was amazing i feel as if the staff were attentive and helpful. my food was delicious as always! the pita were CRISPY! Will be back tomorrow for lunch

First time eating Cava and loved it. A very good healthy alternative choice for lunch or dinner. Restaurant was clean. Ky was very friendly and courteous. Definitely returning

The food here is very good but the employees are not nice. They all look miserable, especially if you ask them a question. Managers - you need to take notice of how customers are treated. I'll wait a while to revisit in hopes some friendly employees are hired. And by the way, what restaurant has no artificial sweeteners? Apparently this one. They said they don't order it.

Waited 40 minutes to be given a bag with my food in it behind the counter (that was confirmed ready) while multitudes of people were served that came after me. I understand a lunch rush but that doesn't pardon incompetence. It's easy to ascertain why some make fast food a career in place of college entry. In the words of Les Miles, have a great day.

Love this place. It's pretty quiet and laid back! The food is good! My order was made wrong and they had no problem re-making it. It took 3 tries, but their attitudes were great! The staff made sure I left happy! I will definitely visit again..

I just want to know why Cava only give discounts to police and Firefighter's and not Military?! Last time I checked, if the Military don't show up it won't be a police or firefighter to come to work. They take years away from their family's so that we can be our's safe 24/7!! Please tell me why?!!!

The place a few doors down was busy and all the tables were dirty so we decided to try this joint for the first time--SO glad we did!!!!! DELISH! The options, the freshness, the taste and even the employees smiling--all things that are hard to find these days.

My family and I visited this place on Sunday night (Elmwood location). First off, the staff was exceptional. The cashier Danielle at the counter was great! Her customer service skills were beyond. She was so patient with us as we couldn't make up our minds. The food was wonderful. I had the Harissa chicken bowl...loved it. We came from Marrero. I would drive all the way back there to have lunch again. Thanks!

Pleasantly surprised. I had never heard of this place. I decided to drop by with my family. Very good variety. Cashier clearly explained the process and our choices. Can't wait to return.

Food is GREAT! I'd give the food 5 stars. The restaurant is in desperate need of a strong leader/manager. I stood in line for 45 minutes! The team working the line is SLOW. Every single person on the line had zero motivation to serve customers quickly and efficiently. Honestly the entire staff looked overwhelmed. When I finally got to the end of the food line the cashier and two other workers were distracted with some customer's issue and left me waiting for several minutes. The cashier forgot to give me a cup for my drink. There were no napkins or drink lids in the refreshment area. The trash was overflowing. I want to love this place. I really enjoy the food but the team needs leadership & training ASAP if this franchise hopes to succeed in NOLA.

Delicious food. I've mostly ordered for delivery and a few pickups since it's close to where I work. It was a hassle when it first opened but the kinks have smoothed out over the last couple months. It's worth the cost for the huge portion in my option. I rarely finish a bowl. Never sat inside but it's clean and not too loud
