"Following on from the success of their restaurant in Comporta, chef Bruno Contreras decided to open another space in the oldest city in the Alentejo, in the grandiose setting of the 14C Palace of the Dukes of Cadaval, now embellished with a cheerful decor of vibrant colours. The menu comprises dishes designed for sharing as well as “petiscos” such as the delicious empanadas filled with lamb and a seaweed sauce, the enticing Alentejo tortilla with caramelised onion, and the unmissable choco sautéed in butter, accompanied by organic chickpeas and coriander. Make sure you also try some of the innovative cocktails here!" - Michelin Inspector

Our visit to Cavalariça Évora was nothing short of exceptional. Opting for the tasting menu, we were taken on a beautifully curated culinary journey that showcased the chef’s mastery of flavors and technique. Each course was perfectly executed, balanced, and thoughtfully paired with exquisite wines that elevated the experience even further. The service was impeccable—hospitable, attentive, and genuinely passionate. The staff took the time to explain each dish and wine pairing, adding depth to our appreciation of the meal. Their warmth and professionalism made the evening even more memorable. From the first bite to the last sip, everything was flawless. If you’re looking for an extraordinary fine dining experience in Évora, this is a must-visit. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a refined and unforgettable meal.

Recommended by a local. Didn't disappoint us. We tried the tasting menu Moments 7 course dinner. The staff explained in details every dishes. They are using in season fresh ingredients and change menu accordingly. You won't know what you will get until they serve you. Just one warning, the portion can be a lot compared to usual fine dining. Definitely a restaurant that worth revisit.

We’ve been going to Cavalariça Comporta since ‘17 and have been to the Evora location 3-4x. Yday we had lunch in Evora on a boiling hot day and didn’t want a big meal. Cavalariça was spot on with a lighter menu than we expected with great summer dishes (e.g., lettuce wrap with veggies, beetroot salad and a dessert of citrus / honey / chamomile ice cream). Gr8 service and very reasonable prices for the quality of the food. Obrigado Team Cavalariça👏🏻

Exceptional food with some really surprising flavors. The tempura vegetables were unbelievable. The lamb empanadas were outstanding, but the real star is the chimichurri sauce that comes with it. On the mains, the ravioli was perfect. The migas might be my favorite dish in Portugal. You just save room for the soufflé dessert. It’s pretty epic. The service was top-notch. A very impressive restaurant.

The chef’s tasting was a culinary adventure. One of the best meals I’ve had in all of Portugal. The staff was extremely attentive and the chef extraordinarily talented. Highly recommend!

The menu is creative, fun, and truly delicious, pairing flavors and techniques from around the world. Portions were appropriate and well priced for the quality. Can’t recommend enough.

We had an amazing dinner here. We tried lots of small plates instead of having main courses and all the flavors were great. The presentation of the food is also very good. We loved the staff who were very attentive and friendly. The setting is lovely in a quiet courtyard with a couple of fountains. Highly recommend this restaurant.
